Adobe Flash is not downloading on my computer.

When I try to veiw news videos from my Comcast page, I get a message that says I need to download Adobe Flash. I've downloaded several times and get a message saying that it's finished but continue to get the download message. Why doesn't the download work.

Windows 7, Internet Explorer. I have been installing it, over and over again! I get the message saying I've finished but continue to get the error message saying I need to download it. I just called Comcast and they couldn't figure it out either and suggested I contact Adobe.

I just spent a frustrating hour finding this out the hard way.
I do wish my cloud home page announced that face in big writing just above the Edge products that I could see from my XP computer.

Must seem like such a natural train of thought to an Adobe employee. But it's not how non-tech people think.
Unfortunately this post betrays the fact that Adobe does not understand how many of its customers, especially newbies, work in these situations.
No-one goes to a download link, fails to find it and 'immediately route your thoughts to "may be it's not supported on the OS configuration"'.
Hiding the download icons (for whatever "valid" technical reasons) simply wastes the user's time and starts a guessing game which creates confusion, frustration and anger.
The first thought is usually confusion, followed by wild guesses along the lines of:
Perhaps the website is broken or buggy
Perhaps my browser is broken or buggy
Perhaps my computer is broken or buggy
Perhaps I have done something wrong and must reinstall my software and/or operating system
All very unnecessary.
Confused, they then post in the forum.
Take a look throughout the forums to see this sentiment time and again.
Add a note to the Cloud homepage for non-geeks who don't think technically.
It's not that difficult.

Unless you're on a company computer and locked down to prevent using anythng else, I'd recommend you drop Microsoft's pathetic excuse for a browser and download Firefox.
Then install the Flash Player Plug-in (For other browsers), and free yourself from the chains of the guys in Redmond, WA who can only seem to get things right 50% of the time.

Try logging out of the CC Application and restarting your computer. Also, try running the CC app as an administrator.

I am currently trying to get on to my personal banking website, but when I try to get to the home page it tells me that I need to download the current version of Adobe Flashplayer. I have gone through all of the steps that they walk you through for enabling and disabling certain things, as well as going straight to the Adobe website to try to download it from there. Hi, Try a clean installation of the Flash Plug-in as follows. First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder. Flash Player Uninstaller. When the download has completed, close all browser windows, open your Download folder and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook. Next, ( unless you already have it ), download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading. Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer. Launch Firefox and see if your banking site works Ok in this browser - if it does, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. I finally figured it out. Flash Player had not installed. I had to de-activate Active-X thru the safety tab on the menu bar and then download the Adobe Flash Player and now it's working. I re-activated Active X after I finished installing Flash,. Hope fully everything will keep working fine!

I registered just so I could try to help with this problem. I LITERALLY was having the same exact problem for a long time. I finally found a solution. Here is what I did:
*If Using Firefox:
1. Start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding the Shift Button and double clicking the firefox browser icon. It should give you the options to "Start in Safe Mode" or "Reset Firefox". - Start in "Safe Mode".
2. Download the newest flash player from adobe's website.
3. Download the Adobe Flash UNISTALLER from Adobe as well.
4. Close the browser and run the Adobe Flash Player UNISTALLER.
5. Once complete, locate "C:\Windows\System32" folder on your C: drive.
6. Find the folder called "Macromed" and DELETE the entire folder.
7. RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.
8. Once computer starts back up, hold the SHIFT button and double on the Firefox icon to launch it. This time when presented with the option to start in "Safe Mode" or "Reset Firefox", click "RESET FIREFOX".
9. Once it completes, close the browser and RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AGAIN.
10. Once it starts back up, install the Adobe Flash Player. When that is finished. RESTART your computer one last time. ***This last time is to verify that after your computer is turned off and back on, the flash player will still work.****
11. When your computer starts back up, open the firefox browser NORMALLY and go to a site like youtube that uses flashes. If the videos play correctly and you dont receive a message about installing flash player,......CONGRATULATIONS!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
12. ****OPTIONAL!!!**** - Go to firefox addons and check to make sure all of your plugins are up to date. You should see adobe flash player in the list as up to date. If so, restart your computer one last time, start the browser agin and check your plugins once more. If they are still up to date, you're problem is officially solved.
