  • Is there a version of FoxyProxy that will work with Firefox 6.0.2?

    We are moving the Firefox 6.0.2 and need to know what version of FoxyProxy will work with Firefox 6.0.2.

  • What is the latest version of Firefox that will work with Windows ME?

    We were recently given an older Gateway laptop that we intend to use solely as an internet terminal. Alas, it is running Windows ME and I don't even know if it has all the specs to upgrade (and certainly not to Vista, which is the only thing we have an install disk for). It currently has Firefox 2.0.0.20, which of course contains numerous security vulnerabilities and is incompatible with most newer plugins. What is the best version of Firefox that will work with Windows ME, and is it still available for download? Thanks!

    Hmm... guess this will be just an e-mail terminal, hardly anything else works cuz I can't update Flash! Thanks for your help.

  • I have Firefox 5.0.1, and a theme I want to download says that it works with Firefox 4.0b9pre - 7.0a1, but at the top it says that it is not available for my platform. What do I do?

    I just downloaded Firefox 5.0.1, and one of the themes I want to download and try out says that it works with Firefox 4.0b9pre - 7.0a1. At the top, though, it says that the theme is not available for my platform. It has happened with some other themes as well, but I didn't check what versions they work with. I don't know what this means or what to do about it. The theme is at this link: https://addons.mozilla.org/z/en-US/firefox/addon/bloomind-ft-deepdark-2/

    It says:
    <blockquote>"Bloomind FT DeepDark 2" is a theme that has been created to transform the look of Firefox 4 for <b>Windows</b> users. It has been specially designed for Seven, but rendering is relatively accurate on XP and Linux (<b>I can t test it on MAC</b>, but for those who would like to try it anyway on that platform, <u>you can force download and install it</u>).</blockquote>
    So try to save that file via the right-click context menu.

  • Hi Folks - any idea when Minion will work with Firefox 6?

    Minion with Firefox 6?

    I seriously doubt Microstuff knows when they'll have a fix for it. Adobe doesn't run Microstuff, so they can't force a fix.
    Frankly, IE s-u-c-k-s, and I don't use it so I don't miss it.
    Flash does not show in (Start-All Programs) but does show in (control Panel-Programs) however, it is only 6 MB and not the 16.7 MB file download. It stops about halfway thru the download and requests IE to be closed before proceeding. In an open IE browser, the vid window shows either a black screen or nothing.
    Flash Player is a "plugin" for your browser so ti won't show in the programs as it's only a part of another program.
    The "plugin" itself is only 6mb, but there are files to run it that are PLENTY more.

    has anyone had any luck with this??
    thank you.

    I found this with a simple Google Search:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Camera-Card-Reader-Connection-iPad/dp/B005NN8V3M
    But Diovonex is correct, use the standard Camera Connection kit and transfer them from the camera directly as described in this other thread.

  • I updated Mozilla Firefox to the lastest version. How do I know whether Avast is working with Firefox?

    I got a Mozilla Firefox update, so I did it.
    A message came up saying that Avast would no longer work with it.
    I went back to your site and reported that it wasn't working with it.
    How do I get the two working together again, or do I need to go back and reinstall an older version of Firefox?

    Can't see the Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, History...Help)? Hold down the key and press the following letters in this exact order: V T M
    The Menu Bar should now be displayed permanently, unless you turn it off again (View > Toolbars). Turning the Menu Bar on and off is a new feature in version 3.6.
    Also see [[Menu bar is missing]]
    If that doesn't work, try resetting your toolbars and controls through [[Safe Mode]].

  • What is the most recent Apple OS that will work with Adobe CS4?

    I need to update my Apple OS but would like to continue using CS4. What is the most recent Apple OS that will allow me to do this, please?

    OSX 10.9.4 should be able to handle this just fine, but you will require manual intervention.

  • Latest Adobe Flash Player version is not compatible with our android tablet - can I install an earlier AFP version that will work?

    Hi...
    ...and thanks for reading this:
    We have a Nextbook Premium8 tablet that is hardly two years old. We had to reset to original factory settings, and in doing so lost our Adobe Flash Payer app. Upon trying to re-install AFP, we received a message that our tablet wan not compatible with the latest AFP version.
    Is there an earlier, archived AFP version that will work with our tablet, and if so, which version - Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81) from Sept 10, 2013, possibly???
    It seems almost unbelievable that our tablet should be this obsolete for use with Adobe Flash Player after such a short period of only two years.
    Thank you once again,
    Robert Lucas

    It's not you, it's us.  We don't make Flash Player for Android anymore.
    The last working version published for Android is missing a year and a half of security updates at this point, so I would highly recommend against running it.
    The details on why Adobe dropped support for Android are here, but yeah, we haven't released an Android Flash Player since late 2012.

    There are a few alternatives that you can use to get Flash on your phone.  They're mostly cloud-based web browsers, where they run Flash in the cloud and stream the content down to your phone.  It works surprisingly well.
    A cursory Google search for "Android Browser Flash Player" turns up these options:

  • Window.close doesn't work with Firefox

    I have used the code from the followinging reference on OTN to close my window:
    Closing brower window
    It works fine for IE, but not for Firefox. How can I make it work with Firefox?

    Hello,
    I use a couple of steps to get windows to close in Firefox. Firstly, I set win=top and win.opener=top, as below:
    function closeWindow()
    win=top;
    win.opener=top;
    win.close();
    But more importantly, you need to set a Firefox preference setting:
    Locate your Firefox preferences file - in Windows XP/2000, the path is usually C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\, where xxxxxxxx is a random string of 8 characters. Open the file prefs.js, and add the following line to the end of the file: user_pref("dom.allow_scripts_to_close_windows", true);
    Which is a bit fiddly, but the best way I've found so far...
