Adobe CC not opening (PDapp.exe loads then it stops)

Hey everyone!
Would love any assistance on this. We have deployed a few lab machines with Adobe CC2014 installed. Windows 7 64Bit on a Lenovo S30 with 8 GB of RAM. Last week I got a ticket that some of them were asking for the sign in info again. When I went to sign them in the sign in screen was different. It validated my email address with a green check mark as opposed to before where you just entered the login/password without it giving a check mark when signing in.
When I went up to check out this issue there were a few machines that would not open Photoshop or any Adobe CC program when clicked on by shortcut or the .exe in Program Files. It doesnt even show up in the task manager. Installed all Windows updates and disabled antivirus to see if there was something blocking it to no avail.
I saw that when I deleted the OOBE folder in the Administrator AppData folder (I was logged in as Administrator)   Photoshop.exe would show up in task manager and then PDapp.exe*32 would show up and then photoshop would disappear.from the task manager and not load either way even when it was in the Task Manager.
On half of the machines photoshop opens up incredibly fast so I know it is not the deployment but whatever changed last week to update the login screen. I am trying to figure out what would stop any CC program from opening (my feeling is the PDapp.exe is doing something. We have so many people that log into these computers and depend on CC opening. Any help would be wonderful.

John, good suggestion but Adobe's chat support is down for another week and a half so that solution wouldnt work.
It looks like they released an Application Manager update that broke our deploy package. After logging into the new application manager that was installed as an update last week in our labs all cc products stopped working.
After removing PDapp from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE and reinstalling the application manager our programs now boot as 30 day trials which is better than nothing. I am trying to figure out how to get to a "License This Product" screen to enter our volume key. Anyone know how to get to a screen where you can enter a product key in a 30 day trial?

  • Adobe Designer not opening in NWDS

    Hi,
Adobe Designer not opening in NWDS. When I open it as stand alone, it works fine. I Re-installed NWDS. Still no luck.I did tick the adobe Designer option while installing the NWDS setup.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna

    HI Prassana,
Close the developer Studio, and from the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Designer 6.0, open the designer by clicking on FormDesigner.exe
Then close designer and then open the NWDS.

my photoshop elements12 will not update says error and contact adobe but not open now for help.  windows vista

I need the updates because I just purchased a Nikon D60 and my Photoshop does not read the .NEF files produced by the camera.
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
Do you really mean the Nikon D60 which shipped in 2008? Was it purchased secondhand?
The Nikon D60 was first supported in Adobe Camera Raw 4.4.
Photoshop CS4 ships with Camera Raw 5.0 so it can read D60 NEF files out of the box. No updates required.
If you do mean the D60 then something else must be going on. e.g. are you using Nikon software to transfer files from camera to computer?

  • CS6 Adobe Extension Manager opens in Dreamweaver but then stalls

CS6 Adobe Extension Manager opens in Dreamweaver but then stalls and never opens anything, nor can I install anything.
I have removed and installed the Ext manager twice, no help at all.

    Hi Tr_moore,
Apologies that you have been facing this issue with Extension Manager, can you please follow below steps and let us know if that works for you.
Sorry we do not have a clean workaround for this issue, There is a slightly destructive workaround, where in all your previously installed extensions for all Adobe Products will be removed, you will need to make note of all the extensions installed for each Adobe Product and install them one at a time after you have followed the below steps.
    1. Goto Below folder and Delete it completely
         Win : C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6
         Mac : /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS6
    2. Goto Below Folder and Delete it Completely
         Win : %Appdata%\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6
         Mac : ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS6
Please notice the difference in the Mac path, there is an extra "~" for point no. 2
    3. Uninstall Extension Manager CS6 with Remove Preferences.
    4. Now install Extension Manager CS6
Do let us know if this helps.

my downloaded apps are not opening, they flash and then shut down. This hapened after i upgraded to the 5.0. How do i fix it!? I've tried everything

You need to resync you applications or redownload them for free via app store. They may be read by your phone, but they are really not there. Re downloading will fix this.

  • Just purcashed more memory.  adobe will not open.

just purchased memory   adobe is not opening.

    Your brevity is impressive.
Please tell us a few more details, like operating system, how much memory you have (and how much did you have before), what error messages you are getting, do other programs work, and the exact sequence of steps you went through from purchasing memory (I assume you mean you installed the memory as well, but please tell us if that is what you mean) to the inability to open "adobe" (I assume you mean Photoshop Elements, but please tell us what you really mean)

  • My adobe will not open my jpeg pics

My adobe will not open my jpeg pics

We do not know what your Adobe is as our Adobe is a company, not a software program.
If you are tryint open jpegs with Adobe Reader or Adobe Flash Player you are out of luck since they do not open files of that type. If you are trying to edit jpegs you need a program like Adobe Photoshop Elements. If you only want to view jpegs, they you can direct almost any web browser to the file for viewing. There are many free software programs for viewing and editing jpeg files.
    ImageJ - RSB Home Page
ImageJ is provided the the U.S. Government's  National Institue of Health. It will open jpegs with no issue.

  • Safari could not open this page because the server stopped responding

Since upgrading to 4.2 I get this message a lot even though the page loads anyway:
"safari could not open this page because the server stopped responding"

Have you Checked your firewall setting(of both windows and of the Anti Virus).
I was Having the same Problem, and tried everything from the Internet, then i realised that firewall can mess things up and so i immediately TURNED OFF the firewall and restarted my Network and my Ipod ....THE INTERNET WORKED
i am using win vista and McAfee.
want to add few more things:
1> adjusting brightness has nothing to do with Networking.
2> Multiplayer/online games also get into problem due to antivirus firewall(AVG anitvirus specially.....Disabling firewall or setting it to permit the Device/program to access Internet WORKS)
3>to know if the problem is with the Idevice or with the System, try connecting other devices to that netwrk, if non of them connect then its the problem with the System/Network/OS and not with the Device........Resetting you Idevice again and again will not Solve the problem.
    Happy Idevicing

Settings → scroll down to Safari → in Safari settings, I selected both Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.

Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

    Go to Settings>General>Reset
Reset the network settings - you will need to add the password of your home WiFi in your phone once more

  • My iPad shows Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. How can I access Safari?

I cannot acces Safari (for the past three days) A message shows 'Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. How can I rectify this?

Well, you are accessing Safari.  It's just that there's a page it's trying to access on the web, one that you last used, and that website is not available.  When looking at the dead page in Safari, tap the lower right icon to shrink down the page and then tap the "x" to get rid of it.  You can then try going to another site.

-Rest all settingsusing the option un settings-general Reset allsettings to the original factory, reset network settings
-Shut it down and restart the iPad. Hold theSleep/Wake button and slide to the right when prompt. Wait for 10 seconds andthen it back on by holding down the Sleep/Wake button again.
-Rebooting(Hold both home and lock (do not let go for slide to turn off) keep holdinguntil you see apple logo)

The only option it appears you didn't try is to clear your cache and cookies.  So, go into settings > safar > Clear Cookies, then Clear Cache and see if that helps.....
