"Adobe Encore has encountered an error. [..\..\src\AMEPresetProber.cpp-258}"

Does anyone have any suggestions that doesn't involve a full reinstall, its 3 times aleady and thats getting old fast.  Encoder and Premiere Pro seem to be working ok, the issue happens when I use Dymamic Link and start to process the file, it processes briefly then the error appears.

I have tried opening Encore....new project and importing the folder of my PPro project, it appears to be transcoding with a timeline for download then the same error appears.  Derek
If you don't tell it to transcode, it is only scanning the project and/or preparing general preset information.
with a timeline for download then the same error appears.
This part makes no sense to me.
Open Encore and create a new (DVD) project. Import nothing. Add a menu from the library. Does that work?
Now "import as timeline" a video file (not a PR sequence). Does that work?

  • Adobe Media encoder has encountered an error: \Src\Init.cpp-754

What the heck? This occurs on all of my windows machines (Intel desktop, AMD laptop), trying to encode divx avi files that previously were able to be encoded in previous versions of AME.
    Anyone know of a fix?

    Then use the previous version.
AVI means nothing. I had a word document saved as AVI and PR could not handle it. AVI is just a container and can have all kinds of stuff inside, old shoes, scrap metal, chemicals, furniture, electronics, spare car parts, pharmaceuticals, you name it. The only thing relevant is WHAT IS INSIDE the container, the codec. If PR does not like it, either convert to something that is editable or use different software.

  • Adobe Encore has accountered an error [..\..\src\AMEPrestProber.cpp-265]

    Hi all,
I have used the CS5 (CS Production Premium) for four years and it has worked fine. Mainly edit High Definition, file based video (SDHC). After editing, I use the Dynamic Link to Encore to create my project and burn to Blu-rays.  Accept, since two weeks ago, all of a sudden, I cannot open or create new projects from Première Pro CS5.
The Dynamic Link takes me to Encore and then it comes up with the following message and then closes:
Adobe Encore has accountered an error.  [..\..\src\AMEPrestProber.cpp-265]
I have tried opening just the Encore and then import timeline from my Première Project, but to no avail.
I have also, deleted and reloaded Encore from disk and updated, but still not working. I am puzzled and cannot seem to get help from Adobe as it direct me here.
Whilst, I managed encode the timeline sequences from Prem Pro CS5 to Adobe Media Exporter and then imported encoded file into Encore, it seemed to take 12 hours to encode, whereas with Dynamic linking way, I am able to create project, much, much faster.
Would really appreciate some help from knowledgeable people.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Stan,
    Thank you for your response.
I meant 'Uninstalled'. Just the Encore and Pre Pro, but no the whole Production Premiums Suite. Should have I uninstalled the complete Production Prem and re-install?
I don't understand the 'Cleaner' bit? I will  be happy to try this, if someone tells me what it is and how I can locate it.
Yes, I am the Adminstrator and the only one using the PC.
I did encode the time lines in Prem Pro to .H624 Blu ray and then used these. But took too long in Encore.

  • I keep getting the Error "Adobe Muse has encountered an error and will now exit..."

I keep getting the Error "Adobe Muse has encountered an error and will now exit. Please report the last few actions you took leading up to this error to the Adobe Muse CC team. UIDs With Multiple Owners: ImageFrame owned by PagePageItem and BaseLink". I get this when I try and save and I am not sure what is causing it or, since i made several changes to the site, which actions it would have been. I am using the latest updated version of Muse. the 2014.3  I was able to publish site with changes but it did not save, so I have a web version different then what is saved. My published site is the most recent one but the saved version is one without latest changes. When I tried to merge it started updating the Assets and then showed that Error message and shutdown.

I believe you have already updated Muse version which includes fix for this issue , if not then please update Muse to latest version.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Premiere has encountered an error... over and over again

    Hello
I've been a happy Adobe Premiere Pro CC customer for 4 months until recently when I strated experiencing a problem with re-opening saved projects. I can easily start new project save them, work on them and so on but as soon as I close them and try to open them few hours later I get a message that the application has encountered an error. The line goes like this:
    c:\ppro722\releases\2013.10\shared\adobe\mediacore\mediafoundation\api\inc\... (can't see the rest unfortunately :/)
I tried opening the project in the 2014 version as well  but it didn't help much.
Any suggestions? I'm forced to finish a project in one sitting this way, which is quite troublesome.

  • Adobe has encountered an error [..\.src\AMEprosetprober.cpp-265]

I'm starting a new project in Encore CS5.5+ and this is the error I'm getting - plus a crash.  Any ideas?

New installation - starting a new project.  i am thinking about doing an uninstall - and then use the cleaner.  i also attempted dynamic linking from Premier to Encore.  This was the first attempt.

I don't recall anyone getting this error, and all Google finds is your post.
When you say "starting a new project," how did you start it?
    Using dynamic link?
    New install?

  • Encore CS6 General and src\AMEPresetProber.cpp-267] Error

I was working the whole day on Encore CS6 without any problems, and now it just gives errors.
If I open a project it gives an error "General Error" then it is followed by "An input contract violation has occurred".
When I try to create a new project a error also pops up "..\src\AMEPresetProber.cpp-267]"
Is there a fix for this ?

    I would try resetting preferences.
Hold down Ctrl-Shift while starting the program. Deletes AppPreferences.xml; program does not start.
Now start Encore; preferences file appeared to be created on exit.
See "Recreate the Adobe Encore Preferences File" in this link for windows:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/encore/kb/troubleshoot-damaged-projects-encore-windows.html
Please let us know if this works.
For Mac, see "Re-create Preferences File" here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-mac.html
If you search for the amepresetprober errors and Encore, you'll see that the few solutions reported were generally reinstalls.
    Does AME open okay?
What version of AME / Premiere are you running?

  • Adobe Media Encoder (CS5) has encountered an error (WinFile.cpp-759)

I have a 714 MB Xvid file that I want to split into smaller pieces. I have gone successfully through a similar process earlier with a larger Xvid file using the same version of Adobe Media Encoder (CS5). It appears that no matter which output video format I choose, the process crashes with the following error message shown in a new pop-up dialog:
"Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an error. [..\..\Src\Win\WinFile.cpp-759].
(Even the source program file line number 759 in the above error message is always the same, regardless of my chosen output file format.)
The only option available from this point onwards is the "Continue" button. When I click Continue the program terminates with the Windows program crash message "Adobe Media Encoder CS5 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. <Debug> / <Close program>"
My search for other similar problem reports revealed that some user(s) has/have experienced a very similar problem in CS4, but the source line number was slightly different in CS4. Both problems are probably caused by the same error in Adobe's software. The small difference in source line numbers is probably due to some (minor) and probably unrelated changes to this C++ source module (WinFile.cpp).
It might of course be the case that this particular input video file has some rare encoding or other embedded problem. However, the fact that I can view the video without problems using Windows Media Player does not support this theory.
Apart from this message board I could not find any other avenue to report this bug to Adobe (without paying for support - which I am obviously not going to do as this is clearly a programming bug in the software). Hopefully some Adobe developer responsible for Media Encoder maintenance will read this forum from time to time and would subsequently inspect the source module for any obvious defects. I could supply the source video file with which this problem can be reproduced at will.

OK, I've reported the bug in the linked location. However, I had to use "Creative Suite" as the application, because "Adobe Media Encoder" was not an available option.
