Adobe CS4 Web Premium

Have a new computer deactivated CS4 and installed on new computer all went fine until I wanted to install Soundbooth and Contribute CS4.
Fault given is my Lisence key is invalled??
Had this same problem Last year and was able to download the two missing programs and using my key's install no problems.
That is not the case today as on the Adobe website it's all CS5 which I have in my laptop Windows 7 fully fuctional.
Does anyone know of a link anywhere on adobe where I can download Contribute and Soundbooth CS4 to fully utilise this design program.

Well what a letdown Adobe support has been over
this issue after 7emails and 1 telephone call it
would seam Adobe CS4 owners are without any
technical support whatsoever. Quote from Adobe
" We only supply links to download CS5
products not CS4 "
I am therefore in need of a link for Soundbooth
CS4 and Contribute CS4 as my DVD's are useless
and are not worth two cents.
This will enable me to have the full Design Premium suite
installed for which I paid for .
Can anyone help here as Adobe will only support My CS5 product.
How they can say this is beyond me as you can still but today CS4 from 3rd party vendors.

I have done a clean install of Adobe CS4 Web Premium via the orginal DVD media.
Straight after I go to adobe updater to update the products, but it just says "there are no updates available at this time."
at First I thought this might be mcafee hips polcy stopping the update from going through, but I have fixed this now, but still I get the same message.
I have also ensured my windows firewall is off, so its not that causing the issue.
    Any help, muchly appriciated.

you can download updates directly via links here, http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

  • How do I install Adobe CS4 Web Premium?

Hello, I recently bought Adobe CS4 Web Premium. I'm running Windows XP 64-bit. When I was trying to download the software, I got confused on which CD to install first (Application 1, Application 2, or Content). I figured to install Application 1. When I finished installing Application 1 it asked me to insert disk 1. Does anybody know which CD to install first?

    Those are DVD's, not CD's.
I would do what the installer says.
Are you putting the DVD's into a DVD reader?

  • Need to Download Official Adobe CS4 Web Premium

    This link does't work.  http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
That link sends you to Acrobat and the download app will not allow to download Web Premium CS4.
Anyone know where I can get CS4 so I can finish my project.  I am in a remote location and the disks are at home.
I need to reinstall CS4 Web Premium.
I have tried the link and it will not work.  I followed the instructions and another member here followed the instructions and it will not work.  We are not novices to the internet or the idea of downloading a simple file or two.
Adobe does a great job at taking your money.  Ask them for a download and they do mind jerks and twitch and beg for money.  I paid for the software, I should be allowed to at least get it downloaded.

This link does't work.  http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here. html
The link works fine. I just tried it.

You don't download the software from there.
You missed Step 3 in the Instructions: Click the download button (pretending you want to download Acrobat) then immediately cancel the download box which appears.
THEN go back to prodesigntools.com and click the link to download Web Premium CS4

  • How to upgrade multiple CS4 WEB Premium to multiple Creative Cloud using the same Adobe account?

    Hi all!
    Sorry for my english speaking...
On my company Adobe Account I registred three Adobe CS4 Web Premium, that I use in my company on three different PC's.
Now I would to upgrade my three Adobe CS4 Web Premium buying three Creative Cloud subscriptions with the special discount that I find on https://creativecloud-specialoffer.adobe.com/special-offer/?loc=en_US .
So I registred three orders of Creative Cound subscriptions on my Adobe Account, but today I got a e-mail from Adobe that says that Adobe refuses two of my orders because only one Creative Cloud subscription is admissible for each Adobe Account that has at least one Adobe product serial number registred.
How can I solve this issue? Must I split my three Adobe CS4 Web Premium on three different Adobe IDs? Can I do it?
    Many thanks,
    Walter

    Hi Carol,
many many thanks for your quick reply!
In other words I must pay a 61$/mo subscription instead the 36$/mo subscriptions for 2 of 3 users, isnt it?
But in this way I will spend about 600$ more for the first year.
I always buyed genuine Adobe products, it is demralizing to spend 600$ only because a multiple-subscription restriction fot those that registred all the products per Adobe ID...
    Other solutions?

  • CS4 Web premium prices

I have moved this from the newgrounds forums since no one
knew what I was talking about. Sorry if this is in the wrong fourm,
there was no general/ Web premium forum, just individual product
    forums.
I want CS4 Web Premium for christmas, and I am allowed
£200 (I will pay the rest myself) I currently have studio 8
educational version. (the one with flash, drewmweaver, fireworks,
and contribute) So I wanted an upgrade. I looked at the upgrade
options and noticed that since I have studio 8 I can upgrade to web
premium CS4 for $599, but I don't know if I could do this since its
the educational version and I want the full version. Also, I
noticed (I live in the UK by the way) That from the US store its
$599 which is £372 (it was £350 last time I checked, but
never mind that) and from the UK store it is about £540, so I
was wondering why this is and if I could order it from the US and
get it shipped over. So basically, I want to know what the cheapest
way of getting an upgrade from Macromedia Studio 8 Education
Version to Adobe CS4 Web Premium, and weather I could get it from
the us for cheaper and have it shipped or not. This whole lot has
    got me really confused.

It is not true that you can't use the US version in the UK.
Your computer will not explode. Alarms will not sound.
I live outside the USA and can confirm that Adobe's prices
are ridiculous and unjustifiable to overseas customers. They can't
even use shipping costs as an excuse (as my local Adobe distributor
does), since even the download versions are overpriced outside the
    USA.
Adobe will not ship outside the USA, and neither will some
retailers like Amazon. But if you do a Google Shopping search you
will find several legitimate, official online retailers who will
sell you the software at US discounted prices and ship overseas. I
always do it this way, and it saves me hundreds of dollars. The
only disadvantage is that Adobe in the UK will not give you phone
support if you have a USA serial number.
As to whether an upgrade using a US serial number will fail
if the older version is a UK serial number, this is not an issue.
If it doesn't work, then you get on the phone to (local UK) Adobe
technical support and they should help you with an authorization
code to get the upgrade to work.
Happened to me with CS2. I called Adobe support. They never
once questioned which country I bought the programs in. And why
should they care? How do they know whether I bought the program
while on holiday in the USA, or whether I moved overseas and
    brought my computer with me?
I'm hoping for Adobe to wise up and join other major software
vendors; Sony comes to mind: I use Acid Pro to produce soundtracks
for my Flash movies. I order directly from Sony USA (Acid Pro is
made in the US, not Japan), and the price is the same no matter
where in the world you are. They charge extra for shipping, that's
    all (only US$20).
Meanwhile, buy from a legitimate online vendor (NOT eBay
vendors; most of those are bootlegs). There is nothing remotely
    illegal about it.

  • CS4 Web Premium Installation "Installer Database Corrupt.  Contact Adobe Customer Service."

    I need help.
I just purchased a HP Envy 23 running Windows 8.  It came with Adobe Premiere and Elements 11 already installed.
I own Lightroom 3, which I installed very quickly and easily.
I own CS4 Web Premium with the serial number at hand.  I insert the disk 1 to install and the error message appears: "Installer Database Corrupt. Contact Adobe Customer Service."  After serveral attempts, I resort to researching on this forum.
In the forum, found here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1238032 I was asked to go the linked website and download and specifically follow the instructions to install CS4 from the internet.  I did what I was told as closely as possible.
I received the same error message: "Installer Database Corrupt."
I asked if I needed to uninstall Elements 11 before trying to install CS4 but haven't received a response.  Actually, now Adobe won't let me sign on with my password and when I request for a new one it doesn't send me a confirmation email so I have resorted to making a new username.
I called Adobe about the issue with the error and was directed back here to the forum because they do not have phone service support for CS2, CS3, CS4, or CS5 because it is "old" technology.  I am loosing lots of work time because I can't seem to get a quick response to my questions here on the forum.
I found another forum saying that I need to rename the file "caps.db." to "xcaps.db" and it will install just fine.  I did what it said, looking for any and every folder in both premiere and elements to rename anything that began with "caps"  After doing so, I still got the error message.
What I need to know is:
    1. How can I install CS4 Web Premium either by disk or internet without getting an error.
    2. Must I totally uninstall Elements and Premiere to get CS4 installed?  I really don't want to do that since I paid for them with the purchase of my computer.
I'd really like some answers.  Thanks.

You're going to need to be more specific about what I am supposed to do because I'm very unfamiliar with computer lingo.  I don't know what an OEM is and I am unsure about these backup disks you are referring to.  The expertise on this forum is the only lifeline I have to fixing this Adobe issue so I really want to try my best here to get things resolved.  I've not heard of deleting caps.db and haven't heard of anything to do with medai.db files before.  I'm supposed to delete these instead of renaming caps?

It's possible to transfer licenses but it must be done by contacting a Customer Service representative by phone or web chat. They'll probably have you submit a form.

  • How do I install the Content DVD in CS4 Web Premium?

I can't find anything about this on the forum. Sorry if it has been asked before (I know it's a very basic question), but can anyone tell me how I install the Content DVD in CS4 Web Premium, please? This is the DVD that contains the PDF manuals, Fonts and samples / tutorials for Fireworks and Photoshop.
The first two DVDs (Application 1 and 2) installed automatically, and then went straight to the Registration page without prompting me to insert any further DVDs. All of the software from the first two DVDs seems to have installed correctly.
However, when I insert the third DVD (Content), it will not auto-run. I see ut contains an "autorun.inf" file that references a program called "autoplay.exe", but the latter isn't present on the DVD. Could this be the problem?
I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Cutomer support on this issue is attrocious.
Here is what I asked them:

  • Flash will not install from CS4 Web Premium on XP

I installed CS4 Web Premium a while back and, since I do not do a lot of Flash development, I didn't realize right off that Flash CS4 did not install. However, I just tried to go back and install it from the DVD and it shows in the list but the box in front of it is uncheckable. The heading at the top says to check the boxes to install or reinstall the applications. Other programs such as Dreamweaver, Contribute, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. can be checked but the box in front of Flash (and Soundbooth, etc.) are unresponsive. I do still have CS3 Web Premium on this machine which has Flash CS3 Professional and Flash CS3 Video Encoder as well as also still having Studio 8 and CS 2 with Flash 8 and Flash 8 Video encoder and InDesign CS2 & CS3, Visual Communicator, VlogIt, etc.. Do I need to remove any of those first? This machine is about 3 years old (Dell Optiplex GX620) running Win XP. I'm about to upgrade to a new machine in about a month that will be running Windows 7. So I will be doing a clean install of CS4 Web Premium then. But it would be nice to fix this so I can work on some Flash files before then. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I'm assuming you are using the Manual Install. Did you already Uninstall any current Flash Player version?
If not, download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Then download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Use the EXE Installer for Windows and Internet Explorer. Use the EXE Installer for the plugin based browsers
Then use the Administrator Account and CLOSE all browser Windows. Disable any instant messenger service from the system tray.
Run the Uninstaller and reboot(restart) your computer.
Then Run the Installer and reboot.
That message appears because the IE browser window is open.

  • Adobe CS4 Design Premium Compatability

    Hello,
My daughter is required to use Adobe CS4 Design Premium by her School. I will have to buy a new laptop for this purpose. In this regard, I have few queries:
Most laptops come with Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) OS. Since the Adobe website states that this program is certified for 32-bit, I am not sure whether CS4 could perform perfectly on Vista 64-bit platform?
If the answer to the above is yes, then I intend to purchase a laptop with specs of Intel Duo 2 Core T6500 (2.1 Ghz 800 FSB 2MB Cache), 4GB RAM DDR2 800 MHz, display 1280 x 800, and 250GB 5400 rpm hard drive. Is this hardware sufficient to run CS4?
I am a layman as far as technology is concerned. I called up Adobe technical support 2 times: first time they said it wont work and second time they said it will work!!. I am totally confused. Since this means a significant investment to me, I request help and guidance from anyone on this subject.
    Thanks,
    AlokSaap

As you realize, the sky is the limit in terms of how you can configure a system. You could literally spend $10,000 on a new production PC but that certainly would not necessarily buy you any advantage unless you had particular needs that could take advantage of the extra juice that such a pricey configuration provides.
The problem with your request is that it doesn't say really what the typical user of these 2 to 3 new production PCs will actually be doing. For example, are they doing simple web page design in Dreamweaver with occasional entry into Photoshop to edit low resolution images for web display? Or are they jack-of-all-trade designers with windows open in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator simultaneously dealing with graphically very complex and large files? Dedicated to graphics work or are there half a dozen browser windows plus Outlook (or some other e-mail client) open simultaneously?
Personally, I tend to “over-configure” on the basis that if I buy high quality systems not quite at the bleeding edge, but closer to the leading edge, I'll have a system that has a useful lifetime of at least four to five years although Adobe does “allow” its engineering employees' systems to be replaced every three years. I am currently running on a Dell Precision 5400 workstation (current model is 5500) with dual Xeon Quad Core 3ghz processors, 8GB of memory, two 15000rpm SAS (serially attached SCSI) 300GB disk drives, a DVD+/-R burner, gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, and an nVidia Quadro FX 1700 video card driving a Dell 3007WP 30" monitor (2560x1600pixels). I have a very pedestrian Dell keyboard, but a Microsoft 8000 Bluetooth mouse. I do run quite a bit of stuff on this system using it as the hub in my office for running backups of other systems (to a bunch of IEEE1394-attached external drives), running InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop often in parallel, running tests against a development copy of the Adobe PDF Print Engine running on my system, as well as having e-mail and browsers open at all time. This system is running Vista Ultimate SP2 64-bit. This is really overkill for most users.
What you can get away for your users with of course depends on the tasks they will be running per my questions in the second paragraph above. Without those answers, some generalities:
    (1)     Unless you are doing heavy video work, you really don't need more than one processor. A single processor at approximately 2.5 ghz or better with either 2 or 4 cores will do fine in most cases.
    (2)     Memory is relatively cheap and will enhance performance more than almost any other resource you can buy today. In conjunction with that, go for either Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 64-bit (stay away from XP 64-bit like the plague). Why? Even though only Photoshop currently has a 64-bit version that can take advantage of 64-bit processing on its own, the 64-bit OS supports more than 3GB of memory and as such allowing larger amounts of real memory, you avoid the tremendous amount of disk thrashing that goes on as part of virtual memory paging operations when a whole bunch of applications running concurrently are competing for a small amount of real memory. I personally recommend 8 GB of memory in conjunction with Windows 64-bit as a minimum, even on new notebook systems!
    (3)     Disk performance is also key, especially if you are dealing with large data files. As such, 10000rpm Serial ATA or 15000rpm SAS (serially attached SCSI) drives make a tremendous, noticeable difference in performance. However, high performance disks are quite pricey, especially the SAS ones since it is now a limited, specialty market. (For new notebook systems, avoid anything other than 7200rpm drives - the difference in cost for a 5400 versus a 7200rpm drive is quite small now. I just bought a new 500GB 7200rpm drive to update my notebook system - the cost of the drive was less than $150.)
    (4)     You don't need a smoking video card (those things that cost upwards of $500 to $1000) to support the Adobe Creative Suite unless you are doing extensive video work or playing high performance video games in your spare time. Typically, a mid-range video card that supports very high resolution (such as 2560x1600) will be fine. What you don't want, either on a desktop system or a notebook computer, is an “integrated display adapter” that shares memory with the CPU. Typically, such video support appears on low end desktop and/or notebook computers - avoid like the plague!
    (5)     For desktop systems, I'm partial to large, high resolution monitors even though my vision is quite good. I'm dealing with graphic arts and I need/want both high resolution and real estate. Although these 30" 2560x1600 monitors are relatively expensive, with reasonable care, they can last for years. I have one such monitor that is now in its fifth year with no degradation of quality. Cost per day is very low to keep your eyes from going crazy and to make your work more efficient. Once you use one these babies, you can't go back!
    (6)     No preference on motherboards. That decision is generally made for you if you order a system from a major vendor. I personally am not into build-it-yourself systems. Not that I can't build those, but quite frankly, my own time is worth something and my biggest problem is having enough time to do everything I want. I get no particular pleasure in DIY computer building.
More if you give me more specifics about the usage profiles for the systems you will need to purchase.

  • Upgrading from CS3 Web Standard to CS4 Web Premium problems

So I got my CS4 Web Premium upgrade box in the mail yesterday.  I'll be starting a big project in about a week or so and figured I'd do the install and familiarize myself with the enhancements and play with PS, as it has been a while.  Anyway, I drop the first of the install disks into my XP Pro SP3 laptop and off I go.  I enter the serial number for the CS4 which checks good.  Hit next at which point it looks for a previous install of a CS product and does not find one.  No problem, I think to myself, as there is a space to enter the previous version's serial number.  Enter the serial for the previous version (CS3 Web Standard) which results in a no go in resolving the number.  The tool suggests I go back and install the trial version and then deal with the issue with Adobe support.  Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so could you please share your experiences and/or resolution path?

I did my homework on this one and purchased the "Upgrade from Creative Suite 3.x" offering.  The CS3 works like a champ.  When I attempt to do the install of CS4 I get the error message when I enter the CS3 serial number.  Any thoughts, guidance or suggestions are welcomed.  I'm resistant to going the trial version route for fear that I'll not get resolution in time and have my project impacted.  I can probably get by with Fireworks, but PS is preferred and the driving reason for the upgrade.  Thanks!
