Adobe Edge, multiple computers

I am paying for Adobe Inspect on my account in order to have multiple devices running at once to inspect.
If I have it on multiple computers, i.e. Home and Work. If I log in to the application, does it work on more than one computer or do I have to use the same computer every time?
I have tried on my work network, I am on the same network on 2 different computers, one on a wirless network and one on a wired network, and can not get my IP to work. The devices is not connecting.
The application is running, the Chrome plug in is running, and the most recent update is on my devices and running.
When I try to enter my IP address, the devices is unable to connect.
I have Windows Firewall turned off, but of course we have McAfee, but McAfee has been turned on for a while now and it seems to have been working before.  I checked the port 7682 using 'netstat' I get a cc: 7682.  Does that mean the port is in use? or am I using it already?
Little confused.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

There is no limit to the number of computers you can have Edge Inspect installed on. With the paid version though, you can only be signed into one computer at a time to be able to use multiple devices. If you move from computer to computer and sign into each, there should be no problem using the currently signed-in computer with multiple devices.
The most likely explanation for your issue is the one you've already looked into, that either some other app is using port 7682 or that port 7682 is blocked. Try closing Chrome and running that netstat check again. If you still see the same thing, then some other application is using the port we need. Try closing all other open apps and then do your check again. You might even try starting windows in safe mode and see if the port is still in use.
The other possible that your work network is blocking communication across port 7682, especially if your computer & devices are on two different networks. Check with your IT dept on that.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions,
Mark

    Can multiple computers in one office use the same Adobe ExportPDF subscription?

    Hi urinutrioned,
    An ExportPDF subscription is tied to a single Adobe ID and password, so it's meant for a single user  to access.

  • Is it possible to use Adobe Illustrator in multiple computers with the same account?

    Hi guys,
    So our company is a small designing tile company,
    we wanted to purchase the Adobe Illustrator and was wondering if it was possible to use it in multiple computers with one account, as we have two computers that are frequently use for designing, or do we have to buy two separated Adobes Illustrators for each computer?
    Thanks

    From the End User License Agreement (EULA):
    2.1.3 Portable or Home Computer Use. Subject to the restrictions set forth in Section 2.1.4, the primary user of the Computer on which the Software is installed under Section 2.1 (“Primary User”) may install a second copy of the Software for his or her exclusive use on either a portable Computer or a Computer located at his or her home, provided that the Software on the portable or home Computer is not used at the same time as the Software on the primary Computer.
    So, while it CAN be installed on more than one computer, they may not both be in use at the same time.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI CC installs on multiple computers at school

    I am having trouble installing Acrobat XI on multiple computers at our school. I have used the packager but it does not install Acrobat because it is in the Exceptions folder and needs to be installed first. So we are installing it using the AcrobatPro.msi file but it is manual install that asks the user for a trial or serial key edition. Our serial key does not work and the trial will ask us every 30 days for reactivation I am assuming. I want to create an install that will get the job done without questions and licensed.

    Hi undbr,
    If you do not want to uninstall the apps already installed then I would suggest you to simply serialize the app using prtk and try to launch Acrobat.
    Serialization kb: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager/provisioning-toolkit-enterprise.html .

  • Is there a way to Install Captivate 8 without having to log on using an Adobe ID? We need to automate the install on multiple computers.

    We are a small IT department that needs to do multiple installs of software on multiple computers. Having to input an Adobe ID for the install is a hindrance.

    Hi a couple of years back i f needed to do a similar thing with adobe photoshop elements 7, i found that there was an instalation file that could be edited that would input the serial number and other settings, i then used group policy to run the install.exe, maybe have a search for this type of thing?

  • Adobe Edge Animate 2014 Can't Start! -- "d3dx9_43.dll" missing. Multiple re-installs same problem. Help?? :(

    This is the Dialogue I am presented after every attempt to launch Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014.
    "EdgeAnimate.exe - System Error"
    "The program can't start because C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014\cef\d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
    I've re-installed Edge Animate several times now, even restarting computer between installs. For whatever reason, whenever Edge Animate is installed, this particular "d3dx9_43.dll" file will not install along with. What can I do? I use Animate frequently enough that this will become an issue if it cannot resolve soon. Please help.

  • I would like to use Adobe Lightoom on multiple computers. Must I buy the software for each computer?

    Everything said is in title.
    Thank you!

    A single Lightroom license entitles you to install the program on two computers, Windows or Mac or both. But it is for your own personal use only, not for multiple users. If you want to install on multiple computers for multiple users then you need a license for each computer and user.

  • How To: Use Visual Studio, IIS Express, and Adobe Edge Inspect to view local projects

    You CAN view a Visual Studio project with Adobe Inspect. The work around takes a little bit of time.
    This involves using IIS Express to run your Visual Studio project, which is mainly a setting in Visual Studio, a Firewall change, a few command line and IIS Express config change.  It isn't actually all that bad, but will make your life A LOT easier.
    Here are the steps. (Note these are steps I used for Visual Studio 2012 and your project is part of a solution project.  Windows 7 or Windows 8)
    1. If IIS in not turned on, turn it on.How to: Enable Internet Information Services (IIS) - this should install IIS Express as well.
    2. In Visual Studio, find the port that Visual Studio will be using for your project by Running your web project (Debug), and note/write down/save the port number that shows up in the browser when the project launches. (ex.  http://localhost:12345)
    3. Add a NetShare Reservation (process for this will be different for Windows XP)
    Go to your Command Line (CMD) in Windows and in c:\Windows\system32> type in
    netsh http add urlacl url=http://yourIPaddress:yourPortNumber user=everyone
    (ex. netsh add urlacl url=http://12.34.56.78:12345 user=everyone)
    Hit Enter key. You should be a successful add reservation message
    3. Go to your Windows Explorer (File system) and go to c:/Users/YourName/MyDocuments (or Documents)/IISExpress/config/ and open 'applicationhost.config'
    In the 'applicationhost.config' file find your site in the <sites> section.
    Example:
    <sites>
    <site name="WebSite1" id="1" serverAutoStart="true">
                    <application path="/">
                        <virtualDirectory path="/" physicalPath="C:\MyProjects\TestSite" />
                    </application>
                    <bindings>
                        <binding protocol="http" bindingInformation=":12345:localhost" />
                    </bindings>
                </site>
    </sites>
    In this section ADD 2 new lines to the <bindings> section. Note add your own IP address and your own Computer Name
    <binding protocol="http" bindingInformation="*:12345:12.34.56.78" />
    <binding protocol="http" bindingInformation=":12345:MyComputerName" />
    Save the config file.
    4. Open up your Windows Firewall and go to 'Advanced Settings'. Here you want to create an Inbound Rule.
    Right click on Inbound Rule and select New Rule
    - Rule Type select 'Custom'
    - Program leave this
    - Protocol and Ports > Protocol Type select 'TCP' then Local Port select 'Specific Port' and fill in the port number you got from VS.  Leave Remote Port alone.
    - Scope
    There are a few ways of doing this. Typically you would go the the Remote IP address and select 'These IP addresses: and select ADD > select 'Predefined set of computers' and choose Local Subnet.  IF this does not work leave Remote IP addresses > Any IP address option selected instead.
    - Action leave this
    - Profile select Domain and Private
    - Name put IISExpressWeb for the name
    Select 'Finish'
    5. Go to Visual Studio. (Note if you have multiple projects in your solution, choose your start up project. Right click on your project in Solution Explorer in VS and select 'Set as Start Up Project' )
    Right click on your start up project again and you should see an option to 'Use IISExpress'
    In the DEBUG dropdown (from the main menu bar at the top) select 'YourProjectName Properties'. Mine was the last one in the list with a wrench icon next to it.
    This should open an new tab in your project, You should see a left hand list of option and a right hand column of options.
    In the left column select 'Web' and in this tab select Use Local IIS Web server and select 'Use IIS Express' and type in your IP Address and port number (same as before) in the Project Url text box.
    Save.
    NOW, you should be able to run your project in Visual Studio and use Adobe Edge Inspect on your device and view new results in Chrome. You can develop from there.
    If you still can not see it working, please be sure your device is on the same SubNet or Wireless network as your computer.  If you are in a large network but the domains can still see each other, the Firewall Setting detailed above to allow Any IP Address in your Scope section.

  • Adobe Edge Reflow is not listed as an application to download?

    I'm trying to install adobe edge reflow, but it doesn't seem to be listed in my applications to download. I have both Edge animate, and Edge Inspect. But no Reflow or Code.

    I've attempted multiple times, and even went as far as creating a separate account on different computers to even get the trial edition. Any ideas?

    Hi, I activated my CS6 in 2012 under my student licence and still using it. I've heard that you can't run CS6 on multiple computers. How do I transfer it from one computer to another as I am switching computers?

    Hi,
    first, I'm not Adobe's "slave" as you might to accuse me. Most of the posters here are users like me.
    I only can repeat that what I found in Adobe's help sites, as I wrote above. You are free to figure out the "real" truth and - the best would be - you may contact Adobe directly, here are - I'm sure you know them -  the links I would use: http://helpx.adobe.com/support.html  and http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html.

  • Can you use the programs in the creative cloud on multiple computers?

    Hey,
    I was wondering if it is possible to use the programs on multiple computers when you have the membership?
    Thanks

    From the doc : http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html
    "You can install the desktop applications available in Creative Cloud on your primary computer and one backup computer, as long as they are not running at the same time. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for instance, you can install your applications on both. See the product license agreements page for more information."
