Adobe export - exported files are skewed

I purchased adobe export 3/26/2013, yesterday.  I needed to be able to export some PDF files to a docx file.  When I do this the documents are skewed.  There are no spaces between the words, so it takes longer for me do re-work the entire document.   I am not satisfied with this, and I am requesting a refund.  I purchased this online via ADOBE website.

This is a user-to-user forum; you cannot request refunds from your fellow users.
If you have technical problems with ExportPDF, provide specifics, or screenshots; "skewed" means nothing to me.

  • All my Adobe Reader (PDF) files are opening only in the secondary monitor by default, as I am workin

I am using Adobe 8 Professional and working on Windows XP. I have been facing an issue lately with opening files in a dual-monitor environment. All my Adobe Reader (PDF) files are opening only in the secondary monitor by default. There are times when I work only in one monitor and when I open a PDF file and want to have a look at it, I have to connect another monitor to view that file, since this file is open in the secondary monitor. It is very disappointing with such instances happening with Adobe (a leading organization). Can you please help so that the Adobe Reader files open in the primary monitor by default?

On a Windows system disable the preview of Windows Explorer.

  • Lightroom 4.1 exported JPEG files are not recognized by Apple Preview App

I just started using Lightroom 4.1 Trial version (coming from Aperture). I exported JPEG versions of some images using an ICC profile. On my iMac running Lion 10.7.5 the pictures do not show a thumbnail, the file on the desktop just shows "JPEG". I could not open the file with the Preview App, but I am able to open it with DPP (Canon software)? Also the file shows that it has 0 x 0 dimentions when I click Get Info even though it is about 25 Megs in size?
    The message I get is
"The file “Edit-739820120223Canon EOS 7D.jpg” could not be opened.
It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize."
Does anyone know why this is hapening?
Is it a know issue between Adobe and Apple?
Is there a fix for this?
    Thanks for help in advance.

25MB is quite a large filesize for a JPG, and this might be either quite a lot of pixels saved at a very "high" quality (not very much compressed), or it may be an extremely large number of pixels saved with medium compression.
While the technical spec of the JPG format imposes an absolute limit on maximum width and height pixel dimensions, some software employs a lower limit above which it considers the file to be invalid. Different programs, different limits, sometimes.
I have encountered this (for example) with pano stitched images using the full resolution of a large number of component shots - where JPG output could not be made, or if made, could not even be viewed as a whole by my standard image viewer (though TIFF was still OK even at still larger sizes).
If Lightroom has been set to a large printed size AND to a high ppi resolution, it is easy to get into very high numbers and very large output files. One should IMO at least question the utility and benefit of using very high ratios of upsampling from a standard digital photo - which may happen in some cases as a result of using the same output settings regardless, when spreading the same data across both small and large scales. If the file that was imported into LR really does provide an unusually high number of pixels expressing lots of detail, then that will better deserve such a capacious output file. Otherwise, each part of the file may merely show a very highly detailed representation, of a very blurry nothing-much-in-particular.
If the JPG has exceeded the viewer's size limits, a reported width and height of 0 may represent an error message, in effect - not actual reality.

  • Exported CSV files are locked by Oracle SQL Developer 2.1.0.63

Whenever I export my query result into a CSV file, the resulting file is always locked for editing by Oracle SQL Developer 2.1.0.63.
Have anybody encountered the same problem? Do you know how can I report this as a bug to Oracle?

I got it too if I left SQl Developer open then go to Excel to edit my CSV - got message 'table_export.csv is locked for editing by another user'. If I close SQL Developer then open the file, it works. Seems SQL Developer's holding onto the file after creation.

  • Exported .mov files are all 0:00s

I exported my videos from iPhoto to external G-Drive to free up space on library, but now all videos on my hard drive appear as 0:00sec and are displayed as a  still when opened in Quicktime.  How can I get my videos working again??

If you exported them incorrectly and then deleted them from iPhoto and emptied the iPhoto trash and the syhstem trash before you tested the export then your only choice it to restore your backup of the iPhoto library from before you exporte them - then export as kind = original
You can check the iPhoto trash and the system trash to see if they might be there

  • Linked Adobe Tagged Text files importing without styles

I have several data-heavy weekly publications where suddenly, the link to all Adobe Tagged Text format files have the proper paragraph styles and character styles stripped on being placed.  I'm aware of the default settings issue, where you deselect all and make sure the character styles is none, and that does not seem to be the issue. Specifics are
Working in CS 5 (Version 7.0.4)
The Adobe Tagged Text format files are exported from Excel spreadsheets
The InDesign documents have links to the Adobe Tagged Text format files, and Update Link is used inside InDesign to update the text when the file is exported from the spreadsheet.
When the publications are opened on my workstation, ALL files linked to Adobe Tagged Text files are not imported correctly, they revert to the Basic Paragraph style.
These are not new documents I'm designing or new Adobe Tagged Text files, this is part of a production process that has worked without issue for years.
When the same documents are opened on another workstation, and Update Links used, they come in perfectly, so it doesn't seem to be a document or file corruption problem, but a problem with my environment or ID settings.
It's not one specific document or file, it is every single document that has a link to an Adobe Tagged Text file (and we have lots, I tried several!)
I've opened the text files in the text editor to check them, but as I mentioned: same document, same files, I'm the only one who can't update without stripping out the styles.
    Thanks! Nancy

Hi, Peter! Thanks for the response. Yes, it's really Tagged Text. See below. After exporting from the spreadsheet and database, opening the document in InDesign, and selecting update link, we do no editing in InDesign after the fact because everything is already setup exactly as we want it with the Tagged Text format.
I have literally hundreds of these among several different documents, updated weekly, mainly dealing with prices and numbers. Every one of the links to Tagged Text format files in every publication now strips out the Tagged Text paragraph style and character style formatting on Update Link on my workstation only. On my other two workstations, the links update without issue, and everything is correct in the final document.
So I'm beginning to think I need to look at rebuilding something, maybe as Joel said, replacing preferences. I keep looking for a workstation or ID option that might effect this.

  • After importing a Light Room catalog, the files I export, export smaller than the originals - with every option of file ending.  I want to export them as DNGs but the files are reduced from around 5000 pixels to about 1700 pixels in length.

Hi All ~ Thanks in advance for your help!
I have been on a support chat with Adobe for 2 hours now and they can't figure this out but hopefully one of you can!
I exported my files as a LightRoom Catalog
I zipped the catalog and the smart previews together
I sent the zipped folder via Dropbox to a photo editor
    Editor edited the photos
Editor exported the files as a Lightroom Catalog and zipped them
Editor sent the LR Catalog back to me via Dropbox
I opened the Lightroom Catalog in LR (the pixel dimensions are the same as the originals)
I exported the photos as DNG's (which does not allow for any file size changes - I also tried JPGs and the same thing happened)
Camera Raw 7.1 and later (I tried them all just to see - and they all rendered the same result)
Embed Fast Load Data (checked on)
Embed Original Raw File (check on)
I checked the Pixel dimensions on my exported photos and they are smaller
    The original pixel dimensions are:
4912x7360 and the new size (after exporting) is: 1709x2560
But here's the real kicker!  WHEN I UPLOAD A PHOTO TO LIGHTROOM FROM MY COMPUTER DIRECTLY (not from a LR catalog), AND EXPORT THAT FILE, IT EXPORTS AT FULL SIZE with no change in the pixels dimensions!

  • Freezes when exporting .mov files in CS4 / Adobe Media Encoder

For the past 7 hours now I have been trying every internet remedy for the following problem, and was wondering if any of you nice people could help:
I just came back from a ski trip, and wanted to make an edit featuring my fiends. I recorded large parts of the trip on my new iPhone, both in 720p 120fps (120.15fps, h.264 1280*720) and the normal 1080p 30fps. iPhone files are in the .mov format. I also recorded some parts on a GoPro hero hd2 camera at both 720p 60fps and 1080p 30fps. GoPro files are in the MP4 format, and i've never had a probvlem with them.
Now all imports fine into premiere pro, and although I had a few problems with freezing while editing initially, this was quickly solved by terminating all unused (non-adobe) processes in task manager.
So I spent a good 4 hours making a 2.5 minute edit of our day, and wanted to export it.
So I selected the sequence, and went file>export>media, selected all of the preferences i wanted for exporting, and sent it to the Adobe media encoder.
The media encoder loads the files for a few seconds, and then starts the encoding process. And promptly freezes. It freezes at around 10-20 seconds (depending on export preferences) after starting to encode, and never restarts. i can then pause the encode, but cancelling it crashes adobe media encoder and subsequently also crashes Premiere Pro.
I may be mistaken here, but I have a strong suspicion that It is quicktime that is causing all this.
    So I tried the following:
    - reinstalling, downgrading, updating, etc. Quicktime
    - renaming file extensions from .mov to .mp4
    - all sorts of export preferences, from image sequences to dvd to blueray and dv. (Image sequences, interestingly, occasionally export to about half a minute into the video(also depending on preferences), then freeze)
    - crossing my fingers
    - checking for gaps in video, found none
    - updating premiere pro and media encoder
    - throwing my mouse at the wall in frustration
    - making a new project with different settings and copying in the sequence
    - disabling "Include source xmp metadata"
    - making a new user account and trying it there
Is there anything else I can try?
Could I copy the project itself into a different program (e.g. iMovie or Windows Movie Maker) and export from there?
Is there an alternative to Adobe media encoder?
    Need more information?
    Thanks for the help!
    Specs:
    Premiere version: 4.2.1
    Encoder version: 4.2.0.006
    Comp specs:
    16Gb ram
    quad core i5
256 Gb solid state (system, program files are here)
2TB HDD (video files, scratch disk are here)
    Nvidia gtx 660 graphics
    Windows 64 bit
    1 monitor

I bought quicktime pro today to try this, but to no avail. it just freezes up again during export.
I tried some other fixes on that page, like renaming files to .mpg extension, which worked once during an export of a test sequence (although everything was shifted and it cut off the export at the gopro footage).
Is there any way I can export this project to another program to export it from there perhaps?
    Thanks for the help!

  • What's the difference between PNG and JPG for exporting .idea files from the Adobe Ideas app?

What's the difference between PNG and JPG for exporting .idea files from the Adobe Ideas app?
What situations are better to export to to .PNG or .JPG?
    J

iPad apps are designed specifically for the iPad and will not run on the iPhone or iPod Touch. iPhone/iPod apps will run on the iPad, but will only take up an iPhone sized portion of the iPad screen (though you get a 2x button which effectively doubles each pixel in both directions so may appear pixelated). There are also 'universal' apps (which have a '+' symbol against them in the store) which have processing in them to recognise the device that they are on and will tailor the display accordingly (so will make use of the iPad's larger screen).

Why does Adobe flash profession CS6 can't export avi. file?
but when I watch Youtube video, there are avi file format option in CS6!!!!!!!
    Can anybody help me?
    WHY?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flash uses the Adobe Media Converter to create the video output. If you select the "Use Media Converter" option after selecting to output to Quicktime, and, if your computer has the AVI codec installed, you should be able to export to an AVI file.

  • Exported files are grainy

I have Lightroom 5.6 but still having issues with exporting, as I apply "Luminance" but images exported do not have the effect I applied! They don't even show skin smoothing effects I added!

And we are also under no obligation to believe you or Turk or anyone.  This is not a jury trial where a something is deemed true when 12 or a majority of 12 people agrees with you, nor is this a group of friends or a support group where people decide to agree with you to make you feel good because they like you or care about you, right?  This is about a potential issue with a computer program where a computer program will produce the same output given the same inputs, and we're asking for inputs, not just your view of the output.
The two green JPGs posted have camera settings embedded in them but no camera-raw settings embedded in them so what settings were used cannot be deduced from the attached JPGs other than they were processed with LR 5.5, apparently.  The uncropped exported TIFs might have this information but the JPGs do not.
I have tried camera raw files from various cameras including the 70D and I have never seen NR not applied for my exports, so this is not a wide-spread bug, that affects all files or all files from a particular camera.  Maybe there was something quirky with either the telescope JPGs or the green raw files, but without those there is no evidence of anyone to test.
Because the previous recent discussion with the telescope images seemed to be about possible problems starting with JPGs I decided to try things starting with the NO-NR green jpg.  I imported that into LR, applied Lum NR 50 and this NR setting does appear to be applied to the exported which I reimported into LR and displayed side-by-side at 1:1 zoom so differences in zoom and previewer app didn't enter into what is seen:
For anyone who wants to examine the exported JPG displayed at the right, above, here it is, and you'll be able to examine the metadata and see Luminance Smoothing is 50:
Edited:  Something appears off with the lr_no_nr.jpg included in the message, above, in that LR cannot write metadata to the JPG if I change settings and tell LR to.  Instead LR reports an error.  Just to be sure, I cleared my browser cache, re-downloaded the JPG from the message, removed and reimported the JPG into LR, then adjusted the LR Lum NR to 50 and clicked on the exclamation point and it would not work, reporting an Unknown File Format.
There was as problem with a recent version of the DNG Converter ignoring any customized CR defaults or existing XMP metadata and always applying Adobe factory defaults when converting to DNGs, not sure if it is the current DNGC 8.6 or the previous DNGC 8.5 with the problem, but if the DNG Converter was always applying Adobe defaults to things maybe whatever that bug was also affected a bit of the CR engine in LR although I do remember that LR's conversion to DNGs did seem to work properly while the DNGC's didn't.
What is important to getting any possible bug fixed is Adobe having input files that show a problem for Adobe, in house, with the current version of software.
