Adobe CS6, Audio File length, and memory

I recently began having issues with my systems memory while using CS6.

I am currently working on a piece that runs 36 hours. I have it split into one 20 hour file and the remaining 16 hours in another. After loading either file, my system memory usage climbs up to 90% in about a 15 minute span. It hangs there for about a half hour, drops down 21%, and then begins the cycle again. I've run memory tests, disabled every unnecessary program from starting up, updated Windows. Memory appears to be functioning correctly. I'm really at a loss. I can still work in Auditon, but not very efficiently. I have another box with 3.0, and have no issues with these files on that system.
Unless I am missing something, there shouldn't be any issue here. Correct?

I am working with mono, 44.1, 16bit .wav files. I have no issue opening the Audio Files, I have no issue viewing the files in Waveform, I have no issue viewing the files in Spectral. I have an issue with the system memory. There is absolutely nothing I can think of that could be causing the physical memory usage to cycle the way it does.
I seldom use a multitrack session, and such is the case with this project. No multitracking sessions are being used.

I planned to buy Adobe CS6 Master collection ( Students and Teachers Version ) but i have a some confusions.
1) If i bought the software with an adobe reseller ( a boxed product of adobe master collection CS6 - students and teachers edition ) and obtained a serial number with it, will i be able to use the software for more than one year or three years once it is activated ?

There is no serial number in retail boxes of S&T, just a verification code and that needs to be properly registered to obtain a serial number - now. After that you can reinstall and reactivate the stuff until the day the Adobe servers fall apart or run out of electricity or Adobe changes their policies.

Adobe cs6: extracting files, installer detects issues. Using Photoshop, the program crashes quickly.

I'm in the process of downloading Adobe cs6, and when I extract the downloaded files, installer detects a machine restart is pending, but even after restarting the computer, and retrying to extract the files the issue persists. So I tried ignoring the problem, (as that is one of the options) and completing the download, but then when I go ahead and use Photoshop, I only get to use it for less than 20 seconds and the program completely shuts down. I have no clue how to fix this problem.
I've tried unistalling Adobe cs6 and reistalling it multiple times, but no luck.
I've also downloaded the update published by adobe today (11/26/2012) but i still have this problem.
I don't know how to solve this issue, doesn anyone have any suggestions as how to fix it?
i'm using windows 7, and AMD Professional firepro graphics card

Force Adobe CS6 to automatically download and install from AUSST 2.0

We are currently in the process of rolling out Adobe CS6 Master Collection to about 2000+ endpoints. Currently these machines are running CS5 and CS5.5 Master Collections. I have setup and tested an AUSST 2.0 server and created the override files for my computer (running CS6) it detected and downloaded the updates from our update server, but it requires me to run the "Updates..." from inside say Photoshop and once it goes to install the updates, elevate because of the UAC. Our users are not admins and we cannot be having our desktop support running around installing updates on 2000+ machines monthly. This is the reason that the CS6 install was created from AMMEE. So they can have as little touch time as possible. I wanted to see if there was a way to force the CS6 products to update themselves without user or admin interaction.
Currently my AdobeUpdateAdminPrefs.dat is set like this:

Audio file length limitations?

I have been listening to audiobooks that I recorded from cassettes to mp3. If I record and entire side to one file, the resulting length is about 45 minutes, or 25,000 - 28,000KB. My files play fine until about 39 minutes. The file quits and then goes on to the next side. I can stop, index back, and start at 38 minutes in and play the end of the side.
Are there time or file size restrictions?

GB doesn't "have" songs, it opens songs saved on your hard drive, and you delete them just like you delete any other file, you drag it/them to the trash.

Adobe CS6 can I uninstall and reinstall on a different mac even after using up 2 licenses?

I have Adobe CS6 Design & Web Premium on my macbook pro and would like to put it on my iMac too. However i'm worried that if i was to replace my macbook pro I would have to buy a new adobe package again. Is this true?

You can install the software on as many machines as you like. The important tjhing that you need to manage is the activations. You are allowed to have two activations for a single user license. If you have the siioftware working on two machines already, then you have to deactivate one of them in order to free up an activation for the new machine.
Uninstalling does not deactivate the software, so if you uninstall you lose the ability to perform the deactivation.
To deactivate you normally just need to open an application in the suite and choose Help -> Deactivate.

Converting Audio files to and from 44.1 to 48

Where the blazes! is that preferences setting, that converts imported (or dragged and dropped) audio files into the current projects setting?
this is so frustrating, it used to be in the Sample Editor window. Does anyone know where it is?,

In Project Preferences->Media (on the far right) the upper two boxes must be ticked "copy external Audio into project folder" and "convert Sample Rate at import"

After opened test wav file on my audition CS6, audio file looks strange.

Now I'm using Audition CS6 while other my colleges are using CS3.
Even I checked the audio test file is well opened and played on CS3 with 26s total length, but on my CS6 this test file is reduced to 13s(half) and sound is heared faster twice.
As for normal wav. file works well, but it's happened my test wav. file. I think there is automatically converted when opening the file. Converting has some problems on my CS6.

This sounds like an incorrect setting somewhere in the system for the Sample Rate. Could be to do with some settings for your local computer's audio hardware. Alternatively problems opening files a correct sample rate can sometimes be down to problems with the information stored in the .wav file header telling the software what the sample rate should be. What format, bit depth and sample rate id the Test file stored as?

Adobe CS6 audio problem

Hey guys, I'm really new to Adobe, I've been using SonyVegas for a long time now. I thought I'd try out a different program. I really like CS6's interface, it feels really natural. However, I can't use it for what I want to do. I record game footage from my Hauppauge HDPVR and commentate games on Youtube. Whether I save the recording as an .MP4 or .MT2S when I open up a new project in Adobe and import the video it will not drag the audio in with it. It works fine in Vegas, and when I watch the video the sound plays along just fine.
This may be a really no-brainer kind of problem, but I've never had an issue importing anything into Vegas, it just simply knows the video is coupled with audio. Adobe seems to only see there is a video.
If computer specs help rule out hardware incompatibilty I'm using two GTX 670's SLI. 3rd gen i7 processor, and 16gb of ddr3 2333 ram.

Something is going on here because cs6 supports AC3 audio. Can you upload a small test file to yousendit or some other share site, so I can see if it has audio on my system.
I'm thinking something might have gone wrong with your install process. Although please try doing this although this is supposed to only apply to AVCHD media it can't hurt to try.
This solution was originally posted in another thread by a adobe employee, and even though he was talking about AVCHD media it's worth a shot IMO.
1) Quit Premiere. Launch Premiere again. Go to the Help menu and verify that you are activated (towards bottom, should see "Deactivate..." that signifies that you are activated).
2) Go to Preferences > Media > Media Cache Database. Click the "Clean" button. Import your file(s) again and see if you get audio now.
3) If 1 and 2 do not work, then could you please try to uninstall and then install Premiere Pro again.

Copying audio files to SD memory card

I have a 1GB Secure Digital card connected with a card reader. I converted an audio book CD to mp3 files using iPhoto. When I try to copy the mp3 files to the empty SD card, after 75 files and 342 MB, this message appears: "The item cannot be copied because there is not enough free space."
I can fill this card to capacity with JPEG files.

I also have this same problem on multiple SD cards and readers, although there is no such problem when I transfer the files on to the same cards with a Windows PC! I've also noticed that my Powerbook G4 puts an additional file for each audio track that uses no data, but just lists the file name again. It would be GREAT if someone could figure this out!!! Thanks!
