Adobe flash crashing programs?
Yesterday I updated Adobe Flash Player, and now I am having all kinds of unnatural behavior on my MacAir.
MS Word crashes, or freezes and Pages is not working properly. there is a constant loud whirr like the guts of the MacAir are about to fly out.
My computer is now freezing.
Am I correct in assuming it is the Flash Player, or what should I check?
Can I get along ok without the Flash? I would like to just dump it!
Do you think you responded to an update after going to a website, rather than an actual Adobe update ?
I ask as does the last respondent, as there are a couple of false updates on the web at present
see this link if you got this type of update request
http://www.intego.com/mac-security-blog/new-flashback-variant-changes-tack-to-in fect-macs/
If not, then you can always remove Flash, there is an uninstaller via the Adobe site
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
Then just run Google Chrome to get to flash sites, as it's got a built in flash player.
At least this way you'll know for sure if flash is the culprit.

Adobe flash crash when I try to upload photos to created album on Facebook . Is this related to the new version of Mozilla Firefox that I installed few days ago.
== This happened ==
Not sure how often
== This morning July 18th 2010Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC. -
Adobe Flash crashes and other questions about Flash
There have been several instances of Adobe Flash crashes whether I am using Firefox, IE or Google Chrome browsers - and simply reloading the page corrects this BUT recurs again and again.
I'm running Windows 8.1 64bit in which the Flash program apparently comes embedded in the OS as a 32/64 bit hybrid. When I inspect the Flash version add-on in Firefox, and run an update check, Adobe reports, correctly, that my system is Windows 64bit , English, Firefox. Then, when I do the same in Windows Internet Explorer by checking the embedded version, I get a message that KB2999249 is available for download to correct Flash issues in IE. Since that install, Flash hasn't crashed in IE [yet].
So, my question is: How can I be certain that when Firefox reports that Flash is "up-to-date" that it is indeed a 64bit compatible version? Note that the Adobe download site only identifies one available version for Firefox, IE and Google - the current version being 15.0.0.152 file: NPSWF32_15_0_0_152.
Does the "32" part of the file name suggest that it is a 32bit application and, if so, where can I find NPSWF64_15_o_o_152 [if it exists]?
''edited the title of this thread to reflect the questions asked''I now understand the version nuances between the browsers and thanks for the response. Now what, if anything, can I do to address the continuum of Flash crashes since I find it difficult to believe that I'm the only user experiencing this anomaly?

Yoga 13: Adobe Flash crashing with Transitions?
Whenever I have Firefox open and flip from laptop to tent or tablet mode, Adobe Flash crashes. This is a major annoyance because really the only time I go from laptop to tent or tablet mode is when I am watching a video within Firefox. I've searched Google but haven't found anything... I have the latest version of Flash (11.6.602.180) and the latest version of Transitions I've found on this horrible Lenovo site.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem, and have you found a fix? Thanks in advance!I, too am having this issue - however instead of crashing, my PC usually slows down. For anyone at Lenovo that cares to actually test this issue - just open up any web browser and watch a YouTube video. Play the video in laptop mode. Then when you're done, switch to tablet mode and play it again. That same video will either become choppy or crash. Likewise, when I try to use a program to play DRM videos (Vudu) or play flash-enabled games I have the same issue. I have tried to look at task manager and do a comparison of programs running before and after transition to tablet mode, and all I can see is a .1% spike in memory usage by Lenovo Transition.
I think this is a more recent problem as I don't remember this being an issue from the start, but I can't identify how recent. I used to play a game called SoulCraft from the Windows 8 store back in January. This game is most easily played in tablet mode, and it played perfectly. It quickly got old and I stopped playing after about a week. I came back to it about 4 weeks ago but it was choppy in tablet mode. When in laptop mode it plays fine. So I reckon that this issue came with a software update that occurred sometime between late Jan and early Apr. That's just my speculation, though. I have also installed/uninstalled programs which may be messing with the transition software. -
Send Adobe Flash crash repot link is missing
When Adobe Flash crashes, I just get the gray screen that informs me that it has crashed. When I look at me home page I see info about how if I want to send a report I just need to click the link, "send crash report". That link is NOT on that gray page. When I look in the Firefox preferences, Advanced, General, there is NO check box for turning the crash report on and off. So, when Adobe Flash crashes, I am unable to report the crash. I also used the plugin check to see if Adobe Flash needed an update, Adobe Flash did and when I selected what would be the appropriate version,{apt:adobe-flashplugin?channel=$distro-partner}, Firefox said, "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (apt) isn't associated with any program." so I picked the version for Ubuntu 8.04,{http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/?installer=Flash_Player_10.1_for_Linux_(.deb)}.Downloaded and Installed. Then I come back to plugin check and Firefox still says Adobe Flash needs to be updated.

How can I watch presentations that are devedores by the Adobe Flash Player program in the IPad?
Search any of the iPad, iPhone or iPod touch forums for "flash". You'll find a number of threads on the issue with suggestions for alternative app/service combinations that allow viewing of some Flash content.

Adobe flash crashes only in Firefox.
This is driving me nuts. Adobe flash crashes every time in multiple sites. I have reset Firefox, uninstalled every add on to test them. Right now there are no add on's (post resetting Firefox).
Going down the list of fixes here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/adobe-flash-plugin-has-crashed
-Yes, the plugins are all up to date
-I cannot disable acceleration because if I right click on the red box (located here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues), I get the message that the shockwave flash plugin is busy or ahs stopped working
Help!I'm not seeing the plugin-container or the Flash plugin in the screenshot.
You would have to check when page that uses Flash is open.
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*check for updates for your graphics drive drivers<br>https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Why does Adobe Flash crash all the time? It is really annoying and I'm considering using another browser.
Please tell me how to fix this.Try to uninstall your current Flash version and update Flash to the latest version.

When i wath youtube adobe flash crashed and in instell last firefox and the last adobe flash
when i wath youtube adobe flash crashed and in instell last firefox and the last adobe flash
A couple of things:
* Upgrade to Firefox 13 (you're currently running 12). Select Firefox > Help > About Firefox to upgrade.
* Check if your Flash plugin is out of date on this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/. If it is, follow the instructions on the page for upgrading Flash.
Hope this helps! -
Ok. I have read several different fixes on several different forums, but so far I haven't heard of a solid fix. My Adobe Flash Plugin keeps crashing on my computer. Its getting slightly irritating. I have been to the Adobe forums and the only answers I seem to get over their is finger pointing at your Graphics card being the problem. I know mine isn't because it is brand new. I can run any top end game on my system and my system will barely lag if at all, so I know it isn't memory and Graphics related, yet when I go to load a few tabs on Facebook, The Browser will start lagging real bad and eventually either hang completely or Adobe Flash will crash. I don't believe it is a Firefox issue, although the New Firefox Beta's do have issues they are working on resolving. I firmly believe it is either a compatibility issue somewhere between Adobe or it is just a programming problem in Adobe. I dunno tho. Like I said It is getting really frutrating having to send an error report and either reload the page or shut the browser down completely and restart the Firefox. Does Anyone have any ideas as to whats going on or any Solid fixes? Please don't tell me to talk to the people over at Adobe again. lol. If I hear Its a problem on your end one more time I will scream. lol.
Safe mode disables the installed '''Extensions''' and themes ('''Appearance''') in '''Tools '''('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Add-ons''' as well as Firefox's hardware acceleration which can also be manually disabled via '''Tools''' > '''Options '''> '''Advanced '''> '''General '''> '''Use hardware acceleration when available'''. If it is okay in safe mode + all plugins disabled except Flash, you can try to narrow down the cause from there.

Adobe Flash Crashes, no sound.
Hello,
I am constantly battling Flash, and resetting my computer because the sound will abruptly stop working. I was hoping that someone could provide some insight. I am currently running Windows 7 64bit, and flash crashes on all of the web browsers that I have (latest versions of Firefox, IE and Chrome).
I am unsure if this is related or not, but the sound will abruptly stop working for my Steam Games as well as Spotify. Are these adobe based systems as well? Other programs, such as Diablo III work just fine with no sound issues what-so-ever.

Firefox keeps crashing cause the Adobe Flash plugin. Updated to Firefox 3.6.10 still no help. No previous updates for 3.6 have helped either. Forced to swap for Google Crome? Is Googleplex involved, suddenly the most stable browser has become useless. I go for Internet Explorer. Support Bill Gates.

Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.<br />
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Need help with adobe flash crashing my computer.
i use firefox is this a problem with adobe flash?
You might want to give some specifics. Other then my computer crashes with Adobe....Not to be a S.A but there are a lot of different Adobe programs and computers. You mention FF so Windows would be my guess, or you could be running Linux. Do you see the variables here? What kind of computer? Not a Desktop or Laptop or Dell or HP. Specs like GPU, CPU, Memory. Program running, what you were doing, etc. The more detailed you are the more a user can hop in and try and help you.

Adobe Flash crashes every time I use it in Firefox
I am tired of Adobe Flash constantly crashing on me using the latest versions of Firefox and Flash. I have tried updating both Firefox and Flash to the latest versions. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration. I have uninstalled Realplayer. NONE OF THESE RECOMMENDED SOLUTIONS have helped. This is making Firefox unusable for me. I am having to use Chrome now. Help me.
Hi savandarm, you may need to disable some advanced features to get Flash to work correctly.
'''(1) Hardware acceleration (triggers graphics card driver incompatibilities)'''
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here (this takes effect after you restart Firefox):
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
(B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
'''(2) Protected mode feature (spawns multiple external Flash processes)'''
The following pages provide different ways to disable the feature:
* Adobe support article under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]
* Manual steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/968190?page=5#answer-509209
