Adobe CS6 Certified expert book

Hey guys, i am currently writing a book and i am posting this to get some feedback. The reason behind the book is, i wanted to prepare for my CS6 cert. exam and i didn't find any place to practice. There are a few places but they are either too expensive(100$ +) or too small(one test for 10$). So i decided to write a book so that people can prepare for these tests. The main features are
1) It's going to be exhastive.(around 750+ questions)
2) It's going to be cheap.(<5$ )
I was wondering if people are going to be interested in books like these. Just pitch in your 2 cents
I am going to give my exam and the book is just a by product of my prep for the exam.

> there are 6 questions about automation to be more precise
I would not count on this. I understand that there is a pool of questions in the exams, and the ones that each person gets varies randomly. (It was like that back when I got my ACE.)
So different users may or may not get the same number of questions on any one area. You really want to be up on everything in the prep guide that Zeno points to.

  • Adobe Classroom Book for Certified Expert?

I have a copy of "Adobe Photoshop CS4 Classroom in a Book". If I learn this book will it provide all the material I need to become a Certified Expert in Photoshop CS4, does it cover the course material completely, or should I look for some other book?
I am already a Certified Associate in Photoshop CS3 and am looking to upgrade my skills. I understand Expert is a lot harder than Associate.

  • How will the Adobe Certified Expert program be managed with the shift to Creative Cloud?

I am presently studying to certify as an Adobe Certified Expert/Adobe Certified Instructor in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. My studying has been based upon the CS6 versions.
How will the ACE program work once we switch to CC? Should I wait for more changes to the program before taking my exams?
    Thank you!

    Hi Dreia, denniR,
We will offer CC exams and keep the existing CS6 exams available while Adobe continues to sell and support our Creative Suite 6 product line. Creative Suite 5 exams will be retired as the new CC offerings are released.
I know there are a lot of questions that will come up as our ACEs begin to work with CC and prep for the new certifications. To coordinate with the CC certifications, the exams will now be based on time periods. Meaning your certification will be valid for a pre-specific length of time and  will be required to recertify to maintain the CC product certifications. We will begin posting the specifics around the timeframes, policies, etc. in advance of the CC exam launches. Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] with questions and comments.
    Thanks,
    Tiffany

  • Adobe Certified Expert Photoshop

I like to pass the Adobe Certified Expert exam for Photoshop. Is it possible to examin in german language?
Kann man die Prüfung zum Adobe Certified Expert auch in deutscher Sprache ablegen?
    Thanks for help!

    Way to go Bill!
jcmwork  we had a very unhappy poster here a while back who had paid a bunch of dollars to take the ACE Photoshop exam, and was angry at what he considered a high percentage of irrelevant questions.  So my ironic quiz above was stretching the point a wee bit, but you could be very proficient indeed, and still fail miserably.
If you want to sell yourself as a Photoshop user, perhaps putting your very best work on Behance would be a good way to go.  It sure would be cheaper.
    Anyway...

I hv instaI hv installed the adobe CS6 collection last year, and i used up 3 quotas of installing as my mlled the adobCS6 collection last year, and i used up 3 quotas of installing as my mac book clean installed few times by apple, because of the crashed issue. What could i do?

    Dennis
You are allowed to install cs6 on two machines of the same platform.
If you have activated the serial number on two machines already, you will need to deactivate one.
In cases where you don't have access to your previous computer, you can ask Adobe Support to help you deactivate.
Have your serial number or Adobe ID ready, and then contact us.

  • Adobe CS6.0 out of memory error on iMac (early 2009)

    Hi:
Adobe CS6.0 Photoshop is returning "Out of Memory (RAM)" errors and is unusable on a lab of iMacs.
The system exceeds Adobe minimum specs (1GB ram).
Our school has a lab of computers with both Adobe CS5.5 and Adobe CS6.0 Master Collection installed on a lab of iMacs (early 2009).
The computers all have 4GB of memory and come with an NVidia GeForce 9400M 256MB video card.
I notice that this video card shares ram with the main system.
CS5.5 runs perfectly well but CS6.0 is not co-operating.
We have updated Photoshop to version 13.04 and have run Apple's Software Update (latest version).
I have looked online and this is a known problem with computers that have Adobe CS5 & 6 installed with Mac OS10.7.x but only on certain video cards.
There are people out there with 32 GB ram having the same problem.
I'm guessing the answer may be to update the video card drivers somehow.
    Your input is greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    ODrew

    Hi ODrew,
I'm shocked you can operate OK with only 4GB of RAM, that certainly wasn't enough for my 2007 iMac to not continually slow down!?
    CS6 Sys requiremnts...
    Mac OS
Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
    Mac OS X v10.6.8, v10.7, or v10.8**
    4GB of RAM (8GB recommended)
4GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
Additional disk space required for preview files and other working files (10GB recommended)
    1280x900 display
7200 RPM hard drive (multiple fast disk drives, preferably RAID 0 configured, recommended)
    OpenGL 2.0–capable system
DVD-ROM drive compatible with dual-layer DVDs (SuperDrive for burning DVDs; Blu-ray burner for creating Blu-ray Disc media)
QuickTime 7.6.6 software required for QuickTime features
Optional: Adobe-certified GPU card for GPU-accelerated performance
And I don't see that Video card supported...
    http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html
I don't think you can upgrade that video card...

  • How to practise on the examples used in SQL Expert book

I need to study for the oracle sql expert exam and I am using the book SQL Expert exam guide by Steve O' Hearn.
Can someone please suggest how to practise on the examples of this book ?

    dfcii wrote:
    Good morning,
IMHO, I would have suggested that one build the schemas and tables they need from scratch. If one is to be an Oracle Certified Expert in SQL, one should be able to do perform those tasks quickly and accurately. I realize that in larger shops, those tasks might be/are deligated to the DBA team, but having worked in both small and large shops, I believe that being an "expert" should include more than the ability to copy source code and run somoene else's sql scripts.
    Thanks,
    Don.
Edited by: dfcii on Jan 9, 2012 6:57 AMI think both viewpoints are valid.
    - In some ways one does not want to spend time dealing with books misprints and typos when really to be able to do the SQL expert exam one should be on top of anyway.
    - In other sense getting ones one test data togther is useful.
..... I possibly remember badly .... but i seem to miss where the scripts mysef (at least initially) and spent some wasted time pumping in a fair bit of data for the earlier examples.

ThanksFirstly there are 2 OCM exams currently (excluding upgrade exam) .....
    ie 10g DBA OCM
    and 11g DBA OCM
The courses you present must be relevant to the exact version you wish to to take.
Please bear in mind any hands on course submitted and accepted as submitted for obtaining DBA OCP cannot also be used for DBA OCM.
I am a little worried that an OCM candidate cannot find the information, though perhaps [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=159#3] does not make it clear. [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=244#5] does make it clear, however this may be too difficult for OCM candidates to find without better links.
