Adobe CC will not install programs onto the selected drive.

I have 2 hard drives in my computer. I have low space on my boot drive so i'm attempting to install adobe cc premiere onto my 2tb storage drive. however whenever i attempt the install it wants to install onto the c:// drive. where i have no space. I have gone into the preferences of CC and changed the install location. but it still tries the c drive! this makes me a sad panda.
Any insight or suggestion are greatly appreciated.

We can't know. You have not provided any proper system information. Based on your limited information and your use of "storage drive" terminology I would assume that this is a non-permanent, removable drive and those can't be used for software installs. Not only does Adobe not allow it, but this is a fundamental thing in Windows. If that's the case, then you're out of luck. Otherwise there could simply be issues with the drives configuration like a specific RAID/ SATA driver being required or all sorts of permissions issues....

Your Mac has a directory named Backups.backupdb located on it.  If you have good time machine backups somewhere else, you can delete the directory and ML will allow you to select the drive.

  • Adobe CS4 will not install on new macbook pro [was: pro]

Adobe CS4 will not install on new macbook pro. It is coming from my other macbook.

Install normally means running setup from the orginal discs or the downloadable trial version. If you are copying from a backup or another computer, that won't work.
Best advice is to download the CS4 trial, and have your serial number ready in order to convert the trial into a licensed version.
Get the trial here. Follow the instructions carefully or the download link won't work.

  • Adobe Air will not install. Prior to attempted reinstall, it would not update.

Adobe Air will not install / reinstall. Prior to attempt to reinstall, it would not update. The automatic "update now" button was greyed out, but the "update later" button was active.

Here is what my system administrator wrote:
    1. Right-Click on the installer, clicked 'Show Package
Contents' and attempted to install from the MasOS folder. This
provided an interesting error in the terminal window, however still
    did not install.
    2. From there, I opened 'Console' (found in Applications
--> Utilities) and dug through the install error logs. Pinned
the issue down to AIR trying to update / use files that were
    already in use.
    3. Restarted the computer under the primary admin account
(the account used to setup the computer) and installed successfully
    from there.

    Hi Leah_teamhealth,

  • The Windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive

I am trying to use bootcamp assistant to set up windows 7 on my 27" iMac (late 2013). I follow the instructions: select all the tasks in the 'select tasks' pane, then I choose the 32GB MS-DOS (FAT-32) flash drive that I am using and the windows 7 home premium image file and click continue. In the Task Status pane, it first formats the flash drive, copies the windows files and downloads windows support software. However every time that I have tried this, when the progress bar is about 2/3 of the way finished -- during the 'Downloading Windows Support Software' task -- an error pops up saying that 'The Windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive' and brings me back to the task selection pane. Upon reading other articles, I have downloaded the latest bootcamp5.1.5621.zip file, but I don't know what to do with it. Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Adam

Just posting this for anyone else having this problem. I found that the problem was that I was using a USB 3.0 flash drive which is not natively supported by windows. So I think BCA was trying to prevent me from downloading all the files for no reason.

  • Adobe Flash will not install on Windows 7 x64

    Hello,
I find myself in a bit of a pickle, which I have neither definitive answer nor logic to why this is happening. Whenever I install Adobe Flash I get an error message in a popup window as described below.
    Host
    Unable to load application configuration
First of all I thought…? This can happen if the processor clock is out on the motherboard. I rebooted and checked the time and date stamp in the BIOS and it’s correct. Everything else works fine; it’s just Adobe Flash that is causing the problem. I am running Windows 7 x64 and selected Windows 7 x64 when I installed Flash. Shockwave, Air and all other Adobe applications were fine… it’s just Adobe Flash that is causing the problem. Any Answers would be appreciated; I’m left scratching my head with dismay because I cannot for the life of me know what is causing this error message.
It’s the same for MSIE9 as well it will not install and comes up with the same error message.
    Thanks
    [RESOLVED]
I took a second look at the BIOS and didn’t spot this the first time I looked. The time was correct, but out by 20 seconds which was the reason why updates and installations were in disarray. I never would have thought 20 seconds would have made much of a difference. But it does and I corrected the time to the precise seconds to pinpoint accuracy, saved the BIOS and loaded the OS and tried again and it worked first time.
So the moral of this topic is, if you’re getting a message in a window which says the following…
    Host
    Unable to load application configuration
Check the clock on your BIOS first, if the seconds are out but the time is correct, this the likelihood of the problem is being caused by the BIOS clock.

What is the exact error you are getting?
Have you tried to run the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#Ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment ?
If that still causes you an error please post your Windows version & edition.
P.S. if your Windows user account has administrative permissions, then you don't need to go into the BIOS to correct your clock; you can do it from withing Windows, either manually, or using Atomic Clock Sync.

  • Adobe Reader will not save or show the Save dialog

Hello, we use adobe reader a lot where I work, mostly with filling out pre-made "Form" type PDF's and saving them in customer folders on the server, as of last friday my adobe reader will not allow me to save pdf's, I have attempted to edit and save, edit and save-as, I tried simply saving as without making any edits. I also tried to open a PDF online (specifically http://www.ncu.edu.tw/~ncu25352/Uploads/201312311030531151830864.pdf ), tested that PDF on another PC and it would allow me to save it.
I uninstalled Adobe reader 11 and reinstalled from the website ( get.adobe.com/reader ), I then uninstalled anything on the pc that relates to PDF's that I could find (which was just reader and a dictionary add-in for reader 9) and attempted to reinstall without any change in the problem.
To recap, PDF's will not save, and when I click save-as no save dialog pops up, I cannot save via the IE add-in either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated by both my boss and myself!

You mention IE, so I assume that you are on Windows.
How are you trying to save that PDF, using the IE menu bar File Save as, or the floating toolbar in the Adobe Reader plugin?

  • Installing Programs Without The Disk Drive Icon Loading On Desktop

    Hey,
I am super anal and don't like any icons on my desktop and I am wondering how, when installing programs, you can install them without the disk drive icon being left on the desktop?
    Thanks.

Oh, right, sorry, one thing I didn't mention. I DO like to have CDs and DVDs and such show up on the desktop when I (seldomly) have them in my computer.
So, is there any other way? If I uncheck the CDs and DVDs line then this solves the disk drive icon but also gets rid of my CD icons.

  • I was using Lightroom v5.6 when a notice came up to update to v5.7.  I did the down load but must have gotten a bad down load because it will not install.   And the old 5.6 on my desktop will not work.   So no 5.6 or 5.7 . any ideas  how to get something

I was using Lightroom v5.6 when a notice came up to update to v5.7. So I did the download but it would not work or install.  And the 5.6 version will not work now either.   So I am screwed - no 5.6 or 5.7 and no access to Adobe Tech.   Any help will be appreciated.

My iPod is a click wheel...I think that's fifth generation?
I've always used my firewire cable to update my iPod. I've tried using USB in the past but for some reason it always says that my iPod has low battery and won't let me update it, so I just use firewire. Can I not use firewire with itunes 7?
I'll try using the USB again. It's laying around here somewhere. Just gotta find it.

  • BBC iplayer says Adobe Air needs updating: Adobe Air will not install, but says I have a later version already on my PC!

Use Firefox. Have BBC iPlayer which will not load, saying I need a newer version of Adobe Air: when trying to instal Adobe Air, get message saying I already have a more recent version. It worked when I was using IE, but not since changing to Firefox.

    Hi there,
stumbled on this conversation after having problems myself.
After lots of trial and error, I was finally able to install iPlayer on my MacBook Pro.
Firstly remove Adobe Air (Applications, Utilities, Adobe Air Uninstaller).
Reboot (not sure if it is needed but it is what I did).
Download Adobe Air 2.5 from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/853/cpsid_85304.html
Then retry installing iPlayer from the BBC webpage. I ignored the prompt from Adobe Air to upgrade to the latest version (3.1).
