Adobe Encore Flash Files - Creating Clickable Links

I created a flash file from Encore CS5 with a menu created in Photoshop.
Two asset types are included on the menu:
1.) .tif files created from word .docx pages (FAQs and Info) and put into slideshows that are accessed by menu buttons
2.) .f4v video files exported from Premiere, encoded using Media Encoder, and put on a timeline that is accessed by menu buttons linked to chapter playlists
My 2 questions are:
1.) The tif files have text that contains weblinks. Can I create flash files in Encore that allow the weblink text to be clickable?
2.) The vid files have frames with text that contains weblinks. Can I create flash files in Encore that allow the weblink text to be clickable?

Here is the relevant part of the help file:
http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/using/exporting-projects-flash-format.html#embed_web_links_i n_your_flash_project
I think the answer to both questions is "no." The help file implies that only a button can be a web link.
Has anyone tested this? Can you confirm or correct my understanding?

  • Pdf-file with clickable links from iweb 09

How can I create a pdf-file with clickable links from a website created in iweb 09?
All iwork apps have an export button, which fulfills this task, but iweb does not.
    Any idea?

I am running 10.5.6 on a MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz. I create my PDFs via the print dialogue. I tried to create a PDF from iweb with Hyperlinks activated and all links are dead. I tried to create the PDF from the Safari window, were all links are active, and – funny enough – sometimes all, sometimes half of my links are dead. But most of them do not work. As soon as I create PDFs from third party sites, everything works fine.

  • Adding an Adobe Captivate 4 file with external links to Moodle

Hi - Does anyone know how to upload an adobe captivate 4 file so external links within the published adobe cp file open when playing in moodle?   I have attached a wmv video that does not open.  Also I have attached a swf Raptivity file that does not open.
    Thanks, Sandra

The wvx file is only really a small text file containing something like this code:
    <ASX VERSION="3.0">
    <ENTRY>
      <REF HREF="myvideo.wmv" />
    </ENTRY>
    </ASX>
It seems to just make Windows Media Player happier when loading  wmv file for some reason.  I had to resort to using this file at one client site running an IIS web server. You point your link in Captivate at the wvx file, which then loads the video.  The wvx file can have quite a lot of other code inside it to do fancy stuff.  But that's not essential.

  • Does Keynote allow you to create clickable links in pdf files yet?

I searched the forum and found a similar question that was asked back in 2005, and with newer versions of Keynote now available I hope I'm not posting a duplicate question here.
I would like to be able to use iWork's Keynote to make small, business-type cards for downloads as .pdf files and I'd like to include a clickable website url or email link, if possible.
How about doing this in Pages? I haven't used pages yet but I presume you can save the files as pdf's?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
An afterthough - if I need Acrobat to do this is there a large learning curve involved?
I see many 'Viral eBooks' and brochures being created for and by PC users, and when I download them the links are clickable on the Mac. You see lots of programs for PC's being advertised that are supposed enable you to to this, but none for the Mac. I'm hesitant to invest in Acrobat as I only want to do one or two business card type pdfs with clickable links.

    Hi Annie,
I ran a quick test and Keynote exported a slide with both a clickable link to an email address and a website. After printing to PDF (command-P/Save as PDF), there were no clickable links.
As far as I know, you need at least Mac OS X 10.4.4 for this to work, and of course Keynote 3.

  • Adobe Encore CS4 File is not valid MPEG?

    Hi!
Today, I opened up my Encore project to make a small change.  I imported new assets and changed the menu to something different and then linked my buttons to a new timeline that then linked to another timeline.
I planned to create a DVD, but while it was transcoding and error popped up that said "Adobe Encore File is not valid MPEG."
All of my assets are in MPEG2-DVD format.  The menu (both the original menu and the new one) was a video created in After Effects CS4 and the other assets were created in Premiere Pro CS4.
Both the menu and video are 720x480.
    Thanks,
    Brittany

Um, I'm not exactly sure how to find this, but I just right clicked on the video to click properties and this is what I found:
    Menu:
    Data Rate: 6455kbps
    Menu Audio Bit Rate: 1536kbps
Second Part of Menu: (I have it set up so that it when you click "Play" or "Behind the Scenes" that it looks like the camera zooms into the title on the menu.  This is in a seperate timeline.)
    Data Rate: 6000kbps
    Audio Bit Rate: 1536kbps
    Main Video:
    Data Rate: 7000kbps
    Audio Bit Rate: 1536kbps
Also, I don't know if this is worth mentioning, but .xmp and .m2v.xmpses files also rendered along with my MPEG2-DVD video.  I guess this is standard but I just thought I should mention it.

  • Is there a way to re-size to a smaller portion when creating clickable links on pdf?

    Hello everyone,
I am not sure if I will be clear on what I need, but I'll try my best.
I am currently doing a prayer book for my mom's website and need to add clickable links in the menu (so it will be more easy for the readers to simply click to go to the prayer they want to see). However, some  of the prayers don't take a whole full page and I would like to know if it is possible to re-size to a smaller zone in the page so they can only see the prayer and not the other one following it?
I have tried to resize the red square in the left side of the pdf but it doesn't change anything as it goes only diagonally and not vertically, which results in still seeing the other prayer that comes after the one I want to link to.
Can someone assist me on this? It will be much appreciated.

When you create the link choose the radio button for "Go to a Page View".
Then, when you see the dialog for Create Go To View, leave this dialog open and go to the page you want to link to and zoom into the area you want to magnify.
Once you have the magnification you're looking for, click on the Set Link button.

  • Adobe Encore crashes after creating New Project

So something weird and unexpected happened so I'm telling the whole thing. I uninstalled Premiere Pro CC and installed Premiere Pro CS6 and the uninstalled it but unchecked Encore so that I can use Encore. I never used it before. So when I open Encore and create a New Project, it immediately crashes every time! Did anybody else encounter this problem? Please help!

I am not expert on installation issues with subscriptions. But my rule of thumb is still to uninstall, run the cleaner (same tool for CC and CS6) and reinstall.
Given the symptoms, I would treat it as an install/activation issue.

  • Browser hangs when trying to open large Flash file created in Captivate 5

    Hi all,
I've created a large demo in Captivate 5 (about 200 slides) and published it for output to Flash Version 10 for distribution to my project team (sent out in a zip file). Some members of the team can open and play the demo with no problem, but a few others are telling me that IE hangs when they try to open the file. The progress bar at the bottom of the page just freezes.
Has anyone come across this problem?
    Thanks

If you sent the published output files to people inside a zip archive make sure you tell everyone to unzip the contents to a folder on their hard drive before trying to launch the HTM file and play.  I find a lot of people just double-click the zip file, which opens up the archive to browsing, and then just double-click the HTM file.  Unfortunately, because the objects inside a zip archive don't always retain relationships, things don't necessarily work this way.  So the only sure fire way for all the files to find each other properly is to unzip completely and then try to play them.
The other thing to check is which version of Flash Player your team members are on.  If you published for Flash 10, are some of them still on Flash 9?

  • How to add link to flash file (using AS 3)?

    Hi all,
I have created a Flash banner ad for our company that is to be hosted on another website. This banner ad needs to have a link added to it, within the Flash file. This link will take users straight to our website but is also for the purpose of tracking.
How do I go about adding the URL? I have searched through these forums but cannot get it to work.
I am using Flash CS4 (selected to use AS 3 when I first created the file.)
From what I have read and understood, I should create a new layer, and then add the code to the first frame on that layer?
Exactly what code should I use? I tried something as simple as 'getURL("http://www.celonova.com","_self"); ' but that is not working. Is it bcos that is for AS 2 only?
My last question is...can I set up the link so that it works for ALL frames?
Sorry about the dumb questions but I am a complete newbie when it comes to the code side of Flash:(
Thank you VERY much in advance for your help!
    Christine

    Okay all,
I found some great tutorials for using the "invisible button" method, and have gotten it all to work (keeping my fingers crossed)!
    Using AS 3:

  • Is there any way I can work on a file created in Flash 9 in Flash 8?

Is there any way to open a flash file created in Flash 9.0
    CS3 with Flash 8?
I have Flash 9 at work, but only Flash 8 at home, and I need
to work on this project today. I can't download the trial version
of 9 here either, because it doesn't seem to work on Windows 2000.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    cytherea007,
Go to work. Open the file in Flash 9. Select "File > Save
    As..." from the
file menu and select the Flash 8 file format.
Flash 9 should work on Win2k.

  • Wallaby dosenot work for flash files Indesign CS 5.5

Wallaby when used for flash files created from Indesign CS5 are successfully exported in HTML5
on the contratry flash files created from Indesign CS 5.5 are not

Just to be perfectly clear, have you tried trashing your preferences
Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990
After that well, when InDesign hangs, there are two chunks of data we can look at to see why it hangs. Please save both of them and upload them to http://pastebin.com/, and post a link here. Please don't post the data here, it is too large for this forum and makes the forum un-navigable.
Obtain both by running Activity Monitor and selecting InDesign.
    1. Sample Process. Save to file.
    2. View > Send Signal: Abort (SIGABRT). You'll get a crash report. Save to a file.
Upload both and post links here.

  • How to go back to certain pge in a flash file

Purchased a template webstie. It was a flash site. so we did
all the customization and then added some non-flash pages of text-y
stuff. The boring information kind of thing.
Each of the 4 main pages of the flash file then have links to
my plain html files. When ou hit the back button, I want to be able
to go to one of the four main flash pages, and all I can make
happen is to go back to the main page.
For example: main pages of flash are opening page, About Us,
    Families, Businesses, Forensic, Contacts
On the Families page there are links to the "simple" pages. I
want the person to be able to go back to the "Businesses" page, not
    the "front page".
    Please help.
then I'll go away. I promise.
    Regards, and thanks in advance.
    Allison

Well, it works, but isn't this sort of, uh....stupid?
Perhaps there should just be a button that creates the "back"
    button.
Can anyone do this? I'm entirely too Flash-Impaired to code
properly. Just not high enough up on that "Veering Towards Rainman"
    ladder.
Thanks for the info. It was VERY helpful.

  • Flash files with right click imported in dreamweaver files

Flash files created with Captivate which contain rightclick
functionality are imported to html files created in Dreamweaver. In
other words, I don't use the html created by Captivate but another
html file to build up a whole course. But now a couple of those
flash files contain a right click and obviously I have to adjust
the dreamweaver file with some of the script that William Heinz has
created. I am not an HTML expert and I am not 100% confident that I
can do with just endless try&error. Could anyone give me some
    hints?
I suppose I need to use the second bit of William's article
    "the more complex requirement".
When I insert the flash file this is what I get: (This is
where I am suppose to make the changes????)
    <script type="text/javascript">

    type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed>
    </object></noscript>
I am not sure what to do with the "<Body
onload='javascript:init()..... "etc as suggested by William.
Thanks for any advice on this!!!

I hope there is one person out there who can help me with
    this issue.
I have started from scratch and created a blank html with
dreamweaver and inserted the flash file (with right click
    animation) created with Captivate.
Then I made the adjustments as per Heinz and also included a
ID=Captivate1 as the RightClick.js refers to that.
The main difference between this html file and the html file
created with Captivate, is that the Captivate one also has
    writedocument bit.
Anyway, is there anybody in the world who can give me
    atip/hint/suggestion?????
