Adobe Cs5-missing images from assets-folders.
Hi, can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? I downloaded the trail version of adobe cs5 to learn how to build webpages. I've watched upto video 4 of the class-room modules before I realize that the *Assets-folder, has no pre-loaded pictures in the images file or the flash file?? I downloaded it 2x's but the problem still persists?? what should I do?

Just realized that LR moved the files instead of copying, so they're gone... Going the file recovery path. Thanks for you involvement ManiacJoe!

Locate missing images from different folders?
This is how I screwed:
Made a collection in LR, with original files on external hard drive
Created new folder on internal drive and copied the original files there (within LR) Collection now refers to the files on internal drive.
Accidentally erased the folder on internal drive (from Finder) and emptied Trash
Now LR path refers to the non existing folder on the internal drive. The original files are spread over hundreds of folders based on date on the external drive. Any suggestion on how to make LR locate them will be appreciated.

How to copy images from iphone folders other than camera roll?
Images in these folders are synced to iPhone from different laptop and I need to download them in my laptop. I am able to download and access only those pics which are present in Camera Roll folder.Remaining pics are in different folder and also appearing in Photo Library from all folders.
Same problem is with iPod touch as well.- Via a computer program like PhoneView or Touch Copy

Photoshop CS5 - drag images from web into photoshop issue
Has anyone had this happen or know a solution? Photoshop CS5 at work does this, but the one I bought for home doesn't... weird
When I drag an image from the web directly into Photoshop, the program almost freezes, I can select tools, but cant use them, I can get the handles to display with Free Transform, but then cant scale it. I have to actually close the file, then re-open it to continue working.The exact same thing happens with my photoshop CS5! very irritating! My boyfriends photoshop CS5 works fine and does not have this problem either! HELP!

Ctrl + click on the songs you want to group - then right click and click get info and it will ask you if you want to get info for multiple items click YES then under album name it whatever you want and them songs will be grouped into 1 album.
Mac:
Same procedure but hit SHIFT instead of CTRL.

Adobe CS5 programs have trouble opening folders on external hard drives under 10.10.2
Just upgraded 2 mac's to 10.10.2. One is a late 2013 Mac Pro, the other is a lot-of-the line, BTO iMac 5K. (Processors and Ram are not an issue)
Both InDesign and Illustrator (CS5) are having difficulty opening folders on external hard drives. Mac Pro is connected to a 5GB LaCie d2 via thunderbolt cable, while the 5K is connected to a 2TB WD my book studio for Mac via FW800 with an apple branded Thunderbolt adapter. Both are formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Using the File>open command then drilling down to the selected folder on the Hard Disk drive, the finder sits blank with the spinning beach ball going.
Other local folders open up quickly and populate file lists with no problems.
Some folders on the external drive can be accessed through the File>open finder dialogue however they are folders that contain fewer sub-folders and files.
Update while typing this...
Both Folders that were giving us problems contained a shortcut. Hiding that shortcut inside anouther local folder seems to have cleared up the trick. This is a short term work around and I am wondering if Apple is aware of this issue or if others have found the same problem as I have and if this work around fixes their issues?How long have you been running 10.9?
In my case the external drives go to sleep and have to wake up. Not much to do with Mavericks, just hardware sleeping to save energy. Note that 10.9 is much more energy aware and may put things to sleep more often. That may be a fair trade off

CS5 Missing Images In IE Local Preview

Or if I have made an error I just cannot see.
When previewing template or html pages in IE
it seems to be hit or miss if I see them or not.
All is fine when previewed in Firefox or when published.

You will need to remake those links in the Template file, and then save your template file to update the child pages. (also, is there REALLY a space between "beauty" and "-" in the "beauty-and-the-bath.com" folder? Why is that folder name repeated?

Batch download image from assets?
Is there a way to batch download all of your assets from the creative cloud? I'm only finding a way to download one image at a time and I have 1,900 images.

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. How are you currently getting files from your Creative Cloud account? Do you have the Creative Cloud desktop app running w/ File Sync enabled?
Enabling File Sync should pull your files from the server account to your local machine. I tried finding a pointer to this area quickly but only found tutorials talking about upload and collaboration. If file sync is new to you, let me know and I can grab some screen shots to hopefully make it clearer.

Need help with how to call VB proceedure to open Adobe reader pdf file from differnt folders
Using MS access 9.0.2720 visual basic proceedure to call Adobe reader to open a specific flle from a folder on my c drive.
useing the shell command , shellexecute is not available in the version I'm using.
I can call the Reader with this code: call shell "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" and it will open reader, but
I can't seem to get it to open a specific PDF file, I tried

Import images from multiple folders at once?
I know that Lightroom handles this as expected, but I cannot work out how to get Aperture to import everything within a folder including all of it's subfolders. For example, my photos are organised by Lightroom in folders per day, eg. 2006-10-12. It's getting tedious having to go through every single folder to import, but if I try selecting multiple folders, or the folder that contains these then none of the photos appear. What is the solution?
Try File->Import->Folders as Projects... and in the Pop-up menu you can choose Import Folders as: Projects and Albums or Folders and Projects from the drop down. You can also choose the sub folder structure. You should be able to choose multiple folders and have all the folders and sub folders organized the way you want. Give it a test try before committing a large number.

Trouble importing images from folders
I tired importing photos from one folder and about 300-400 of them weren't imported (out of about 1,000). I deleleted them and tried again. Same thing. On the third try it imported all of them.
My thought was maybe it's going to take more time importing images from my folders than learning to use the program. I can't learn the program if it keeps dropping images. I tried another directory
of about 3,000 images but it only accepted about 300 of them. No matter how many times I tried, it would only import 300 out of the whole batch. These are good jpg files that all my other programs
have no trouble with.Thanks for the response. Just before I read your reply I tried one more time and I caught what I was doing wrong. There was was a checkbox regarding file size. I read it wrong. It looks as though Elements has it checked as a default, and, well, I unchecked it and everything was imported fine. Thanks again.

Is there any way to generate an automated list of missing
images from a project? I'm interested even if a third-party
application is required.
The only way I'm aware of is to open each image folder
individually and scroll down thru the thousand images to look for a
little red X on an image. Inefficient and error-prone for sure.
Is there any better way in this version of RH HTML that I'm
missing?

After recent upgrade, missing images
I allowed the Aperture upgrade to go through. New Aperture upgraded the library. The upgrade was not going through (stuck on step 6), so after searching on the web, I started Aperture with Cmd-Option key. I chose the Rebuild library option and that needed upgrade also, and the upgrade happened.
Now, I cannot see images in projects created over the last two years. The images are in Aperture I can tell - because in Library>Projects I can see all the images. However, if I chose a project in left panel, the project has zero images. If I navigate to Library>Photos, then no photos from last two years can be seen. The search box however shows "showing all" photos - so there does not appear to be an obvious filter on.
All processing, creating of previews, thumbnails, face detection post the library build has happened. Since then I have fixed permissions, repaired library, and again rebuilt library.
The images are definitely there - because I can see the images in the referenced location where I stored them.
Here are some snapshots of what I am facing.
One project in Library>Projects
This one has photos. But this is how I view it in the left panel.
There are other threads with this problem, but I thought that if I elaborate, then maybe some of you can pinpoint the specific problem that I am facing.
Thank you!If rebuilding the database does not work, and you have no backup of the Library from the time before the upgrade, you might try this:
Make a backup of your Aperture Library - an exact copy on disk with enough space.
Look at the projects with missing images and take not of the time these projects have been imported.
Then ctrl-click he Aperture Library package and look inside by selecting "Show Package Contents" - look into the "Masters" folder. Your original image files should be stored there, files away by import date.
Do you see your images inside? If your original images are still there, you now have two options:
Create a new, empty library and import the original masters (for the missing images) from the "Masters" folder into this new Library. After checking if everything is o.k. import this into your other Library.
Or try to manually fix the other library by removing the database files from within the package.

There is one one last desperate method to save some parts of your library that you might try - but that might wreck the library completely, so you need to make sure you have a backup copy before you even think about trying this:

Please check the list yourself and co,mare the necessary CR version with the one your version of Photoshop utilizes.
