Adobe Deployment Toolkit error -1

I'm having a horrible time trying to install CS4 via ARD and the adobe deployment toolkit. I am getting error -1 back, and the following is in the log:

It looks to me that sending the error code "noerr" back is causing some problem (why a successful mount would return an error code that says no error completely confuses me).   Not only that, but it leaves it mounted, and if you try again, it will create more mount points that need to be manually unmounted and paths deleted.
Anyone know a fix for this?

Adobe Deployment Toolkit - premiere pro CS4 with sms 2003

Hi I have followed all the Adobe Deployment Toolkit instructions and
the AdobeUberInstaller.exe will run in a command line mode fine , but
can't get it work in sms 2003.I have the program path as suggested \AdobeUberInstaller.exe but I see an error exit code of 1 on the failed install ie failed to parse command line.
Any ideas, or anyone had success with this depolyment?

I have only 12 GB. There is however a sound reason for that amount and not 24 or even more. A PC is only as good as it's weakest link. Usually that are the mechanical parts, meaning disks. And there is always a budget limitation. And there is availability of parts.
With all these restrictions, only 6 DIMM slots, and the limited choice of DDR3-10600 sticks in anything other than 2 GB sticks (just looking today I was not able to find any 4 GB sticks, apart from Kingston Value RAM in ECC edition with CL9 at triple the price of 2 GB), I considered it better to invest in disks than a long search for very expensive memory sticks.
These considerations make that the most logical amount of memory today is 12 GB and not 24 or more, at least on mobo's with only 6 DIMM slots.
Would Adobe use more than 12 GB, even up to xx GB, well I don't know, but the diminishing returns of the extra memory at very high prices make it more logical and economical to invest in a good disk setup.

I only have Java Deployment Toolkit plugin 7.0.110.21 listed and enabled, and not Java Platform SE.

hello, in some instances firefox may not be able to detect that the java plugin is installed, because oracle made an error in registering the java plugin for mozilla-based browsers in version 7u10 & 7u11... this will apparently just be fixed with its 7u13 release.

Adobe illustrator installation errors.

I've been trying to install Illustrator CS5 trial for about a week now and this always comes up. I've been reading the other disscussions about this problem but none of them have helped. If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Installer seems to be failing to install 'Microsoft_VC90_ATL_x86.msi'. So in the installer lookup for this file at following path and double click to install it explicitly -
'payloads\Microsoft_VC90_ATL_x86\Microsoft_VC90_ATL_x86.msi'
If it prompts for the path point to itself (i.e. Microsoft_VC90_ATL_x86.msi). It would get installed successfully.
Now re-run the full installer.

Adobe Reader 109 Error (In a Domain Environment)

Hello,
I am experiencing the Adobe reader 109 Error while trying to access certain PDF's that are shared over a Windows Server 2012 domain. Only some of the multiple PDF's will experience this error and it seems to happen intermittently. I've done some research and have found a few things I could try but most of these seem to be if you are trying to download the PDF from a email or something of that nature. My current fix for this is to simply copy and paste the PDF from the shared folder to the local desktop, open the file, close the file, delete it from the local desktop and then re-open the file from the shared folder. As I said the only thing I found that I could try is solution 1 in the link below. Does anyone have any other ideas that might work? I will supply feedback once I've tried solution 1 in the step below.

Great news today about Mac OS having full JRE 7 and JavaFX 2.2 support (though still no offer to download at java.com).
Does anyone know if it is yet possible to have a JNLP (or Deployment Toolkit invocation) that will auto-download Java 7 + JFX 2.2? If so, please share a sample JNLP or JavaScript.
I current have this in my JNLP (but it is not happy if I change it to 1.7+):

Currently there is no auto-download support for MacOS yet. (windows only for now)
But Deployment Toolkit (DT) script should auto-detect and re-direct user to manual download if needed. The script is designed to work on all supported platform.

Also, using 1.7+ in your JNLP should work. What is the error you receive when you use 1.7+ ? Does the machine have 7u6 installed ?

CS4 Deployment Toolkit, Flash Pro wrong serial number

Im using the CS4 Deployment toolkit to create the unnattend install files for Flash Pro CS4. I have copied the contents of the DVD upto a network share. After typing in the serial number when asked, i get a red X to say that it is incorrect. However, if I install Flash Pro CS4 off the DVD itself the serial number is correct.
I have not had this problem with any of the other CS4 products that I have done so far.
Any ideas as to why?

That error can happen for many reasons...one of the reasons that I occassionaly get it is because I try exporting a movie to an external drive that has been formated in the old FAT32 instead of the NTSF standard. FAT32 only allows for file sizes up to 2 gigs. And as soon as it reaches that...I would get that error. I don't know if that is why you are getting that error...but it would be easy to check. 1) are you generating a file that is over 2 gigs? 2) is your drive that you are exporting to FAT 32 (just right click the drive in My Computer and select "properties" then just look for what it says next to "file system".

I'm trying to utilize Prelude to actually TRANSCODE some R3D material. Since R3D clips are spanned, Prelude can 'reassemble' them. (I don't understand why AME can't do this since Prelude uses AME... but...)
I get this error when trying to start the transcode in Prelude... any help out there?

Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is.

Adobe Overdrive console error message?

I've been using Adobe Overdrive console to download and read library books on my Velocity Cruz tablet. The last 2 books I have checked out will not download from the library website. When I click on Download, it looks like it is starting to download but then I get an error message from the OVERDRIVE MEDIA CONSOLE that says " Error contacting Adobe License Service (error code 1069).
I currently have 3 other books downloaded from the library website that are working just fine.
I have tried restarting my tablet and updating the Overdrive. Please help! I don't want my books to expire before I get a chance to read them.
I have searched through numerous threads here and been unable to find the answer, I apologize if it is here somewhere but I'm SO very frustrated after searching for answers for the past 4 hours!

I downloaded Blue Fire Reader and it requested an adobe id. I clicked on the link that was in the error message stated http//adeactivateadobe.com. Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

Adobe Print Form Error - Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized

Hi, I've just configured ADS on Netweaver 2004s. I've run through the config guide and everything works ok including the form generation test report FP_TEST_00 which outputs PDF without issue. I have two problems:
-When I run a "test connection" on the RFC destination 'ADS' using the ADSUSER for the login details, I get a 403 not authorized error. Changing this user to J2EE_ADMIN resolves the issue and I get a 302 redirect. I've tried adding other permissions to the ADSUSER without any luck.
-Running a report on the Portal under e.g. Executive Reporting and attempting to just right-click and hit "Print Version" results in a 401 error for request "http://hostXX:portXX/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document" exactly as per this thread: Re: Adobe Form Creation Error - Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. However, I've double-checked all user details in Visual Administrator (ADS_AGENT) and on the ABAP stack side in su01 and sm59. I also tried changing the users to dialog with no effect. If I go directly to that URL and log in with ADSUSER I get a 403 not authorised error (using J2EE_ADMIN is again successful). I've noticed that in the http access log the HTTP protocol used is 1.1 when using the web browser and 1.0 when using the sm59 connection test. I've heard of problems with using HTTP/1.1, but when I change the options on IE8 to use HTTP/1.0, it changes for all other requests except the request for "http://hostXX:portXX/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document", which is still submitted as HTTP/1.1. Conversely, in sm59 if I specify that it should use HTTP/1.1 under Special Options, I can see from the access log that it is in fact still using HTTP/1.0. Could this be related to the 401 error code that I'm seeing?

I think I've ruled out the HTTP protocol version as being an issue here. However I may have found more useful information on the actual issue.
In the security log under usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\system I see a different message for the unsuccessful report PDF generation attempt to that of a direct query to the same URL with the same web browser, as below. The unsuccessful attempt appears to forget the ADSUSER credentials and resort to the default J2EE_GUEST which has no authorisations and therefore fails. The direct query doesn't lose the ADSUSER credentials and I think this is because it prompts for the user/password when needed. Does anyone know why this happens for a direct query to this URL but not for the PDF generation attempt?

App-V 5.0 SP2 (Office Deployment Toolkit) - Unable to create Project and Visio with different package ID

We would like to create 2 App-V packages with the
Office Deployment Tool
- Visio Std 2013
- Project Std 2013.
The App-V packages are created successfully, the problem is that the package-id of both packages is the same.
When we deploy for example, Visio to a client and afterwards Project, Visio gets replaced in App-V by Project.
Is anyone else facing this issue ?

So I wanted to bring everybody up to speed on some changes. You can manage multiple Office packages by generating different PACKAGEGUID attributes (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219426.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396)
using the Office Deployment Toolkit BUT - the following still applies:
Only one Office package can be deployed to a machine at a time.
Only VL and Subscription Pro options are available for packaging via App-V.

Steve is there any chance this stance may change, or is there any feedback we can give (we have already followed up with our TAM and have also put in tickets but effectively have not gone anywhere other then to explain what the model of support is)?
To be perfectly honest its a very hard model to support since users are licenses for Visio and Project separately, not to mention the lack of user publishing (targeting) and Office Standard support.
We have put in advisory and problem tickets with MS for months in hopes of using the ODT packages in our non persistent VDI environment but I don't believe it will possible.
In short if we have to separate our images or pools to support the various possibilities we are losing what App-V gains us: on demand (per user) publishing to limit the number of gold images we need.
The loss of Office Standard support also leaves us in a tricky spot, because at the end of the day we have to find a way to support those users.
Not looking to put you on the spot, just hoping there is a way to give effective feedback or discuss how to use the ODT packages in a way that makes life easier, not more restrictive.
