Adobe doesn't save

I usually download a pdf file of an article from a scientific journal (or other sources) using IE8 and then, from the Reader window opened inside IE8, I save it in my PC. In these days when the saving window appears, I chose where to save, and (really quickly) the file is saved. But when I go and look for the file in Documents I can't find it. Using "search" with the name of the file in the entire PC I can only find the link to a temporary file. This happens with Acrobat 5.0 e and Reader 9.2. I tried to print with Distiller (of 5.0) and it seems that the file is printed, but it is not created. Moreover, if I try to save one more time the file in the same position (Documents, for istance) a windows does appear asking me if I want to overwrite the old file! And this does it happen also after rebooting the PC. I unistalled and reinstalled Adobe 5.0 and Reader 9.2 two times but the problems remains, also with Adobe Acrobat 5.0 alone, before installing Reader 9.2

Are you using Windows Vista? If yes, go to the top of the C: drive and search for the file. You'll probably find another Documents folder under roaming or local or an old user id (that you think you changed) with the file. By design, Windows will show you & the app a merged view of folders when viewing via a program but the real locations could be different. It's confusing but it's intentionally designed this way. I had a similar issue with Dreamweaver after I changed my PC's login name. Although I could see files and a path via the application, the files were not there when I tried to the find the files manually w/Explorer. The files were there though but they were under another Documents folder and for whatever reason, Windows would merge the view of the old folder with my currently active folder when I viewed the path via Dreamweaver but the real physical paths were different. Silly Microsoft.

Are you able to print the webpage to 'Adobe PDF' to convert it to pdf.
Which Browser version, OS version and Acrobat version are you using?

Reader doesnˋt save edited files

Hello Community,
Iˋve huge issues with my Adobe Reader.
I always add my class notes directly into the PDF-files. Last semester it has been working perfectly fine.
This semester the Reader doesnˋt save the edited document. Instead it saves other version (_1, _2,...) each time pdf is viewed.
Iˋve already updated the App, reset the tablet as well as reinstalled the App.
How can I solve this issue?

Sorry that this is causing trouble. Actually, the problem has arisen because you opened the file from the "folder" each time with Mobile Link - on. Mobile Link auto uploads your local document to the cloud and shows it in Recents. The best way to use this feature is to open files from Acrobat.com.
I ran your exact steps and found the problem. We will work towards fixing it in our next release. For now, you can follow these steps to recover the changes in your document:
1. The local file in your file manager, "Vertriebsmanagement" should contain all the changes you made to it whenever you opened it from that location. From your email below, it seems you started opening the file from Recents too. Those change would not be in the local file, but step 2 will help you retrieve those changes too.
2. To get rid of the multiple versions of the documents created on the cloud, follow these steps:
Visit files.acrobat.com from a computer/browser.
Login to Acrobat.com account and click on Files.
Click on Recent Files tab.
The files will be sorted by Date Viewed. Open the topmost version of your file. Note that it must have been renamed to "abc (y)". Ensure it has all the changes that you made. It will have the changes that you made when you kept opening the file from local file storage.
Close the file. Select all other versions of this file from the list and delete them. Note that these file versions will begin with the filename and followed by numbers.
Rename the file that you didn't delete to the original file name.
3. Going forward, to use Mobile Link - ensure that after opening a new file from local file storage, it is always opened from Recents on your mobile device. Since the local file was uploaded to the cloud, it is best to always open the cloud file to ensure all your changes are sync'd back to the cloud as well.

Use Adobe Reader to Save Form Data

I use Acrobat 8 Professional to create several forms and enabled usage rights in Adobe Reader so that my users can save the form data locally using Adobe Reader 7 or higher. My questions are: (1.)Is there a limit to saving the form data? For example, the form can only be save 500 times per form or is it unlimited. (2.)If there is a limit to saving the form like 500 times, can the same form be recreated and the limit of 500 starts all over again? (3.)Do I need to purchase a license to save these form data? (4.)How many forms can have enable usage rights in Adobe Reader per Adobe Acrobat professional? The reason why i'm asking these questions is because I want to be in compliance with the Adobe license. My users don't have Adobe Acrobat Professional, but would like to use Adobe Reader to save the form data.

You'd probably be walking on thin ice by trying that. Could be a loophole but maybe not.

Not if you stay within the limit that is stated in the EULA.

Different forms? As far as I know there is no limit to the amount of different forms you use.
In my opinion, if you think you are going to go anywhere near the limitations of the EULA, consult with your attorney before proceeding. The form enabling function was never intended for large business use. Adobe has another, more costly, solution for that.

I recently upgraded from 4S to 5S. There are 2 games that I wish to transfer to the new device. 1st game isn't available in the Store anymore, so can't download. 2nd game doesn't save when you change devices. How do I get those 2 apps to my new phone? Tnx

Edited photo doesn't save to PC (iOS 8)

(iOS 8, iPhone 6) When I use the iPhone Photos app to edit a photo to, for example, remove red-eye and/or use the magic wand tool, then click "Done," it says it saves. I can go back into edit mode with that photo later and it always gives me the option to "Revert" to the original, so it obviously doesn't save the edited photo as a separate image. The problem is, when I transfer an edited photo to my computer (via Lightning cable) it saves the original, unedited photo on the computer. Is this a bug or is it intentionally not saving the edited photo?
Whenever I edit a photo and connect my iPhone to my Windows computer, there is a local disk icon(s) in the DCIM folder along with the original photo(s). Meaning, if I edit three photos, there will also be three local disk icons in there as well. If I revert a photo to its original state, the corresponding local disk icon disappears from the Windows Explorer window.

LR 4.4 uses a large internal colorspace which is ProPhotoRGB with an sRGB gamma curve, so you might want to set your PS RGB workspace to ProPhotoRGB and see if that makes any difference.
What is the nature of the difference you’re seeing between the LR version and the PS-CS6-reimported version? Can we see a screenshot?

I never sign out from these websites but when I open it next time, it requires username & password.

I also found disk erros and reaoired permissiomn and the restarted and did disk utlty again and repaired the same disk errors and then did a restart and still does not remember passwords or ask me. Did all this still no luck it saved apple login on here and saved gmail account but others one it used to save does no longer.here is what i did below and still no luck.

I suggest that you run software update, after which you should have Safari 6.0.5 - then check Safari - Preferences - Privacy & see that 'Block cookies' is not set to Always.
Failing that - switch Safari extensions Off via Safari - Preferences - Extensions & test again

Safari 5.0.2 doesn't save any more google search results in the history.

Safari doesn't save any more google search results in the history.
Steps to reproduce:
1.) go to google.com
2.) search for "APPLE"
3.) open the history
Result: the search for "APPLE" is not saved - only the Google mainpage.
This has something to do with the new search string in the Location bar. Safari does not save URL with /#.
For example:
the new string is http://www.google.de/#hl=...
the old one is: http://www.google.de/search?hl=....
The change must something to do with the new Google-Search-Feature. When I deactivate it, then google works with the old string and I found the searches in the history.
The second negative effect is, when you type "apple" into the location bar (after a search), the autocomplete shows the search result, but when you hit enter, you are redirected to the Google-Mainpage.
Very annoying

PSE 2.0 doesn't save files on a PC with windows Vista with 2Tb HD while possible on a 500 Gb HD

on the same PC I use since 4 years I changed the Hard Dusk, PSE 2.0 can read the files from this 2 Tb HD but it doesn't save any file on it while everythibg was OK using the previous HD of 500 Gb : any suggested setting to solve this problem ?

Unfortunately, this is a problem with old version of PS and PSE. They can't see drives that large.

"OK" button doesn't save parameters in Customization Form

In some portlets of the portal that I am developing, the "OK" button of the customization form doesn't save the portlets parameters. For an effective change in the portlet parameters we must press the "APPLY" button first. This behaviour only happens in some Portlets, in the others, we change the parameters, we press "OK" and that's it. Is it a known problem?

Thanks for your reply. I am using simple Portal Dynamic Pages to generate my portlets. So I don't think that we are in presence of a programming bug. Has you surelly know, the customization forms are not controled by the programmer when you generate a portlet based on a dynamic page with parameters.

[SOLVED] kgpg doesn't save settings

I've a problem with kgpg: It just doesn't save my settings. Everything that I change (e.g. setting a default key or a key which should always be used for encryption) gets lost when I restart kgpg.
If I start kgpg in a terminal and change something I get the following message:
kgpg(14795)/kdecore (KConfigSkeleton) KCoreConfigSkeleton::writeConfig:
That's it. I just found one config file in
~/.kde4/share/config/kgpgrc
And I'm the owner of this file and have full read and write access to it.
Does anybody else have this problem or knows how to fix it?

So small update:
I signed a bug report https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275644 and the KDE team could help me, in fact the file "~/.gnupg/gpg.conf" did not exist here on this machine, I created a blank one and now kgpg can use it to write the config to it and everything works fine.
