Adobe CS5 Updates: Errors Downloading the Updates

I have been trying to update CS5 which is prompting me an error message within the Adobe Application Manager; the error message is "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later". This has happened numerous times now. How do I update my products and get around this error?

I have the same problem, but I'm on a mac 10.9. I have 2 folders inside the Adobe Patch folder inside the Adobe folder. The items have a bunch of letters and numbers.
I've attempted 2 downloads, each going through almost the whole process and stopping about 90% saying unable to install, fix the problems listed below (there was an error downloading this update, please quit and try again later). When I click on the consumer support for further assistance, it takes me to an Adobe page that says “This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another” . I have CS4 design premium, CS5 design standard, and Acrobat Professional installed.

Application Updater - Error downloading the update. Error# 16824

Hi,
Relitivly new to FB 4.5 and Flex. I inherted a Flex project and am now trying to get it to automatically update the application.
I have searched and read many threads that have this error and they all seem to be talking about going from one sdk version to another.
I have only used http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/2.6, no other version.
I got it to check and report a new version by using 2.5 in the update xml, then I hit download and the status bar completes, then I get the error:
There was an error downloading the update. Error# 16824
If I change the update.xml to: <update xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/framework/update/description/2.6"> Which you think would work I get the error:
There was an error checking for the update. Error# 16815
I am lost. Does anybody have a solution for this?

Cannot open PDF downloaded documents. They had no information inside the file. Went to update Acrobat and it tells me I have a mandatory update. Go to install and get this error message. HELP!
Downloaded new owners manual and it contains "no" information, photos, etc.

I have windows 7 and I use firefox for a browser. Don’t know where to find version of Adobe Reader. I downloaded the PDF to my hard drive and then went to open it.

Widget Browser "There was an error downloading the widget, error 2032"

Hello,
I ve a problem with the Adobe Widget Browser! Months ago it works fine and I ve installed some widgets without any trouble, but now I´ve this error: "There was an error downloading the widget, error 2032" already in the widget preview!
I reinstalled the Widget Browser and Adobe Air - without any effect! Has anyone a sollution to fix the problem?

I suggest that you
download the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and save it to disk
right-click on the downloaded installer and select Run as Administrator

Adobe CS5 Master Collection downloaded files extraction error

Every time I download Adobe CS5 Master Collection, it give me this error, "A problem occued while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destinition folder". I've 16.3GB free space in the drive in which I'm extacting this file and I'm logged in as Administrator.. I'm fadup of this... goosh its 4.45 GB.. Please help..

where are you extracting the file?
if you are extracting the file to program files try to change the path like c:\installer

Adobe CS5 Configuration Error 16

Hi,
I am having an issue on my Macs running Adobe CS5 installed via Adobe's default installer with a volume license key. I have local non-adminstrator mobile user accounts that authenticate to open directory. They are non syncing.
On some machines, when a mobile user logs in and tries to run any Adobe app, there is a pop up with CS5 Configuration Error 16. Please reinstall Adobe CS5. I've checked the permissions of the directories listed in http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html#main_AdobeP CD
and they are correct. I've determined that the root cause is a cache.db-journal file that belongs to a different user. If I delete this file (as admin), the problem goes away. What causes this file to exist? What causes it to persist between users? Should I add a login script to delete the cache.db-journal file if it exists?

I finally got everything working, despite the ineffectual help of the Adobe support team. Maybe my solution will be helpful.
I loaded a duplicate of my system saved BEFORE installing the Cloud Manager onto another drive. Then I loaded the Cloud Manager onto my current boot drive and sure enough, got the Error 16. Then I loaded the OLD version of the Adobe PCD file from my duplicate drive. No go. Then I loaded the OLD SLStore file. Still Error 16.
BUT then I replaced the SLCache folder and BINGO! problem gone. I noticed in the folder is another called SLConfigs. I am not sure it is a permissions issue or something that happens to this file when the Cloud Manager updates these files, but by reloading the pre-install version of this foldeer I have fixed the problem. I repeated the fix on another machine. I have now downloaded the CC apps with no issues.

Adobe CS5 trial error

I downloaded the Adobe CS5 trial on an iMac, and tried to move it over to a 13inch MacBook Pro using Snow Leopard. I transferred it using an external hard drive. When I tried to put it on my Mac, it told me configuration error (error:6). Any thoughts as to why I can't get it to work?

It's not possible, plain and simple. Once the licensing system has locked down, only a proper serial number can unlock it and that means you buy the software.

2) find a better connection yourself and download to a usb stick
3) use your current connection and a download manager to download the installation files.
