Adobe Elements catalog backup fails after 3 discs. Message says something wrong with dvd writer. I bought an external dvd burner and changed disc brands, still the same results.

If you have the hard drive space, see if you can complete a back up to the hard drive instead. If that works successfully, it could be a buffer or caching issue with the burner. It could be running out of space because it is not clearing after each disk burn.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I'm having some problems wiht Firefox, for example; Youtube isn't loading right, Facebook won't let me send messages, search up people, and this website i made wont load right also. I've re-installed and updated it but still the same problems. Any help?
Because I know enough to be dangerous... I was trying to extend the two outside columns down.... Instead of just using faux columns which I have fixed since I posted the question.
The other link problem is the left sidebar links. When you go to the event photos page I have a repeat of the sidebar links that are on the newsletter page. I used named anchors on the newsletter page to link to the particular article. From the Event Photos page the links look like this:

The problem I am having is that some of these go to the newsletter page and the anchor and some do not (I get an error message saying it can't find the page). To add to the problem is that when we choose say the President's Message, when it goes to the newsletter page and the correct anchor, the newsletter page is missing all the links to the graphics... the photos are missing the graphic for the faux columns is missing. It makes no sense. When I preview the newsletter page from Dreamweaver everything shows up fine.
I do not know if all of this is being caused because I haven't posted this stuff to the site or what. I've tried re-booting both the browser and Dreamweaver, dumping the cache and still the same nonsense.

Messages like that are almost always phishing, and are not actually from Apple. Changing password does not affect it, since they can still send you the same email.

Is this an Imap mail account?
if yes, you can choose to only synchronize the most recent of emails instead of a whole folder.

Make sure you compact folders on a regular basis to remove all 'marked as deleted' emails.
Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings -> Clean up ("Expunge") Inbox on Exit will compact the Inbox folder when you exit Thunderbird. If you check "Empty Trash on Exit" it will also empty and compact the Trash folder when you exit. -
I recently got a message saying that my startup disk was almost full. I tried moving files on to an external drive to make some space, but the files still show as taking up room when I look at my product info storage. The files appear to have been moved and deleted off of my internal drive. I copied them from one to the other and then moved the ones on the internal to my trash and then emptied the trash folder. What else can I do. When I open iMovie, even though I moved the movies from the iMovie folder, they still load as iMovie thumbnails, which takes forever. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
First of all make sure that you've definitely backed up the movies to your external hard disc.
In iMovie click on any event you don't want, go to the file menu and select 'move event to trash'. Then do the same for any unwanted projects - 'move project to trash'. Quit out of iMovie and empty the trash.

System Image Backups fails after upgrading to Windows 8.1 with 0x80040154
Backed up a Windows 8.0 system to DVD with no issues. Upgraded the computer to 8.1, and now when we tried to backup the system to DVD, we are getting the error message "An error occurred, class not registered (0x80040154)"
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

I am trying to download and album off ITUNES but when I get to the billing site and attempt to purchase it, it gives me a message saying "Your Session has timed out." It gives me no other option that to try again and I just keep getting the same results. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

There are a couple things that I would recommend trying. Try closing all open applications and power cycle the device. Next, go through the section labeled Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the second article below. If the issue persists, try completely signing out of the iTunes Store on the iOS device and sign back in. Be sure to test downloading an application after each step.

I am using Photoshop Elements 10 on a PC with Windows 7 Professional. When I attempt to backup the catalog to DVD, the process begins and after burning four disks it fails with a message to make sure that the current disk drive firmware is installed.
Thus far I have:
Reconnected all missing files
Repaired (no errors found) the catalog
Optimized the catalog
Recreated the thumbnail cache
Turned off the sync agent
Turned off Auto-Analyzer
Turned off facial recognition
Used different brand of DVD
On four separate attempts to run a backup, I have encountered the same result.Has anyone solved this or received the answer from Support. I have spent several days importing all my pictures, after having bought elements 10 and when I do the backup to DVD it fails after the second DVD with the same error. 'error encountered while writing disc. Contact your disc drive manufacturer and upgrade to the latest available firmware for your specific disc drive before trying again'
I know it's not my drives or drivers as this is the only software that has given me a problem.

Well I am back again, with another backup issue. After fixing one issue with the backup failing after a reboot, I have encountered another which is starting to cause me a lot of headaches.
The setup is thus - the backups run on a host machine running Windows Server 2012, this hosts three VM's (1x Server 2012 and 2x2008 Since the 19th of December a single backup drive has been attached for the backups (not ideal but the company had closed for
the holidays) up until the 26th these backups were working flawlessly.
On the 26th the backup completed with warnings, transferring a good 90% of the data to the backup (2/3 VMs). On the 27th it transferred a bit more at around 95% (2/3 VMs). On the 28th, it didn't completely backup a single VM.
On the 28th this error appeared in the event logs and after checking in the snap-in the same errors appear on the warning days as the errored day.
The backup operation that started at '2014-12-28T20:30:09.774946400Z' has failed with following error code '0x80780049' (None of the items included in backup were backed up.). Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun the backup
operation once the issue is resolved.

Do not seem to be able to backup iPad via iTunes on to my PC.
Message after connecting is "iTunes was unable to load class information from Sync Services, Reconnect or try later"
Have tried that but get the same result.
Remedies I've tried are:
wait and try again
reboot
reload iTunes
NB hp is a relatively new machine and has previously backed up quite happily.

Try rebooting the iPad. Hold down both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. It takes a minute or two to restart.
Also be sure your iPad battery is not completely discharged.

When I try and open adobe illustrator I get a pop up message saying "To open “Adobe Illustrator CS6” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime." it also says "Click “More Info…” to visit the legacy Java SE 6 download website." When i click more info it transfers me to an apple page which never loads, its just a blank page. I downloaded Java SE 6 like it says it needs but it did nothing. All of my other Adobe programs such as bridge, dreamweaver, lightroom, Photoshop, indesign, and flash all work except for illustrator. What can I do to fix this?
Go to Apple and look for the Java for OSX 2014-001 link. Download from there and install it.
