Adobe CS3 Master Collection Install Issues

Im at my whits end with this, I have got the master Collection on a disk, but when i try to install it opens the installer and the bar opens but then it just silent closes (no error messages) after a second or 2... without any progress...
The details;
System Specs:
Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop, Intel Core2 Duo Processor 2GHz, 3GB RAM and 320GB HDD
Running Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 32bit Edition
I have previously had Photoshop CS3 and Premier 6 installed, but i got rid of those prior to install attempt number one!
What I have tried so far;
- I have deleted all Adobe software off my computer, therefore it isnt a software clash.
- I have tried turning my anti-virus off and on, so it isn't an anti-virus or firewall clash
- I have tried all the recommended tips on the Adobe website
- I have all the correct files for running the software, I have also tried running it on a different laptop, and it worked.
- I ran CCleaner, and a registry cleaner, still nothing
- I realised I forgot to get rid of Macromedia Flash... Promptly removed it; still nothing.
I am really getting upset by this now (upset and angry)
All tips would be much appreciated and I will be forever in debt to whoever solves this issue!

I have also had trouble uninstalling Adobe Photoshop CS3, as i said above i tried to get rid of it, however i couldnt remove it via the uninstall menu, so i deleted it from program files (and all other traces of photoshop i could find) however the option to unistall is still their, but when i try to uninstall it comes up with the error message that is attached...
im assuming these 2 problems are linked... so help with this would be useful..

I just installed Adobe CS3 Master Collection on my G4 PowerBook, and with the install discs there is a CONTENT disc which contains a folder called GOODIES with content like photos, fonts, clip art etc. Basically all the files i need to use the programs.
Can someone tell me where these are supposed to go? Do I drag them somewhere?

It doesn't make a bit of difference where you put them. Just copy them all into a folder anywhere on your hard drive.

You are on your own. CS3 was never tested or developed for Win 8, so compatibility issues are expected and inevitable. Try compatibility modes and all that...

CS5.5 Master Collection install issues

I have a physical copy of CS5.5 master collection but when it installed on my Mac Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash couldn't be accessed. I uninstalled these 3 applications and now that I'm trying to reinstall the applications I'm getting and error 7 message. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks Mylenium. I uninstalled the suite, ran the cleaner and re downloaded but I'm still having problems. Flash downloaded this time but Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash Catalyst, and Flash builder did not. After install I was given this error

Creative Suite 4 Master Collection Install issue

Hi,
Hopefully someone can shed some light on my problem...
I have a brand new copy of CS4 Master Collection which I shelled out a lot of money but I am having problems getting past the first minute or so on the first install DVD!!
I keep getting an error that says 'SYSTEM ALERT' The Minimum System requirements are not met'
I am running Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 on a laptop with 2GB Ram and 1.73Ghz.
1) Adobe state that 2Ghz is the minimum. Is this pretty strict or do you think I should be okay with the 1.73Ghz I currently have? Could this be one issue as to why the requirements are not met?
2) I have removed all adobe products such as Acrobat, Flash Player, Flash Plug Ins, Adobe InDesign CS2 etc. Do I need to remove Photoshop 7.0, Dreamweaver MX and Flash MX too or are these not affected due to being original Marcomedia Products?
I am not too sure why Adobe CS4 seems to think my requirements are not met??
Can anyone shed any light on this? Am I missing something obvious?

Bob - i had to edit my last post on here as I did think I had SP1 installed but I am starting to think that I actually don't!!
I checked my Windows Updates and it seems that SP1 updates since July 2008 have failed to install properly.
When I check my system info it doesn't list SP1 anywhere on my PC.
Anyway, I downloaded the Readiness Update file and ran that. All went fine. I then downloaded the 455Mb SP1 file and can't seem to get past the first 10mins of that. I just get an error 0x800B0100
So, as it stands I cannot install SP1 and CS4 stays lonely and unused in it's packaging :-(
Any other ideas? Or is this something I really need to take up with the people at Microsoft/Vista?

Legally owned and installed Helvetica not showing up on Windows 7 Adobe CS3 Master Collection

I have owned and used a licensed version of Helvetica for a number of years now (typing with one arm since the purchase cost me an arm AND a leg, hehe) - I recently "upgraded" to Windows 7 and reinstalled all of my fonts which all show up other than Helvetica. Helvetica DOES show up in other applications such as Office Word, but not any of my Adobe products. These are Type 1 fonts.

I have a system with Windows 7 32-bit and several with Windows 7 64-bit. None of these systems have any problems installing Type 1 fonts or accessing same for typical Windows applications such as Word. Type 1 fonts are installed under Windows 7 (either 32-bit or 64-bit) by right clicking on the .PFM file for the font (where the assumption is that the .PFB file is in the same directory). Don't attempt to use dragon-drop to install like you may have with either Windows XP or Vista.
One further question might be whether you did a clean install of Windows 7 or you attempted some upgrade? Always do a clean install. Furthermore, do not even attempt to install the now-obsolete Adobe Type Manager product which is fully incompatible with Windows 7.

On Mac running 10.7.4. Got the checksum error from the installer. Turned off checksum checking. Manually ran the install from the dmg file. InDesign, Fireworks, and Illustrator didn't install. What can I do?

Did you try installing while you still had an extracting error message? I would recommend completing solution 1 in Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_1 and trying the download again.
Alternately you can follow the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.

Beware: Adobe CS3 Master Collection could mess with your FCS2

Found this out today -
Was wondering why on my MacPro stuff was cough missing in Motion / FCP... specifically the Video Generators. My only conclusion was the install order on 2 separate computers at my house. FCS2 then Adobe MC and vice versa. Basically my video generators (not all of them which was even more strange) were missing out of my ProApps folder in Application Support.
It seems like the safest route is MC first then FCS2... or simply know that if some PlugFx go missing that you'll need to manually copy those back. For some reason even doing the install again (not clean) didn't put them back

Hmm, this may be what happened to some of my FxPlug Blurs in FCP. They work in Motion but applying them in FCP returns a big red "failed to render" screen. But they're gone, as far as I can tell, there's no way to copy them back. Tell me more?

You've got an incompatible Logitech driver and java was incompletely uninstalled.
You may have a problem with the Wacom driver.
I don't know if fixing those things will help.
There also a few window server errors, but I don't know if they are causal.
If you can note the time of the hangs, that might help narrow it down in the logs.

Problems installing CS3 master collection

So i just received Adobe CS3 Master Collection and was trying to install it on my MBP. After it installed the first disc, i would get a black window that said installer alert. I went to adobe webpage and they told me it was because i had the safari 3 public beta installed and that I needed to remove it. i wasnt entirely sure how to do this so I just dragged it to the trash and emptied it. then i put in my tiger os x dvd and reinstalled safari 2.whatever. after clearing out the old partial install of CS3, i tried again but i got the same crap with the blank window. did i really uninstall safari 3.0 or is there more i need to do? this is really annoying and want to get to using my new software

You can't just delete the Safari 3 Beta. You must use the uninstaller found on the .dmg file.
Download it again, if deleted, or install it again to run the uninstaller.
It will restore Safari 2.0.4

How do you install the content for CS3 master collection?

I have installed Adobe CS3 Master Collection on my Mac.
All the software is loaded and ready to go. There is an extra
disc that says "content." When I pop it in I'm not prompted to
do anything. How do I get the "content" to load up? Do I drag
all of the items onto my boot drive? If so, which folder? Documents?

The content disk is just a collection of extra stuff for you to peruse. There's a whole bunch of free PostScript OpenType fonts, documentation for all of the applications in PDF format, some help files (like migrating from Go Live to Dreamweaver). Just open the disk and look though it.

Adobe Suite: Master Collection CS5 Migration Issues

I just fresh installed OS X Yosemite on my Macbook Pro 2008 model, and then migrated my applications, including an activated Adobe Suite: Master Collection CS5 product. Everything seemed fine, but this morning, whenever I open one of the programs, Adobe complains that the serial number is "not valid" for the product. How do I resolve this issue? Should I revert to my old time machine backup?

Oh. One more thing. I realize I did not deactivate the product on the backup. Could that be the issue?
