Adobe Fireworks print 3 more copies for nothing

hello, I have a little problem. I did a design in adobe
fireworks and I want him print that I sent to my client. Whatever.
When I print, choose to say print only one copy. I don't know why,
but even if I choose from the menu to print only 1 copy, fireworks
printed another 3 pages. So regardless of what I print, adobe
fireworks automatically printed 3 more copies (3 pages) for
nothing. I do not know what to do, but hard pisses me off. Can you
help?

It sounds like it might be a page size issue - perhaps your
Fireworks document is just larger than a single page print size,
and the parts that overflow onto additional pages are causing the
additional three pages to print. (Did you get one page with you
design and three "blank" pages? Or did it print four copies of the
same page, all with a copy of your design?)
A possible work around is to create a PDF of your design then
print the PDF. You can export direct to PDF from CS4, then check
the PDF to see if you also got 3 extra pages - if yes, just print
the "current page" from the PDF to get only your design.
If you have CS3 or earlier and you have Acrobat (or another
PDF creation tool), you can export your design as a flattened PNG
then create a PDF from the bitmap PNG file, then print from the
PDF.

  • Why does Adobe Premiere Pro offer more effects for the windows platform than Mac?

Every time I find a cool new effect that I would like to use it seems it is only offered on the windows platform.  I am a mac user and wondering why this is.

A lot of that is inertia, though. 3 or 4 years ago, I would have laughed in your face if you'd told me that we were going to move to a PC-based workflow. Then everybody stopped using FCP, Apple refused to update their Pro towers for, like, 3 years, and released a completely redesigned MacPro that has caused us more headaches than it's worth. PPro makes it super easy to bounce projects back and forth between our Macs and PCs. Mainstream computer hardware has become powerful enough that you don't need a professional workstation to edit video and do basic motion graphics. This is totally anecdotal, I realize, but our PCs are every bit as stable (or unstable!) as our Macs, and we've yet to have a single virus on either Mac or PC (mostly because I don't let warez anywhere near our boxes...). At this point, I literally can't think of a single reason to stick with Mac as a platform; if I can put together a $2000 PC that'll perform more-or-less as well as the $3000 MacPro, why would I choose the more expensive option? I guess you could say "ProRes", but I've never really been a fan of ProRes. Besides, DNxHR will be out in a month or two; that'll be the final nail in the ol' ProRes coffin.
I honestly don't mean this to come off as an insult, but I think that in 2014, anyone who tries to tell you that Macs are somehow superior to PCs just doesn't know what they're talking about. Aside from the price, the playing field is pretty level... I hope I don't come off as being an anti-Apple, pro-PC fanboi; I'm just a big fan of rational, informed decisions.

  • Is there a Adobe Fireworks CSS3 mobile pack download for Fireworks CS4?

I've found the download for CS5 (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/fireworks_css3mobile.html if anyone is interested), but is there a download for CS4?

If the FW panel doesn't work, there are a billion-and-one online tools to aid in learning CSS3 these days. For instance:
    http://css3generator.com/
    http://css3please.com/
    http://www.css3maker.com/
    http://www.colorzilla.com/gradient-editor/#
    http://www.westciv.com/tools/gradients/index-moz.html
    http://matthewlein.com/ceaser/
These are mostly designed to generate CSS based on your graphic or properties input. A good way to actually learn CSS is to find a good book (or online resource) on the subject and play with the code in Dreamweaver or using something like the Web Developer Toolbar extension for Firefox, which has a CSS Edit feature that allows you to edit CSS of a web site "on the fly".
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-developer/
Then there's always demos and articles that you can find on creative applications of CSS3. These can be educational or inspiring:

  • Adobe flash player - no more updates for linux

    Hey,
I dont know if Im in the right place, but a week ago I discovered that Adobe is not going to provide new version of flash player.
I have the most recent one, Flash Player 11.2 for Linux, but some of my internet apps require 11.5 or higher. Im not a geek and Im still quite a newbie, but I was searching in several forums and all over google and I didnt find any other alternative.
Is there any chance to run these apps on Linux? I know I can switch to Windows but its a really stupid thing. Since Im on Linux I run Windows only for gaming or using Photoshop.
    Thanks for any idea

Didnt know its that easy, thanks

  • Set print more copies in 1 time!

    Hi All
I have 1 smartform, print out to 4 copies. I write code in smartform :
                  IF SFSY-COPYCOUNT = '1'.
                        COPY = '1st Copy: FILE'.
                  ELSEIF SFSY-COPYCOUNT = '2'.
COPY = '2nd Copy: For Customer'.
                  ELSEIF SFSY-COPYCOUNT = '3'.
COPY = '3rd Copy: For Customs'.
                  ELSEIF SFSY-COPYCOUNT = '4'.
                        COPY = '4th Copy: Payment'.
I run test (F8) in smartform and set number of copies is 4, I can see 4 copies.
But when I active this smartform, set output to other transaction and print output, I can not change number of copies.
How can I set default 1 time print out 4 copies for this smartform ?

    Hi,
Before calling the FM you need to call :
    SSFCTRLOP-NO_DIALOG = 'X'.
    SSFCOMPOP-TDNEWID = 'X'.
    SSFCOMPOP-TDNOPREV = 'X'
Then ypu can use wa_ssfcompop-tdcopies. Define no of copies you need to print here.

  • Adobe Form print/email - Attach IXOS .tif images via string table param?

I am attempting to create an Adobe Form print/e-mail output for Invoices, with zero, one or many attached pages from the IXOS archive.  (TIFF files.)  So far I have managed to attach exactly one IXOS image.  Now I need to make the number of attached images dynamic.
    This is in Netweaver 7.0 / ECC 6.0 ehp 3 / LiveCycle Designer 8.1.
My ABAP driver program is a copy of SD_INVOICE_PRINT01.  In pseudocode, I've added:
Logic to identify correct IXOS image.
Logic to extract IXOS image to application server's file system.
OPEN DATASET image.tif FOR INPUT IN BINARY MODE.
    READ DATASET image.tif INTO xstring.
CALL FUNCTION 'SSFC_BASE64_ENCODE' EXPORTING xstring IMPORTING string.
    APPEND string TO string_table.
    CALL FUNCTION form_name EXPORTING attachments = string_table.
The form interface is a copy of INVOICE_INTERFACE (ABAP dictionary-based.)  I've added import param. ATTACHMENTS type STRING_TABLE.
In the form's context tab, interface import param. ATTACHMENTS was dragged & dropped onto the context pane, yielding:
    - Table ATTACHMENTS
    -- Structure DATA
    --- Field ITEM.
In Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.1, I *can* create an image field with binding ATTACHMENTS.DATA[1].ITEM - that prints the TIFF from IXOS just fine.
What *does not* work is placing ATTACHMENTS on the form as a table of image fields.  I've tried several combinations - most look like this:
    - Table or Subform ATTACHMENTS, binding ATTACHMENTS, repeat for each data item max = 1.
-- Row or Subform DATA, binding DATA[*], repeat for each data item min = 1.
--- Image field ITEM, binding ITEM.
The result is consistently one blank page.  No more, no less.
    Can anyone help?

    Hello,
I have no experience regarding the table of pictures, but you could try a workaround if you don´t insist of displaying the images. You could attach the pictures as attachments (you know, the little attachments icon on the left in your Reader). The ABAP coding for this can be found in SE38 FP_* and when you check the descriptions you should be able to find the one working with the attachments.
Would be better than nothing I guess,

  • Advised to use Adobe Fireworks

    Hi;
I am doing the Adobe Dreamweaver CS5  "Classroom in a book".
It recommends, in a couple of places, using Adobe Fireworks. On one occasion for roughing out a new design for presentation to a client, and elsewhere for image manipulation. (It was also suggesting Photoshop for producing a full sized mockup).
There is even a tip: "For years designers have started the design process in Fireworks, where they create a fully functioning mockup with menus, links and hotspots that can then be exported to a CSS-based HTML layout and edited in Dreamweaver"
Whilst reading these excellent Forums, I'm pretty sure that I saw one that suggested Fireworks was "toxic".
Any thoughts, please? Should I be looking to get Fireworks?
    Bob

As already stated, use whichever graphics app you feel most comfortable with for mock-ups and optimizing images.

  • Adobe Fireworks CS6: Frequent Crashes

Because I now have another designer working for me, I haven't been using Adobe Fireworks as much. But for a recent project, I started using it often again and it is almost unusable in the amount that it crashes.
It crashes frequently. (Probably 10-20 times per day.) I have tried all of the recommendations I've seen online that seemed applicable. I have contacted Adobe Phone Support and they sent me here, saying they don't support Adobe Fireworks over the phone. (huh?) But they did go in and reset my Fireworks preferences, which did not solve the issue. I am on a mac, osx 10.9.4, 3.4 ghz intel core i7, 12 BG ram.
I know it's a discontinued product, but I paid for this product, and love it and would prefer to still use it. If it wouldn't crash, it would be almost perfect in my opinion for web design and layout work.
I've been able to recreate the crashes when switching between "Pages" in Fireworks on semi-large files. It also crashes often when I open up more than one file with a substantial size. I will sometimes get a message saying "Could Not complete your request. An Error occurred."
Once the program crashes, I will also get a pop up that comes from the program that says:
"Adobe has found a recent workaround for this crash. Please Click Here for the Solution." (or something to that extent) and when I try to click on "Click Here" it's a dead link - it goes nowhere.
I am hoping that someone at Adobe knows where this link SHOULD go, and that there is an actual solution or workaround for the frequent crashing.

  • Where is Adobe Fireworks CC?

The only reason I pay for my creative cloud license is for Adobe Fireworks. Like me, other UX professionals use Fireworks to design Wireframes, Mockups, Prototypes using Fireworks. It seems like, Adobe is totally disconnected with the customer, and they dont really get whats the purpose of Fireworks!!! This is terrible adobe, Fireworks is the best tool for Web and Interface design, and it does it fast and quick!!!

Fireworks is dead in the water, and has been like that since Adobe aquired Macromedia. I believe Macromedia meant to drop it anyway at that time, and Adobe sort-of saved it from its demise.
Adobe is not going to continue to develop it - the way web pages are built nowadays do not fit in the slice paradigm Fireworks still uses, and that is probably why they are stumbling in the dark trying to come up with fumbled alternatives like Muse and Edge. Photoshop is still quite limited for this type of work.
Luckily enough, there are some good (better?) alternatives. Although not exactly the same toolset, I have been very happy with a combination of Photoline and Xara Designer Pro for wireframing, prototyping and mockup design.
For those who are seeking full design tools in one application that completely replaces Fireworks: Xara Designer Pro pretty much offers everything Fireworks can do, and much more:
    http://www.xara.com/us/designer-pro/
Fireworks looks a bit old in the tooth compared, and Designer Pro includes all Xara Web Designer Premium tools as well.
There's also a web designer edition.
Best thing: you can do a cross-upgrade - meaning you can use your current Adobe license to upgrade to the latest version for a 33% reduced price. I would suggest anyone in web dev/design to download the trial and give it a whirl!
And no subscription model in sight ;-) nudge, nudge, wink, wink

  • Photosmart C4580 "stuck" printing about 20 copies of each when I only asked for 1!

    Hi,
I am baffled and I need to fix this problem soon!  I need my printer.  All of a sudden, my printer started printing about 20 copies of each item when I only asked for one!  This not only uses a lot of ink, but wastes a ton of time, for the little of time I have put up with it.  Lately, I have just shut it off.  Please - any suggestions??  I thought of uninstalling and reinstalling, but I can't find my disk!  Thank you,  Soly

Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I have no problem printing the business cards out on a Canon printer, or a different HP printer I used to have, but the D110 is nothing but a pain in the you know what !  I'm using publisher and the avery 8371 card stock,  I searched solutions for days and did everything possible but still they're not printing correctly!! I'm dissapointed in this printer, every time I have a problem with something it always seems to be an HP product!!!  Very frustrating because I never had to mess with any settings in the other printers I had, I would just put the file in, change the quality and click the print button with no problems. I'm ready to throw this printer out the window Anyway thanks in advance and I hope somebody can help me with this issue !!!

  • Unable to print more copies from Photoshop CC 2014

I try to print more copies from file .dmg but printer print only one copies. I try to print with different printer (Ricoh & HP) but the problem still continuing
How con solve this problem? Is a bug of CC 2014? I never have this problem with photopshop CS4

Show how you used the print dialog capture the setting. From the position of copies in the print dialog it may be a setting that the  device driver is going to be responsible to use.  I have never set it to more then one I do multiple copies of image in documents that print on roll or sheet paper.
Do you have some add on for .dmg file type ?

  • Snow Leopard 10.6.2 recommended for Adobe Fireworks CS4

The release of update version for Snow leopard by Apple is expected to fix some random crashes which have been encountered while working with Adobe Fireworks CS4.
Once the Snow Leopard machine has been updated, the version should read 10.6.2

My experience is that there are certain .ttf fonts that are great in Windows but not at all compatible with Mac, and they can cause issues with software that uses fonts.
    Case in point:
I have two PCs and a MacBook. I have virtually Identical software suites on them all (Office, CS4, PSElements, Full sets of browsers). I also have a font library of around 5,000 fonts.
Until last month, I just ran them all from the system fonts folder.  On the PCs, this lead to slooooooooooooowwwwwwwww running in all of CS4 and Word in Office especially when I had to change a font.
On the Mac, it kept Fireworks from launching altogether. It would just crash at the splash screen.
Since I work from Time Machine and ghost backups, reformatting a hard drive and reloading everything is just an afternoon for me. I reloaded all three systems, this time with Suitcase Fusion to manage my fonts. It comes with FontDoctor to ID any bad fonts before setting up a library from the full set.
On the PCs it ID'd about 35 bad fonts and I chose to eliminate them. On the Mac, it ID'd about 135. Again, I did away with them.
End result: Office 2007 and the 2010 Beta are lightning fast now by comparison, and on the Mac, Fireworks is fully functional.
Since the only thing I changed, was the fonts (removing bad ones from each system and using a manager to activate them) I can safely say that fonts will have an impact on your software.
If FontBook ID'd them as bad, dump them. They'll likely cause more trouble than they're worth if you don't.

  • On Location is not for sale, but I need more copies of it at shoots than the 2 allowed by the EULA.

I have 3-8 cameras at my shoots.  I use On Location for capture.  After purchasing CS5, I discovered that the CS5 EULA allows '2 installations' max and there are no extended licenses available for On Location.
Now, OnLocation is not available for purchase seperately from Master Collection CS5 or Premiere CS5, so I cannot just buy a few more copies of it.   So how the heck can I put On Location on 5-8 seperate capturing laptops, without buying CS5 4 different times?
Installation of On Location alone on additional machines results in a 'activation limit exceeded' screen when I logon to the capture laptops (post installation).   I guess I could deactivate the Network Card to avoid the software communicating with Adobe, but I use it to transfer footage to my Network Drive at the end of each day
    Any insight?

I need Adobe ps printer driver for windows vista. Where can i get it? Plz help me. If yes, then where and if no, why?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

The Acrobat printer produces a PS file that is then sent to the Distiller process to create a PDF. The other PPD you mention is something I know nothing about. However, why would you want to use a different driver? The Adobe PDF driver is optimized for use in creating PDF files and other routes may not produce as good of a result. If the other PPD produces a PDF, then why are you asking about the Adobe driver?
