  • Adobe CS4 Re-Installation problem

A few years ago I bought Adobe Creative Suite CS4 for use in my college courses as an art major. However Photoshop had been recently crashing with strange frequency, disrupting my flow of work enough to prompt me to save it as frequently as every 5 minutes or so. As this was greatly hampering my work, i decided to attempt to reinstall Photoshop to see if the problem would persist once it was reinstalled.
Unfortunately I've not recieved the chance to test this theory.
In the process of re-installing, the adobe CD constantly stops when installing adobe air. You can hear the cd running with every element being installed, but once it reaches adobe air, it runs... then stops. It wont continue installing anything else.
I have re-installed Adobe Air, uninstalled Adobe Air, and left the installation "running" for several hours to no visible effect. Whats worse is that the program technically is running because when i force-quit it (the cancel button doesnt seem to work either) its not seen as 'not responding'.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated, as digital art is the kind with which i am most comfortable with.

  • Adobe CS4 School Installation Woes

    Hi,
I'm a student at Brown University. I  downloaded the 5-part installation for CS4 from the school website and  have been plagued by installation problems since.
First, the  error message "Session has dependencies that cannot be satisifed"  appered. I used MS Windows Installer, Your Un-installer, and CS4/5  Cleaner to remove all the parts I've installed. Tried this for 3 - 4  times and still got the error message.
Eventually I got a different error  message: "Installer database is corrupt". Tried uninstalling everything  (including removal of CAPS file) and re-installing, but was faced with  the System Profile Check being stuck at 90%. Did the uninstallation all  over again and it's back to the  "Installer database is corrupt"  message. I've also tried deleting the regsvr32.dll file using the  command prompt, as recommended by other forums.
In all, I must have gone  through the cycle about 10 times, all to no avail.
I've read  through the forums and tried all the remedies I could Google, and it  seems I've come across pretty much every single installation problem  raised by others. Does anyone has any clue what I should do?
    System  specs:
    OS:  Windows 7 Home Premium
    RAM: 3GB
    Thanks!

  • Adobe cs4 (trial)  Installation problem to WinXP sp3

I tried to download and install CS4 (trial) with akamai download manager. When I go to CS4 folder, I try to run the setup but i get the error "The Adobe Setup encounter a problem and must be terminated" I tried to open the setup.exe from the zip folder, it run's to the end and then the same error comes up again. I deactivated my firewall but again I can't install CS4. I contacted the technical support but they didn't help me. I get the following error data which I prompted to send to Microsoft. " AppName:setup.exe,AppVer:2.0.133.0, ModName:msvcr80.dll, ModName:8.0.50727.4053, Offset:000149d1. Where is the problem? Can anyone help me?

  • Adobe Flash Player installation trouble

First off, my apologies for this not being an 'Installation and Setup' issue with Leopard itself.
Being prompted everywhere to download the new Flash player (Version 10+ I believe) I have, but I'm having one very annoying and probably very simple issue.
When I download the 'installer'.pkg and open it, Flat Package Editor says 'The document “Adobe Flash Player.pkg” could not be opened.'
Having assumed this is an issue with FPE trying to open the installer I've been trying to find a way to stop it doing so but to no avail.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks for the help.

  • Adobe CS4 Content - installation?

I see nothing on the hard drive, in Applications, Library, System with the name Setup Mac OS.
Where is the Setup Mac OS icon that I am supposed to double-click?

  • Hi I have Adobe CS4 installation on laptop.

Hi I have Adobe CS4 premium installed on my Mac desktop. It was an upgrade to CS2 Standard. I would like to install it on my new Macbook Pro laptop but nothing happens when I insert either CS disk into the laptop diskdrive. I assume that I need to load CS2 first? But it says that it does not support Power PC ?? So how do I get this software on my Macbook Pro? Thank you.

There is no need to install the Cs2 prior for installing the CS4. You can directly install the CS4.

I own Adobe CS4 Design Premium Suite and want to install it on 2 computers in my home. Can I with 1 serial number?

Yes.  A single user license allows for activated installations on two machines of the same platform type (Windows versus Mac).  A limitation in this allowance is that only one of the machines can be using the Suite software at any given time.

  • Adobe CS4 Design Premium software

I have the Adobe CS4 Design Premium software that was purchased 10-09.  I am trying to install it on my Desktop Computer and keep getting an error message.  I had it installed on the Desktop which was running Windows XP and my hard drive crashed.  I install a new hard drive with Windows 7 on it.  I did have the CS4 suite installed on the old hard drive.  How can I get past the error message on the first install disk so that I can complete the installation and have all of the apps running correctly?
    Peggy

And that error message is exactly...? You have omitted the most important part.

  • How do I install Adobe CS4 Design Premium on a Non-System Drive?

I am trying to install Adobe CS4 Design Premium on a Non-System Drive, but it appears
that there is no option to do so. Is there a workaround to changing the installation location?

    Hi Bob,
Thanks for your answer. The reason is because I am working on a Navy computer with limited space on my C Drive.  I have more space available to me on a "D" Drive.  I am running Windows XP with 3GB RAM and 17GB on the D.  I only have 10GB on the C Drive, but that needs to stay open for system patches, & other software.  Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 is installed on the C.
    Thank you for your response.

  • How do I install Adobe CS4 Web Premium?

Hello, I recently bought Adobe CS4 Web Premium. I'm running Windows XP 64-bit. When I was trying to download the software, I got confused on which CD to install first (Application 1, Application 2, or Content). I figured to install Application 1. When I finished installing Application 1 it asked me to insert disk 1. Does anybody know which CD to install first?

    Those are DVD's, not CD's.
I would do what the installer says.
Are you putting the DVD's into a DVD reader?

Installation stops on Disk 2 exactly at 76% . Tried twice and the same case.
CPU goes up to 100% Memory 29%
Tested the Hard disk fine. New 300gb 10krpm Velociraptor.
What is the issue? No errors just installation hangs and freezes the whole system. I had to do a reset the system.
    Any help is appreciated.
    thanks,
    Hari

I tried installing on my laptop which had Adobe CS4 on Windows 7 64 bit.
The dvds are good. It installed without a glitch. I didn't have to disable services or cleanup anything.
Now i can scrub thru my RED footage so fat it feels like knife on a butter.
But my desktop is still having issues. I cleaned up using CS5 cleanup script. and ran as administrator.
Now i am going to cleanup again and disable all the services and try once more. If it doesn't work, i am calling the support tomorrow.
Thank you Bob and Matt for the suggestions.

  • I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro on my computer and my installation of Adobe Design Premium CS3 is not functioning. I cannot start it to get in and deactivate the Creative Suite installation.

I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro on my computer and my installation of Adobe Design Premium CS3 is not functioning. I cannot start it to get in and deactivate the Creative Suite installation.

if you're using the same computer hardware to reinstall your cs3, you don't need to deactivate first.
but if there's a significant hardware change you can ask adobe support for an activation count reset. contact adobe support by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
