  • Adobe Creative Cloud oder Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium Student and Teacher Edition

    Hallo.
Ich bin im Moment ein Student. Mein Studium geht noch 10 Monate lang.
Jetzt weis ich nicht so recht was sich für mich daheim mehr lohnt.
    Die
Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium Student and Teacher Edition für 575€

Aussimick you will want to enter in the qualifying serial number from the full version of Adobe software you purchased.  You can find the serial numbers located under your account by following the steps listed in Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.

  • Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium on Mac

I am about to purchase the current MacBook Pro: 13" 2.4 GHz
Everything in it will be standard.
In the Minimum requirements for Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium it says I need a mac with 7200 RPM hard drive for editing compressed video formats; RAID 0 for uncompressed.
The Standard MacBook Pro 13" 2.4 GHz has a 250GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm Drive.
There isn't an upgrade that I can see to get a 7200 RPM drive.
Will the program work on this MacBook? Will the software just run slow? What is RAID 0?
    Hope somebody can help.
    Thanks

I agree with sig. It doesn't make any sense to buy a bottom-of-the-line MBP to run one of the most demanding software packages in existence, particularly if your emphasis will be on video. You'll want a 15" i5 or i7 MBP with 8GB of RAM, one or more large 7200RPM FireWire 800 external hard drives, and a high-resolution external monitor for that.

  • Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium OpenGL problems

Hello, whenever I open any of the programs in Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium I get an error message from my graphics card saying something is wrong with OpenGL. I have a Nvidia GeForce GT 420M with the latest driver. The error messages are error messages 4 and 8, I'll try to get them to happen again so I can post them here. The programs also crash right before those messages come up. I run Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit, with 6GBs of RAM. I have an Intel core i5 as my processor. Does anyone know any way to fix this? Any help would be apreciated.
EDIT: Here are pictures of the errors that pop up:
    Any Ideas?

  • Looking to upgrade from Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium to the latest.

I am looking to upgrade from Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium to the latest. We are running on an isolated network without access to the Internet. Looking for advise on how best to proceed.

As far as upgrading goes, you will not have that option for CS3 as it is not in the upgrade path for CS6.  You will have to purchase the full version of CS6.  I don't know if buying the disk is still an option, but if you have to you can download the installation file(s) and copy to a removeable media and install using that.  In order to activate it you will have to perform an offline activation.
Here are some links that might be of help...

  • Can I use Adobe CS 5.5 Production Premium legally in Europe (Poland)?

I have bought the above product second-hand in Poland and I am waiting for the transfer of license to complete. Adobe Poland support gave me an information that the Universal English version is not considered legal outside US. There is however no such statement in Adobe's EULA for Creative Suite CS5.5. It seems true for the newest CS6 though. Has Adobe changed their license policy in this regard lately? If so, it shoudn't apply to the former products before CS6. All that seems a little bit confusing and the clear statement would be very helpful. Could anyone from Adobe give me som feedback here?

  • Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium: Number of DVD discs and content

I am currently trying to source Adobe CS 5.5 Production Premium second hand. Is anybody able to tell me the number of discs (DVD's) this package is on. I thought it was four, but may be incorrect. I am concerned of buying from someone not having all the discs. I am refering to the full retail version for UK (European) if that makes any difference.
Could anybody please clarify this and ideally what they are (Application Disc 1, etc...)
    Kind Thanks
    Andy

Thank you again for your reply.
Yes, I realise ordering replacement media would require a valid license. It was my intention to purchase this product second hand, used, not new... The intention being to save vital money. As I stated, my concern was that I had found this product with only three discs and believed there should be four. However, you suggest it should come with three, so it may just be my mistake:
Application Disc 1, Application Disc 2, Application Disc 3 (or whatever they are called)
+ Bonus disc with x86 versions of older products NOT included in x86 versions in CS5.5 (or something like that)
    Thanks

After I select "Install Adobe CS3 Production Premium" from the initial dialog box, a new box saying "Initializing Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium" appears with a progress bar. When the progress bar completes, nothing happens. The license agreement window fails to launch. I've tried copying the Adobe CS3 folder to my desktop and running setup.exe alone with no success.
When I use the same disks on a different computer, the license agreement launches.

    How does this system look?
    Any Suggestions
This system will be used for Standard Definition editing with the move to HD early next year.
Is the GTX580 w/ 3GB of memory a good choice?
This will be used for commercial production. It is replacing an Avid Mediacomposer/Adobe Premiere 7 system.
Output will primarily be via firewire to Sony DSR decks.

While there are may recommendations that can be done. There is no one "best" solution. It all depends on budget, and needs. I can only tell you why I chose certain components.
I took the Asus Rampage III for several reasons. I had to have sufficient PCIe slots of the appropriate lanes and physical spacing between them to accommodate 4 cards (One x16, one x8, and two x4). You have to account for the fact that the x16 GTX580 graphics card is double wide. In some cases, it's triple wide, but not the PNY GTX580 water cooled I chose. Another reason I chose it was because of it's ability to overclock. While most motherboards these days can overclock, the Rampage series has more options to fine tune. CPU wise, I'm getting a 990x CPU, because of it's unlocked multiplier, along with a closed-loop Anteck Kuhler 920 water cooling system. This CPU along with the Rampage III, will provide me with a wider spectrum of choices to achieve the fastest stable system I can get. In general, Asus brand has a good reputation, and the Rampage III has been around for some time and has proven itself to a stable and a good performer.
Why overclock? I don't plan to break any speed limits. Nor do I plan to push the limits of stability either. But there is a middle ground that can allow me to get faster computing, while keeping stability, in a well cooled environment. For me stability is very important. And I know it's possible to have a stable overclocked system that can last for years. Why overclock at all? Productivity! While a 990x 3.4GHz is very fast; 4.0 or 4.2GHz is faster. Most functionalities of an editing workstation (other then MPE) is CPU cenric. And while most modern apps are multithreaded, not all are optimized to use multicore. So the raw speed of a single core is still advantageous. Imagine 6 cores running faster on optimized applications like CS5.5.
If you intend to run lots of disks, a RAID card is highly recommended. Especially if your using a parity RAID like level 5. LSI makes good controllers. Areca also makes good controlers. The difference with LSI and Areca, and why a lot of people here choose Areca over other brands, is because of RAID3. RAID3 works beautifully in single user mode with very large files. Perfect for video editing. RAID5 will certainly work, but is better geared towards multiple users accessing large quantities of small data. Also, RAID5 from a motherboard's on-board RAID controller has CPU overhead. Having a card will remove that overhead. And RAID cards are more efficient then any on-board controllers. Finally, it helps to get a controller with more cache. While 512MB is good, more is better.
