Adobe CS6 Perpetual Use, Not CC

Hi,
I am currently using a trial copy of Audition CS6, and I would like to purchase it for perpetual use, but appear unable to do so...? I have used Audition for many years in working at radio stations and so am familiar with it, however this is the first time I've come up against something like this.
I have to say, that purchasing a subscription is not an option for me, I love the program but I need to own it for my business, paying every month forever isn't going to work. So is there a way to license the current product I have a trial of please, with a one off fee?
I feel that this system is killing Audition's use in a professional broadcasting capacity as more and more people are using Pro Tools, and I can't see broadcasters wanting to subscribe to something they previously payed a one off fee for.

Assuming you're in the UK (?) and have an Adobe account, go to http://www.adobe.com/uk/ log in, use the search box to find CS6. On the screen then displayed, under "Creative Suite 6", choose "Buy Now". The list then displayed runs over two pages; the second of these shows AA CS6 @ £329.64 incl VAT.

I have been a user of Adobe since CS1.5, I purchased CS5.5 in 2011, and have been using it happily since, recently i have been having problems with CS5.5 and my update to Mavericks OS, so I thought I should buy CS6, problem is at $49.00 per month the problem is that it works out to almost 4 times the purchase price (Perpetual cost). This business model does not make sense for small users? why did Adobe go down this road? Adobe CS6 sign in not working

Had a user call today with common Adobe sigin in issue; Can't use acrobat, won't open. No lockups, so it's the normal , deactivate/activate solution. Well the sign in page comes up, but continually spins, and tells me I'm not connected to the internet. What's up with Adobe? I had to log on to a server half way around the world to even log into the forums to ask this..

Adobe CS6 Bridge Does not open

I've recenly purchased Adobe Photoshop CS6 which functions OK but subseqently Bridge fails to open and operate.
I've tried the various preferences resetting procedures.
I've tried to download CS6 5.0.1.1 update which fails to install giving an error code:U44M2P7.
I consider it maybe necessary to uninstall and reinstall the entire CS6 program.
Please advise.

The latest version of Bridge CS6 is 5.0.2.4 and it is preferred to use the menu help / update instead of downloading the update itself. But if you need to download the file, check Adobe com / downloads / product trials and inhere choose product updates.
Inhere is a long list of updates, find Bridge and here you find both updates 5.0.1. and 5.0.2 for download.

Adobe CS6 Project will not load

Project will stick on loading screen. Yesterday morning the project ballooned in file size. I have auto saves that go from 625MB to 1.17GB. It is just the one project other projects open fine. Since I worked on it a long time yesterday I don't have any auto save backups that are smaller. I noticed two days ago it was around 250MB, but everything have been running great, it just won't open today.

Please try to create a new project and try importing the od into this new one. You can also try importing just your main sequence and check.

My license for Adobe CS6 suddenly does not function anymore, I get the message "license expired"
Re-activation with the proper license does not work.
I can also not de-activate the SW

"Unfortunately, Adobe has dropped the CS6 keys that were issued to students and are no longer valid. This is Adobe's product and is beyond our control. If your Adobe CS6 key has expired, there is simply no further support that we can provide. We’ve received no information on any fix or replacements"
After my school pretty much gave up on helping me after not trying. I contacted adobe Via Twitter.

Adobe CS6 installation is very slow if internet access is blocked

I noticed that our Adobe CS6 installations (using an AAMEE package) were surprisingly slow (as in five hours on a fast machine). I've worked out the cause of the problem, and am posting it here in the hope that it will help someone else experiencing the same issue - also, if anyone from Adobe is reading this, it would be nice to get it fixed, at least for future releases. :-)
The problem is that our machines don't have direct access to web sites on the internet, i.e., port 80 traffic is blocked by the external firewall. I discovered that the CS6 installer was repeatedly attempting to contact various web sites, including crl.verisign.net, presumably in order to validate digital certificates on files in the install package. Each such attempt had to time out before the next was made. Configuring Windows Firewall to block these attempts reduced the install time from five hours to thirty minutes.
On Windows 7, this command can be used to install a firewall rule that will block outgoing port 80 traffic:
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="block www" dir=out action=block protocol=tcp remoteport=80
Once installation is finished, this command will remove the rule:
netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name="block www"

For later versions (Adobe CC and onwards) you need to block port 443 as well as port 80.

Adobe Flash Professional CS6, cant use spell checker, missing or not there

I am trying to use spell checker on Adobe Flash CS6, everywhere I look for help is very minimal. Most places just say click Text > then Check Spelling but I can't see this anywhere, I have found these instructions under Adobe CS6's Help but the Help on Adobe's website was brief an unhelpful.
I am unsure what is wrong mainly because of the minimal help I found on-line but as I said Check Spelling is not under Text and nowhere else as far as I can tell. Any advice would be helpful, I seem to remember having to add a Spell Check Dictionary manually on much older versions of Macromedia Flash is this the case here? If so why is it so hard to find help on this matter?

Thanks for the response but you have just told me the only piece of information I can find about this - its under Text. But like I said it isn't there, there's nothing to do with spelling at all within my Flash programme anywhere. I am using it on Windows 7 64-bit using Adobe Creative cloud on Adobe Flash Professional CS6 - Version 13.1.0.226

PSE 10 and Adobe CS6: When running silent install help is not working afterwards

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum. If not: Please help me find the correct one.
I have a big issue with Adobe CS6 (and former versions like Photoshop Elements 10): When installing it from DVD running GUI everything is working fine afterwards. If I install e.g. Photoshop Elements 10 using "Silent Installation" help is not working afterwards. It states that it cannot locate the URL. I have not installed AIR and also do not plan to install it.
I have 'played' a little around with Common Files\Adobe\helpcfg and help directory. Now at least I do not get an error message but still it's not the online help which opens in the browser but the web page that is defined as 'home'.
The same I see now in Adobe CS6. I have e.g. packaged After Effects and Illustrator and when deploying it I'm not able to open help as well and I fear that this is the same issue.
Has anyone deeper knowledge about how "helpcfg" is working? Any example files? Any other help appreciated as well.

@hannilator Have you checked the exceptions folder contents for instructions on how to push to logged off computers? Here's what I get when I package CS6 (DesignWebPrem) and excude AIR/CHC:
After you have deployed the package, separately install the products in the exception folder.
IMPORTANT: Before you install the products in the exception folder, refer to the following Adobe Knowledgebase article for information on installing these products and configuring the settings correctly:

NOTE: The installation commands provided below will work when the user is logged in to the client machine where the package is being deployed. For the scenario where the user is not logged in, prefix the following string to the command:

you will be ok updating to the new software but there will be some trade off. i have 3 macbooks 2006 that are all running the latest versions.
some of the trade off are
1-2 less of battery life
slow wake ups from sleep
slower start up time about 30-40 seconds longer then what you have now
the operating system will use high % of your processer while idealing
these are not the things you want to hear about a new os compared to the old one but this is how it is even with a new macbook pro. but it's not the end of the world. just make sure you have at least more then 2GB of ram and have a good harddrive and you will be ok.

ID CS6 Form Submit not working in Adobe Reader

I'm having ongoing frustrations with the ID Cs6 Forms. The interactive form Submit button works on my machine's Adobe Acrobat Pro, but not on machines using Adobe Reader (I've given up on it working in Apple Preview). It has worked on one other mac machine, again it was Adobe Acrobat pro 9.1.1. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance: Justin

Adobe CS6 Applications not opening after installation via AAMEE

I setup AAMEE with the desired CS6 apps, disabled updates, installed the AAMEE package on the master image then deployed it out to several Mac labs. Most of the clients are fine but on some, when I try to open Photoshop or Illustrator, etc., the icon appears in the dock along with the Adobe Application Manager icon. Both icons appear and disappear simultaniously, and theres no way to force quit anything. Does anyone know how to fix this? Please help, the labs need to be CS6 ready by this Friday..
Here is the error log I get, and it keeps repeating:
"1/9/13 10:51:49.290 PM PDApp: CFURLCreateWithString was passed this invalid URL string: '/System/Library/Frameworks/' (a file system path instead of an URL string). The URL created will not work with most file URL functions. CFURLCreateWithFileSystemPath or CFURLCreateWithFileSystemPathRelativeToBase should be used instead."

Having the same problems here too. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason for this either. First, this was happening only on a couple of my Macs, now it seems to be affecting over 50% of them on campus.
I am wondering if there was a bug in a recent Adobe CS6 update that I may have pushed out when using RUM.

Working w/adobe cs6 - it now won't update adobe acrobat. Adobe found that I am not registered in a sudoer file and said that I had to call Apple. They said I should submit it to this forum.

I have installed Adobe cs6. After doing so, Adobe Acrobat will not update. I have been trying to solve this problem with Adobe now for 3 months. Today they say they discovered that I was not in a file named "sudoers file." They told me they could not solve that but that I had to call Apple for a solution. I called Apple and they told me that they could do nothing about it (I'm still not sure whether or not they even admitted that it is one of their files). They suggested coming to this forum for a solution.

Their latest is that my file is not registered in sudoers, whatever that is
There are two files named sudoer.vim on my drive (each in a different folder). They're text files. Both are very well hidden and the contents of either would mean little to anyone not versed in terms used in the text. What Adobe could possibly mean by "your name not being in the file" is anyone's guess. My actual name or user account name isn't in any of the files, either, and my apps work just fine.
There is another text file named sudoers (no file extension) that appears to be a list of who has sudo privileges. But again, it's well hidden, requires an admin password just to open it, and means nothing without knowing what to modify, or how without ruining the file.
Which kind of leads back to this:
"Adobe Acrobat application was modified."
Have you run Monolingual or other utility that removes foreign languages from the drive? If so, you can't let it touch certain apps (like anything from Adobe) or you will run into problems like this. Usually, Acrobat won't even launch if pieces of it have been removed, even if those pieces are completely unimportant.
If nothing else, just reinstall Acrobat from the original disk or downloaded .dmg purchase.

Yes, I can open the DPS portal via the Folio Builder panel within InDesign. Although I have created Folios locally within InDesign CS6, the DPS portal is empty and everthing greyed out with just the text "There are no folios to display. Create folios with the folio builder in InDesign".
If I try to sign in within the Folio Builder panel in InDesign, I get the error message [IMS_ERROR_FAILURE] . In addition I am also not able to access the "Help" menu from within InDesign although I am connected to the internet.
To complicate it even further, I am working in the UK whereas all internet control (firewall) and licences are handeled by head office in Germany. I am not sure if this is a firwewall issue or not but if the IT department in Germany could get support from Adobe to understand the access requirements, this may help.
Hopefully using the forum someone out there will know the answer.
