Adobe Elements 11 Video Projects

Adobe Elements 11 Video Projects is empty.
I have Adobe Elements 11 and Premiere 11.
I cannot get my Premiere 11 projects to show up in Adobe Elements 11 Organizer Video Projects (left panel under Albums).

Barbara B, thanks for getting me into the correct forum.
ATR, thanks for the answer. I just started using Photoshop Elements 11 (reading its Classroom in a Book) and also Premiere Elements 11 Classroom in a Book page 11 does not show a triangle to the left of "Video Projects".
I have Win 7 64 and my project files (prel) are correctly located in C:\Users\vaughan\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Elements\11.0.
My error, which was:
When I clicked on the menu items "Albums" or MyFolders (e.g.) it would properly reveal the hidden lists below them.
So, I mistakenly assumed, clicking on the word "Video Projects" would reveal the list of my projects below it.
I should have, as you instructed, clicked on the "right pointing black triangle" to the left of "Video Projects" to reveal the hidden list below it.
ATR, thanks for your help.

  • Does Adobe Elements 13 video capture work with Firewire for DV videotapes?

I just spent $120 to upgrade to Premiere Elements 13, and it doesn't recognize my Sony DV tape recorder/player.  I was searching on the web and thought I saw somewhere that Premiere Elements 13 dropped firewire support, but I can't relocate the information. So now I've spent the money on the upgrade and can't capture video.

DV and HDV data capture firewire has been removed from Premiere Elements 13/13.1. The last version to have this feature is 12/12.1.
Adobe has suggested the workarounds for the Premiere Elements 13/13.1 situation. Please see
Removed features and unsupported file formats | Adobe Premiere Elements 13
There are the usual capture programs
    Windows
    Movie Maker
    HDV Split

Please let us know if you need more information on this matter.
    Thank you.

  • Adobe elements 10 video exporting

can anyone tell me why my 5 min video i just made in adobe premiere elements 10 exports as a 24 min video with 19 min of black at the end?
    cheers

Maybe the audio  track is longer than the clip? Or the video may just need trimming.

  • Adobe Elements 12 - Video quality of downloaded DVD in editing software

Why is the video quality imported from a 1.4 GB mini disc into the Premiere 12 software worse then when I just watch it directly on my computer?  It seems like there is a big step down in quality after I download it to edit in the software program.  Why is this?  Is there something I can do to maintain the quality of the original?

Thanks for all the helpful details.
Here is what I would like you to do.
    Open Premiere Elements 12.
Go to File Menu/New/Project and, in the new project dialog, set the project preset to either NTSC DV Standard or Widescreen (depends on if you recorded 4:3 or 16:9). Before you leave the new project dialog, put a check mark next to "Force Selected Project Setting on This Project". Close out of there.
Back in the Premiere Elements 12 workspace, go to Add Media/"DVD camera or computer drive"/Video Importer. You will need to have you miniDVD in the drive tray. Will your burner tray accept the miniDVD for place in tray? Most do.
In the VIdeo Importer dialog that is opened, go to the Source: field at the top of the dialog and make sure that you DVD drive is selected there.
Your Video Importer should be populated with thumbnails. Uncheck all. Select the video files from the DVD-VIDEO. The names should be VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_02_1.VOB, and so on depending on how long this DVD-VIDEO is.
Make sure that you have the Save In: field set to a named folder for this batch of VOBs. If you want the VOBs on the Timeline of the project as well as saved to the hard drive, make sure you have a check mark next to Add to Timeline. Then hit Get Media to get your VOBs into the project.
Do the Publish+Share/Disc/DVD disc export with the NTSC Dolby DVD or NTSC_Widescreen Dolby DVD preset.
Play back the DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc using your computer and one of its players for that purpose as well as the TV and its DVD player. Let us know the results.
We will be watching for further developments.
    Thanks.

black borders on both sides of the movie how do I correct this problem when playing thevideo?

Along with Steve comments, also see this ARTICLE, for some of the possible reasons - all of which boil down to a mis-match between the Source Footage and the Project Preset.

  • Adobe Elements 9 won't open new project.

My version of Adobe Elements 9, bought in April 2011 for my PC with Windows 7, won't allow me to open a new project. All I get is a greyed out prompt that won't go anywhere. It will open a prior project. I haven't used the program in about 9 months. This is the video part of the pacage, not Photshop, which seems to function fine. (Although at the advice of a for pay tech advice forum I reinstalled it afater deleting several of it's directories.)  I have reinstalled Elements, updated the flash player and run an Elements 9 update. Ideas?

Are you running the 9.0.1 Update of the program and on what computer operating system is it running?
Is your video card/graphics card driver up to date according to the manufacturer of the card?
Is your computer optimized, including maintenance of pile ups of preview files, conformed audio files, and conformed video files?
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1?
What are your project settings and what are the properties of your source media? When you say that "used to be able to export...." is that on the same computer, same brand/model/settings for the camera recording the video now in use, same Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1?
Where player are you using for the playback of these exports?
Please give us more details on the size of the projects (then and now) as well as details of the customized export settings in your Share/Computer/ route. Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 is only a 32 bit application running in 32 bit or 64 bit system. Not sure if computer resources might be taxed more so now than before.
    More later.

  • Does Adobe Premiere Elements Have Video Description & Editing Feature?

    Dear Adobe Fans,
Can any Adobe users with experience using Adobe Premiere Elements tell me if you can add descriptions, view or add location metadata to video files? I cannot find a decent place other than my iPhoto library to store movie files and add this kind of information. Sadly, iPhoto cannot be used to import any kind of movie.
I am looking for an alternative video editing app to iMovie. I was wondering if Adobe have video descriptions information. I'd like the ability to add descriptions to my videos like in iPhoto.
    Many thanks,

If there is any consideration for seeing or adding comments about source media within a project....
please check out Premiere Elements Expert workspace Project Assets/Panel Options/View with List and columns of information (can add to columns by right clicking blank space and selecting Edit Columns)....used to be you could add comments there, but no more that I have found
    Also, see Markers/Timeline Marker/Set Timeline Marker/Unnumbered
After unnumbered marker is placed at the position of the Timeline Indicator, double click the Timeline unnumbered marker to obtain Marker dialog for comments/info.
I am strictly an Elements Windows user, so I am assuming that the features mentioned are in Premiere Elements Mac as well since I do not see any Windows Only notation for them.

  • AVCHD video support in Adobe Elements 8 - adobe becomes unresponsive

I have Adobe Elements 8 on Win 7 64-bit.   I purchased a new camera Panasonic DMC-FZ200 which does 1080p video and stores file in AVCHD video format on the SD card.  I imported my photos/video first time from my new camera and the import is failing on the AVCHD video files.   It just hangs and causes Adobe Elements to become unresponsive.
A popup window eventually comes up and says:
    G:\PRIVATE\AVCHD\BDMV\STREAM\00001.MTS
    server execution failed

    sherveveyj1
Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 is a 32 bit application running in the 32 bit compatibility mode of the 64 bit system and as such has the limitations of 32 bit, namely, maximum supported installed RAM = 4.0 GB of which typically 3 GB or less are available. Many found that the program does not have enough resources for serious AVCHD editing  for medium to large size projects. Some resorted to converting the footage to the less resource demanding MPEG2 1920 x 1080i while others experimented with a proxy method which used to be in FAQ.

Are you shooting 1080p60 with your Panasonic DMC-FZ200. How do you intend to export the footage?
The advanages of upgrading to version 11 for your situation include gaining a 64 bit application running in a 64 bit system of Windows 7 or 8 which will make available more of the computer resources. And, version 11 is the first to offer the 1080p60 and 1080p50 project preset. You might want to look at the free 30 day tryout of the program from Adobe to determine if it is something that would work to your advantage.
If you wish to pursue making due with what you have, please let us know and more information on working with AVCHD in Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 will be discussed in depth, including workarounds.
    Thanks.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12/12.1 running on?
Assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit for the moment
After edit process, you go to Tools/Movie Menu (if you want disc menu), and then to
    Publish+Share
    Disc
    Blu-ray
for the burn to Blu-ray disc format on the Blu-ray disc (25 GB or 50 GB).
Also, remember that, if you use stop markers in your project, the stop markers in Premiere Elements Blu-ray disc format
on Blu-ray disc are not recognized by your player at playback.
In Premiere Elements 12/12.1, Publish+Share/Disc/Blu-ray...disc is your only choice, no burn to folder or to ISO Image.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • Is my graphics card ok to edit video on adobe elements

I am about to purchase a new computer with the following spec:
    Model
    AW25
    Motherboard
    Asus P8H77-V LE
    In-built audio
    CPU
    Intel core i5 3570 quad core 3.4ghz
    Memory
    8gb ddr3 xms3
    System HD
    500gb WD caviar 7200 rpm
    Audio HD
    2TB WD caviar 7200rpm +£60
    Windows OS
    7 home premium 64 bit
    Graphics card
    1Gb Asus GT 610
    and have the following questions:
Am I right to say that if I want to use Adobe elements 11 only for editing video, this graphics card will be ok.  I realise its not as powerful as the GTX range but I’m not looking to upgrade to Adobe premiere pro as elements seems more than suitable to my requirements
Because Adobe elements doesn’t make use of the GPU aspect of graphics cards, the relatively low CUDA for the GT 610 (48 CUDA if you're interested) won’t be an issue.
I apologise for these newbie questions but just want to ensure I’m not making a mistake and would be grateful for any assistance. The reason I can’t request a GTX card is that the above spec is for a music PC and the GT 610 is mandatory. If this spec processes video then that would be a great bonus for me and I just want to confirm this.
    Many thanks for any assistance
    Video Newbie

Also, I would make sure that you go to the nVidia Web site, plug in your card's model #, and your OS, and verify that you have the latest nVidia video driver installed. Do NOT trust your OS, or any utility, to tell you if you have the latest version - be sure to go to the nVidia site.
    Good luck,

    Hallo Turican-Ra,
Erst mal musst du in PRE unter Organisieren auf Projekt klicken und danndie Datei(en) auswählen.
Hier siehst du alle Formate, die du exportieren kannst (wenn dein Dateityp nicht dabei ist funktioniert es nicht).

Issue: What folder are the videos stored in on the camcorder?
Solution: List of the directory and file structure of AVCHD camcorders
For users who wish to "drag and drop" the video files created by the camcorder the videos can be located by drilling down thru the following folders.
Double click on the removeable disc drive icon to display the root folder of the drive.
Double click on the [AVCHD] folder
Double click on the [BDMV] folder.
Double click on the [STREAM] folder. The video files are located in this folder with a .mts file extension.
    - Depending on the software you are using the file extension may need to be renamed to .m2ts to be useable in your playback or editing software.
