Adobe Creative Cloud stuck updating

I recently downloaded and purchased Adobe Creative Cloud with Photoshop and Elements. I'm using a macbook air and it was able to download and I installed it. When the app opens it is stuck in a weird state of either updating or booting. I don't know what to do. I've already uninstalled and installed it once and it is the same each time. Any help is appreciated.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud syncing/updating/installing problems

    Hello Forum,
I am experiencing problems with the Adobe Creative Cloud application. It is telling me that 13 Adobe applications that I have deleted from my hard drive using the included uninstall apps are, right now, "Up to Date" on my hard drive. Additionally, when I try to re-install one of these deleted yet "Up to Date" applications (Acrobat Pro XI), I cannot because it's listed as "Up to Date."
Does anyone know why the Cloud app is not updating itself since my uninstalls? Or what is lingering on my system that may be confusing it? If it's the latter, is there a universal uninstall app for all Adobe application files on one's hard drive? I figure if I can do that, I can start over fresh. I already used the Creative Cloud's own uninstall app to delete it and re-install it, though that didn't change the information it's giving me.
Thanks in advance for anyone's help,
    Scott

  • What time does adobe creative cloud auto update

what time does adobe creative cloud auto update

    Hi There,
There is no specific time for the update, whenever there is an update released and your machine is online it will  notify/try to update the app.
Latest version of creative cloud has an option to always keep Creative Cloud up to date.
However, you can disable it to manage it yourself, follow the step mentioned below.
    Launch creative cloud
click on the gear icon to top left corner
    go to preference
check always keep Creative Cloud up to date.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe creative cloud not updating

I have not been asked to update any of my adobe applications by the cloud in months. Why is that?

    Hi Jeff,
I would create a new administrative account and attempt to update from there instead of your current account first.
Here are instructions if you need them
    10.6 - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH6651
    10.7 - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4600
    10.8 - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11468
If you are still facing issues after doing this I think you'll most likely need to reinstall to resolve the issue.
Uninstall all Creative Cloud applications from
Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers
I'd also run the Adobe Cleaner Tool using the Creative Cloud selection just to be thorough
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
And then reinstall and update everything again.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Update Log

May I ask where the update log file can be found after Adobe Creative Cloud completed update for its apps?

    Hi,
To install the latest release of CC 2014 please follow the below steps:
From Photoshop CS6, choose Help>Updates… to launch the Adobe Application Manager. A new version of the Adobe Application Manager will start to download. After it’s downloaded, it will relaunch and the new CC applications will show up when you sign-in. (Note: If the Adobe Application Manager is already open, quit it and relaunch it to get it to self-update)
Note: By default, the Creative Cloud app is a menu item on Mac:
If you want it to show up in the OS X Dock and show up in list of open applications when you Cmd + Tab to switch applications, 1. click on the Creative Cloud icon in the menu, and then 2. choose “Open as Window” from the gear menu:
Note: Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app is supported on Mac OS X 10.7 or later, and Windows 7 or later. If you’re downloading an App on an older operating system, Adobe Application Manager is used to download and install your app.

  • Creative Cloud 2014 update downloader page?

So, I had a few errors with the Creative Cloud updating apps. First was with Media Encoder 2014 and that was repaired from tech support giving me a link to the Media Encoder 2014 update download page.
Then I had an error with Speedgrade 2014 being updated by Creative Cloud app and through all the tech support it ended by me being told that the Speedgrade 2014 update was not ready yet.
The Media Encoder 2014 update downloader page worked good, so I searched for Speedgrade 2014 update download page but can not find a link. Tech support can not find a link either as they continually give me the same old link that I keep seeing for Speedgrade released 4/1/2014.
I would like to be able to manually download the update from my laptop computer and then take the zip file to my home computer (with the Adobe apps) and un-zip and install on that computer.
I do not want to continually tear down my machine, rebuild it at a compatible internet connection and launch the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Is anyone aware of the proper way to find the Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 update downloader page for us off-line installers?

and yes, that is the correct link. I did three updates; Speedgrade 2014, Photoshop 2014 and After Effects 2014 - all manually. I downloaded the zip file to my laptop and transferred to my desktop computer with the Adobe subscription, unzipped, and installed updates. That method works for me.

  • Updating Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise

I recieved 2 Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise licenses to fulfill my insurance on Adobe Premiere. I see how to use the packager to deploy applications to end users, but the update option in the help menu is greyed out. Does anyone know the best way to update CC enterprise apps?
As this is only two licenses I do not need to learn the details of CC deployment, I just want the programs to work like the old versions, or like the "regular" CC versions.

  • OSX: Adobe Creative Cloud unable to update (stall at 50%)

    Hey experts,
ever since signing up for Creative Cloud I have been unable to update any application as my regular user on OSX. After exchanging 23 emails with the Adobe support in 2013 I finally gave up and created a workaround in the hope that the Adobe developers would finally look into the issue and fix the bug. With the last update of Creative Cloud my workaround stopped working so I took time to do a complete reinstallation of Creative Cloud to see if the bug was finally fixed. It was not.
    The bug:
-Installation of Creative Cloud and Photoshop, Lightroom etc. through the Creative Cloud app works.
-Any try to update a CC applicaton (e. g. Photoshop CC 2014 results in the state "waiting" at 50%):
-Trying to update through the menu of Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 "Aktualisierungen"
resulted in the following error message:
Translation: "Update failed. Unable to apply updates. Adobe Application manager is already running. Close all instances of Adobe Application Manager before applying updates. etc."
What I tried to resolve the problem:
    What did not work:
    -Complete reinstallation of Creative Cloud:
         -Uninstall of all Adobe applications
-Ran the Adobe CC Cleaner tool
-Eliminated every single *[Aa]dobe*-folder on my disk including my profile.
         -Reboot
-Re-installation using a fresh CC download.
-The common 1st-level-support acts of desperation:
         -Rebooting
         -Checking the file system
         -Fixing permissions
-The bug even survived 2 OSX system upgrades
-Even tried to track down the bug myself which I gave up after having discovered the endless chain of Creative Cloud and AAM-Processes executing each other...
    What worked:
-Installing updates as another OSX user. (Which is cumbersome and to be honest I am unwilling to create a new profile and redoing the settings of all installed (especially non-Adobe) applications because of an Adobe bug...)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Premiere Pro is not interpreting transparency correctly with the Adobe Creative Cloud 1.8.0.447 update

Yesterday, I updated to Adobe Creative Cloud 1.8.0.447. I found that after the update, both Premiere Pro CC (2014) and Premiere Pro CC are not ready transparency layers and alpha layers correctly. I have some lower third logos that I use on multiple projects and they are showing up more opaque than they should. Additionally, I have an export preset that uses a watermark. This watermark is showing up more opaque than it should too. I have checked both graphics in After Effects with the new Creative Cloud update and all graphics look fine. It seems to be an issue that is isolated in Premiere. The issue only happens when there is a video layer underneath the graphics. When the graphics are viewed with no video layer underneath, the transparency looks as it should. I have attached a few images showing the problems. They show graphics with and without video layers beneath.

I was able to resolve the issue by going into File>Project Settings>General and changing the Render from GPU Acceleration (OpenCL) to Software Only. It appears there is an issue with the AMD FirePro D500 graphics card. I was told by a call tech at Adobe that there are issues with the D300, D500, and D700 Graphics cards. However, I have an Intel Iris graphics card on my MacBook Pro and was having the same transparency issue. So, I'm skeptical that the issue is just with the graphics card. The transparency issue did not start on BOTH computers until the latest CC upgrade. For now, the Software Only renderer option fixes the issue. I hope to see a fix in the next CC update. FYI: The Renderer needs to be changed to Software Only in both Premiere Pro Project Settings and Media Encoder Preferences.

    Hi
I have discovered that my question above is a non-question. A user triggered by looking at the below article about Illustrator 2014 cc 17.0.2
    http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/release-note/illustrator-17-0-2-release-notes.html
He had recently upgraded from wht we now know is 18.0 to 18.1 which is the latest version. He read the above artic
le and supposed that it was a bug fix release for his version - because the v17 ov18 number is not often displayed. It is usually just 2014 CC.
I have asked him to post a bug report about Adobe Illustrator CC 2014.1

  • Downloading the Adobe Creative Cloud app opens Adobe Product Manager but never updates it

I've tried seveal times to download the Adobe Creative Cloud app but each time it opens Adobe Product Manager and then never updates APM to the Creative Cloud app nor does it give me any options to install the CC app.  Note: I've used adobe cleaner to clean my manager and did a fresh install of the latest Adobe Product Manager.  This allowed me to at least see all of the other CC programs and install several of them.  Its my understanding that APM is suppose to update itself to the CC app but it never does.  I'd really like to have the CC app to interact with the cloud as is intended.  plz advise and help.

Why am I stuck in a "you are logged out" loop while attempting to reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud (ACC)? I am able to log into the Creatrive cloud member portal.
    What gives.
Also, I can change my password at the ACC portal.
When prompted to login during installation the loop begins. I enter my username and password hit enter - click whir - and the same prompt reappears.
No email is delivered (not in junk either) when I ask for info on reseting my password the only solution offered in the debilitating prompt.
