Adobe Cloud Update stuck at 99%

My Adobe Cloud update for After Effects CC 2014 has been stuck at 99% for about 20 minutes. I have a job I need to get out right away. Anyone have any ideas? Would really appreciate any help... thank you!

  • Owning CS 6 Premium without Adobe Cloud - updates still free?

I just had a phone conversation with Adobe customer support regarding this sentence on the Adobe Cloud mailer…
"Best of all, members get immediate access to all updates and new features at no additional cost."
That sounded to me as if, as an non Cloud member owner of CS6 Premium (which I could upgrade to right now at a cost not much higher than a year of Cloud), I would not be able to get updates to CS6 Premium without paying for them. The customer service representative assured me that was not the case. All updates, enhancements and fixes to CS6 Premium would continue to be provided to all users of the product free of charge, whether they were Cloud subscribers or not.
So, I would like that confirmed. And, if so, I would suggest the promotional statement be changed.
    Thank you for your attention.

Ohhhh -- small extra features. Oh well, thanks for confirming. I'm good with that. If I could ask one more Question, please.
Is it possible to "Upgrade" from CS5.5 Premium to CS6 Standard and Upgrade Dreamweaver Separately? I maintain my own modest website with Dreamweaver -- it was created in PageMill!!. I have not and probably never will become anything near proficient in Flash or Fireworks. Nor do I really need the extended features in Photoshop. Doing the Upgrade that way would still be a savings over upgrading the 5 programs (AI, ID, PS, Acrobat, DW)  separatly.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Adobe Reader update stuck on my iPad

Could you tell me how to fix a problem with the adobe reader app on my iPad? It seems to have got stuck in update mode and is constantly showing the waiting text under the app and won't open. I can open the reader if I go to my purchased apps and use the open button. I've tried shutting my iPad down completely and switching back on but nothing works. Can you anyone advise please?

Thank you Steve for your suggestion. I will certainly keep it in mind. Fortunately between my post on the forum and now, it seems to have righted itself after two days of being stuck.

We don't know what Apple plans on doing to change this (and it may not be just Apple but more likely the publishers, since Apple would, of course, do whatever it could to maximize sales/profits).  Right now you can only read Apple books on mobile devices. Sure, buy them from Amazon if you want to read them on the computer. We don't work for Apple so we're pretty impartial on this kind of advice.
You might also see what your library can offer.  My wife can browse the county library from her iPhone, borrow e-versions, and read books on it too.  Free!

  • I want to update to LION,on my Macbook Pro duo core, (october 2006) because Adobe CC needs at least that. I know my computer is old, but works perfect to me and I do not want to stay in Adobe CS6 since I have access to Adobe Cloud CC. Please help.

I probably dont want to go to Mountain Lion either because I've heard that it will slow down my computer, So, Lion 10.7 will be the perfect OS X for me.
I have ne newest release of Snow Leopard installed and works great.
Thank you ALL for your help.

you will be ok updating to the new software but there will be some trade off. i have 3 macbooks 2006 that are all running the latest versions.
some of the trade off are
    1-2 less of battery life
    slow wake ups from sleep
slower start up time about 30-40 seconds longer then what you have now
the operating system will use high % of your processer while idealing
these are not the things you want to hear about a new os compared to the old one but this is how it is even with a new macbook pro. but it's not the end of the world. just make sure you have at least more then 2GB of ram and have a good harddrive and you will be ok.

  • Why does everyone at my work loose their internet connection when I update Adobe Cloud Products?

Why does everyone at my work loose their internet connection when I update Adobe Cloud Products? We are on a 20mb broadband connection and there is around 20 people using computers at my work but when I start my Adobe Cloud Product update or when I try and download my Adobe Cloud Product everyone at my work looses their internet connection and so do I. But the update keeps downloading and installing.

I am sorry FooWingLi but the difficulties you are describing sounds more like a local network configuration issue.  I would recommend working with your I.T. department to investigate this matter.

I have followed the other discussions and done the suggested updates or deletes and to no avail.
Unless you tell us exactly what you have tried, we have no way of knowing exactly which updates or deletes? aren't working for you.
Try installing the combo >  Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed, try the App Store.

  • Error trying to install update to Adobe Cloud desktop on OS X Lion

I keep getting an error when installing a recent update to the Adobe Cloud desktop - A21 something or other.  I tried renaming a file and trying again, but that didn't work either.  I'm not that comfortable troubleshooting my Mac as I've only recently migrated from Windows to using Mac.  Please help.  If I don't quit the Adobe Cloud thing on start-up, it eats up battery power due to this update not being able to install.  I have a single-app subscription to Photoshop CS7, which stops working when that file is renamed.

The error is Error Code: A12E1.
I tried the fix of renaming the file, restarting the computer and trying
again.  That didn't work.  My operating system is  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

  • Adobe Updater icon no longer in menu bar after latest Cloud updates ...

... or maybe it's actually the Adobe Applications Manager, I don't know.
How do I get it back?

Thanks for your response. It could be that there isn't a problem.
But since I bought the Creative Cloud, there has always been a small red icon in the menu bar (along with the Apple icons for WiFi, BlueTooth, etc.) for the Adobe Application Manager. I could launch the Application Manager right from there if I wanted to check for updates, but the chief value was that the Application Manager was always on the lookout for any Cloud updates. When there was an update, there would be a number displayed right on the icon that essentially said that there was one (or two or three) updates available. When you see the number, you run the updater.
But recently, that icon in the menu bar has vanished and I don't know if Adobe Application Manager is still actively looking for updates.
I can still launch the Adobe Application Manager from the Apps folder or from the dock and the AAM shows a list of Cloud apps and indicates whether they are installed or not. But no mention about updates.
Yes, I can check for updates from any Cloud App and that launches AAM which reports that there are no new updates. And I can click on Preferences and check the box that says "Notify me of new updates in the menu bar." So maybe the icon will appear in the menu bar if there is an update?
A minor issue, I know, but that little icon used to be in the menu bar all the time ... and seemed to be looking for updates.
    Thanks,
    Brad

  • My adobe cloud will not update on my iMac.

My adobe cloud will not update on my iMac. Anyone have advice? I need it to work as soon as possible to make a deadline.

Long titles seem to be happening a lot since the last forum software update so it's not just you!
There is no Lightroom CC. You get the latest version (currently 5.4) with Creative Cloud, and so the CC app is correct in stating that your LR is up to date. Unlike Photoshop and most of the other Creative Cloud applications, Lightroom is not branded as "CC" because it's also available separately as a stand-alone perpetual licence product. When 5.5 (or 6.0 - or even a CC-only version) are released in the future, the CC app should prompt you to update and so in the meantime you're good to go.
