Adobe Encore CS5 Help!

When I try to run Adobe Encore CS5, I get this message. adobe encore cs5 cannot run in a non royalty serialized mode. Anyone know a fix? I really need to get some DVDs authorized. Thanks.

Great news, and a belated welcome to the forum.
Usually, Adobe Dynamic Link works perfectly. However, there are times, when things just do not go, as they should. Doing the Export>Import is usually fail-safe,so long as one chooses to Export to a format, that Encore loves. Yes, that is the "old fashion way," but until one can determine why ADL is not functioning, it just works.
Good luck,

  • Very poor video quality after transcoding in Adobe Encore CS5.1

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I have very poor video quality after transcoding the video file (MPEG) in  Adobe Encore CS5.1. Below you see my used settings in my filmproject.
The problem exists after transcoding in Adobe Encore CS5.1. I checked all steps and found out that there is no problem until transcoding. My exported file  in MPEG has very good video and audio quality.
    Facts:
    1. Camcorder: Panasonic AG-AC160AEJ
Operating System : Windows 7, 64 Bit, Ultimate edition
    Source files: MTS files
    Recording settings (clip settings):
    Type: MPEG Movie
    Image Size: 1920 x 1080
    Frame Rate: 25,00
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1,0
    2. Sequence settings in Premiere Pro
Sequence was created from Clip directly with settings above.
    3. Exporting settings in Adobe Premiere Pro:
Match sequence settings was activated. Now other changes were set.
    4. Exported File:
    Video
    Image Size: 1920 x 1080
    Data Transfer Rate: 25920 kBit / s
    Frame rate: 25
    Audio:
    Bit rate: 384 kBit / s
    Channels: 2 (stereo)
    Frequence: 48 kHz
    5. Transcoding settings in Adobe Encore:
I used different transcoding settings such as automatic DVD Transcoding, CBR and VBR.I also set “use maximum render quality”. But all results were always the same: very poor quality.
Why does the encore transcoding cause such bad video quality?
How can I solve this problem?
    Please help me soon.
    Best regards.

    Hi Ann,
    1) I did not only „Automatic (based on source)“ options in my tests, but also many other customized options.
The results are very poor. I have done a new test with the following settings. The result is also poor:
    Download link: http://www.klavierlehrer-bayern.de/download/test_mpeg2dvd_1.m2v
    Export Settings:
    Format: MPEG2-DVD
    Preset: Custom
Codec: MainConcept MPEG Video, Quality: 5
    Frame Rate: 25 fps
    Field Order: Upper
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Automatic (based on source)
    Render at Maximum Rate: [active]
    Bitrate Encoding: VBR, 2 pass
    Minimum Bitrate (Mbps): 5
    Target Bitrate (Mbps): 9
    Maximum Bitrate (Mbps): 9
    GOP Settings
    M Frames: 4
    N Frames: 12
    Use Maximum Render Quality: [active]
    Multiplexer: None
    2) Why shouldn’t I use the “Match Sequence Settings” in exporting? Because of the big output file size?
I used it and the results are very good as I expected:
    Download link: http://www.klavierlehrer-bayern.de/download/test_MatchSequenceSettings.mpeg
    Export Settings
    Match Sequence Settings [selected]
    1920 x 1080, 25 fps, Upper, Quality 50
    User Maximum Render Quality: [active]
    3) I tried also Dynamic Link in PremierePro (to Encore).
    The results are also poor.
    4) I will test also LagarithLoslessCodec and frameserving +DGMPGDec. But the video is vertical long drawn-ot.
I think I did not use it correctly.
    Regards

  • Freeware menus for Adobe Encore CS5 ?

Where can I find freeware menus for Adobe Encore CS5 ?
There are not many to choose from in the program

I'm still a little confused, but that may be because you are having an odd problem.
What I think is the case now is that you were in fact missing the library.  You added the library to your system, and you do now find the files and directories in the Adobe/...whatever.../Encore/ directories. (Are you on a Mac? For some reason I got that idea, and was unsure how that would affect this.)
You do not say that you added these using the insturctions at:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/408/kb408826.html
and I do not know if the files are "registered" in any way. I believe they are not. If they are in the directories, then Encore will use them.
You do not say that you checked and the location in Encore preferences points to the location where you put the files. The fact that you now see the categories (the folder names) while you are running Encore, however, suggests that it is pointed to the right place.
BUT, when you click on one of those categories, none of the templates are there. It is as if you have the folders in the Encore library, but no files inside the folders (or the extensions are wrong).
    Do I have this right?

  • Adobe Encore CS5.1 producing DVDs with flickering video

Hey all, new to the forums but been using Adobe software for a couple of years now.
I've got Encore CS5.1 as part of the Adobe Master Collection CS5.5, and recently I've been using it to burn DVD videos.
I made a video in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 a few weeks ago and rendered it as an mp4 file in h.264 HDTV 24fps (video recorded with my Nikon D3200 D-SLR). I then imported the mp4 file into Encore as an asset (I didn't use Dynamic Link to insert the prproj file into Encore) and burned it onto a 4.7GB DVD (no menus or anything, just a simple DVD) and it looked absolutely fine on both my PC and on the TV and the recipient of the DVD was very happy with the result. The video was 28 minutes long and 6.2GB in size.
Recently I have been making more videos in Premiere Pro CS5.5 and attempting to burn them onto DVDs using Encore CS5.1, but I've not been having so much luck.
Whenever I create a DVD with Encore, the video playback is always a bit 'flickery' no matter how I import the video into Encore (have tried using both Dynamic Link and importing the mp4 file as an asset - both result in the same problem). The video playback results in flickering lines and it's really distracting. Again, I am rendering in mp4 h.264 HDTV 24fps and burning onto 4.7GB DVDs. If I watch the video in Encore on the Monitor, it also looks a bit flickery with lines showing. The video I am trying to burn onto a DVD is 25 minutes long and 4GB (but Encore transcodes it so it's just over 1GB in size I think).
I am also trying to burn another video onto a DVD which again is rendered in h.264 but is 48 minutes and 11GB in size (Encore transcodes it so it's about 2.5GB) and the same thing happens: flickery lines which is really distracting.
I did briefly have a trial version of CS6 installed and I rendered the video again in Premiere Pro CS6 and tried burning to a DVD using Encore CS6, but still got the same results. I don't have CS6 now, I installed it purely to see if CS5.5 was the problem.
I don't understand why the first video I burned to DVD using Encore was perfect and now it seems to be giving me flickery video once it's burned to a DVD whenever I use it.
I have updated it to version 5.1.0.342 which at the time of writing is the latesrt version of CS5.1.
If anybody out there could help me that would be great, thanks!

  • Adobe Encore CS5 (Mac) crashes when I create a new project

    Hey everyone,
I am running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.3) on a MacBook Pro (Spring 2011).
I just installed Encore CS5 fresh off my Master Collection CS5 DVD. When I open Encore and start a new project, once I have my settings configured, I click OK. It waits a few seconds, then Encore crashes. Adobe Application Manager sees no updates available (so no bug fixes, apparently?). What's the use if I can't even start a brand new project?
I know my details are vague, but if anyone needs additional information, let me know and we'll try to get this solved.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Are you saying that you did not install the whole MC? Have you installed at least Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder?
I wnder if there is an install issue. Encore is only provided with Premiere, and I don't know what happens if it is installed without it.
If that is not it, look at this. It is not specific to Encore, but may be relevant.

  • Adobe Encore CS5

I have purchased Adobe CS5 Master Collection which includes the programs that I use.
However apparently and I did not know this is that the After Effects and Encore CS5 versions
are 64 bit programs.  I do not have a 64Bit computer  therefore I can not run them, nor do I plan on
updating my computer for at least another 2-3 years.
So the issue is that I have the Adobe PhotoShop CS5 which works and its fine
I have Adobe Soundbooth which is fine
but the major programs that I NEED such as ENCORE and AFTER EFFECTS
    will not run.
So Where can I get a copy of the 32 bit versions as these versions were NOT
on my discs...I have searched the download areas and can not FIND these anywhere.
so I have two major issues
1: can I get the 32 bit versions of these programs which is fine for me because
bigger and better and new versions of software are NOT always better
2: Will my Product Key work with the 32 bit versions or will I need to shell out even more money

    >purchased the Adobe Master Suite Collection from a vendor at a local computer show for $129
I believe that is absolutely and 100% FALSE
I work at a University and bought the specially priced version (same as retail) for $655 - which has 4 discs and which is about 20% of retail... the absolute lowest price for CS5 MC
There is no way ANYONE is going to be able to sell CS5 Master Collection for that amount... even the upgrade version costs more
Unless I am totally wrong, you were swindled if you were told you were buying Master Collection for only $129
Having said that, a real CS5 MC has instructions at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/825/cpsid_82595.html which I found by clicking the HELP link above and then searching the Knowledge Base for

  • Adobe Encore CS5 Startup Problems

I was recently finished editing a project in Premiere Pro CS5 and decided to burn it onto a disk to see how it would look, but as I tried to open up Encore it wouldn't open and this mesage would appear:
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configurations is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
Basically, the Encore that came with my purchase of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, will not work or start up. Please help me with this as I have a project due very soon that needs to be burnt onto a disk. Thank-You!!!

Restart your system and try this again.
System restart will resolve this issue.

  • How do I export a menu created in Premiere Pro CS5 to Adobe Encore CS5?

    Hey everyone,
First time in here.  Trying some new things in CS5.  Anyway, I created a working DVD menu in Photoshop and brought it into Premiere to lay in some video and music.  The video is an inset that moves from left to right and sits atop the background created in Photoshop.  The file looks great in Premier and now I'm wanting to know how I can export this file so that it is a working menu in Encore and is the first play item for my completed DVD.  Can this be done?  Looking forward to the answers.
    GD

There are some very good Encore tutorials for making motion and video menus on www.lynda.com that you might find helpful.  If I understand what you are trying to do though, I don't think there is a direct method to accomplish what you want.
Let me ask you first, does the video inset that is moving across the screen have to continually be moving, or can you live with it moving from point A to point B at the start, then stop and become a normal menu with the video inset stationary?

  • Adobe Flash CS5 Help!

Hi. I am new here. I was wondering if someone could please help. I have tried look for tutorials but just couldn't find one that could help me do want to do in Flash. I am trying to make an animiation. I have a background with some text on it. The text says Happy Birthday and below it says Start. I added a motion preset to Happy Birthday. I made an invisible button and added that to Start since I want the animation to start when you click on start. I added the acton GoToandStop on Press and Release to go to the frame where there is an image of the presents. The action works and when you click on Start it goes over to that frame where the image of the presents are and stops. However, even when I don't click on Start it still goes on over to the frame where the present images are - I don't want it to do that. What should I do so that it doesn't do that? What I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much.

    Miguel,
Here is a link to a zip file with an FLA built what I imagine you are trying to accomplish, kind of:
    http://swfhead.com/files/FlashBasics.zip
This is the very basics of using Flash with a little bit of ActionScript3.
You'll notice on the timeline I have 5 layers.
         1. labels - this is where you will put frame label names.
         2. as - this is the layer where you will add any and all code
         3. txt_happyBirthday - on this layer is an animated text field (wrapped in a movieClip)
         4. btn - there is an invisible "_square" movieClip on stage with an instance name of "btn"
         5. Start - this is simply static text.
Open up the Actions Panel on frame 1 of layer "as" and there is a small amount of code to control the movie. There is a deal of comments to assist you.
Here is what is on that frame (it is easier to read in the file):
// The code for any mouse events needs to be imported
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
// stops the playhead at the current frame
// so it does not continue.
// This takes no "parameters" as stop doesn't
// need any to do what it needs to do.
    stop();
    // Button Code
// We want to have our "button" tell Flash to do something
    // when it is clicked.
// This is a little more complex in ActionScript3 vs AS2, but the
// following code is the most basic of all AS3.
// First we have an "event listener" for the button.
// This is so we can wait for something to happen to it
// before responding. The function at the end is what happens
// when btn hears the CLICK mouse event.
    btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, btnMouseClickHandler);
// Now we want to respond to the CLICK event
// In this first line we open the function.
// It has an event type of MouseEvent, meaning that that is
// what kind of event we are responding to.
    function btnMouseClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
// This line tells our playhead to go to and play at a
// defined frame. In this case, we have a frame label of "motion"
// on frame two. But you can also use a frame number but not have it in quotes.
              gotoAndPlay("motion");
// You can add a frame label on a frame by creating a new keyframe
// (notice how I have a layer called "labels"), selecting it, and
// adding a label in the Properties Panel.
// You can also use gotoAndStop() to stop on a frame.
I suggest starting by watching the videos on AdobeTV:
    http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-flash-professional-cs5
Also, You can learn the fundamentals of Actionscript 3 here:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ActionScript/3.0_ProgrammingAS3/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118a9 b90204-8000.html
It is a little bit daughnting but there is a lot of good info there.
This can all be a little bit frustrating at first, but don't let that stop you. Flash really does get fun from here.
    Happy Flashing!

  • Adobe Encore CS5.1

Hi, I'm an old fashion guy, I'm not in the cloud yet. Stil working with CS5.5 Prodution Premium. I have problems with my Encore 5.1: the sound! It's horrible! Music and sound effects still work reasonably, but the actor's voice...I have to pump up the volume to hear them whispering dialogues! Could you please help me?

If you received it as an mp4 movie file, the audio could be most anything. Encore does not do well with many muxed fikles (audio and video in one file). But mp3 is a poor alternative. Export an uncompressed wav file from Premiere. But there could be other issues.
