Adobe crashing

Is there a way to roll back a newly bought Macbook Pro OSX to Snow Leapard. I am a full time student and now none of my Adobe products work.  They all were working fine on the old system running Leapard and Snow Leapard.  Adobe Products open, and then 1 minute later I get the spinning beach ball, and icon states program is not responding, it stays that way until it shuts down and gives a shut down window.
HELP.  I need to have my Adobe running for class which was the reason why I purchased this laptop.  Help, Help, Help...

Hi mauricioaflores,
Which OS are you using. Refer the article: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/cc-applications-crash-immediately-launch.html.

• Adobe crashes on printing - unless I open the file and wait for 10 seconds

We are having printing issues with Adobe Acrobat X or Xi Standard and or Professional on client PCs running Windows 7 32 Bit OS.
If we open a PDF file and request a printed copy Adobe crashes. If we open the documnet and wait 10 seconds before printing the document it prints perfectly well and Adobe does not crash.
What is causing this problem?  I haved tried to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Pro but this does not fix the problem.
I've tried changing the printer type to direct IP printing but this has not helped.

Running 11.0.09, Im running .08 on another computer which works fine perhaps I should roll back to a previous version?
Have also tried running AcroRd32.exe in difference compatibility modes (W7) to no avail.

• Adobe Crash Daemon taking memory!

Okay- whenever I use Photoshop CS5 an Adobe crash Daemon popus up and starts taking memory. They eventually multiply. And even AFTER i shut photoshop, they are still active, and start taking more memory. Heres an example:

In this picture, I havn't opened Photoshop in a couple hours.

Samething is happening to me... it eats my memory like crazy...

• What is Adobe Crash Daemon?

When checking Activity Monitor while PS CS5 is open, I noticed an application called AdobeCrashDaemon that was running and using almost as much Virtual Memory (2.57GB) as Photoshop itself. Does anyone know what it is and does it really need to be running? Thanks.

I have the same question.  Also, after installing extensions to Dreamweaver and In Design (Using the discs from CS5) I now have 3 daemons,The Adobe Crash Daemon, Microsoft AU Daemon and Mocrosoft Database Daemon that weren't there before.  And an Apple spell.service and although I use my airport, my computer is trying to connect using the telephone modem plus Airpot.  I was connected via what looks like Flash Web browsing to what looks like two pages of iPads and other devices with a list of names.  It was not my intention to do any web browsing at all, but only to install Dreamweaver and update In Design.  I shut down the telephone modem,  disabled the safari "auto fill in" certificate that may have been allowing 'entry' and they appear to be gone...(except for Applespell.service)  I hope to have no further interruption in simple use of In Design and Dreamweaver on my laptop desktop. The good news is that cvmsComp_x86_64(197) has also disappeared for the moment.

Hi Gary,
First, thank you for submitting the crashes. And if you run into this again, on the about:support page you can click "submit crashes [[Firefox crashes - Troubleshoot, prevent and get help fixing crashes]] "
Copying and pasting the crash reports with bp in front of them will allow troubleshooters in the thread to take a look. Or pasting the bp-xxxxx.... in this search [https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/home/products/Firefox] will show you the report. It may also show a bug in the bug section if it is currently being worked on.

• Why is Adobe crashing and giving me "script " error messages?

Why is Adobe crashing and giving me "script" error messages?

Let's see if we can get you the details you need here:
I'm getting the same Action Script pop-up on WinXP Sp3 32-bit and Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit systems, both running Seamonkey 2.10.1 with the Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:13.0) Gecko/20120615 Firefox/13.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.10.1, so this is the same browser as Firefox 13.0.1.
The Action script pop-up has a Dismiss and Continue button and on WinXP clicking Dismiss seems to close the pop-up window and allow the Flash Player to work normally, at least for a while; clicking Continue results in repetitions of the Action Script pop-up - takes some time to come up again so not 100% sure on this behavior.  On Win7, the Action Script pop-up window does not respond to clicking either button, the browser appears to be hung and after a minute or so a message comes up in the Flash player box saying the Flash Player has crashed and to reload the page to retry.
Here are the contents of the Action Script pop-up:
I have experienced this on a couple of different sites, notably the Animated Map at weather.com which I get to through my Yahoo login.  Here's the URL, which may or may not work for you, since I get there through my Yahoo ID login:

I am using Flash Player 11.3.300.262 downloaded from this URL:
http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header
I hope this provides the necessary info to pursue this. Please let me know if you need more.
I tacked this on to this thread since it seems relevant but if you want a fresh thread, please specify.
Thanks.

Thank you for the prompt response, guru Cox.
Deleting the com.adobe.crashreporter.plist file had no effect.  I have never changed files inside any application bundle; however…
…I was able to launch the Adobe Crash Reporter successfully from inside the Bridge CS4 application bundle.  The preferences were already set as desired.  Comparing the two Adobe Crash Reporter app icons, I noticed that the one inside the CS4 app bundle (the one that will not launch) has its Owner set to system, while the one inside the Bridge app bundle that launches successfully has it set to myusername.  Changing that ownership on the non-launching copy of the crash reporter had no effect.  I had Repaired Permissions on the disk a couple  of times today, with no effect.
Now I wonder whether it's more prudent to leave things as they are, inasmuch as (1) I can't even remember the last time Photoshop crashed on me (the last time Bridge crashed was in March) and (2) now I know the preferences are set as desired.
Later today I'll try re-installing Ps 11 without un-installing first, and I'll report back.
Thanks again.

• Plugin CONTAINER keeps crashing, now a specific plugin noted, but sometimes Adobe crashes too... What is the fix for the CONTAINER?

I have had this problem for a few months. I am using version 3.6.12, have always updated when noticed, couldn't find a resolution for the problem and have been waiting to see if the fix came with one of the updates, but it continues. Firefox will just stop working, if a video is playing, the sound still goes on for a while, but I notice the crash if I go to a screen and it fades upon a click with the revolving wheel turning... then note that my Windows Vista system say, FIREFOX NOT RESPONDING. Always trying to resolve the problem, Windows only comes back with the Plugin Container has crashed. I have had problems with the Adobe Flash player crashing too. I was told in a Windows Vista forum that the plugin noted to be for Windows Vista 32 bit was the same and good for Windows Vista 16 bit.... but I tend not to believe this with all the problems I am experiencing here now.

I read a few similar reports, however, referencing specific plugins, and one frequently mentioned in replys was the Adobe plugin. The suggestion there was to downgrade to 3.6.6. I have since done this, I will update if it worked or not. I disabled automatic updates of Firefox due to this problem. I hope to see Firefox notify users of the fixes the next updates will contain. With all due respect to Firefox, if this downgrade works, I will hesitate to update until I know this problem is corrected as it is to severe and troublesome. Thank you.

• Adobe crashing when opening pdfs

I had been using Foxit as my default reader (3.1.4.1125). But a few months ago found that if I sent a file to someone using Adobe then they could open it.
In trying to resolve this problem I downloaded the latest Adobe reader (9.3.0). This now crashes the PC (blue screen, need to power off crash) when opnening some pdfs I receive and some of the old files on my PC.
I have asked 2 IT guys about this and tried several things but cannot get to the bottom of it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try turning off video acceleration in your video driver.

• Adobe crashes to desktop when I try to create a PDF from a Word document.

The PDF does end up getting created, but not before crashing my Adobe to my desktop, or even crashing it to the background so I have to kill Adobe in the task manager in order to get it to start again.  The progress bar used to fill up faster when it was working correctly, but now, the progress bar just slowly fills up under "Reading PDF Document" and then freezes.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 on a Thinkpad T620.
Please help!

It's 9.4.
We are having multiple issues crop up on this system.  Its MS Office and antivirus are both unstable, and a SQL server update has failed, so I am beginning to suspect that this issue may be a symptom of a bigger problem.

• When I use Skype Adobe crashes.

This has been happening for the last few days. I sign into Skype then after about a minute or as soon as someone tries to call me on there Skype does not allow me to neither decline or accept the call and then freezes saying at the top that its not responding. As soon as this happens when I go on to my browser which is Mozilla Firefox it starts to crash aswell on sites like Youtube saying Adobe has crashed and also on Facebook.
I have tried using Google Chrome but this also crashes and so does my MSN.
My Laptop is just over a year old, I have windows 7 home premium 32 bit.
My version of Skype is Skype 5.1 (The newest one)
My Version Of Firefox is version 3.6.13.
I have read online that this problem could be to do with the new toolbar that Skype automatically downloads into your browser allowing phone numbers to be recognised on sites by Skype. Firefox have reported that this is one of the biggest causes of crashes and have put a Soft Block on the toolbar.
I have tried Enabiling this and then disabliling this on both Firefox and Google Chrome but still nothing happens.
I have applied all upgrades that my computer needs including upgrading the intel celeron.
I have upgraded Apple QuickTime.
I have upgraded Adobe.
But nothing changes.
Does anyone have any information on how I can fix this as it is really bugging me and I need Skype to stay in touch with friends from other countries.
Thank you.

Hi, this FF site have a discussion on this and what other users are doing. Skype has been a problem before and now it is about the Toolbar they Install without user knowledge from what I have read. There are posts that show how to Uninstall this Skype Toolbar.
http://blog.mozilla.com/addons/2011/01/20/blocking-the-skype-toolbar-in-firefox/
Hope that helps,
