Adobe Content Viewer - Potential major bug

I saw that the new Adobe Content Viewer was just approved by Apple, and updated the app on my iPad 3. When I opened the app and downloaded a folio (folio made using r23), none of my Vector MSO's showed up as vector, they're all still raster. I repeated the process on another iPad 3 and had the same results. It seems like the r24 Content Viewer won't show vector MSO's. Anyone else having the same problem?

Here are three screenshots. 1 - normal viewing, 2 - first zoom, then I zoomed out, then 3 - second zoom

  • Can't log in Adobe Content Viewer on iPad only

    Hello,
We made a folio and shared it with a client via digitalpublishing.acrobat.com.
The client created an Adobe ID, received an email from adobe and clicked on the link to check the validity of the email address.
He accepted the conditions on the Adobe site.
On an iPad, he can't connect to the Adobe Content Viewer.
But... it works very well on an Android tablet.
I asked the client to go to digitalpublishing.acrobat.com and accept the conditions, but it still does not work.
How can I solve this problem?
Adobe Content Viewer serves as our showcase for potential new customers that we are capable of doing. If I can't show it... I can't get new customers.
    TIA.

I asked my client to create an account here: <https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/CreateAccount.html>

  • Can't see my 1920x1080 folio in my iPad library in adobe content viewer

I would like to make a single .folio to view on iOS and Android.  I'm making it 1920x1080, but when it's been published it only shows up in andoid version of adobe content viewer, not on the ipad. is this a bug or expected behavior?

That's expected behavior. Only folios with a 4:3 aspect ratio (such as 1024x768) appear on iPad viewers. Android viewers display any folio aspect ratio.
(Tomek types faster than I do.)

  • Problem in Adobe Content Viewer

I have a Enterprise account and a custom Adobe Content Viewer, that's supposed to read a book with interactive objects made in HTML5. However, this reader isn't reading some script that is making the interactive objects impossible to open, and, when it opens, opens with bugs. Considering that the interactive objects opens in all browsers with no problems, I would like to know if there's anyway we can make the interactive objects open directly in the browsers, from the Adobe Content Viewer.
This problem just happens when I open it in PC from a external media.
Please, I need to solve this as soon as I can.

Have you tried logging into http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/ with the same account and accepting the terms and conditions there?

  • Interactive elements and even article zoom sometimes freezes on first page in Adobe Content Viewer r31.

Interactive elements and even article zoom sometimes freezes on first page of articles in Adobe Content Viewer release 31 (tested on iPad 3 and iPad Air). If user swipe to second page and return back to first page, all elements works normal again.
Interactive elements are mostly buttons for changing states of multi-state objects, or buttons for opening URL in build-in browser.
What could be the reason? Is there some bug in ACV r31? Or it alocates more memory for the application, so there is less memory left for the content? It wasn't happen before in r30.

hello, me the same thing is happening. I made a folio and he usually worked before the last update of content viewer. the multi-state buttons also freeze and take to work. This bug will be fixed in the next update?

That is something I really would like to see. It would be great to be able to create custom viewer builders also as free member.
Another thing (this should only be for Pro/Enterprise) would be the ability to change the name and icons of the custom content viewer.

  • Adobe Content Viewer v22 for Android - folio update issue

Yesterday I updated our Xoom to Android 4.1.1 and updated the Adobe Content Viewer to v22.  Both we and a client have had issues with not seeing the "Update Available" message for folios that are been updated.  The "Updating Library..." message flashes briefly at the top of the viewer in library mode, however nothing changes.  It's only after killing the app and restarting that it takes its time while checking the library for updates and finds them.  Has anyone else had this issue?  The iPad rendition of the same folio has been showing update messages in the usual, almost instantaneous, way.
Has anyone else had difficulty with updating folios in the Android v22 Adobe Content Viewer?  In the past couple of versions I've noticed some strangeness with the Sign In/ Sign Out part of the library where it seems like the text tells you you're signed in, but sometimes you have to sign out and sign back in to get updates.  Sometimes you could go back to the home screen and then go back into the app and it would trigger a check for updates as well, however that trick doesn't seem to be working anymore.
    Andrew

Thank you for the reply Himanshu.  Evidently the problem is much worse than I thought because previously created apps don't even open anymore!
None of the apps we have published to the Android app store are getting past the splash screen.  The library flashes briefly on some of them before the app crashes.  The error message it gives is "Unfortunately, ____ has stopped."  This is a big problem!!  Will updating the apps to v22 solve this issue?  When will Adobe have this major problem fixed?
I'm flashing back to June of last year when reliability of basic functionality (like apps opening and folios being downloadable/viewable) was still unpredictable.  You Adobe guys and gals have got to figure out how to make the DPS system dependable.  I understand this is an operating system conflict, but surely you knew this update was coming and could test how well your software would hold up to the changes.  This isn't a barely used minor feature that isn't working, this is something that makes users uninstall the app and lessens their opinion of the company that released it.  Please make this your top priority and get it fixed today.  We and our customers are paying for a much higher level of service than this.
