Adobe flash does not play in Firefox on my tablet under android 3.2. WHY

samsung Tab 10.1 android 3.2 , Ihave installed my preferd browser Firefox.
When i am forced to use the generic android browser adobe flash content plays properly, when using Firefox. adobe flash does not and it asks for a plugin to be installed, to date i have not been able tp locate the flash plugin for firfox in android 3.2. Is there any help for this??

Originally, Firefox Mobile was not going to support binary plugins, just pure web code, but they had a change of heart and plan to add it in the next major release. Not sure whether the following is up to date -- it refers to Firefox 13 Aurora, which may be a beta by now:

  • Ogv video does not play in Firefox 3.6 on a server

    I have successfully create an ogv video in Firefogg. The video plays on my local computer in Firefox. However, when I put the video on my university server, the video does not play any more. Here is a link to the video: http://www.iupui.edu/~streamit/huang/html5video/html5video.html
    I don't know how to solve the problem. Help. Many thanks.

    No problems here on Linux, that video plays for me.
    Try:
    * "Clear the Cache": Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    * "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • Flash content does not play in Firefox

    PROBLEM:
    Videos and Flash content hang in Firefox. The screen is grey and the twirling circle is frozen. This is a recent problem; this behavior is new and it is unclear what has changed in my system.
    1. The problem does not occur with I.E.
    2. Win8 , Firefox, and Flash plug-in are current.
    3. Running Firefox in safe mode does not help.
    4. I have removed and reinstalled Firefox , Flash, and RealPlayer
    5. Java is working.
    ''temporary'' SOLUTION:
    Deleted RealPlayer
    ''edited by a moderator''

    Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.

  • Flash does not work with Firefox following Windows Vista update 14/5/2014.

    Flash still works with IE9. I've carried out all steps in http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or.html, i.e. twice updated Flash to V13.0.0.214 (previously V13.0.0.206), activated Firefox Flash add-on, deleted browser data and cache and disabled hardware acceleration. Nothing fixes it! Vista SP2, Firefox 29.0.1.

    Apologies for vague "does not work" from me - and sorry for delay replying. What I understand to be "rich media content" did not display. For example, all text and images in this screen clip from www.metoffice.gov.uk appeared as a single blank grey rectangle. In other websites links displayed in a basic underlined font instead of rich formatted text/images, or video and audio links were completely missing from an otherwise fully rendered webpage.
    However in the last hour Firefox has starting behaving properly again without any further diagnostic efforts from me! For six days some graphics and links have not displayed in Firefox, yet IE9 has behaved perfectly. This has happened a few times before, normal service being restored (in hours rather than days) either by updating the Flash plug-in or for no apparent reason.
    Any thoughts in case of future re-occurrences would be appreciated. Thanks Pat for your time and help.

  • SWF created in CS4 Flash does not play from web server

    I published a Flash movie in CS4, which includes the following ActionScript 3.0 code to allow people to click the movie to open a new web page; but it will not play from the web server...however, it plays just fine from my local hard drive in Firefox and IE 7.
    It  is an html file with an embedded .swf and I made sure to copy over the  swfObject.js, AC_ActvieX.js, AC_RunActiveContent.js, expressInstall.swf, and  swfobject_modified.js files to the correct directories.  The address is: http://www.giseldemarco.com/introduction.html and as you will see,  there are no errors...just a blank page.  I even tried changing the script  from:
    <script  type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    swfobject.registerObject("FlashID");
    //-->
    </script>
    to  this script:  <script type="text/javascript"  src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/swfobject/2.2/swfobject.js"></script>, but using this script generates a lot of CSS and other errors.
    Nothing  works.  The ActionScript code I used is:
    //Link to website
    Site_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,visitSite);
    function visitSite(e:MouseEvent):void{
        var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://giseldemarco.com/Home/Index.html");
        navigateToURL(req,"_parent");
    I am at a loss here...any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you.

    Nothing new... Flash developers fall for this all the time...

  • Embedded swf in pdf does autoplay in IE(9), does not play in Firefox and Chrome.

    I created a pdf with swf embedded. Set it to autoplay.
    Does play fine in IE9.
    In Firefox and Chrome video shows up (initial picture) with a play button.
    Will not play, not auto nor when I click the play button.
    Firefox and Chrome I just downloaded, so the newest versions.
    Windows 7 professional.

    Found the solution for Firefox.
    In firefox, goto tools/options.
    Look for Portable Document Format (PDF).
    Select it and in drop down choose Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) instead of Use Firefox (Default)
    Thanks but no thanks, Acrobat team.

  • Adobe TV Does Not Play

    Read them all. None of the suggestions help.
    Uninstalled / reinstalled FP.
    Emptied cache.
    Deleted plugins. Reinstalled.
    Reset FP settings and Global settings.
    Uninstalled VirusBarrier.
    Turned on and off firewalls.
    IMac with latest OS + 16 gig RAM.
    Latest Safari and Flash Player. (Uninstalled, restarted iMac, reinstalled)
    Here's the kicker. BEFORE, Adobe TV was working fine. Still does on my MacBook Pro (i5).
    Then one day... No more Adobe TV lunch breaks. Adobe TV pages sit with a black box.
    It will not connect to stream video.
    Help!

    Michael here's what I discovered. FOR WHATEVER REASON... when Flash Player 11.3.x installed via the automated version update check. It whiped out the settings neccesary for the Adobe TV to work.
    Here's what I did. And it worked.
    1. Uninstall Flash Player 11 from your computer.
    2. Restart your computer to get a clean start.
    3. Find Flash Player 10.x. Most likely in your Adobe CS 5 or CS 5.5 folders. INSTALL IT.
    4. Now open an Adobe TV video. RIGHT CLICK the screen. Select GLOBAL SETTINGS from the menu.
    5. The Adobe Flash Player Help Page is launched.
    6. Select from the side menu – Global Storage Settings panel.
    7. Check both boxes in the control panel window. (SEE IMAGES BELOW)
    8. Select the Global Security Settings panel. Add the two to be trusted. (I did this for good measure.)
    Then my Adobe TV videos started playing again.
    The FLASH Updater popped up again to install 11.3.
    To see if I was dreaming... I allowed it to install 11.3.
    It did. And you guessed it... NO MORE Adobe TV!
    I could not find a setting for a Global Settings link through 11.3 nor the same settings regarding allow 3rd Party storage to memory.
    SO...
    I followed steps 1 - 8 again.
    BAM! I'm back in Adobe TV Land again.
    Hope my painstakenly learned knowledge and wisdom helps you out. Pass it on!
    There's too many people out there struggling with this and honestly, Adobe hasn't been much help with it.

  • All videos require reload of Adobe Flash & will not play after reload

    ALL videos ask for an Adobe Flash update reload but do not allow the video to play. Firefox plug-in menu shows Shockwave Flash 10.1.82.76 installed & enabled. What more can be done?

    This seems like a problem with Flash. Have you contacted Adobe about this?

  • Adobe Flash does not work, even when enabled.

    The Adobe Flash plugin doesn't seem to work. Well, it's there but doesn't show any Flash content. In other words, it just shows the background of the site (or blank). Sites are able to detect Flash if it's disabled. No other addons or plugins are interfering with it. I can't update Firefox or Flash.

    Hi,
    In summary
    * check IE works with Flash content at present
    * download and install Firefox 14+
    * uninstall Flash 11.3 and install Flash 10.3
    * post back with how you get on
    * note these are temporary workarounds until developers fix the problems.<br> Whilst these problems exist upgrading FlashPlayer as advised by Adobe Flash, or by Firefox's pluginchecker may not be a good idea.
    First of all I note you seem to be using the old Firefox 5. That is no longer supported and is not secure. I would suggest you update to Firefox 14 either by using the menu option
    * Help -> About Firefox ->Upgrade
    * or by visiting http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
    Secondly note there may be some problems with use of the current Flash 11.3 versions. Some Firefox users are needing to uninstall tht and downgrade to Flash Player 10.3 (older but secure) or Flash Player 11.2
    This problem has had developer attention for a few weeks but there is no sign of a proper solution yet. Note at least some of the problems relate to a new security feature ''protected mode'' used by FlashPlayer on windows systems above Windows XP.
    As a Windows user you may wir=sh to check if FlashPlayer works ok on Internet Explorer ? It should do. (But you may have problems if you follow the official advice to use an Adobe uninstaller, you may need to review the IE installation of FlashPlayer afterwards.)
    Note the fact that your problem relates to FlashPlayer 11.3 is at the moment no more than a guess, based on the number of known issues at present (and the sytsem information aside that indicates you are using flash 11.3).
    The current standard official advice is :
    Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox 13 are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.
    In order to remedy the problem, please perform the steps mentioned in these Knowledge Base articles:

  • Captivate 7 HTML 5 publish does not play multiple videos on same slide on Android devices

    Hello,
    I have a captivate module which has 2 videos on same slide. There are 2 buttons, clicking on which the videos appears. However when i test this on iPad or any Android device, it plays on 1 video. I used Event video. Can someone please help me on this?
    Regards
    Manoj

    I don't think you are missing anything. I am using the "Light_PAssage" animantion, but switching to the one you used has no impact.
    For me, if there is a text animation on slide one, it will play in File->Preview->Play Slide. It will not play in FIle->Preview->Project, From this slide, or Next 5 slides.
    The issue occurs in all my Captivate 5 projects, including projects that previously generated properly working outputs as recently as 2/23/2011.
    Is it possible it's related to Flash player? I am using Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX 10.2.152.26.
    I will send an example cptx to your email address. The example includes a blank slide one, and the text on slide 2 plays as expected in the previews and in the generated output. If I remove the blank slide 1, the text animation on the new slide 1 no longer plays.
    Thanks.

  • Why doesn't the Adobe Flash Player plugin show in Firefox's "Plugins" window under Mavericks 10.9.3?

    My specs are:
    Mavericks 10.9.4
    Firefox 30.0
    Flash Player Plugin 14.0.0.125
    The plugin is visually verified to be properly installed in the "Internet Plug-Ins" folder in the main library, and not the user library.

    Hello all,
    My doubt was correct. It was all due to the blank device list. After lot of struggle I found this solution worked for me:
    1. As soon as the plug-in tries to access webcam, it will show you "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
    2. Click Deny then Close to close it
    3. Now press tab key on keyboard. It will highlight (in yellow) and show list of devices in video device dropdown control (This could be little bit tricky and you need to put little bit more efforts to see the list). You can now select your webcam as device here.
    4. Press Tab key again to go audio dropdown and select audio device.
    5. Then right click and bring up "Adobe Flash Player Settings" again.
    6. Under Microphone and Camera tabs, make sure we select same devices we selected in 3 & 4 above
    7. Come back to privacy tab and this time chose "Allow" and then close "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
    8. You should now see the camera images in the plug-in
    Conclusion: This is a workaround worked for me. Plug-in is quite unstable and there is definitely something here Adobe Flash Player plug-in developers need to do about.
    Hope this workaround helps many other users.
    Thanks,
    Struggler

  • Flash does not play smooth in Ubuntu 10.04 using Firefox or any other browser

    ubuntu 10.04 64bit
    Firefox 3.6.3
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100423 Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) Firefox/3.6.3
    Flash Player version 10,1,53,64
    I have a dual boot configuration with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04 64. While flash videos are watchable, they are not nearly as smooth in Ubuntu 10.04 64 as in Windows 7 especially when I switch to fullscreen. I use firefox as my default browser in both operating systems. Actually, I have tried the newest versions of Google Chrome, SeaMonkey, Opera and others yet the problem still remains. I have tried disabling Compiz as well. Nothing seems to help except switching to Windows 7 to watch fullscreen flash videos. While this works, it is not the solution that I would prefer. Anyone know any way to make flash videos in firefox or any other browser in linux play as well as they do in Windows?

    You're welcome. Glad I could help.
    If you haven't done so, using Disk Utility in your Applications/Utilities folder.
    Thanks for the and Aloha from Big Island.

    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/776670
    Looking through the thread, it seems like several different problems all manifesting themselves in the same way. Some people had to disable hardware acceleration in Flash, others had to delete their profile, and others yet just had to clear their cache... makes no sense.
