Adobe Designer - Interactive form/template (visible but don't print messges

Hello,
I'm making a interactive form or template with Adobe Designer, in which I have one object field and a few text fields.
What I need to do is add messages on those fields so the person using the interactive form/template can know what to input in each field and were the fields are since they don't have border or background. For example I need to have a message like this: "click here to add your logo" in the object field, those messages can't be printed since they are just instrucctions for the person using the form/template.
I tried the Tooltip but since the fields can have border people won't know were the fields are and the Tooltip only works when you place the cursor on the field.
Any suggestions?

The input parameters you are seeing in a 'Web Dynpro like' form are more than likely input parameters to the process. Process input parameters come from action input parameters in process blocks and actions that are not mapped. Given that, it sounds like you have not mapped all the input parameters for one or more of your actions in your process. By default, GP provides the process initiator the ability to specify the values of these inputs when a process is started. To avoid this you can either,
1. Map all the input parameters.
2. Specify the process to start automatically under the 'Instantiation' tab for the process template. By selecting this, input parameters are ignored and their default values used.
3. Don't expose these parameters if they are not required or applicable to your process. This can be done at the action or block level under the 'Parameters' tab.

Form is filled on iPad then emailed. If form is opened with Adobe Reader all text is visible, but if opened with Acrobat XI no text is visible.

That suggestion makes sense and likely works, but only if the user is on a machine that will allow them to use Reader. I'm sending this out to a lot of teachers, who are using machines either at school, or are school-issued machines, and they don't have the admin privileges to install software-- even Reader.
so my problem is, if they are stuck on a machine without Reader, and without the possibility of having Reader... it's just not going to work because Preview can't handle these functions.
And, since that is not an acceptable answer with what I'm trying to do... I will find another way to create/submit forms. I think there are some online possibilities I will have to make work.

Error during activation of adobe non-interactive form

Hello everyone,
I am trying to activate a non-interactive adobe form and am getting the below error:-
"Field p_lifnr has a conversion routine(see SAP note 796755)".
I have made sure that this field (which is corresponding to LFA1-lifnr) has context binding, I even tried using below code in its interface:-
GET PARAMETER ID 'LIF' FIELD p_lifnr.
and also tried the below:-
CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT'
        EXPORTING
          input = p_lifnr
        IMPORTING
          output = p_lifnr.
just in case..
but all above in vain,can someone let me know what might be the problem....or where would I find this 'SAP note 796755' ?

Why i cann't change the element's size when design interactive form?

it's in the design time when i do exercise of the interactive form
I can drag a Circle from the Library-Standard to the Body Pages
I can choose the Circle and change it's place
but i cann't resize it anymore, larger or smaller
the same situation with all the other element(Line, Image....)
what's the matter?

Where the Adobe Designer PDF Form "Default Locale" read from?

I am designing PDF form using Adobe Designer. I have set the "Default Locale" in the Edit -> Form Properties. I have set the Display Pattern of numeric field to ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZ9.99. Based on locale, Adobe should format the numeric field accordingly. So where exactly the Adobe Designer read the locale and the number format? From SAP table, Adobe server OS, PC OS or from where? Because I need to check the locale setting ZZZ,ZZZ,ZZ9.99, ZZZ.ZZZ.ZZ9,99 and so on.

Exporting a PDF so that non-printing objects show but don't print?

I've just spent a couple hours trying to find an answer to this in the forums, but can't. (The most frustrating was one thread where the original poster said, "I found the answer here," and gave a link that went right back to the main page of the forum. Argh.)
Okay, anyway ... what I need to do?
I've got a document with graphics that I want to show up on the pdf when I export it, but that--if a reader prints it--don't print.
The document looks like a 3-ring binder with "tabs" for each section--just like the real thing. But the rings and tabs go right up to the edge and look terrible when printed, and whose printer can print right at the edge of the paper, anyway? But the tabs work as navigational links while looking a the pdf, and the rings just make it look cool, so I WANT them in the pdf.
I've tried:
Turning the entire layer into a non-printing layer (one that "shows" but does not "print"). But when I export it to a pdf, it doesn't show up on the pdf to look at OR to print. So that doesn't work.
Using the Attribute option to turn each object into a non-printing object, but so far as I can tell, that doesn't do a thing, because they still print from the pdf.
Exporting with the "create pdf layers" turned on and off. Exporting with the "include non-printing items" turned on and off.
Basically, I've pretty much tried everything. I gather, from browsing the forums, that this is POSSIBLE, but can't for the life of me figure out what to do to make it happen. (Short of hiding the tabs' layer and creating an entirely separate PDF and calling it "Print version" which is not exactly what I want to do!)
Is there maybe some magical combination of ons and offs I need to select to make this whole thing work?
(And, seriously, am I the only person who thinks the supporting documentation is just dreadful? I can't find anything in any of the Help screens that even mentions this, much less explains how to do it.)

Partial progress...
The button option (and, I'm using CS3, by the way--I should have said that originally) does work in terms of showing on the pdf but not printing.
The problem is that it messes up the way the document looks.
I said it's designed to look like a 3-ring binder with tab-dividers between each section, and each tab has a hyperlink to take you to that section.
Now, when you've got a paper binder in front of you, the tabs stay in the same sequence, and often overlap a bit (which mine do). The problem I'm having, having turned all of them into buttons, is that when you click on any of them, it "jumps" to the front of the row, so that they don't "flow" in the correct sequence.
Am I explaining this well? You know, the top-most tab is at the top of the pile, the next one is always below it and above the third one, and so on ... you never see the second tab on TOP of the first one. I'm trying to get the document to act as close to a hard-copy binder as I can, and it did ... except the buttons keep jostling each other for attention...
I'm going to go play around with this some more now, but ... any suggestions? (Other than restructuring my tabs so that they don't overlap at all?)

Error:Invalid enumerated value: Open in Adobe Offline Interactive Form

Scenario is:
There is a form which is editable having two buttons i,e. OK and Cancel. On pressing of OK button,i am getting this error. On button click event FormCalc language, i am mapping the user input data to other form data and hidding the form.
Anybody is having idea why this error is coming up.

Not sure but you can check the following:
By default, Windows Vista enables increased HTTPS Security in Internet Explorer 7 through certificate revocation checking. Windows Vista checks for certificate revocation to determine whether the presented certificate remains valid. The increased security may cause the HTTPS client certificate authentication certificate for LiveCycle Designer ES to fail. To disable the certificate revocation checking, go to the Advanced tab of the Internet Control Panel and, in the Security section, deselect the Check For Server Certificate Revocation option.
if you are using 8.1 version then Adobe LiveCylce Designer 8.1 now supports Microsoft Windows Vista.

Export data to adobe non interactive form

I have not worked with Adobe Forms so I am not sure if this is feasible. If I had to populate a Web Dynpro form with data from a VC form I would have an action which would invoke the URL of the Web Dynpro application. This URL would have appended to it the field name and values as entered in the VC form. In the Web Dynpro component I would retrieve all the parameter values being passed through the URL and then set these values into the context. If the context is bound to a form, the data will automatically be displayed.

Interactive Report column visible but cannot filter

I have a complex interactive report running on Oracle 10gR1 using Apex 3.1
When I display the report, all the desired columns are visible. However, when I try to do a filter on a particular column it does not appear in the column filter list even though it is visible in the Select Column list. All the other report columns are available in the filter list.
The specific column is the result of a join and a substitution within the SQL select. The problem column is 'file_nm'. I've bolded the line in the script below.
Any suggestions?

Hide adobe Non interactive form in Initial Display

I have a adobe form under the input field & button in WD application.
Form should be shown only when users hits the Button.
Right now both are shown in intial view.How do we hide adobe form ?

Add a attribute of type WDY_BOOLEAN and bind it to the Adobe UI element.
And do the following in the wddomodifyview.
IF NOT first_time IS INITIAL.
data lo_nd_screen_valid type ref to if_wd_context_node.

navigate from <CONTEXT> to <SCREEN_VALID> via lead selection

Hide buttons from Adobe on Interactive Forms

When the PDF is displayed, I get all the buttons from Adobe on my toolbar. I can only find one option in NWDS where i can hide toolbar, but that hides the whole bar. I want to keep the fileoptions like save, print, search.can anyone help me.

You can also easily add a button yourself for actions like save, print, etc.
for save add the following javascript: app.execMenuItem("SaveAs")
for print: xfa.host.print(1, "0", (xfa.host.numPages -1).toString(), 0, 1, 0, 0, 0);
look in the acrobat javascript scripting reference for more detailed information.
You can also configure your own custom menu through the app object.

When printing a document with form fields certain letters don't print

Hi everyone.
I am from Iceland and we use special letters in our language (i.e.: þ,æ,ö,ð). I have made a pdf file that has form fields in it, but when they have been filled out with our special letters, those letters do not print out correctly.
Here is an example with my name filled out in the form field:
When I print, this is the result:
Can anyone help me with this issue?

Just some thoughts: 1. Be sure the fonts are embedded in the file. 2. Print as a graphic (you may have a printer that does not have the fonts and is not getting the proper results from the computer).

ADOBE AIR for offline applications or Adobe LiveCycle Designer Offline form

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement of recreating the XK01 Customer Master Creation functionality and host it as online application in SAP Netweaver Enterprise Portal. I have done this by creating a Web Dynpro ABAP application and embedding a adobe livecycle designer interactive forms (having same fields as required for Customer Master creation in XK01). In online scenario, the PDF form opens up in browser. In offline scenario, the user can fill up the form and upload the form using UPLOAD button created in the Web Dynpro application. There has been some performance issues like if we have too many dropdown UI elements in the form (having many entries in each), then the form takes too much time to get uploaded.
Can we think of a alternate solution using Adobe AIR desktop application which will enable the user to fill up the form in AIR like User interface. I am new to Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR.
The online scenario perfectly fine with Adobe LiveCycle Designer Forms and SAP ABAP Web Dynpro application. It's offline functionality where its performance hasnt been up to the mark.
Also let me know if Adobe AIR can be used in the offline scenario while ADOBE forms in online scenarion or is it mandatory to have AIR AND FLEX in offline and online scenario respectively.
Please advise.

Can i use Zero Client Installation (ZCI) forms in WebDynpro Java.
I am not using ABAP at all & i want to avoid ACF installation on client side.
I am using :

ACF is supported with all the SPs across the Netweaver 7.0 stack and we will continue to support that except the fact that no further development will happen in that area. ZCI is the future of Interactive Forms solution by SAP.

How to display case sensitive elements in an adobe interactive form

Hi Experts,
I'm not sure if this is the correct section for my problem or if I should post it in Web Dynpro section...
Out of an Web Dynpro Component I'm starting an Adobe Interactive Forms and filling it's elements by Web Dynpro Context Nodes. So long everything's fine.
Now I need to display some elements depending on cases of my Web Dynpro.
In other words for example:
if x = 1 show some elements in my interactive form,
if x = 2 don't show them but show other elements
and so on....
Is there any function in interactive forms to realize that?
I had a similar problem before, depending on Web Dynpro cases different Forms are executed and displayed as shown here

back again, had to handle other issues, sorry.
Just to get a little more concrete. The condition depends on the context node attributes. So if an attribute is initial, it's field should not been shown, if it's not initial, it should ne shown. There are 6 context attributes and therefore 6 fields in the form. How can I get the attributes' value?
And can I put them into the same subform or do I have to create 7 (6 conditions + blank-condition) subforms?
I put the fields (textfield and context node value) that should be shown depending on conditions in a subform. So how can I adress this subform?
I'm not so familiar with JavaScript, so please help me. I need something like:
if (context_node_attribute X is initial) {
subform_1.presence = "hidden" ;
I tried it with
if ( ARB_STUNDEN.rawValue != null) {
Beratungsstunden.presence = "hidden" ;
but it didn't work....
