Adobe CS5 Mac update error

I tried to update adobe ill cs5 on mac and it came back with errors that it could not install update and now adobe won't open, the error is that the install database is inconsistant. I've tried with the disk and eery other program opens now accept adobe ill. Any suggestions. The installer wont allow me to uninstall or install now.

Adobe Illustrator CS6 update Error Code U44M1I200

When trying to update the Adobe Illustrator application within the Adobe Updater, I get this error message. Anyone have else this issue? Furthermore, how did you fix this?

CS5 PP Updates Error Code: U43M1D207

I've just installed Creative Suite 5 Production Premium; I've been tearing my hair out since. I've managed to update Photoshop, but with Illustrator I get:

I've searched the forums, but I can't find a solution other than installing each update manually from Adobe - Creative Suite : For Windows

what problem do you have with updating manually?

11.0.0 (Mac) Update Error

I have Acrobat 11.0.0 (Mac) and I keep getting an error message (1537) when I try to check for updates. I am having trouble resettting hte default printer and a blog ost said that this was a bug that was fixed in 11.0.1, but I can't seem to get my update to work.

InDesign CS5.5 - Update Error U44M1P7

Hello,
I've been trying to install Adobe InDesign Update 7.5.3 and it reports error U44M1P7. I've reinstalled InDesign and receive the same error. I've noticed some other Adobe products with the same issue and I've tried all of the solutions to see if it would assist my InDesign problem. I am also getting an error that mentioned InDesign does not recognize InCopy.Bridge.InDesignPlugin.
Upgrading to CS6 is not an option for me at this point.
Any assistance with this would be great.

Adobe Application Manager Update Error U44M1P7

The application manager gives me a error U44M1P7 so I tried updates from the site but now I got a updates could not be applied message . This is for Bridge patch 5.0.2, Flash Pro CS6 update 2, FireworkS CS6 , Can't even Find the new Photoshop update for Creative Cloud Photoshop 13.1.2. This all started when I subscribed to Creative Cloud Photoshop yesterday. Can't even install photoshop 13.0.4 which is what I had before with creative suite.
I have been waiting for 170 minutes now for tech support to return call.

Adobe CS5 Suite 'Updates...' button greyed out

Hi all,
First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section, couldnt see an Adobe Updates section anywhere.
Anyway, I have recently setup an Updates server for the school that I work at, all has gone well, until I today when I tried to test the Update server.
Basically, when I go to Help > Updates... the option is greyed out. Obviously this causes problems becuase I would like to test the update server that I have setup...I have gone to a few computers and all of them have the same symptom. I do remember disabling updates in our group policy deployed version of CS5, so I installed CS5 fresh from the CD source, which has no modifications by me - still no luck, button is still greyed out.
Is there something special I have to do 'activate' the updates button? On a similar note, the software is activated too...thought that may have been the problem, but it activates fine...
I'm sure there is a simple fix for this, but after a lot of google searching, I still have come up with 0 answers.
Appreciate any help on this.

Hi Glen,
I was having this same problem and came across your post. I am running CS5 on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I don't know if the cause of the problem is the same for you, but the way I resolved it was to right-click on the Photoshop CS5 icon and select "Run as Administrator". If I don't do that, the "Updates" link in the Help menu is greyed out.
I'm not sure why this is happening, since my account is a member of the Administrators group.

CS5 Mac - memory error "double free"

I ported out InDesign Plugin from CS4 to CS5 and now I have an error "malloc: *** error for object .....: double free" in the mac version.
I started porting to CS5 with the Windows version, I made a new project file with dollyxs and added all source code files and libraries. I had to make a few changes in the code, but I had a working version for Windows very fast.
After that I copied the source files to the Mac, created a new project for Xcode and added the source files. I can compile and link, but after starting I have this 'double free' error.
I downloaded debug version of InDesign CS5 and now I have a debugger window with a thread list (many function names I don't know). And no idea how to continue.
I have a screenshot of the debugger window here:
The error message is visible in the debugger console. Any ideas what I can do to find the object that causes the error?

I almost hate saying it, cause I really don't care if I get points for solving someone's problem, but I have realized the other benefit of giving these points. As I am searching for other problems with my system it is difficult to follow any advice from previous posts unless I can determine if the problem was solved within the duration of the thread.

none of my serials numbers i was using works any more for Adobe creative suite 5 master collection.. need new numbers asap or im in trouble... can anyone help??? thanks

I'm sorry, but this is a user forum. Have you checked your Adobe account for the serial numbers? Perhaps you have the wrong install files for the numbers you have.
Are you installing from disks, or downloaded files? What have you tried?
More information if we stand a chance of helping. otherwise it's a call to Customer Support

I have the same problem, but I'm on a mac 10.9. I have 2 folders inside the Adobe Patch folder inside the Adobe folder. The items have a bunch of letters and numbers.
I've attempted 2 downloads, each going through almost the whole process and stopping about 90% saying unable to install, fix the problems listed below (there was an error downloading this update, please quit and try again later). When I click on the consumer support for further assistance, it takes me to an Adobe page that says “This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another” . I have CS4 design premium, CS5 design standard, and Acrobat Professional installed.

Adobe updater, error downloading CS5 Master updates

I am trying to update CS5 Master through the updater but I always get an error, "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." for all of the available updates in Adobe Updater. All my CS5 applications work but I cannot update them.
System specs:
Mac OS X 10.10.3 (2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, Intel Iris Graphics)
CS5 Master Suite (Photoshop ver 12.0 x64 as an example)

It looks like that worked. However a few notes to first time manual updaters using OS X.
Make sure Adobe Application Manager is closed prior to opening the .dmg file.
Premiere Pro and After Effects need a step-upgrade for each release (10.1, then 10.2, etc.; you cannot go from version 10.0 to 10.2)
Pixel Bender Toolkit 2.5 is not listed on www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html it can be found at Pixel Bender Developer Center archive | Adobe Developer Connection
Premiere Pro 5.0.4 for electronic download is not listed on www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html for OS X, but it is only for machines that have an ATI graphics card.

There are known technical issues with any older version on Yosemite, even CS6. Some can be worked out, others may not be relevant to you, some will remain unsolved.

Error when attempting to update Adobe CS5 Master Collection via Adobe Application Manager

I have a copy of Adobe CS5 Master Collection running on OS X Yosemite.
For the last few weeks, anytime that I'm prompted to update CS5, I allow it but it fails. See the first screenshot below for details. The second screenshot is the error log file.
