Adobe documents print out in Martian

We have Adobe Acrobate 8.0.   When we print out a document to our Canon MP620 the English comes out in unintelligible characters and symbols.  So far we have rebooted and called Canon (who said to call Adobe).
Any solutions?
thanks
Zach

Print as Image is a good work around. You can try updating to the latest version of Acrobat 8. What OS are you running?

Check SAP Note 894444 - Tool for server-based printing on Windows (SAPSprint) for your requirement,
      Installation
Before you install SAPSprint, delete SAPLPD manually. To do this, you normally need to completely delete the installation directory only. If you installed SAPLPD as a service using the srvany tool, you can remove the service by calling 'Instsrv SAPLPD remove'.
You can download SAPSprint as a self-extracting executable file from SAP Service Marketplace:
    1. Entry by Application Group (on the left)
    2. SAP Frontend Components (on the right)
    3. SAPSPRINT (on the right)
    4. SAPSPRINT <Release> (on the right)
    5. SAPSPRINT <Release> (on the right)
    6. Win32 (on the right)
Start the program. After you enter the installation path, the system prompts you to enter the TCP/IP port.
Normally, the default setting of 515 is suitable for the port. You should only change this setting if the Windows TCP/IP print service is also running on the computer. The SAPSprint Windows service starts as soon as the installation is over.
We recommend that you set up the following options for the service in the Windows Service Control Manager:
The service should run under a domain user that has the relevant authorizations for the required printers. After the installation, the service runs under "Local system account". This can access locally-defined printers only. You can set the user in the Windows Service Control Manager, in the options of the SAPSprint service.
If you want to delete SAPSprint, you can do so using the normal Windows uninstall tool.
We recommend that you install the SAPSprint service on a separate computer and not together with a SAP system, especially if you use a large number of printers. All printers that SAPSprint uses must be installed on the SAPSprint computer. This applies particularly to released printers from other computers. These should be installed as a queue on the SAPSprint server.
Also note further settings in accordance with Note 1069483.
    Settings
You can display the call parameters available for SAPSprint by calling 'sapsprint -?' on the command line. The most important parameters are those that set options, especially log options for troubleshooting.
You can set the log level to 5 by specifying 'sapsprint -oi LogLevel 5'. Immediately after installation, no log level is set up, which means that no log file is created. By setting the log level to 1, 5, or 9, you can ensure that more information is available in the directory that you specified during the installation. A file called sapsprint.dbg and a print job specific file with a variable name are generated. The second file is deleted after successful printing. It is only retained if the printout is recognized as incorrect. If you set the option 'sapsprint -oi KeepFile 1', then both this file and the print file are retained. This is primarily intended for troubleshooting by SAP Support.
All options are case-sensitive. You can display the most important SAPSprint options by calling 'sapsprint -?'. All possible options are described in Note 85469. Normally, the options described there are not necessary - you should use them only in exceptional circumstances.

I just updated to Mavericks, then updated my Pages App. Now none of my previously created documents print out, except as blank pages, even though I can see the text on the documents, but with altered margins, on my computer screen. How do I fix this so the documents print out normally again?

I do backup with iCloud.  I can't wait until the new iMac is available so that I can once again have my files in more than 1 location without needing to rely solely on the cloud.
I also rely on iTunes and my MacBook and Time Machine as well as backing up to iCloud. I know many users know have gone totally PC free, but I chose to use iCloud merely as my third backup.
I assume that the restore would result in my ability to open Pages and Numbers and fix the problem with deleting apps, but this would also mean that if my Numbers documents still exist solely within the app and are just not on iCloud for some reason that they would be gone forever.  Is that right?
In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

  • GR document print out

    Dear All,
The user does goods receipt and the print does not comes automatically. It happens only in case of non stock items. Though I am not sure if there is any link with it but they have to go to MB02, then go to messages, put output type as WE03(GR Note Vers.3), select medium as Print output. Then only the system sends the document for print. And it is not the case with stock items. The goods receipt document for stock items goes for print automatically at the time of saving it.
What could be the problem here? Or is there any way that the user does not need to put all this data and it comes automatically.
    Please suggest.

  • Billing document Print out

    Dear Gurus,
My client has created invoice of Billing Type ZF2 on 14.12.2010 at 9 A.M. The output Type ZRD2 assigned to it.He claimed that he has taken ZRD2 Output Print on the same day.How to check the output(ZRD2) print time and on which date the output (ZRD2)was printed.
    Regards,
    Varma

    hi pen;
goto VF02 - if it is an header goto header output conditions or if it is item out put select the respective condition types and go to communication method.
there might be 1 - there as per your query
there you will be able to see all the necessary information on output & also you can also check processing log if any process log exists.
    hope this clears your issue.

  • Adobe Document Printing

    Hi,
I am trying to get the ME 15.0 to print using ADS. So far ME is triggering the printing actions but the XMLForm.exe fails.
    Netweaver is 7.4 SP8 on Windows 2012R2.
The system shows the following error message:
Service XMLFormService: Native process (PID=0) C:\usr\sap\<SID>\J00\j2ee\os_libs\adssap\XMLFormService\bin\XMLForm.exe terminated abnormally with error code
Any ideas how to fix this would be great.
    Kind Regards,
    Christoph

    Hi,
the correct solution was in SAP note 1105975 as referenced in Re: System Error:ADS :com.adobe processingException:XMLFM Exception during render Exception
The important thing was to set the OMNIORB_USEHOSTNAME environment variable.

  • Billing document print out problem.

    Hi all,
I print billing document by using transaction VF03 , in this transaction i am able to print only
one billing document at a time.
Is it possible to print multiple billing document from any transaction or through any standard report??

    Hi
I think VF31 transaction code should help you in this regard. If you are printing first time, then select processing mode as 1 and IF you are printing for the second time, then choose 2. Enter output type and other information.

  • Adobe reader 7.0 prints out jibberish text

I printed out 3 documents all of the same type/format except that some of the words were different.
The first document printed out just fine. However, the next two documents printed out and the text was definitely not English and did not look like any other language either. It was just a bunch of jibberish. What would cause this behavior and how can it be prevented?

One likely cause is that the author used fonts that you don't have in your system and he failed to embed them properly.

  • Adobe Reader prints tiny pages

Hi folks.  I don't know if I am in the right forum, but here goes:
I have a MacBook Pro mid-2009 that is running Snow Leopard.  Since I bought the laptop, I have been unable to correctly print pdf files using Adobe Reader.  The document prints out centered on the page but is only roughly 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" instead of the 8x11 it is supposed to be.  The document properties show up as letter sized, I have the Adobe print settings as "Actual size".  The printer is set to 8 x 11 as well.
The problem is only on pdfs on this computer.  Pages documents, websites, etc. all print correctly. I have the same problem on different brand printers.  My other Macs will all print the pdf's correctly, so I know it isn't a printer problem.
The pdf's print correctly if I use Preview, so that makes me think it is an Adobe Reader problem.  I have deleted my Reader and reinstalled but have the same problem.
Does anyone have any ideas?  This is my laptop for work (as opposed to my old net-surfing model), so I really do need to be able to print pdf's.  I have always gotten frustrated trying to troubleshoot this myself and given up and used another computer up to this point, but it is getting to be a nuisance.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Strange, if I set the scale at say 30%, the text is tiny, 100% full size. From your post, it seems you have done all the things you would need to do. I wonder if Adobe has an issue. Attached some screen shots, cause sometimes I'm not clear when typing.
AT 30% whole page was about 2"x2" 100% full page. Strange that it does not change size. I am running Adobe reader 11.0.01, OSX 10.6.8. Best of luck

  • SAPScript Print Out problem

My user has changed a new printer. Then, the printout of first page of each document will go up 1 line and thus not showing in the boxes of preprinted form, but the following pages of SAME document are not affected.
Then BASIS has done something on SPAD > Full admin > Device Type > Format > Printer Initialization. This then caused the first document to be printed two lines down and we have no idea how to push 1 line up this time. We also tried to put Line Feed Command in 'First Page' but layout in eveyr page is gone. Anyone of you encounter this issue and able to resolve it before? Appreciate your help., Thanks.

  • SAPScript print out Margin problem

    Hi Gurus,
I have configured a printer already existing to one of my storage location. When I am taking print out of material document, it is not coming correctly. Text is getting wrapped up on right hand side. But the preview of same material document is showing perfectly in spool result.
I have checked the printer setting, print out is coming correctly for windows.
I am using HPLaserJet Printer. I have maintained in SPAD- > Output attibutes- > Additional SAPscript & Smart Form Information:- Horizontal Move: 3mm , Vertical Shift: 2 mm. There is no page format maintained in tray info.
but in Spool request, under "Print with changed parameters", the format under spool request is " DINA4".
Please guide, if i need to maintain some more settings for the margins.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Scanned document printing too small

    Hi,
I'm using Mac OS X 10.4, Epson 1660 Photo Scanner and Epson TWAIN (via Photoshop). I'm scanning a document for print, yet no matter what dpi I choose, the document prints out very small on my Canon i850 inkjet printer. I've wasted about 10 pages printing out various versions. Any insight!
    Thanks,
    Michelle
PS- if this is the wrong forum for this question and anyone can point me to some good printing/scanning forums on the web, please do so!

Figured it out - missed the "scaling" feature in TWAIN.
