Hi,
I'm trying to install Photoshop CS6 on my new Mac.
After 2% have been installed, I get the error message "CS6 installation error, inconsistency in the installer database."
The error summary file shows exit code 15 and 0 fatal errors/errors/warnings.
I have seen other threads in this forum with the same error and I have tried the suggestions made there but so far, no luck.
My Photoshop CS6 is a downloaded version from the Adobe webpage. Everything works well until the actual installation starts.
These are the actions I have tried:
1. Restart and reinstall
2. Adobe cleaner tool (no result since there was nothing to clean)
3. I have deactivated the software from my old computer
4. Tried to install in safe mode
5. I have been in touch with Adobe support, did not get much support at all. After some time I was told to start a discussion in this forum.

I have tried to follow the instructions on the link you provided. So far I have not succeded though.
I downloaded the latest version of the Adobe Application Manager. But for some reason, when I start the application, the Creative Cloud application starts... I don't know what I am doing wrong in this step. I do not use creative cloud and Photoshop CS6 is not available for installation there, only Photoshop CC.
How do I install the software through Adobe Application Manager and not the installer that was provided with the download of Photoshop CS6?

Adobe CS6 installation is very slow if internet access is blocked

I noticed that our Adobe CS6 installations (using an AAMEE package) were surprisingly slow (as in five hours on a fast machine). I've worked out the cause of the problem, and am posting it here in the hope that it will help someone else experiencing the same issue - also, if anyone from Adobe is reading this, it would be nice to get it fixed, at least for future releases. :-)
The problem is that our machines don't have direct access to web sites on the internet, i.e., port 80 traffic is blocked by the external firewall. I discovered that the CS6 installer was repeatedly attempting to contact various web sites, including crl.verisign.net, presumably in order to validate digital certificates on files in the install package. Each such attempt had to time out before the next was made. Configuring Windows Firewall to block these attempts reduced the install time from five hours to thirty minutes.
On Windows 7, this command can be used to install a firewall rule that will block outgoing port 80 traffic:
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="block www" dir=out action=block protocol=tcp remoteport=80
Once installation is finished, this command will remove the rule:
netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name="block www"

For later versions (Adobe CC and onwards) you need to block port 443 as well as port 80.

Adobe CS6 installer won't download onto my Mac!

I am trying to download Adobe CS6 Creative Suite Standard onto my new MacBook Pro and the installer won't download. It starts downloading and then suddenly stops and won't start again. I'm very frustrated, can anyone help?!

if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

Adobe Air Installation Error

I got a problem with installin Adobe Air. Cant install it in "normal" mods, with "Run as Administrator" and cant install it with the hidden Administrator account. I also tried everything from the Troubleshoot AIR installation guide.
Every time the same message: An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be alowed by your aministrator. Please contact your administrator.

I'm sorry you're running into installation issues with AIR. Microsoft has a utility that can help resolve installation problems. Would you mind giving this a try and let us know how it works for you? When running the Fix it, go through the uninstall process and try to remove Adobe AIR from your system. Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.

Make sure we loged in as admin and then we need to first remove the temp files first then we need to unregister the installer and then we need to register the installer so the steps are....
to delete the temp files we need to hold the windows key+R,
We will get the run window then in the box we need to type the %temp% you will get the new window on that window we need to sellect all the files and then press delete
after this we need to try to install the program.

In the Open box, type "msiexec /unreg" and then press Enter. THAN
Choose Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run.

Adobe CS6 Installs x86 Software On Main Drive

I have a SSD where I only want my OS (Win7) to live on. I want all my other software and files to be on my other hard drives. I've modified my 64-bit and 32-bit default installation directory in my registry (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/how-do-you-cha nge-the-default-installation/73450b25-d794-4f18-9add-75253b893343).
Adobe CS6 comes bundled with software that are installed on both the 64-bit and 32-bit side. The 64-bit gets installed in the folder I specified in the registry but the 32-bit does not. Does anyone have any idea why this is?

You might want to try posting in the same page you linked to so that others there might be able to help you, or at least shed some light on why you are not getting the results you expect, or simply share in your problem. It appears various issues come up from following the information on that page based on the many responses to it indicating it does not work as specified

CS6 Installation error

Hey Im having problems installing a trial version of CS6 on my system. I get a message that states only a select few apps have been installed.
I have a MBP i5, 8gb Ram
I had the full version of CS5.5 previously installed but removed it, I've also used the Adobe Cleaner, and upated Adobe Air. Any ideas whats going wrong?

Looks like your Adobe AIR update was a bit premature. also it looks to me like it's still latching on to an old version of your caps.db, only installing programs which it thinks are not yet installed. I would run the drill again and additionalyl make sure that all components in Library:Application Support:Adobe and the same sub-directories in your user branch are cleaned out properly.

Adobe CS6 Installer Ends

My PC crashed a week ago and required a refresh of the OS. This wiped out all of my installed applications including CS6. Now I attempt to run the CS6 Installer. It runs thru "Initializing Installer" progress bar:
Then disappears with no trace. This is a Dell XPS 8500 running Windows 8 (64-bit). How can I get CS6 installed?

installing windows over a current installation of windows is generally going to cause a mess.
your best bet (at this point) is to use the cs cleaner: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
and then re-installing cs6.

Mac: Adobe Reader Installation error

I get the following error when trying to install Adobe Reader on my Mac (running OS X 10.8.4):
dyld: DYLD_environment variables being ignored because main executable
(/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Install.framework/Resources/runner) is setuid or setgid installer:

Evidently the install process is running afoul of some security issue but I don't know how to work around the problem.

"setuid or setgid installer" errors are ALWAYS permissions related.

Adobe CS6 installation disabled after trial period of CC.

A month ago I installed a trial for Adobe CC.
Now this trial has expired, I can't use my CS6 anymore.
I've tried to reactivate it with my serial number, but I get the alert that this serial number is invalid.

Adobe After Effects Cs6 Installation Error. HELP!

When i do my installation of Adobe After effects cs6, i install as trial version, because i want to see what it is like, and i do everything like everyone says, and then it stops at 2 percent saying Installation Failed and it comes up with these solutions, and i did them all about 5 times and it STILL wont work! SOMEBODY HELP!
And it also saidthis in the error summary:
