Adobe Contribute Adding Paragraph P Breaks

Adobe Contribute, upon selecting a page to edit, is randomly adding paragraph breaks between paragraphs within the editable region as well as outside of the editable region, every time a page is edited. The first is just annoying but can be removed by the contribute user, the later is affecting the aesthetics of the site and cannot be removed by the contribute user (my client). Any idea what is causing this issue and how to stop it? It's adding this code exactly: <p style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;"> </p>

In the user role go to Editing>Paragraph spacing and select "Two lines, as in web page editors..." and see if that helps.

  • Adobe Contribute CS3 Connection Error

I am trying to use Adobe Contribute CS3 Version 3.1 to connect our web server.  I can use WS_FTP and WinSCP to connect to it fine.  Our web server is running under CentOS 5.x.  When I try to connect using the connection wizard in Contribute, I receving the following error:
Contribute cannot verify your connection information.
    /tmp
Please  contact your administrator for assistance.
I have tried both FTP and SFTP.  Again, I can login, navigate to /tmp and upload, download, and delete files fine using WinSCP.  Can someone let me know what Contribute is trying to do to verify the connection?  Is there a log file?  Any help is appreciated.

When I first tried to connect to our web server, I received a similar error.  What worked for me was getting rid of the folder designation when trying to connect in Contribute (in your case /tmp) and allowing users to have permissions to access all folders on the web server.  I create Contribute roles to limit the users to specific folders.
    I hope that helps.

  • Java, Adobe Acrobat, HP Web Printing, Adobe Contribute, all of which people use world round no longer compatible with Firefox? Maybe it's time to go back to IE.

Firefox used to be the best, now its working against every piece of software i use in the publishing industry. Java is important, so is Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe contribute.
Maybe it is time to kick Firefox to the curb. Firefox is not getting better, it's getting worse. It freezes, it crashes, it's no longer compatible with major programs in the publishing industry.
AND, you guys never answer any of your users. I'm tired of Firefox freezing up. read your freaking forums. Your not making the internet better, I used to have such faith you.

    Thanks Mike!
I'm just so frustrated, its bad enough my other laptop wasn't even 2 yrs old
yet and I've spent $800 to have it fixed twice already, this 3rd time I was
DONE... so I moved onto Sony, but this Vista just is making my life a living
hell, I just spent a fortune on the laptop, and now I have to buy Adobe 9
when my adobe 7 isn't even 2 yrs old... ugh... its just very frustrating and
nerve racking and is costing more than I make in a week in this business
(real estate processing)... I should sell Microsoft for a living, I'd be a
    millionaire!
My husband's Mac has been through hell and back physically, is 5 yrs old and
we've never had to take it in for any upgrades or issues, its SO easy to
use... why can't Microsoft be the same?!?!
Thanks for your input and for being understanding of my frustration, I bet
    you see those often! LOL

  • Save a pdf file without Adobe automatically adding "-Copy" to the end

How can I save a pdf file without Adobe automatically adding "-Copy" to the end of file name?

If you have actually made any changes (e.g. adding a Sticky Note or filling out forms), the Save button will appear in the bottom toolbar.  It will save it as the same name.
"- Copy" is added only when you tap/click the Save As button.  You can change it to something else, if you'd like.

  • Making a Template for Adobe Contribute - without Dreamweaver

Given  the task of making a web page that must exhibit regions editable with  Adobe Contribute CS5, and having only a plain text editor (not  Dreamweaver), exactly what needs to be done to the associated XHTML  file?  For example:
    1.  Does the XHTML file need to be named with an extension other than ".html"?
    2.   When denoting an editable region within the XHTML, what is the exact  syntax of the "begin editable" and "end editable" tags?
    3.   Is a CSS file referenced within the XHTML in the typical fashion, or  must something special be done to reference a CSS file?
Are there other changes that need to be made to an XHTML file in order for it to work properly with Adobe Cintribute CS5?
Thank you in advance for your helpful responses.
*** Please note that this question was posted earlier; perhaps errantly, in the Contribute forum.

The 'child' page can be named with any extension.

It's all just HTML - and needs to work properly on the server.  Nothing special needs to be done.

    No.
I assume your client IS using Contribute.
But - a word of skepticism.  This sounds like a project bound to fail.  I know templates like the back of my hand (liver spots and all) and would hesitate to take it on....

  • Contribute Adding Code, somehow

I developed a site for a client that uses Adobe Contribute to update their site:
I created a Dreamweaver template and created editable regions.
    The issue is:
When the client updates pages in Adobe Contribute, somehow the below .html code gets inserted outside of the editable regions and disrupts the page layout-
    <p style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;"> </p>
No where in my Dreamweaver template is the code:
    <p style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;"> </p>
This code only shows up after the client has edited a page and puts it up to the server.
Any suggestions on what might be causing this?
    Thanks!

and if you want to look at the source code at this page:
    http://ngprs.com/history.html
You will see the below code that was auto inserting when my client updated
    the page in Contribute... Thanks!

  • Adobe contribute cs5 wurde unerwartet beendet - Mac Yosemite Version 10.10.2 (14C1514)

    Hallo
    Vielen Dank!

The latest version of Adobe Contribute isn't compatible with the latest Mac OS so an older version wouldn't be either.

  • Using Windows Media Player in Adobe Contribute 4

I have a website I am working on at
    www.earntravelvacations.com/businesspresentation.html
I uploaded a video in adobe contribute 4. The problem I have
is...I do not want to video to automatically play when visiting the
webpage but I don't like seeing a bit black screen either. Is there
a way to get the first slide (or image) to show in the windows
media player when it is not playing.
    Thanks for your insight!

Try this. It loads the media player. hit play movie then select which movie you want to play. this loads the movie into memory and starts playing then when you hit stop vi it stops the vi and the movie.I do not have any movie files to try this with but I tried this with other media and it worked fine

  • Cannot connect to website with adobe contribute cs5

I am using Adobe Contribute to edt my website and cannot connect and it has been working fine for 2 years. whenerver i try to publish a page is reads "server is not accepting connections" even though I am connected to the internet

    > Can you please tell me how I can delete
    > the old settings as they must be embedded somewhere in
    my system
as a guess- it's the admin settings on the remote site.
Are you the only person using Contribute on that site?
If yes- using some FTP client, connect to the remote server.
Look for a folder named _mm in the root level that contains a
    file named
    contribute.xml
    delete it [or rename it]
now try to create a new connection. {or have the admin make
    new admin
    settings, and then create and send you a connection key}
