Adobe Edge Animate CC / 2014: Saving issue, program locks up when saving or Save-As

Edge Animate CC (and CC 2014) regularly freezes up when I hit save or save-as.
When the programs does save without crashing/freezing it goes through a nail-biting screen flickering sequence, the mouse becomes inactive, the warning ‘( Not Responding)’ appears momentarily in the programme bar, then the mouse becomes active again
Also as the project grew the programme became slow to respond when designing.
The only way I can make any progress is to do incremental save-as every 10mins and half expect to loose what I’ve just worked on.
I’ve tried updating from CC to CC 2014 , same issue.
My system
Alienware Aurora R4
Win 7 Pro
Intel Core i7 3.60GHz
16GB ram
1TB HDD
250BG SSD

Hi Sudeshna, thanks for replying.
It's happening with a specific file, which is quite big, currently have around 90 graphics (png/jpeg) and 180 symbols in the project.
In terms of features i've deliberately not used any Filters (invert, hue-rotate, contrast, etc) as they have issues in various browsers. I'm animating position and along motion path, scale, rotation, skew, clipping, rectangle, circle rounded box, text, timeline-markers, code on symbols and code on timeline.

Hello, do the animation in Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014.1
and faced with a problem, animating picture animation works when you hover over the image and still have the text which also operates and has a different animation, and the problem is if I'm pokartinke mouse and spend the mouse over the text in the image on the animation picture as if jumps and starts with a new one, I want to know how to do so that would be mouse as I had not seen the text of this so I can keep the mouse on the image and animation are normally worked

but via IPAD ( SAFARI, CHROME and MERCURY) i didn't see the video, just the animation of the BUTTON and the link if i click on it (not in Mercury), like in the content viewer.

Edge Animate CC 2014.1 issues on Mac

I am getting a lot of odd, glitchy issues when working with the latest version of Edge Animate CC 2014.1.
The issues are varied and irregular such as:
nested symbols displaying inside parents and out of position
images in nested symbols displaying when set to 'display:none'
timeline animations bars not displaying when lane is collapsed
animation lanes 'grayed-out' when display is set to 'on'
asset folders not publishing correctly, causing broken links
overall 'glitchy' behavior
Most of the issues I am having are fleeting (except for the asset folder publishing), and will work properly with enough reboots or refreshes. I am wondering if anyone else is having issues since the update and/or if Adobe has noticed these bugs (that's what it seems like they are) and will push and update soon?

I now have a project that seems to be corrupted. A had been working on it all morning, with a few bugs here and there. Now I can no longer open the file, receiving this error: "Edge Animate: Exception An error occurred. Please your work and restart Edge Animate."

Edge Animate CC (3.0.0.322.27519) crashes when saving

My project in the newest Edge Animate CC consistently crashes when I try to save (regardless what option I choose "Save" or "Save as").
I installed this version of Edge Animate CC (see discussion title) via CreativeCloud installer on two system partitions (Mac OSX 10.9.2 (Mavericks) & 10.8 (Mountain Lion)) with different configurations. My project doesn't save on both of them.
I read a few discussions here in the Adobe community, but most of the solutions doesn't seem to fit in my case:
1) The folder "Adobe" in "/Library/Preferances/" doesn't exist (seems odd)
2) Also "SCFinderPlugin" in "/Library/Contextual Menu Items/" doesn't exist, because the folder is empty
Number 1 and 2 apply to both system configuration, so I also won't be able to send some log files. But I would like to send a staff member my project folder and the standard Apple crash report as a private message. Would that be possible? I strongly suspect that my project is corrupt in some way.
I am looking forward to hearing from you, because I am in a bit of a hurry to complete this project and for that I need Edge Animate.

I finally at the chance to test these suggestions.
None of them worked.
In terms of the error message: "An error has occurred. Please save you work and restart Adobe Edge Animate." I went as far as re-installing edge and clearing all the preferences and there was no change.
In terms of the other 2 issues:
The z-index order changes when the window size hits a certain browser width. This causes content to be hidden or obscured.
Certain visible elements are now invisible. I’m guessing this related to opacity settings, but it not on all elements that use this property, only a select handful. The oddest thing about this one is that it is only when look at the published site online. When I preview it locally, or loaded the published content locally, it loads correctly.
I sill have these as well. The code that was provided in the thread "http://forums.adobe.com/message/6269420?tstart=0" did not do anything. It seems this code is only for webkit browsers. I am seeing these issues in IE, FireFox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera. So it's not surprising that the code did not help.
Also, I PM Hemanth 3/4 days ago and haven't heard anything back.
Can someone please help?

Edge Animate CC 2014.1 issues with the new Actions Panel

Hi Guys - I am totally confused with the latest undated EA CC 2014.1 actions panel.
With the old one - its was simple :
but the new one - I get nowhere, freezes the program and I cannot edit any actions... Very frustrating - am I doing something wrong or is it a program flaw?
Is there tutorials I can access on the new actions panel?

Strange. I do not think we have seen this. When you choose an action for example, you need to drill down to the element that needs the action and then double-click to apply it. Is it what you are doing?

Adobe Edge Animate 2014 Can't Start! -- "d3dx9_43.dll" missing. Multiple re-installs same problem. Help?? :(

This is the Dialogue I am presented after every attempt to launch Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014.
"EdgeAnimate.exe - System Error"
"The program can't start because C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014\cef\d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I've re-installed Edge Animate several times now, even restarting computer between installs. For whatever reason, whenever Edge Animate is installed, this particular "d3dx9_43.dll" file will not install along with. What can I do? I use Animate frequently enough that this will become an issue if it cannot resolve soon. Please help.

Adobe Edge Animate CC won't preview in Browser

I am writing a review on Adobe Edge Animate CC. Loving the program until I tried to preview it in a browser.
I am on a PC, using latest version of Firefox, and IE10. The only thing that is viewable in either browser is a static image.
The animation runs perfectly "within" the Edge Animate CC program.
Need to resolve this problem, as I would hate to give the program a bad review, especially if it is something that I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for your response to my question.
The animation I created was very simple one.
The Original Animation (that I could not view in any browser)
1. Resized the Stage and changed the background color
2. Created a "moon" shape from the Ellipse Tool, adding a silver color and inverted shadow
3. Animated "moon" shape using Motion Paths
4. Added a font from Edge Web Fonts (clicking the Add Fonts within the Edge Web Fonts box), changed font color and size
Saved each step as I created them
The first time I tried to create the above animation it would not animate when previewed in browser.
TODAY: I started from scratch.
The only thing that I did differently: after saving "each" step, I clicked preview in browser.
To my surprise, each time I added an additional step the animation worked perfectly when I clicked "preview in browser"
Not sure what I did wrong the first time ... as I stated above, the only thing that I did differently this time was to click the "preview in browser" between each step (after first saving each step).
So, whatever I did, it is now working perfectly!

EDGE ANIMATE CC (2014) : Missing Code Snippets sidebar - WHY!?!?!

I just updated today, and now a project I had been working on for weeks (my first real project) won't open in CC anymore. The only reason I wanted to open it back up in CC - NOT Adobe Edge Animate CC (2014), was because this updated Edge Animate IS MISSING THE CODE SNIPPET SIDEBAR!! WHY!! WHY!! WHY!! It's a little hard to follow along with tutorials you have been using when they insert snippets from the sidebar and suddenly you don't have one anymore!
I have rebuilt permissions and restarted hoping that would fix the issue but it has not. If I can't get this project to pen in CC, can someone tell me how to trick CC into opening it again? Byt he Way -- the old version of Edge Animate was AUTOMATICALLY UNINSTALLED with this update. Also very frustrating!! I had to go to my could menu and download CC (3.0) again.

OK - Possibly Good News... I talked to Adobe Tech Support. I am able to download a previous version of the Edge Animate CC by choosing PREVIOUS VERSION under the FIND NEW APPS section of the Creative Cloud Desktop app. This is a new feature of CC. Thankfully. I can install CC and then do as hemanth kumar r suggested and edit the _edge.js file to allow 3.0 to open the file.

What do mean by 'open AOM files'?
The export packaged files are for use in other programs like Dw, Indesign and Muse.
Can you clarify what it is that you are attempting to do, please.

Are there any known issues with Adobe Edge Animate and Yosemite? Experiencing performance issues since upgrading OS. Animation I was working on that had been performing in browser fine suddenly stopped working, and was not related to any action I had done at that point. Also was working in it today and program stopped responding to key board short cut commands.

I am having a whole slew of odd interface problems with a fresh 2014.1.1 on a fresh macbook pro with latest Yosemite. Program locks up, cursor selections don't show, things disappear. I have a mac mini also and the program runs fine on it. Is there possibly something related to the solid state hard drive in new macs?

Edge Animate CC 2014 issue with SVG - Images greater than 1024 x 1024

Hi, since i updated my Edge Animate CC for Edge Animate CC 2014 i have issues when i import .svg files. Edge told me "Images greater than 1024 may cause unexpected behavior on mobile device" when i import .svg files smaller than 1024 x 1024 ?
When i publish my animation i have a weird things happening and my image scaling default is 10% instead of 100% when i import. Someone had this issue ? Something we can do ? My images a less then 1024 x 1024 and work perfectly in Edge Animate CC 2.0

Adobe Edge Animate JavaScript Coding issues/page load time speeds

To let you have an idea of my skill set I have a background in animation and design and have been taking classes in web development. My question is about how to create an interactive website that loads various animation depending on the user's choice and current place within the Adobe Edge Animate timeline. The website I developed for a client @ www.goshowpro.com works but loads slower than I want and doesn't format properly on my client's Macbook (I believe he needs to update his browsers but that is something else.)
So as you can see from looking at my website I used a multitude of HTML files to create my vision of an interactive website based off of a theatrical stage. I know this is not an ideal method. I would prefer to have it all on one page but I am having trouble with my javascript coding. I was wondering if there would be away to expedite my current site's load time and if not if you could look at my NEW coding. (This IS NOT the current coding on the site.)

Hi, Marlene-
We currently bundle jQuery 1.7.1 with the Animate runtime. In order to call fadeOut() on the element newSquare, you would do the following:
sym.$("newSquare").fadeOut();
OR
sym.getSymbol("newSquare").getSymbolElement().fadeOut();
