Adobe CS2 compatibility with Loepard

Hi there,
I just received my new iMac and got everything setup only to hear that apparently Adobe is not supporting their CS2 software with Leopard. I have Adobe web bundle and mostly use Photoshop, Illustrator as well as Macromedia Studio8 Flash and Dreamweaver.
Has anyone had any problems running CS2 or Studio8 with Leopard? So far I haven't come across any bugs, but I also haven't really used the software much. I just checked to make sure I could install and open it.

No that's not the issue. CS2 was released in April of 2005 before the release of the Intel platform from Apple in 2006. The new code used to program applications to run natively on the Intel macs is called Universal Binary(UB) and the older code is called PowerPC(PPC). Since CS2 was released as PPC they decided not to recode the current version rather just code the new version UB from scratch. They also knew that Apple included built in emulation so that you could run PPC apps on the Intel Mac. At this point it has nothing to do with it being Tiger or Leopard and don't misunderstand Adobe does still fully support CS2. I am just letting you know it runs slower on the Intel Macs and the only real fix for that is to purchase the CS3 software.

  • Adobe CS2 compatibility with Leopard 10.5.1

I need to boot from the disks on an old iMac -- but I can't locate those disks. I do have an unused Leopard 10.5.1 that I could use -- but I need to make sure that Adobe CS2 will still work on that computer. Does anyone know if it will work?

Ha-ha.... I had an IT guy tell me it would overwrite the system but wouldn't mess with the data or the programs -- but he couldn't tell me if they were compatible... I guess this why I'm not computer guru!

Is adobe photoshop CS2 compatable with windows 8?

I have removed and re-installed CS2 twice now and still get the same library application error.
DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS 8 ONTO YOUR COMPUTER IF YOU WANT TO KEEP CS2!
Telling us to spend more money to upgrade our software to meet OS does not show trust to the users. CS2 should be able to work with new OS systems and if not users should be allowed to update their current program for free to be able to use it on the new OS.
    Thank you,

  • Adobe CS2 Installs with ARD?

We recently purchased a volume license for Adobe CS2. I have read the information on the Adobe website about configuring a silent install. All seems to be fine with putting the files together in a directory as they say but I am hitting a wall when it comes to running the sudo command using the "Send UNIX command" function. I can send the command but the results display shows me the input for password but I have no interaction with the shell.
I am attempting to run this as the Administrator account on the remote Mac. Should I enable the root user and log in under that account and attempt to re-run the script or is there a way to authenticate using ARD and this command? I have several Macs I need to run this install on.

I tried to reply to you last night, Bill, but the forums went down between when I hit Reply and when I hit Post Message.
As a matter of coincidence, I had just finished doing the exact thing you are attempting. I used the instructions found at http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331297.html to the letter, copying my cs2install folder to the remote machine's top-level folder using ARD. Then I used "Send Unix Command" -- as root user and set to display all output -- to send the following command to the remote machine:
    sudo /cs2install/Macsuite_silentinstall.sh /cs2install/ /cs2install/AdobeInstallerConfiguration.xml
I had a hard time determining when it was finished, though, because the output doesn't say, "Hey, I'm done!" when it's done, but ARD will return a successful message. All told, the actual silent installation on the remote machine, from the time I sent the Unix command, took six minutes.
    Yup, six minutes.
The updates, however, took me an hour and a half!

  • Adobe Viewer Compatibility with Android Mobiles... anyone know which?

We've created a digital magazine using Adobe DPS and deployed it online here:  http://www.thinkingtackle.korda.co.uk/landing.html   (click VIEW under TTD3) to launch the online verison rather than App versions
It should redirect to the live mag in Adobe Content Viewer...
Works fine on Mac, PC, iOS.... BUT no joy on the plethora of mobiles we've tried it on...  Samsung Galaxy S3 and various others...
Keen to understand the limitations or extent of Adobe Content Viewer's compatibility with Andriod Mobiles/Tablets
    Can anyone advise?
    Best
    Nick@Code

    Hi Bob,
Adobe Content Viewer from Google Play (May 1, 2013) is both compatible and works fine on my Nexus 4 phone. We understand that adding the Android phone compatibility might cause poor app rating as the buttons/controls will be hard to tap on the smaller screens. But publisher could add these limitations to the app description. So my question is if support for Android phones could be added to the custom viewer as an optional feature checkbox, please.
    Thank you,
    Gennady

Open PP, then from the Welcome Screen click Open Project...  That will give you the window to navigate to the project file.

  • Is Adobe CS4 compatable with Lion?

Before I install Lion, I would like to find out what software is compatable, especially CS4 (photoshop illustrator InDesign, etc)

There is a link on the Adobe site that says something about 'they are working closely with apple' blah blah blah.  Are you using 10.7.2?  or 10.7?  I'd like to upgrade to a new MBPro but need to know if my software is going to work on it.  Anyone know if the .2 update has fixed the problems with CS4?  Thanks.

  • Adobe Reader compatibility with Chrome on MAC OS

    Hi,
Are Adobe Reader 9, 10 & 11 versions compatible with Chrome on a MAC OS?
I found below Adobe Reader tech specs where Chrome is not explicitly listed under Mac OS but again Chrome isn’t explicitly listed for Adobe Reader 9 and 10 specs for windows either but this works fine –
    http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/reader/tech-specs.html
Any pointers will be really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

Chrome uses its own PDF viewer, not the Adobe Reader plugin.
To configure Chrome to use the Adobe PDF plugin see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

  • Is Adobe CS4 compatable with a mac 10.5.8?

I'm having troubles opening up Ai with my Mac 10.5.8. I open it and click File>New and the screen is still blank with occasional pop-ups about "plug-ins." Not quite sure what to do. Should I uninstall?

Maybe something went wrong when installing
So you should uninstall, run the clean script and then reinstall:

  • Adobe software - compatibility with intel Macs

I've just bought a new iMac and hoped to be able to run my elderly Adobe software (InDesign 2 & Photoshop 7). I have enabled Rosetta but when trying to install both programs (from the original discs) it made reference to Classic (which I thought was only used to run programs that were native to OS 9). Needless to say, Photoshop did install but crashes every time I launch while InDesign fails to install at all. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way around it? Or do I have to buy new Adobe software. PS: I have successfully installed and are using, Microsoft Office from 2003.

I am coming from the PC land, I puchased a IMAC QUAD 7 with lots 8 gigs of memory. I tried to install photoshop essentials I think 6 for the Mac it came with a new touchpad. It would not work it crashed immediatly. I installed Photoshop c4 extended, trial version for the Mac it works just fine its problem unlike extended for PC is not 64 bit It only sees 4 of the 8 gigs of memory. It works justfine. It can not open as many pictures at same time but I can only work n one at a time. I am also running Windows 7 64 bit with fusin ware 3. Windows works quiet well. You may be able to run your older photoshop( I believe they came with both Windows and Apple versions) Inside of your apple, fusion and say windows xp are less than photoshop. Just a thought.

  • Adobe CS3 Compatibility with Yosemite

I own Adobe's CS3. I run it on a 27 inch 2010 Intel IMac with OS 10.6.8. I want to upgrade to Yosemite, but I need to know that Adobe CS3 will run on Yosemite. I have been unable to get a direct answer from Adobe.

I am also running the Adobe CS3 suite & I just upgraded to Yosemite yesterday (Dec. 26, 2014) from Snow Leopard 10.6.8. So I really went for it with this upgrade, of course, taking all the necessary preparations like backups & researching potential problems.
After the upgrade I clicked to run Photoshop & was prompted for the upgrade to Java link just like Eau Rouge indicated. I downloaded it & have been able to run the CS3 programs (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator & yes even Flash) with no problems thus far.
I am really going to put Photoshop through its paces today & if any issues arise, I will repost back in this forum. But so far all is good. Hope this information helps!

  • Adobe X compatibility with Office 2002

    Hi everyone,
I have a «PDFMaker file» error using Acrobat X. We currently have Office 2002 here. From what I saw here, those two aren't working together :
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/333/333504.html
Beside using PDF Printer to create PDF files, is there another way to make it work? Any other workaround? Or should I Just wait to upgrade Adobe after upgrading Office?
    Thanks!

If you have an older version of Acrobat you could reinstall that version.
Upgrade to a newer version of MS Office, but you probably are not going to get an upgrade price due to the age of your copy of MS Office.
You might find a 3rd party product will work.

  • Adobe Forms compatibility with Microsoft Word

Does anyone know if Adobe forms has the capability to merge the results of a form into a word document?

Formscentral only supports exporting responses as either PDF or Excel. From there you may be able to get your data into a word format depending on your needs. There is no autmatic way to convert responses to formatted Word files.
