  • Generate Report Troubles with Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer

I'm new to Captivate 5 and am trying to utilize the Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer.
I've enabled report for my project to Acrobat.com and configured as instructed in the online help.  The Post Result button appears on the Summary page and appears to work for the two colleagues taking the quiz.  But when I click the Generate Report button in Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer, I get the message "Data is not present on local file system, downloading course data," but nothing occurs - no course data appears from the colleagues who are helping me test the quiz.
I'm able to sign in to the Quiz Results Analyzer and it does display the organization, department and course name, but no course data (see image below).
What am I doing incorrectly that keeps this from generating a course report?
Any help will be deeply appreciated.

    Vish,
Your solution worked at first.  I went in, took the course, and then went into Analyzer and was able to Generate Report and look at my stats.  However, I had a colleague take the course.  She did and posted the results and received a "successful" posting message.  Then, I went back into Analyzer and clicked the Generate Report button to see how the system worked when there was new learner data.  A "Checking for new data" played for a half hour before I finally gave up.
I know that you were able to reproduce this issue where in clicking the Generate Report a second time brings up the loading animation that stays forever and that you were investigating the issue, but I thought I should post here just in case anyone else has a solution.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

  • Identifying Questions in Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyser

    Hi All,
We have seen people requesting for identifying the Question from with in Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyser. In what way do you think Question needs to be reperesented within Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyser?
Will it useful if we show the actual thumbnail of the question itself?
Or just showing the Question text will suffice?
    Thanks,
    Vikram

Maybe you'd be better off turning off the shuffling of answers (given that it fouls up the reliability of the variable representing what you want) and use Question Pools instead.
This would allow you to get some randomisation of the questions (which is what the answer shuffling is sort of trying to accomplish) but you'd be tracking actual questions.  You could have a number of variations of the same question in the pool.
Does that get you any closer to your goal?

  • Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer not generating results

I am using Acrobat.com to track my quiz results. I currently have 26 modules, however 5 of them will not show results in the Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer. I have tried the quizzes myself and posted the results, however it is still not showing results for the 5 courses. Any suggestions as to why 5 of the courses aren't generating?

  • Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer - Error in Results

    Dear Sir
I  don't understand why I got the results below. All questions were reflected as 'Total Skipped' when all was answered.
Your inputs would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks & regards...

So I figured out I made a stuipd mistake and mixed up acrobat.com and adobe.com. I kept trying to connect to Adobe.com, NOT acrobat.com.
Once I connect to Acrobat.com (and made an ID) it worked.
I now can connect to Acrobat.com.
However, I still am unable to see my results.
If I try to do a quiz from my local machine I am prompted with the "Post Results" button at the end.  When I go to production I do not want to have this button, I would rather have the quiz automatically posted.  For now, this will work for the testing phase I have working on.
When I run my quiz in IE, IE hangs when I press Post Results and put my name and password in.  It never completes.  I have to kill the process.
When I run the quiz from File > Preview > In Web Browser (or F12) it seems to work.  I get prompted with my ID I put my info in and it says it has been posted, but I never see any results.  This is similar to another post I saw here...
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/766837?tstart=0
Then I saw another post that said you need to modify the flash settings on the machine where you are posting.  You can do this via a URL link...
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l
When I went to this link the first time I only specified the actually acrobat.com.  This didn't seem to help.  But them I specified the actually .swf file.  This made things appear to work.  I *was* able to press post, put login info in and then submit the info.  This worked without having the do the preview from within Captivate.  But I still do not have any data within the Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer.
If I do get some results somehow, I would still like to make the quiz such that the username and password are not prompted at the end and that the results are sent to acrobat.com automatically.

  • Error when posting captivate quiz results

I would like to posting Captivate quiz results to Acrobat.com. I created an account, but when I click Post Results and log in, I get a 'Send' button option. When I select 'Send', the message 'Unknown Error' appears and the results do not get posted.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

I am also still having the same problem, so it looks like this still hasn't been fixed.
Posting results worked fine but lately everyone is getting the unknown error which is embarrassing when you are pushing directors to complete this only to be told it isn't working and wasted their time.
    Sort it out Adobe!

  • Job Posting: Captivate Quiz Results

I need someone to program the capturing and querying of Adobe
    Captivate quiz results. Any takers?

    Hi hpelican,
I'm not aware of any issues on Acrobat.com that would prevent you from saving your Captivate quiz results. But, I found this thread on the Captivate forum. Please give that a try and let me know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Can I reconfigure Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer (ACQRA) ?

    Hello,
I working on capturing all the Quiz results onto a MySQL Database using WAMP. No problem getting the data into the Database using the internalserverreporting.php after some modifications.
Still having some trouble reverse engineering  the interserverread.php. While experimenting with some modifications, I received some help on how to clear the application of past Quiz data so that I can see what happens with my changes. Now I realized that the Application is programmed to expect XML files and store the results in a special location.
    QUESTION 1:
Can I reconfigure the Application to stop looking for XML files and configure it to point to my database?
    QUESTION 2:
Can I get my hands on the code that was used to create ACQRA for my standalone application?

  • Adobe Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer - Use agreement error

I've been using the Quiz Results Analyzer for a few months, but yesterday I encountered the folowing error message when I tried to log on:
"User has not accepted terms of use agreement."
I understand the intent of the message, but I don't understand how I could have installed/updated Captivate without accepting the terms of use.
I've tried reinstalling the Quiz Results Analyzer, resetting my support password, and updating all my Adobe programs, but the error continues.
If anybody has any ideas I'd love to hear them because my courses are useless if I can't see my learners' quiz results anymore!

Sachin at the Adobe Captivate Support desk solved this problem for me. I just had to log on to the Acrobat site (not Adobe!) and accept the terms and conditions agreement. Thanks Sachin!

  • Captivate quiz results as text file

Is there a way to collect a users quiz results and simply write them to a text file on their hard drive?

Mike.  This functionality doesn't currently exist in Captivate out of the box.
If you want it, you can try logging a feature request with Adobe.
    Here's the official Adobe site:

Here's the unofficial one we set up ourselves:

  • Adobe Presenter 9 quiz results reporting to LMS

We have over 50 users of AP9, and currently use a Success Factors LMS. Our AP9 quiz results are currently reporting only the cut/mastery score to the LMS student transcript, not the actual score the student gets. Any ideas? I've read all the help and tutorial material and it does not address the actual score reporting anywhere. What are the correct quiz and Reporting options settings to get actual scores reported for a final quiz? We SCORM wrap v1.2. Our LMS suppport says it is pulling what AP9 sends- which is the cut score. When we test as a learner, we can get 100% but if the mastery score is set at 80% we see as a learner we acheived 100% but only 80% score goes to our transcript. Does AP 10 function differently in this aspect than AP 9?
    Thanks, Elizabeth

  • Adobe Captivate Quiz Results - Grading

    Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with the quiz feature of captivate.
I have created a quiz with a dozen questions, there is also a results slide which works fine.
What i need is the user to be given a grade based on these results.
Eg. If you got between 80-100% - You get an A
    Between 70-80% - You get a B
    and so on...
This info is then going to be taken and put in a certificate widget so the user can print their results and their grade.
Anyone have an idea how I can take their final score and give them a grade?
Do you use if statements or is there something easier?
    Any help would be great!
    Thank-you in advance.

    Hi markrisp,
You can display the grade on the result slide after writing a small program in "Actions Dialog". You can try the Following procedure.
On the Result slide Add 2 Captions - Grade A, Grade B ( Snap attached). In each of these captions navigate to the "Options" tab and uncheck the "Visible" option.
Now select Project> Actions>Variables tab, Add 3 variables ( a,b, c with initial value =  0). (Number of variables to be equal to number of grades)
In Advanced action tab specify a name for the script and use the following logic.
If ( cpInfoPercentage greater or equal to 80)
    begin
show TextCaption ID (for Grade A Text Caption)
    end
    or Else
    begin
    a := 1
    end
Check If ( a is equal to 1) and ( cpInfoPercentage greater or equal to 70) and ( CpInfoPercentage is less than 80)
    Begin
show Text Caption ID (for Grade B Text Caption)
    end
    or Else
    begin
    b: = 1
    end
Check if ( b is equal to 1) and ( cpInfoPercentage is less than 70)
    begin
show TextCaption ID ( for Grade C Text Caption)
    end
    Or Else
    begin
c := 0                      // This expression is redundant, but still it has to be included as Else cant be kept empty
    end
Does this help, Let me know
    Thanks
    Ashwin

  • Is there a method of reporting Adobe Captivate quiz results to a Google form or spread sheet?

I found a widget for this but it has been discontinued. The guide published by Rod Ward lists this capability as "Don't even bother". What is that about?

What do you mean by '...at the end'?
Question Question Slides in Captivate - Captivate blog
Question Question Slides - Part 2 - Captivate blog
Through twitter I learned that you use CP6 and that you want that message on each question slides during ReviewMode.
In CP6 system variable cpInReviewMode is not yet there. Create a user variable v_review, with a default value of 0. You'll have to toggle it to 1 when in Review Mode. That can be done using the system variable cpQuizInfoAttempts. When comparing its value to the total number of attempts, you know if you'll be getting in Review mode when getting back at the Score slide:
use the On Enter event of the score slide
create this conditional action:IF cpQuizInfoAttempts is equal to n       (where n is the number of attempts you allow in the Quiz Preferences on Quiz Level)
       Assign v_review with 1
Create the text caption or shape with text for each slide and make that text container invisible in output (Properties panel). I will label the text container: Tx_quest1, Tx_quest2.....
Use the On Enter event of each Question slide to trigger this conditional action
IF v_review is equal to 1
        Show Tx_quest1
