I can't reinstall and activate my Cs2. I have XP operating system. and Explorer 8 nor mozilla work as browsers.

Adobe CS2 Activation issue

Every time we launch CS2 it asks for Activation. I visited Adobe help center for solution and Adobe suggests downloading new installer of CS2. But adobe says you have to use the serial No (1045-1412-5685-1654-6343-1431) for successful installation as mentioned on the link

My worry is that when we had purchased CS2, we were given a different serial No.
Can we uninstall the older version of CS2?
Are we authorized to use the new serial No?

I donwloaded this apparent 'fix'pf 3 files which are all exe files. They are completely different to the ones mentioned in the accompanying PDF of how to instal. Adobe are worng to have done this to their customers. I have already wasted nearly a day uninstalling, downloading, and then trying to instal with a set of files that the installer seems to see onlythe first one of the necessary three.
If anyone has managed to reinstall CS2 using these 3 files then please can you leave good clear instruction - Adobe are, so far at least, misleading those who download and make the effort to tyr and fix something purposly broken by Adobe. They seem only interested in their need to sell something else - get more money - force faithful customers into their plans. This activation discontinuation is a sly and disrespectful action by Adobe. Thumbs down.

After replacing my Harddrive, Adobe CS2 wants to by reactivated, by activating error code 24:24 is showing,
I was asked for phone activation, but several try´s I was told phonactivation is not supported anymore.
Can someone help me?

My computer crashed.
It was rebuilt.
I installed Adobe CS2, but it will not activate online or by phone.
What can I do.
My employer bought the CS2 and I also install it on home computer.

Adobe CS2 Installation, activation and using

Adobe Sucks! Now that I have got that out of my system! Yes it is my Fault! Here is the problem.
Adobe makes great products that are over priced. (Creative Suites-$2500.00 Retail even upgrades)
CS2, Yes it is an older version. Still is a fine product. Original computer that had CS2 installed, finally bit the dust and went to Electronic waste recycle. New computer (Windows XP Sp3-Got Windows XP just to run Adobe CS2)
Installation of SW completed wiht no errors. Installation activation complete with no errors. Run In Design - "Personalize Your Software" window appears and asks for input of serial number. Input serial number (as on Box, CD, etc.) error message states "Serial number entered is not Valid. Please check and re-enter" It is correct and valid serial number. program closes. When runing Photoshop first screen appears with error box stating "Photo Shop can not find valid Serial Number" Same serial number entered during installation and activation of software package. Called Adobe on phone - on hold for 1.5 hours listening to elevator music. Contacted on line chat for help. They said that the problem could be resolved only on the phone. Called on phone again. This time was able to talk to Adobe Technical Rep. All I heard was "CS2 is to old and not supported by Adobe". Buy a new package ($2,500.00) again. No discount for upgrade. No on line Adobe support, No phone Adobe support, Sorry for the inconvience Adobe Support. Can anyone help make Adobe CS2 work? or Do I throw it away and write off Adobe as a Software company and find someone else?

Your own copy of CS2 will not be able to be activated. You need to acquire a special version that has a special serial number. See the following for more information and to get the installation files.

Unable to install Adobe CS2 Premium on Windows OS 7. How do I fix this ?

I am unable to install Adobe CS2 Premium on Windows OS 7. My discs require activation but do install to the OS. The non-activation version recommended gives the error message that" this version is not compatible wih OS" and will not install.

Though you may install Cs2 on Windows but you may face performace issue. Please find the System Requirement for installing for one of the CS2 product: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-photoshop.html . However I would recommend you to purchase the new CC realease with more enhanced functionalities and features.

Forget about all the versions you already have (5.0 through to CS2). They will no longer work and the serial numbers are redundant.
Download the non-activation version of CS2 form the link provided by kglad and use the new non-activation serial number provided at that link. Your existing serial number(s) will no longer work.
Note: there is no guarantee that CS2 will run well on Win 8.1. Try it and see.

it seems that adobe wants people to by there over priced products at every upgrade. because i was unable to deactivate my pscs2 be for doing a system restore ia'm now unable to reactivate the program. i successfuly transfered the software from a win xp computer to a win 7 computer and had it work great for six years, adobe tech support claims if will only work on win xp & vista. anyone out there now of a solution?

You have to download a special version of CS2 that does not require activation but needs the new serial number they also provide.

The mac you want to install photoshop cs2 on is running mac os x 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?
(photoshop cs2 won't run on intel macs with mac os x newer than snow leopard)
Did you ever have cs2 installed on this particular computer before?
If the problem is that you already installed cs2, but it won't activate, that's because adobe took the activation servers offline for some older adobe products such as cs2.

Since The Security Update, my Adobe CS2 software will not function properly. Is it common with everyone?

I am having issues trying to run my adobe cs2 programs cause it says there is a disk error and will crash when I go to save something. All this occurred after I made my firmware update for the security as of tonight, and earlier in the daytime, it was functioning propperly.

Simmilar problems.Indesign CS3 crashes if I try to place anything or save. Freehand 10 crashes if I try to place, export or save as, though I have managed to save some files. It seems just about anything that accesses the disc crashes these apps now, apart from simply opening the files. Some Freehand files wo'nt even open now, crashing as soon as the app starts up. These are all documents with placed content, again necessitating more disc activity I suppose.
This has all suddenly occured since tonight's security update.
How the **** does the worlds most successful software company manage to screw up so ineptly? A while ago I suddenly lost access to most of my fonts within all my Adobe and Microsoft programs, immediately following one of Apple's security updates. I have never managed to resolve this issue. I was left with only Truetype fonts available in these programs, though the missing fonts remained available in other software, including Apple's own apps such as textedit.
I have an old Mac running old system software. It is a life saver. I don't let the internet and Apple's risky 'updates' anywhere near it. If anybody knows a better solution than using an antique machine running out of date software I'd love to know.

CS2 Activation problem

Hello,
I just installed Adobe CS2 on a work computer and at the activation screen it says it could not detect the internet, yet the internet works fine on this computer. I am using it to post this topic! What is the problem here?

Perhaps you can give a bit more information about your configuration? Which version of Windows perhaps?
