Adobe encore 2 out of memory

Hi i am running 3/4 gig of ram adobe encore 2 comes up out of ram after 140 menus (i am making a catalouge of pics and text)
Can any one help me?
Kellie

Kellie,
I'm surprised that you got that far. IIRC, Encore is limited to 99 Menus. Might want to try: http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/comparison.html
It seems that it can get around that limit.
I'm also surprised by the lack of system RAM. I think I have had 1.5GB min. for the last eight years.
Good luck,

  • Encore Out of memory?

I am building a presentation dvd when i and hit with thie error message half way into the build,
I am running 4gig of ram and dont quite understand how i am running out of memory. I watch the memory chart in the windows task manager and it only reaches 63% at 2.35gig of ram, before coming up with the "Not enough memory..." message.
Any ideas on why encore is not using my full 4gig of ram. My computer does know i have 4gig also.
    -Thanks,

OK, that is a start. You have 5GB RAM installed, but with a 32-bit OS, you will only see a bit less than 4GB. With the 3GB switch, you can divide up that 4GB with some additional addresses, but it MAY cause other issues. I use it on my XP-Pro workstation and have had no issues, nor have I ever had any "Out of Memory" errors. Some people are not so lucky, but you might want to try it. I do not have a bookmarked link handy, but a search of the Adobe Premiere forum should yield the MS link with the necessary parameters and how to implement it. Do not know about Vista, sorry.
Now, how is your Vista "virtual memory" Page File set up? How many HDD's do you have and how are they utilized? I'm talking about physical HDD's and hope that you have not partitioned any of these.
There are basically two types of "memory." One is RAM and the other is "virtual." I've had very good luck with a static Page File setting at 2.5x my physical RAM. My experiments yielded the best results by splitting this over two physical HDD's, but your mileage may vary. Still, many swear by a static, vs the default dynamic ("let Windows manage your Virtual Memory").
Another factor regarding memory is the number of Processes that one has running. These can be common programs, like anti-virus, pop-up blockers and anti-spyware apps., but also many, many others. I Exit out of most of the common ones in my Tasktray, and then run a little freeware program, EndItAll2. It's pretty smart and will query your system Processes, upon installation. When you run it, it'll shut down all the little apps. that rob your system of CPU cycles, RAM usage and also Page File usage. You can tweak it, if necessary also. If I'm editing anything beyond a "test" Project, I always shut everything else down. During my editing, I can have AE, PS, AI, Premiere and Encore all running, though all but one will be minimized. Now, I do have more CPU power, than do you, plus a ton of internal HDD's, but only 4GB (with the 3GB switch) of RAM (Corsair Pro dual-channel). I've also had SD Projects that were extremely heavy-duty, and have never had a memory error.
OK, that's a few questions and suggestions. Let us know how it comes out. You may have to do a bit of experimentation to see what works on your system, but you should also be able to get major Projects through it.
John T. Smith has also posted a link to "Troubleshooting Tips." I do not have that bookmarked either, but he's posted it to many articles on this forum. I'd find a post by him, and click his profile to see his recent posts. I'll bet that one will have that link in it.
    Good luck,

  • Adobe Illustrator "out of memory" when saving then crashes

We have a user who uses Illustrator.  Every once and a while she will have the issue where it says that it is out of Memory (RAM).  I checked and at that time she had over 4Gb of physical memory left and the Swap was at 0 of 8.6Gb.  Am I reading the memory wrong or is something else the issue?  Also the CPU was at 5% used and the hard drive has almost 600Gb free.  She is using a USB 3.0 external hdd to open and save to.  When it crashes the below error is given.

It doesn't happen every time and it is different files.  I can't get the user to only keep stuff on the computer.  Do you think that is the issue?  It used to work fine for months then now it just started doing this on a pretty regular basis, but I can't find anything that I can do to make it repeatable.

  • Encore CS3 - Out of Memory & C++ Runtime Error

I'm running Encore CS3 and I encounter several problems with a recent project that have made Encore practically useless.
When I try to preview the project, play a timeline or preview a menu I get this error. Out of Memory - Please Save and exit immediately to avoid data loss. I also get the c++ runtime error sometimes while trying the same actions.
I've also had Encore hang while trying to import .m2v files, although this appears to happen randomly. Clearing the media cache seams to fix it, sometimes.
All video was compressed with Cinemacraft Encoder 2.70.02.12 and all audio was normalized with Adobe Audition CS3.
I've read through the forms and tried deleting the media cache in the registry and re-installed Encore once. Nothing appears to work, I'm about ready to ditch Encore and go with another authoring program.
    Please help.
    My Specs
    Windows XP X64 (Current Updates)
    Dual Opteron 275
    Tyan Thunder K8SE
    4 GB ECC/Reg RAM (Corsair DDR400)
1x 74 GB Raptor for OS
    1x 74 GB Raptor for Cache/Temp
    2x 500 GB For project/storage
    Quadro FX 3400
    Sound Blaster Audigy
    Pioneer 112D
    Sony CRX320E

Why would XP64 be the problem if its worked fine for over 30 projects?
I also tried loading the project on one of our 32bit XP workstations with Encore CS3 and had all the same problems.
At this point the problem appears to be a bug with Encore, because after starting over from scratch I got the project to work fine.
It also appears that if you copy/paste anything it will corrupt your project somehow.
So, the bottom line its this, XP64 is not the problem.

  • "There was an error processing a page. Out of memory." Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro-Please Help!

"There was an error processing a page. Out of memory." Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro I had this problem with my last computer over two years ago which was obviously an older version of windows and acrobat and had found a way to solve it but like I said it was an older version and was 2 years ago so I don’t remember how to fix it. I’ve looked through many forums and emptied my temp folder I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the software I’ve turned off my anti-virus I don't have adobe reader because I know this causes comflicts also and have tried so much more and I’m still having issues with about half my pdf files I cannot figure it out. I use pdf files many times a day and this is really hindering my work so please please please if anyone else has experienced this or knows how to fix it that would be great thank you!!! I’m somewhat computer savvy but not completely so if you cloud please explain to me in slightly less tech terms that would be great too.

Assuming your disk is not too full, and your virtual memory settings are normal, this is not caused by software clashes, TEMP folders nor fixed by reinstalls. It is Acrobat _actually_ running out of memory, or running out of something else it has a fixed supply of.
    1. Are you using any plug-ins to process files?
    2. After you get this error on a particular file, restart Acrobat. Does the file now open OK?

  • Adobe X Pro 10.1.10 Out of Memory error message

    Hello One, Hello All
Since updating our Adobe X Pro machines to version update 10.1.10, we occasionally receive an "Out of Memory" error message, which depending on what we are doing, may force us to shutdown all Adobe windows and re-open Adobe, or simply click OK and continue working with the PDF document like nothing is wrong. It seems to have no rhyme or reason to when or why it occurs. I do not see any warnings or errors in the Windows Event Log. It happens with files we have created, and also happens with files received from internal and external sources through email. It is affecting our high end machines: Lenovo X Series and W Series laptops with Windows 8.1 3rd/4th gen i5 CPUs, 8+GB RAM, 128+GB SSD's. We have all system and Windows updates applied. We have Trend Micro and Malwarebytes real-time protection and system scans do not find any malware.
I have found a few other recent threads on Adobe forum related to this error message but the responses are weak at best with no definitive fix. The system and user temp folders size are less than 100MB each so this cannot be the issue. When the error occurs I check task manager and system utilization, including memory, is well below 100%.
We did not have this issue prior to version update 10.1.10.
Really hoping Adobe can step in to help here and hoping boilerplate responses are not used.

    Hi wayne103,
We released a new security update yesterday that is v10.1.11
Please update to this version and check the performance.
I have seen this error message occur while opening a 3rd party created pdf that has corrupted file structure.
Please let me know if the issue occurs for some specific files or random
Also let me know the PDF producer for these pdfs.
    Regards,
    Rave

  • Out of memory error, while using Adobe InDesign

I have been running Adobe inDesign for a couple of years with no problems. This is the first time I got a, "Out of memory" error when attempting to save the document as a PDF.
Windows 7, Dell Studio XPS, 2.80 GHz Processor, Memory: 9 GB Dram, Hard Drive: 1.5 TB, 1.56 MB cache.
    Firefox v33.02
What should I do to get back the memory?
    Thank you,
    Don Schaaf

Hi Don, is this an Adobe site you are using in a Firefox tab, or the stand-alone InDesign application?
If it's in the application, you may want to try Adobe's forum. You also could try closing other open applications to have them release memory and then try creating the PDF again.
Please note that if Firefox has been running for a long time and is using a lot of memory, it may take several minutes to release it all, as various files are (slowly) updated at shutdown. You can monitor its progress in the Windows Task Manager on the Process tab. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task Manager, and then click the processes tab. Firefox will be listed under firefox.exe here. Please allow it to shut down normally instead of using the End Process button, unless it appears to hang (no movement in the amount of memory used for several minutes).

  • Adobe Indesign CC out of memory error/crash while scrolling

As I am moving about in my InDesign document (on a MAC), I get a error message saying I'm "OUT OF MEMORY" while I scroll w/ either the space bar on the keyboard and or document scroll bar. I just updated a new patch thru Adobe for InDesign and restarted my computer several times.
    Please need some answers.
    Thanks,
    Moofia66

Please visit the InDesign forum and look for the discussions on issues with InDesign CC. I'm locking this thread rather than move it there because there are already enough discussions there.

  • Adobe CS6.0 out of memory error on iMac (early 2009)

    Hi:
Adobe CS6.0 Photoshop is returning "Out of Memory (RAM)" errors and is unusable on a lab of iMacs.
The system exceeds Adobe minimum specs (1GB ram).
Our school has a lab of computers with both Adobe CS5.5 and Adobe CS6.0 Master Collection installed on a lab of iMacs (early 2009).
The computers all have 4GB of memory and come with an NVidia GeForce 9400M 256MB video card.
I notice that this video card shares ram with the main system.
CS5.5 runs perfectly well but CS6.0 is not co-operating.
We have updated Photoshop to version 13.04 and have run Apple's Software Update (latest version).
I have looked online and this is a known problem with computers that have Adobe CS5 & 6 installed with Mac OS10.7.x but only on certain video cards.
There are people out there with 32 GB ram having the same problem.
I'm guessing the answer may be to update the video card drivers somehow.
    Your input is greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    ODrew

    Hi ODrew,
I'm shocked you can operate OK with only 4GB of RAM, that certainly wasn't enough for my 2007 iMac to not continually slow down!?
    CS6 Sys requiremnts...
    Mac OS
Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
    Mac OS X v10.6.8, v10.7, or v10.8**
    4GB of RAM (8GB recommended)
4GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
Additional disk space required for preview files and other working files (10GB recommended)
    1280x900 display
7200 RPM hard drive (multiple fast disk drives, preferably RAID 0 configured, recommended)
    OpenGL 2.0–capable system
DVD-ROM drive compatible with dual-layer DVDs (SuperDrive for burning DVDs; Blu-ray burner for creating Blu-ray Disc media)
QuickTime 7.6.6 software required for QuickTime features
Optional: Adobe-certified GPU card for GPU-accelerated performance
And I don't see that Video card supported...

I don't think you can upgrade that video card...

  • Out of memory message on iPad 3 in Adobe reader

When viewing a PDF on the iPad 3 with the Adobe reader app I get a message saying "out of memory" whenever I open a PDF bigger than about 20mb.
Any reason or a bug? I have loads of memory left on the device.

We just released a new version that should fix most out of memory issues on the new iPad. It also adds a host of new features like commenting, form filling and ink signatures. Please update and let us know what you think.

Hi everyone i have ran into several issues after we have upgraded to adobe acrobat x.  It seems some files that were able to open with previous version of acrobat freeze when i try to open them, several instances have happened with regular pdf files, oprtfolios and number of times files come up with the out of memory message.

  • Mac Pro - Adobe InDesign CS 2 - Out of Memory

My client has bought 2 new 2.66GHz Quads for design purposes...
Not a good idea by the look of it, as ID is constantly coming up with "Out of Memory" errors and checking the ram usage it's taking about 250Mb with no pages open and gets up to 500-600Mb when opening multiple docs but watching the VM it's up to 3+Gb !!! On my mac here, a Dual 1.25 Ghz G4, I get 150Mb and 550Mb VM only ...
I am aware of it's running under emulation but boy my client is not happy !
AND now my supplier has suggested throwing in another 2Gb of ram per machine as $1K per machine !!!
I hope something is done by Adobe to at least help the situation until CS 3 comes out because the machine is pretty much useless for it's intended purpose...
    Mitch
G4 Dual 1.25 GHz-1.5 Gb RAM 200+Gb Storage + Powerbook + Dell Laptop   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   Plus over 1 TB of storage

I might have missed it, but did you specify how much ram the MacPros have installed?
Make sure that there's no problem with the memory, that is if you have 2 gig installed the computer recognizes the 2 gig. I've seen some cases where a user put in 2 gig but because of a bad module only 1 gig was recognized.
Aside from that, rosetta basically doubles the memory requirements for any given application, so if you ran CS2 fine with 2 gig you'll need 4 gig to get the same type of usage.
I use photoshop CS on my Macpro with 2 gig and I don't get out of memory errors. I've come close a few times but I also don't really do too much heavy lifting with photoshop.
I think because of Rosetta, 4 gig is the sweetspot for the macpro. I have two and after working with photoshop and aperture I noticed a lot of swap files created. More so then when I was on a G5 with 2 gig.

  • Out of memory error adobe elements 3.0

When I try to open adobe photo elements 3.0 I get an out of memory error.  the application wont even open.  I upgraded my RAM from 2GB to 3 GB but it has made no difference

Hi, just wondering if you had any success in retreiving or opening your Organizer?? Im having the same problem and i have tried everything, i even rang Adobe and they told me there were no technitions able to help because Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 was too old. If anyone has a solution please let me know, i have 5 years worth of photos in this software, i just want to be able to open the organizer to burn all my pics to CD then i will update my software. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
First of all, your photos are not, "in this software" they are in folders on your hard drive, and PSE merely points to them. If >>you personally<< didn't delete them, or reformat your HDD, then they are still there. The default file path for your photos is this; "My Documents" > "My Photos" > "Adobe", and then a couple of different folders dependent on photo type, for example, "Scanned Photos".
If you are using the default location, you can simply copy and paste you pictures to an external HDD, or burn them to CD or DVD with Windows. I am not recommending this, since if would not allow you to carry over information created by the organizer, and the photos would have to be reimported and retagged, by your files would be backed up and safe, the most important thing.
There really isn't a need for all these histrionics, Even if you uninstall PSE, your photos will still be exactly where they were.  Even if you uninstall PSE, its catalog information will still be intact, and a later version will pick it up and "convert it" to its own file system.
Support for PSE-3 has obviously ended, it's more than 5 years and 5 versions old. Just as a topic of conversation, my personal favorite version of PSE, is PSE-5.  IMO, it's the fasest importing, the most reliable, yet it has a lot more bells and whistles than PSE-3. If you can find a usable copy, I'd grab it, especially for a computer running XP.
As to the out of memory issue there can be several issues that can affect this, for example; not enough RAM is allotted to PSE, this is independent of the amount of RAM actually installed in the computer. The scratch disc area is full or insufficient, the preferences file is corrupt.
Everybody is complaining about not being helped in this thread, yet no one has posted back as to whether they have tried Barbara's suggestions, or even if they understand enough about Windows file system to be able to begin to help themselves.
