Adobe Flash 11.9.900.170
I am utilizing a client's applicant tracking system and need to view resumes. I currently have version 16.0.0.235 installed on my computer and I am unable to view them. I would need version 11.9.900.170 but am having a bear of a time finding this version. Whenever I go to the Adobe site to view the archived versions, I download 11.9.900.170 (downloads as a plugin), but it installs as 16.0.0.235.
Any help pointing me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated!
Hi Andre,
Here is the link to the archived flash player versions: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

Have adobe flash 11.9.900 but can't watch online movies.
Since a windows update a couple of days ago I can't watch online movies. I have 64 bit windows 8 and adobe flash 11.9.900. The screen says I have to install adobe flash 10.0 or higher in order to stream a film. I have checked and I have the most recent player.
I have also done every step on the adobe flash troubleshooting page including managing add-ons, disabling active-x, removing cache etc...no change.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, fed up with windows 8 problems.Chris,
Just followed the link and I have been on that page before and have seen the animation but this time I couldn't see it. Went to check if activex filtering was on and it was, even though I'd set it as off. It's like the computer keeps changing what's on and off at will.
On youtube, the message install adobe flash 10.0 etc comes up. On any flash games (just clicked on random site to see if it would work) it says I need to install flash. On project free tv again says install flash.
Using ie10.
Thanks for getting back to me.
--->>>> just went back on that page and could see the animation....stumped. -

FF is freezing up after installing Adobe Flash 11.9.900.152
I am running FF: 25.0.1 / my problem/problems: #1: I am receiving update information for my adobe flashplayer. I click the link, goto the site, download, install. It asks me to close FF, so I do. After the installation is complete; adobe automatically opens FF up; directing to me to their page. This is when the trouble starts. The entire FF freezes up!
I sit here and wait; eventually after app two or three mins, it says: Flash Player Installation Complete. The thing is; everything I do afterwards, is in slow motion. I have tried closing FF, and reopening. This 'does' fix the issue.
However, after a couple of hours... I keep getting information stating: update your flash player plugin. I have tried everything I know: disabling my avast antivirus, resetting my FF, ect.
*My second problem: #2: After using FF.... I close the browser. Then this little box pops up saying something about... FF has encountered a problem (close program). So I just click the close program, and the little box goes away. The thing is, my FF is already closed? This is happening directly after I close FF.
As for uninstalling FF... well, it's honestly a pain to redownload all my add-ons, find my persona, ect. This is the easy fix: uninstall, and reinstall. What I am looking for here, is a technical answer. Something that I can do without uninstalling FF.
I would really be greatful for any advice.
Thanks Much
Mikey (Raven23) USA/PAOn #1, you shouldn't need to update Flash multiple times. I'm concerned that one of those might have been a fake update. Could you do a few supplemental scans? This support article has links to recommended tools: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].
On #2, Firefox is crashing during shutdown. Firefox might or might not have some data on these crashes. Could you check for crash IDs, as described in the last section of this article: [[Firefox crashes]].
You might also want to investigate the user.js file in your profile. This article describes how to track that down: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]]. -
What is JW Player...where is adobe flash player?
I have adobe flash 11.9.900.152, but I noticed I can't download videos anymore. When I right click on video it says it's JW Player 3.15...what is going on?
JW Player blocks downloads by some downloader plugins. I use Ant Video downloader with Firefox and have never been able to download a JW Player vid with it. Some sites are switching to it to protect content.

1/13/2014 I download Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX version 11.9.900.170 for the 5th time in over a week and keep getting a corrupted version that is playing audio from a unknown source when I am not on the internet but using one of my software. I have downloaded with abc go.com and NFL.co and I get the audio in background that is not part of what I am watching and can not turn off because it is playing thru your player software. I uninstall it and no audio, as soon as I download it again the same problem, then I have to uninstall gain, I just uninstalled again.
Flash Player is"playing" the audio... IT ISN'T CAUSING IT.
You have what's known as "adware" that has hijacked your browser.
Usually it opens a window with a javascript, either minomized, or as a "popunder" or it can set it to open "offscreen", and then it plays where you can't see it to close it. You need to run a thorough system scan, and check your browser plugins, as well as look for suspicious programs in your Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features section.
Again, Flash Player ISN'T the cause. It's just the mechanism by which this malware is delivered. -
Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.170 videos
I am having problems with the latest Flash Player 11.9.900.170 on Windows 7. I followed all the instructions after installation and everytime that I go to a website the Adobe Flash Player Settings box covers the video with "allow" or "deny". And no matter what I set the download setting, this box is always blocking the video and if I hit "allow" or "deny", nothing changes?
You can set your storage settings here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.htm l
It is recommeded that you allow data to store temporarily for playback. -
Adobe Flash Version 11.9.900.170
I am having trouble installing version 11.9.900.170. When I go to Adobe's site for archived versions, download it and attempt to install it, it installs version 16.0.0.235 every time. I need version 11.9.900.170 to view documents on a client site.
If someone can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it!Hello,
Please ensure you are downloading the correct file. 11.9.900.170 is available for download from this link, http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_11.9.900.170_archive. zip. I downloaded the zip file and installed Windows ActiveX Control and NPAPI plugin and it installed 11.9.900.170 for both.

I think this exception is thrown if I click on my hard drive’s symbol in the installer.
I have the same problem when I try to install Microsoft’s last Office update. Maybe there is a connection?
I tried several older versions of the Adobe Flash Player installer, but they didn't work as well.
Perhaps we have some kind of "Mavericks" problem here?
Any help would be highly appreciated!
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind regards
OliverFinally found the issue here:
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3889562?tstart=0
Somehow a empty file /System/Library/CoreServices/ServerVersion.plist has been created.
If I understand this right this file is only needed if you use Mac OS X Server.
As suggested in the support forum I deleted the file (renamed it to _ServerVersion.plist) and after that every installation, including Adobe Flash Player and Office 2011 update worked!
Thank you very much,
Kind regards,

I had Adobe Flash Player v.11.9.900.170 and upgraded to v.12.0.0.43. When I checked the Add-Ons manager, both Flash versions were listed and active. I de-activated the earlier version, and now some websites indicate I do not have Flash. When I re-activated the old version, the video played fine. So what's the deal with it being necessary to have TWO versions of the Flash Player installed, the current one AND a previous one? Seems hinkey...
@the-edmeister: Thanks for the tip, but it seems to be working OK now; tested on various sites with Flash. It may just be some bad code on Yahoo's part (wouldn't be the first time), and the Captcha works, just not its audio. Still testing, but seems like the double Flash versions issue magically solved itself, even without a re-boot. Perhaps just some squirrelly code from Adobe...

Is there an adobe flash player version 11.9.900.154?
I suddenly was not able to print kenken puzzles since the numbers don't appear. Kenken support said that if I had adobe flash player version 11.9.900.170, which I do, I would need to change it to 11.9.900.154. I looked in the archives, and no such version appears. Is there something equivalent? Does anyone else sucessfully play kenken?
11.9.900.154? No. the previous release to 11.9.900.170 was Flash Player 11.9.900.152, so they're feeding you a line. Before 152, it was Flash Player 11.9.900.117
Kenken works with Firefox and 11.9.900.170 on my Mac, and my Windows 7 machine. -
Error code 1605 when installing Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX 11.9.900.152
Hi there everyone, this is my first post over here.
I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find a 1605 error code linked with Adobe Flash.
I'm working on a project to fix Adobe Flash installation failures. The current error i'm stuck on is 1605
The installs and uninstalls are already packaged, i only have around 5 failures so far, we have many successful installtions so I know the package isn't corrupt.
Here is the installation log file

I see a differen't product code getting removed on other machines and that's prob because they had a different version of flash installed.
I was however able to install adobe flash versions 11.8 and below successfully, it's just versions 11.9 that fail.
Any advice will be greately appreciated, thanksHey the cleanup method didn't work.
However, i could get the latest flash installed without the package, for some reason it keeps failing with the package. Version 11.8 and under installs with the package.
I know the package works because we've used the same package for thousands of other machines and they've worked.

Cannot use Adobe Flash Player after latest update to v11.8.800.170
I just updated Adobe Flash Player to the latest version 11.8.800.170 on Chrome v30. I am using windows 7.
Most of the videos I try to watch on youtube have audio, but no video. Some of them freeze Chrome (use up a ton of memory on my PC).
I tried going to settings, can't see the dialogue, hence I cannot disable hardware acceleration.
