Adobe Creative Suite Development:windows vs mac
When Adobe develops Creative Suite applications do they develop for the Mac or Windows platform first?
The builds for both platforms are done in parallel for Windows and MacOS from common source files with underlying libraries serving to differentiate how the programs work on particular platforms. The functionality is effectively the same for both platforms except where the underlying OS may prohibit some type of functionality (such as the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance for MacOS was suddenly prohibited by Apple a few releases of MacOS ago).

How does adobe creative suite 2 run on the apple book pro?
I am mainly using AfterEffects and Adobe creative suite2
on a powermac dual 2.5 gig. Do those run a lot slower on the apple book pro?I've only been using my MacBook pro for about a week (but now I have to send it to apple to replace the logic board), but my experience with photoshop CS2 and AE has been positive.
I also have a TI800 and the MacBook Pro blows that away but I'm sure the newest Powerbook would out perform the MacBook in AE and photoshop. Bottom line is it is definitely usable and better then I expected.

I have the same problem that the user who wrote the post "Trouble installing content files on Mac", but his post went unanswered. Here is the link: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4221280. I am trying to install the adobe creative suite CS5 downloaded from the internet, and what I have is a dmg file. When I open it, there is only a read me and a folder named "English". In the read me I go to the install instructions, and they tell me to double-click in Install.app, a file which doesn't exist. What am I doing wrong?
I downloaded it from Adobe Store. When I open the dmg file I see the read me.pdf and the English folder, nothing more. Perhaps the problem is that I have already installed the program in one computer, this is happening to me trying to install it in another one. Could that be it, that I need another license in order to make it work?

I have recently had to upgrade to mountain lion for my new iPhone 5, however this has caused me to loose my much loved Adobe Creative Suite. As soon the upgrade was completed my photoshop, illustrator and acrobat icons had a white symbol over them that looks like a no entry sign. When I click on it a pop up window appears that says 'You can't open the application because PowerPC applications are not supported. It is an old version of creative suite (the first I think) but I can't afford to buy a new one. Does anyone know whether its possible to upgrade or a solution?

It must be a very old version of Adobe. I run CS4 and my son runs CS5 with no issues and I believe CS3 can run under ML although I have not seen it as such, only read it here.
Upgrading is expensive but well worth it if you use Adobe regularly. You can always run Snow Leopard on another partition or external drive and run your old AdobeCS within that if you want.
Good Luck

Unable to activate Adobe Creative Suite 3
Hi,
My laptop has recently crashed and I had the hard drive replaced. Because I could not deactivate my copy of Adobe Creative Suite 3 prior to the breakdown, I am now unable to activate it as it is indicated that I have used up my activation limit.
Please let me know what I can do. Thanks!Hi Mylenium,
Thank you for your reply.
However, I'm never able to get through using web chat. May I know if there's an emai address which I can send my request to?
Thanks!
