Adobe draw send it to illustrator  Fail

I Have Created a file in adobe draw when i send it to illustrator   I get confimation from draw that the event has happened  but  cannot find a file to open in illustrator.
looked in adobe cloud  storage  and  made sure that Ai is open  when i send   am i missing part of the process

The Send-to-Illustrator feature is not dependent on the type of device.
Try double-checking the following:
1) Make sure you have the latest version of Illustrator (v18.1.1) installed.
2) Make sure your "Creative Cloud" app is running on your desktop. If it is, you should see the Creative Cloud icon in your menu bar on the mac and in your taskbar on windows. This is the app that listens for the notifications from the Creative Cloud server and launches Illustrator in response.
3) Make sure that both the Creative Cloud app on your desktop and the Draw app on your iPad are both signed into the same Adobe ID.
4) Make sure that the time on your iPad is in sync with the time on your desktop. The notification from the iPad to the desktop is designed to expire in 24 hours, so if the times vary by more than that, the notification may not come through.
5) Try restarting the Creative Cloud app on your desktop.
Hope that helps,

  • Illustrator can't open the drawings sent from Adobe Draw

When I send my drawing from Adobe Draw to Illustrator, Illustrator says it can't open the file format. Is anyone else having this issue or have a fix for it?

    Hi,
You will need the latest version of Adobe Illustrator 18.1.0 to open Adobe Draw files sent to Illustrator. Older versions of Illustrator do not have the support for this new file format.
    Hope this helps,

  • Will I lose artwork by un-installing, and re-installing Adobe Draw to fix "Send to Illustrator" option?

I believe that re-installing Adobe Draw might help activate the "Send to Illustrator" option on the app, as it not currently showing in my app. Will I lose my layers and artwork if I try to fix this by un-installing and re-installing the app?
I've created a detailed, multi- layered artwork on Draw, while running the trial version of CC Illustrator on my computer. I've since paid for a CC subscription in order to send the file I'm working on to my laptop to finish, but still I have no option to send the layered vector image.

none of the files your create using adobe programs are removed when uninstalling adobe programs.  that said, you should not save production files in the same directory as your installed program files (for adobe or anyone else's programs).

  • Illustrator CC, CS6, Adobe IDeas and Adobe Draw?

moved iPad from Adobe Ideas to AdobeDraw. In Draw, I Fetched Ideas files from my CreativeCloud. Want to get them to my desktop Illustrator CS6. There is no option for this, as it indicates there should be in the tutorial, only Copy to Creative Cloud. Does Draw only work with Illustrator CC? If I download a trial of Illustrator CC will it overwrite CS6? I use hughesnet (dial-up slow) so I don't have great hopes for a cloud app.

In Ideas you can send the ideas files to yourself via mail
    Then open them
In Draw you can send files directly to Illustrator - will only work with the latest CC
The latest CC won't overwrite CS6

  • Illustrator broken by Adobe Draw?

I think this is an Illustrator CC question rather than a "Draw" question, because it is AI that is broken.
For some reason, I drew something in Adobe's mobile app they call "Draw". In Draw there is a button that "sends to Illustrator". I clicked it while watching TV with my kids. Then I forgot all about it, what with kid cartoon entertainment and all.
When I went to bed, I noticed my Drawing was open on my desktop machine -- Draw had not only "sent to Illustrator", it launched Illustrator behind the scenes. Kinda weird. I figured it would Save Drawing As An Illustrator file. Instead it Opens It Now! To which I said, "whatever". I closed it and went to bed.
The next morning, on my other machine, the laptop, I saw that the Illustrator was bouncing in the dock. Hmmm, must be that Drawing trying to open on BOTH CC enabled machines. But clicking AI in the dock led to several errors and a crash. Now AI won't start up at all.
Why does Illustrator hate Adobe Draw after a good night's sleep? How do I get AI to work again?
Here are they interestingly named "CANT" errors.
Mac Pro, Macbook Pro, Adobe CC

I ended up uninstalling/reinstalling Illustrator.  Starting AI up with reset prefs DID remove the prefs file, but the errors continued like in my screenshots above.
I guess I just gotta be careful with their new mobile to desktop flows...

  • Adobe Draw Illustrator?

How do you get Adobe Draw (from iPad) work onto Illustrator on your Mac? I'm on a pre-Cloud version on my Mac.
    Best,
    Kate

    Hi Kate,
The Send to Illustrator/Photoshop feature only works for Adobe Creative Cloud versions. There is a dependency on using your Adobe Creative Cloud account and Creative Cloud desktop software to enable this connection. If you wish to try it out you can do it here: Software and services for creative professionals | Adobe Creative Cloud

    gpu[0].MemoryMB=1722 -> Suffisant

  • Layer Naming in Adobe Draw

Why can't you tap and hold to rename a layer in Adobe Draw? Why have names on layers at all if all the layers are the same name?
You know people want layers, you support them when you use "Send to Illustrator" but you don't give the user the ability to rename the layers? They all have the same "Draw Layer" name for what reason? This is absurd behavior.
One one hand you allow a user to organize and compose with layers but won't let them change a title to define the layer to make the organization flawless. This is a gap in logic. Sloppy dev IMO.
Then again maybe you can rename the layer but you've hidden the ability so much it's not intuitive enough to figure out?
But like most questions in this forum it'll go unanswered I'm sure.
The whole point of a forum is to find answers, what I tend to discover every time I come her is just lame excuses and vague promises.
And why is development on this app so slow? You should have had this function and many more missing features added back in already. This tells me that Adobe is either going to axe this app like they did Adobe Ideas or the staff resources have their attention divided. Either way functionality and support is at best half-backed. But I digress.

This is by a long margin my most desired feature for Adobe Illustrator Draw. It seems so basic. Here's the other threads I've seen that include the same request:

  • Exporting from Adobe Draw to Photoshop?

When I save a Adobe Draw file to Creative Cloud it saves in the png or jpeg format and much too low rez for me to actually use.  Supposedly I can send Adobe Draw files straight to Photoshop CC without going through Creative Cloud first?  I own Photoshop CS4, but before I upgrade to Photoshop CC I want to know what will happen when I try to open my Adobe Draw files in Photoshop CC.  I need resolutions of at least 800 dpi to make the Adobe Draw files useful to me.  Can you export from Draw to Photoshop CC in whatever resolution you want, or will it export in a particular resolution?

Thanks.  That's not high enough rez for me, but it's good to know.
I assume if I open it in Illustrator first I could get a final product that's higher rez?  (I've never used Illustrator before, so this would be open territory for me.)
For the record, I like the way Adobe Ideas lets me export better.

  • Adobe Draw

I have been creating layered files on my iPad with Adobe Draw. However, I do not have the option to send to illustrator on desktop. Adobe Line has the option but not Draw as shown in videos. I can only share as a flattened png or jpg. Any suggestions?

The current version of Adobe Draw requires a subscription to Illustrator CC in order to see the "Send to Illustrator" option. This requirement was removed from the latest version of Adobe Line, and it will also be removed from Draw in the next release.
    Hope that helps,

  • Equivalent of Adobe Ideas opacity slider in Illustrator

    Hi!
I use Adobe Ideas to create pictures, and then compile them in Adobe Illustrator.
In Adobe Ideas I set the opacity to some of my layers as very low; what is the equivalent to the Ideas slider in Illustrator?
Please don't answer unless you have specific experience of fixing this problem. I say that because I have searched Adobe Help for how to alter the opacity of a layer in Illustrator, but even the 'ghost' layers from Ideas (where the slider is at 0-20%) appear to be set as 100% opacity in Illustrator!
I tried this already, Illustrator Help | Transparency and blending modes already, but Illustrator says my 'ghost' layer is at 100% opacity, which is not what the slider shows in Ideas!
    Thanks for your time.

Adobe Ideas is now Adobe Illustrator Draw (aka Adobe Draw), and I will reply based on the latest version of Adobe Draw.
In Draw, you can set each stroke you draw using the transparency slider in the toolbar and you can set each layer using the transparency slider in the layers panel.
In Illustrator, as Monika wrote, you can set transparency at many different object levels.
When you send your Draw file from the iPad to Illustrator, transparency is maintained at the level you defined it. So, if you set transparency on a layer, open the Layers panel in Illustrator, target the layer (click on the circle for that layer at the right side of the Layers panel), open the Appearance panel and you'll see the % transparency for the layer.  If you drew strokes with transparency, select those strokes (you'll see that they are actually filled paths or compound paths), and each of these objects will have the transparency that you originally drew with.
If this is not working for you, please post some screenshots to show what you're seeing.

  • How do I save/export an image without a background when using Adobe draw on iPad?

    Hi :-)
brand new new to adobe draw... Using on an iPad... How do I export/save an image so that it has no background?

    The solution is the following:
    - by default the first drawing layer is white... and will remain so... you have to turn the opacity of this white layer to zero by pushing the white button on the left,
    - then use any of the remaining 9 layers for your drawings,
    - export to adobe Creative Cloud or Illustrator (not as JPEG) and you have you picture with a transparent background...
    Hope this helps..
