Adobe Captivate video encountered an internal error (unable to understand category list).

Using Captivate 6 (64bit) on Windows 7 machine. When I try to upload a demonstration video to YouTube I get the error: adobe captivate video encountered an internal error (unable to understand category list). Any ideas what would be causing this?

I am indeed running version 6.0.1.240 here are the screen shots:

Please make sure you have the right version of Presenter installed on your system.
If the Microsoft office installed is 32 bit, presenter version needs to be 32 bit.
If the Microsoft office installed is 64 bit, presenter version needs to be 64 bit.
Could you please check if the problem is because of the wrong version.

the problem is that when i try to submit for email i am
getting this
the button is supposed to submit a email to ---->

Sometimes a quick trick to try is to do a <CFABORT> on
the first line of code..run it, nothing will happen, then take it
out.. and when you run it again you'll probably get the detailed
diagnostics that'll tell you what it's not happy about.
Otherwise...just progressively comment out code until it
starts working, and you've isolated where the issue is.

Unable to start VM - The server encountered an internal error

Hi All,
I am having the following issue this morning when attempting to start my VM,
Failed to start the virtual machine 'XXXX'. The operation '80496101afa9641fa46a0b99afdf361e'
failed: 'The server encountered an internal error. Please retry the request.
Nothing has changed and we have plenty of credit on our account,
I've done some searching around and can see a number of other users with similar issues but various solutions; some of which involve recreating the VM which seems extreme.
Hoping someone can assist.

Did you start the VM in the Azure management portal? If yes, I recommend you to use Azure PowerShell commands to see if the issue persists:
start-Azurevm -Servicename xxx -Name xxx

If you still cannot start the VM and you have no important data on the temporary driver (D:), you can resize the VM to check the result (After resizing, the data on the temporary driver would be lost).

I need help with this error message "seek encountered an internal error"

I wonder if anyone can help me with a Captivate issue: I just upgraded to 5.5 - when I try to insert a video slide I get an error "seek encountered an internal error". The video is a 35.3 MB flv file.
This is a prroject that I have been working on for months and need to switch the video on the slide to an updated video - so I try to delete the video slide that is there and insert a new slide but when browse for the new video file I want to use, I keep getting this error message.

Internal Error - Unable to generate SQL for this Scheduled Workbook

I am encountering the following error when loading the results of a Scheduled Workbook;
Internal Error - Unable to generate SQL for this Scheduled Workbook (If you scheduled this workbook using a previous version of Discoverer, please reschedule and re-open)
This only happens for one of the scheduled workbooks and I am struggling to find an explanation to the problem. There are no reference to database links in the workbook so I can rule that out as a cause.
Does anyone have any suggestions to what might be causing the problem?

Hi,
The version is OracleBI Discoverer Plus Version 10.1.2.48.18. Do you think this has anything to do with it?If you are on this version, then you have the recommended patches applied.
Did you try to reschedule the workbook and see if this helps in resolving the issue?
I would suggest you enable server logging as this may help in collecting more details about the error.

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5 folder
Mac: /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Captivate 5 folder
rename Captivate 5 to Captivate 5_old
and then try to launch Captivate 5

Oracle ODBC - Internal Error - unable to initialize NLS during driver load

I'm having some trouble with my ODBC connections which I hope someone can please help me with!
About 6 weeks ago all was working as normal.
As far as I know there have been no updates to the ORacle DB, the Windows XP operating system or the ODBC Drivers.
Today when I opened access and visual case 2 to connect to Oracle I was at first greeted with a:
unable to connect SQLState=IM004 SQL_HANDLE_ENV
error. ODBC also kept crashing.
I restarted the computer and was confronted with a different error:
odbc SQLSTate 08004 ORA 12154 TNS could not resolve the connect identifier specified
I was able to fix this error by setting the environment variable TNS_ADMIN in windows xp environment variables. I'm extremely confused about how this happened though as it was working and I don't think anything has changed.
I was then able to connect to the database via Microsoft Access but when I opened Visual Case 2 and tried to make an update, I was confronted with the following error:

I looked in the registry at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\KEY_OraClient10g_home1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\KEY_OraClient10g_home2
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\KEY_OraDb10g_home1
and NLS_LANG was set to "AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252" in all 3 places.
(Though KEY_OraClient10g_home2 only had 4 entries as opposed to KEY_OraClient10g_home1's 13 entries)...
Since I made those changes I can no longer connect through Access.
I just receive a ODBC - connection to 'xxx' failed
Advice greatly appreciated!!!!

Actually it sort of does...
I switched the ODBC connection to use instant client and now it's all working again.
The biggest mystery is what changed to make it suddenly stop working the old way...

Encountered an internal error in the SSL library

We need to harden our environment according CIS standards. After applying those policies I am encountering following issue:
Unix/Linux agents managed by the interal Unix/Linux resource (Management Servers domain joined) pool turn grey with the
WS-Management Certificate Health in critical state. Some return healthy after a while... to fail again after a while.
When I resign the certificate through Discovery Wizard the agent turns healthy again... to return to a grey state again after a while.

When I re-execute the command right afterwards... it succeeds! :-/ When I run the command 10 minutes afterwards, it fails again the
first time it is executed.
My guess the possibility it is related to above issue is likely.
I'm not having this issue on the gateway servers (not domain joined) where the policies are not applied.
P.s. Unfortunately I installed security and critical updates a few hours before applying the gpo so it could well be related to that
also.
Before I try to revert the changes made by the gpo... can anyone verify if a setting in the gpo can cause this issue?
Relevant part (I think) of the gpo below. Or does anyone know what this might be caused by or how to further troubleshoot this?

System cryptography: Use FIPS 140 compliant cryptographic algorithms, including encryption, hashing and signing algorithms
Description: For the Schannel Security Service Provider (SSP), this security setting disables the weaker Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols and supports only the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols as a client and as a server (if applicable). If this
setting is enabled, Transport Layer Security/Secure Sockets Layer (TLS/SSL) Security Provider uses only the FIPS 140 approved cryptographic algorithms: 3DES and AES for encryption, RSA or ECC public key cryptography for the TLS key exchange and authentication,

Disabled the setting in a new gpo and everything returned to normal.

I don't know where the German error message comes from. The whole system is English. Translation is: "ASA error -192: primary key for table 'PhysicalElement' isn't distinct'

Well known issue in LMS 2.6. Most likely you are hitting CSCsm97530. As a temporary solution you could remove and re-add problematic device from CS. To get a permanent fix you need a patch (provided by TAC).

HI, I am trying to use quickVm create in powershell as I have a need to autmate the creation. Since this monring, I am stryudggling to acheive this task. Cloud service gets created and deployed and then I get :

I tried again, I came across another error
New-AzureQuickVM : Service already exists, Location cannot be specified.
According to powrshell doc, we can reuse an exisiting service name but it seems that this is not true, I needed to remove the cloud service manually in the portal, I reissued agai and again but getting always the same error

Hi,
You need to determine the original error that is being generated by oracle. This can be done by attempting to rename the table yourself. For example:
SQL> alter table TestTable rename to RenamedTable ;
That will give you a better understanding as to why Workspace Manager is unable to rename the table. Also, what version of the database and workspace manager are you using ?
If the direct rename succeeds while enableversioning continues to fail, then you would need to file a TAR on this.

Ok. I've managed to solve my problem. Thanks to everybody.
For anyone who is interested in here is the solution that fixed the error for me :
Because I had before installed JVM version 1.4.2 and then I uninstalled it and put the version 1.4.1_01, as the one that App Server 7.0 is using, the uninstaller has left a newer version of jvm.dll in WINNT/System32
After I've renamed this file to _jvm.dll (for example), just to get rid of it, the domain and his instances have started correctly.
