Adobe Draw

I have been creating layered files on my iPad with Adobe Draw. However, I do not have the option to send to illustrator on desktop. Adobe Line has the option but not Draw as shown in videos. I can only share as a flattened png or jpg. Any suggestions?

The current version of Adobe Draw requires a subscription to Illustrator CC in order to see the "Send to Illustrator" option. This requirement was removed from the latest version of Adobe Line, and it will also be removed from Draw in the next release.
Hope that helps,
Frank

  • Where can i find the zoom and pinch tool in New Adobe DRAW App

    Hi People
Dose anyone know where i can find the zoom and pinch tool in adobe draw?
On adobe ideas it was on the tool bar with the pan icon that looks like a hand and the cross icon for the zoom.
Just wondering if Adobe put it in the new Adobe Draw program, i hope so, its hard to get detail with out the zoom tool.
    Best, Phil

Oops Sorry Jumped the gun again! i found out how to do it. I was using my jot touch styles which mean you have to hold down the icon on the upper left with the styles then use your fingers to do the pinch and zoom gesture to make it work

  • How do I save/export an image without a background when using Adobe draw on iPad?

    Hi :-)
brand new new to adobe draw... Using on an iPad... How do I export/save an image so that it has no background?

    The solution is the following:
    - by default the first drawing layer is white... and will remain so... you have to turn the opacity of this white layer to zero by pushing the white button on the left,
    - then use any of the remaining 9 layers for your drawings,
    - export to adobe Creative Cloud or Illustrator (not as JPEG) and you have you picture with a transparent background...
    Hope this helps..

  • Adobe draw send it to illustrator  Fail

I Have Created a file in adobe draw when i send it to illustrator   I get confimation from draw that the event has happened  but  cannot find a file to open in illustrator.
looked in adobe cloud  storage  and  made sure that Ai is open  when i send   am i missing part of the process

The Send-to-Illustrator feature is not dependent on the type of device.
    Try double-checking the following:
    1) Make sure you have the latest version of Illustrator (v18.1.1) installed.
    2) Make sure your "Creative Cloud" app is running on your desktop. If it is, you should see the Creative Cloud icon in your menu bar on the mac and in your taskbar on windows. This is the app that listens for the notifications from the Creative Cloud server and launches Illustrator in response.
    3) Make sure that both the Creative Cloud app on your desktop and the Draw app on your iPad are both signed into the same Adobe ID.
    4) Make sure that the time on your iPad is in sync with the time on your desktop. The notification from the iPad to the desktop is designed to expire in 24 hours, so if the times vary by more than that, the notification may not come through.
    5) Try restarting the Creative Cloud app on your desktop.
    Hope that helps,

  • Layer Naming in Adobe Draw

Why can't you tap and hold to rename a layer in Adobe Draw? Why have names on layers at all if all the layers are the same name?
You know people want layers, you support them when you use "Send to Illustrator" but you don't give the user the ability to rename the layers? They all have the same "Draw Layer" name for what reason? This is absurd behavior.
One one hand you allow a user to organize and compose with layers but won't let them change a title to define the layer to make the organization flawless. This is a gap in logic. Sloppy dev IMO.
Then again maybe you can rename the layer but you've hidden the ability so much it's not intuitive enough to figure out?
But like most questions in this forum it'll go unanswered I'm sure.
The whole point of a forum is to find answers, what I tend to discover every time I come her is just lame excuses and vague promises.
And why is development on this app so slow? You should have had this function and many more missing features added back in already. This tells me that Adobe is either going to axe this app like they did Adobe Ideas or the staff resources have their attention divided. Either way functionality and support is at best half-backed. But I digress.

This is by a long margin my most desired feature for Adobe Illustrator Draw. It seems so basic. Here's the other threads I've seen that include the same request:
    Feature request - Rename layers

  • Exporting from Adobe Draw to Photoshop?

When I save a Adobe Draw file to Creative Cloud it saves in the png or jpeg format and much too low rez for me to actually use.  Supposedly I can send Adobe Draw files straight to Photoshop CC without going through Creative Cloud first?  I own Photoshop CS4, but before I upgrade to Photoshop CC I want to know what will happen when I try to open my Adobe Draw files in Photoshop CC.  I need resolutions of at least 800 dpi to make the Adobe Draw files useful to me.  Can you export from Draw to Photoshop CC in whatever resolution you want, or will it export in a particular resolution?

Thanks.  That's not high enough rez for me, but it's good to know.
I assume if I open it in Illustrator first I could get a final product that's higher rez?  (I've never used Illustrator before, so this would be open territory for me.)
For the record, I like the way Adobe Ideas lets me export better.

  • Illustrator can't open the drawings sent from Adobe Draw

When I send my drawing from Adobe Draw to Illustrator, Illustrator says it can't open the file format. Is anyone else having this issue or have a fix for it?

    Hi,
You will need the latest version of Adobe Illustrator 18.1.0 to open Adobe Draw files sent to Illustrator. Older versions of Illustrator do not have the support for this new file format.
    Hope this helps,

  • Adobe draw import adobe ideas

I'm having trouble importing my adobe ideas into adobe draw. I pushed the one time only button but nothing happened. I'd like to get this to work. How do I do it? Also, can I download a drawing from my creative cloud?

  • Adobe draw creates png files not vector, why is this?

i have used the upload to 'illustrator option and Adobe illustrator just says 'unsupported file format'. Having checked in my creative cloud file it appears that 'Adobe draw' creates the file this way, which is a little confusing as it is a vector based app. Can anyone help me get my artwork from draw to illustrator without having to mask or redraw please.

    super d,
I believe you should ask over here, in the Draw forum:

  • How to access my Libraries from Adobe Draw?

I Used Adobe shape to create a vector file and I want to use that file on Adobe Illustrator Draw, but I can't find it when I try to import a file from cc. Is there any way I can use my vector files from Adobe Shape on Adobe Draw?

    Hi,
You can import your Shapes file into Adobe Illustrator Draw by:
    1. Make sure that you are sign in Adobe Illustrator Draw with the same Creative Cloud account you use for creating Adobe Shape files.
    2. In Adobe Illustrator Draw, tap on the Shapes icon
    3. It will bring a popover window with "App Shapes" and "My Library". Tap on "My Library"
    4. Tap on "Change Library" and select the name of the Library you saved your Shape files.
    Hope this helps,
    Jose

  • Will Adobe provide support for Fifty Three Pencil in Adobe Draw?

Line and Sketch support the Fifty Three Pencil stylus. What about Draw?

The next update of Adobe Draw will support the same styluses that Line and Sketch currently support, namely Fifty Three's Pencil and Wacom's Intuos.
    Hope that helps,

  • Line smoothing in Adobe Draw?

Why hasn't line smoothing been included in Adobe Draw?  It was a great feature in Ideas.

There is stroke smoothing.  You can find it in preferences. (While Drawing / After Drawing). (click on the pen/app icon for preference panel)
You may want to change to "After Drawing" to see the line value change.
