Hi There,
I have a computer installed Adobe CS5 suite, while using Flash CS5, sometimes, there will be error message like "Memery cant be read" or "Access error" and then after close the error message, CS5 exit, need to restart it.
I have tried to reinstall the OS and reinstall CS5, it just doesn't work, do guys have any good ideas on this?
Computer Hardware:
HP workstation xw8600
4 core cpu.
4GB memory.
OS: WinXP SP2.
Before install CS5, our company use CS3 and it works well for years.
many thanks!
Hi,
Remove the all the files from
/Volumes/Mac HD1/Adobe Encore Projects/BD/AuthorScriptHDMVSessions/
This will resolve this issue.
This happens if any file corrupted in Volumes/Mac HD1/Adobe Encore Projects/BD/AuthorScriptHDMVSessions/ folder
Thanks,

Any problems with Adobe CS5.5 and the Maverick system?
Has anyone had any problems with Adobe CS5.5 and the new Maverick OS? I don't want to install if there are issues. Thanks!
First thing I would suggest is to upgrade your server OS to a newer version if possible. Secondly try removing the apps out of the allowable apps list and instead change it so that you allow the apps that are within the specific application folder, ex: Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5
I had similar problems with CS5 apps and by adding the apps by allowable folder instead it corrected my problem. Granted, if you have savvy users, there is the potential to open a can of worms here but it was the only way I could get it to work for "standard" non-admin user types. -
Acrobat plug-in.
The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.
Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again.See if you can find a NPPDF32.DLL files in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\)
You can see the installed plugins on the about:plugins page.
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/about%3Aplugins
You can set the pref plugin.expose_full_path to true on the about:config page to see the full path of plugins on the about:plugins page.
It is best not to leave that pref set to true as it exposes that full path to web servers, so reset that pref to false after you are done with the about:plugins page.
You can open about:plugins and about:config via the location bar, like you open a website (about: is a special protocol to access some build-in pages).
If you get a warning when opening the about:config page then you can confirm that you want to continue.

I got the following pop-up when I tried to open an online PDF file:
The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.
Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again.
I tried many time, and it really doesn't work.
The plug-in I have is Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280After I upgraded to Firefox 5, I had the same problem and I did a work around temporarily. I went the tools menu, then Add-ons, then clicked the "Plugins" on the left side (4th one down). I "disabled" both Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280 and Adobe Acrobat 10.1.0.536 using the disable buttons on the right side. PDF files now open again. However they are outside the actual browser.
My guess is that Adobe didn't catch up yet with a new update to work with Firefox or vice versa.
Hope that helps!

Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium Install Errors and Other Issues
Hi,
I just installed Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium on my computer and had some errors pop up at the end of installation. I will paste the summary below. I've tried to install Procction Premium a couple of times. I've used the Adobe Cleaner Tool. From what I've researched, the Flash Issue is a a false error since Flash was already installed on the computer. Is the rest of it connected to the Flash issue as well?
Thr programs all seem to work fine except for the issue below.
My other question is that when I am in Windows Explorer and I Right-Click on say a .jpg file and select Open With... I am not able to select Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator for that matter. I have Dreamweaver CS4 and that shows up as an option. I have gone through the process of trying to add the Adobe Photoshop .exe file, but it still doesn't work. However, if I open Adobe Bridge, I am able to select Photoshop or Illustrator to open a file. Is this connected to my install or is there something else going on? I did uninstall an ancient version of Adobe Photoshop 7.0 that I've had for years, but that was prior to installing Production Premium CS5. Could that have caused an issue? I read that uninstalling an old Photoshop can cause problems like this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe CS5 Uninstall and Reinstall
How do I uninstall Adobe CS5 on one computer and reinstall it on another computer?
Uninstalling should begin with deactivating the older installation before you uninstall. Open one of the applications and under the Help options of the top menubar choose Deactivate. There is no need to uninstall after you deactivate it, but you can. If you have a Windows machine you should be able to uninstall it thru the Control Panel (I don't know what the equivalent is for a Mac)
To reinstall on another machine you can use the discs if you have them. If you originally downloaded the application(s) then you might have a download link to them via your Adobe account online. Otherwise, you can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

Adobe CS5, Chrome and Office 2011 Crashing in Lion, plus video issues
Upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion (in place rather than wiping disk clean).
Adobe InDesign CS5 will start and bring up the main dialog box and crash everytime within a few seconds. Photoshop was also crashing, but it isn't crashing under a new user account. InDesign still is.
I checked the permissions on the library folders, reset the prefs files. It will start up and be useful in safe mode, so I'm looking to isolate the issue.
Microsoft Word (2011) is crashing, but Excel works.
Chrome crashes everytime. Firefox is slow.
System prefs has crashed once.
Text Edit crashes when printing.
Flash video is not playing on anything.
Any thoughts on cause?I found my solution. Wipe it all out and start fresh!
You have to create a startup drive for Lion to do a clean install. Here's a way:
http://www.trickyways.com/2011/07/how-to-make-mac-os-x-lion-10-7-bootable-usb-fl ash-drive/
If you can't locate your Lion installer, open your App Store and Option-click the purchases tab. This will allow you to redownload the installer.
Back up your stuff (or you'll lose your files).
Startup from your new Lion Install disk (restart and hold the option key.)
Use disk utility to wipe out your hard drive (if you've backed it up, of course)
Reinstall Lion.
Reinstall your applications and have fun rebuilding your life!
All of my issues have gone away and I am once again a happy Apple customer. CS5 works, Office works, Flash video works - everything works! -

Installation stops on Disk 2 exactly at 76% . Tried twice and the same case.
CPU goes up to 100% Memory 29%
Tested the Hard disk fine. New 300gb 10krpm Velociraptor.
What is the issue? No errors just installation hangs and freezes the whole system. I had to do a reset the system.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks,
HariI tried installing on my laptop which had Adobe CS4 on Windows 7 64 bit.
The dvds are good. It installed without a glitch. I didn't have to disable services or cleanup anything.
Now i can scrub thru my RED footage so fat it feels like knife on a butter.
But my desktop is still having issues. I cleaned up using CS5 cleanup script. and ran as administrator.
Now i am going to cleanup again and disable all the services and try once more. If it doesn't work, i am calling the support tomorrow.
Thank you Bob and Matt for the suggestions. -
So, this is the first time I'm posting in here and I'm sorry if I mess up or smth.
Anyway, this is what happened:
- Firefox tells me Flash Player 15 is vulnerable
- I update to the newest version
- After the update I run into several things that are highly annoying.
First of all:
- I can't watch any livestreams anymore, neither on picarto nor on twitch. The video keeps loading and buffering, then works for a second or two and then goes back to buffering OR alternatively the video would stop whilst the sound continues or vice versa. (My wifi connection is super fast and I never had any problems until the update)
- On youtube videos only load for a second or two, then the audio vanishes and the video crashes. (Never had that issue before, EVER)
- The audio is incredibly wonky, aka, depending on the bass or sounds I hear static noises and weird sounds. (This only happens on videos that require flash, the sound is fine when playing CDs )
- When watching videos and pausing it or going back a few seconds to rewatch something, the audio suddenly is completely gone.
- Flash player crashes A LOT
EDIT: Another Issue appeared:
- When watchign videos using the Blip player (used by some websites) I get ActionScript errors which then result in crashes
I'm using:
Packard Bell EasyNoteLS
Windows 7 Home Premium
Firefox 34.0.5
Adobe/Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.235
What I've tried to do:
- revert back to an older version of Flash (but it kept telling me to update so I gave up on it)
- Try to enable "hardware accelaration" BUT, when right clicking on the Flash Symbol on Adobe's site FF freezes and tells me that Flash player crashed
- Found out that I already have hardware accelaration enabled and it still keeps crashing
- I deleted all of its local cache
- downloaded and installed the debug version
But none of it helped in the slightest.
I really hope someone can help me fix this OR that adobe soon comes with a patch/update that fixes all these things ;_____;
Thanks for reading and helping!Just to let you know, I don't tend to send all reports but here are a few from within the last week:

https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/a415ab2a-1321-4056-b263-83c212150109
I tend to submit crash reports most of the times lately but yeah--
Also, someting that really bugs me are these Actionscript errors because I can't upload a crash report for those--
(they are more rare now but still happen occasionally)
EDIT: Added photo of one of the Actionscript Errors when trying to play videos using the blip-player -
CS5 transcoding and sync issues
Hi Everyone,
I am a Final Cut Studio editor, very familiar with Compressor and DVD Studio Pro however I am brand new to Encore and am having a few frustrating issues with CS5. I am working on a blu-ray disc project (this is my first experience with Encore). Here are my issues:
1. Why does Encore want to transcode EVERYTHING? I've tried all flavors of H.264 and MPEG-2, yet Encore still wants to transcode it! I've followed Adobe's published PDF guide to compressing for blu-ray in a Final Cut workflow using the recommended Elementary MPEG-2 stream, but no luck. I've even used Adobe Media Encoder CS5, MPEG-2 and H.264 for Blu-ray settings and Encore STILL wants to transcode!!! However, after a ton of experimenting I did finally find an H.264 setting in Apple Compressor thats works, but this leads to my next and even more frustrating issue…
2. Using H.264 for Blu-ray and Dolby Digital Professional 2.0 (AC3) audio, the audio and video in my timelines are grossly out of sync. The audio track appears to be the correct length compared to the master, however the video comes in about 10 seconds short. My hunch is that it is a frame rate issue, however everything appears to be correct on that front, so I am stumped. I've also tried other audio encodings, but the issues remains. Therefore I assume the sync issue is with the video track.
All of my video assets are 1280x720 30p, edited in Final Cut Pro 7 using ProRes 442. Does anybody have any information on an efficient compression workflow for blu-ray or insight on this sync issue (which after searching the forums seems pretty common with Encore).
Greatly appreciated!
Brianbarizzo wrote:

I believe you are right about 720p30 not being legal for blu-ray. I was able to get around this by encoding with 59.94 fps. However I think you are mistaken about h.264. Blu-ray is not limited to just mpeg-2. H.264 is absolutely supported by blu-ray, it was officially adopted into the blu-ray spec about a year after blu-ray was introduced to the mainstream. Only some very early blu-ray players may have trouble playing back h.264 encoded discs. I am NOT talking about AVCHD BD5/9 discs either. I mean BD25 and BD50. If you look in CS5, you will see options to transcode non-compliant video to H.264.
Hi Barizzo,
I never said blu-ray not supports h.264. I know I can author a h264 Blu-ray using Encore. But what I meant was that the Adobe workflow document only describes how to create legal mpeg-2 BD assets using Compressor, NOT h.264.
Btw, It's glad to know that you are successfully completed your project.
Is it really possible to generate legal h264 BD assets using compressor, i didn't know that. I was assuming that Compressor can create h.264 streams but not legal BD h.264 stream.. It would be great if you could share the steps.
