My adobe flash p;ayer plugin is crashing many times a day for over a month now using the facebook games, I sent crash reports in many times stoped now, just reload page, this is getting to be a big pain in my butt. I also unistalled the plugin and reinstalled many times to try to correct this, still crashing....

Reloading the page will often get the video, game or animation to play again.
If Flash continues to crash, updating to the latest version of Flash should fix the issue.

  • Adobe Flash Plug in file - crashing in facebooks and other sites

    Hi
I have never had problems with adobe flash until last week. When I play games in Facebook ( via IE or Mozilla ) or other site , I get a message that adobe plug in has crashed. It only happens on one user on the laptop. If I switch to other user profile flash works fine.
I tried the following but it did not solve the problem. "Try quitting both browsers, then open up the Flash Player control panel (located with your system control panels).  Click the Storage tab and then click the "delete all..." button.  You'll see a "Delete all site data in Flash Player" dialog, make sure that the "Delete all site data and settings" checkbox is checked and click the Delete Data button".
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this problem ?
    thanks

I tried all that for over a week now.

  • Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave crashing has disabled my computer

I have downloaded a second flash player and it is still the same. Firefox has been crashing daily for a few weeks. I noticed that your adblocker plus was updated 6/4. Since then I have almost no use of firefox, because the Adobe flash player 13.0.r0 and Shockwave crash notices are constantly popping up. Could that update have something to do with why the flash players are not working? Below are an example of the crash details.
Thanks for the help. I prefer your browser, but this has made it non-functioning.
In trying to fix it, a window came up that asked would I like to change it back to a previous working image, which was Windows XP. Although this computer is Windows 7, I clicked the box yes, and said I wanted it to work like Windows XP. I see in your Operating System below, that it reads Windows Xp, but this computer is actually Windows 7. I can't find that menu to change unclick and change it back, so that it is working as Windows 7.

AdBlock Plus isn't maintained or connected to Mozilla as they didn't develop it. ABP and Flash don't interfere with each other except on same cases that ABP blocks Flash content.

If that doesn't work try Try to disable Protected Mode in Flash 11.3 and above by adding the line ProtectedMode=0 to the Flash "mms.cfg" file located in one of these locations: [46]
    (Windows 32bit) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
    (Windows 64bit) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
For example, on a Windows 7 64-bit system, open the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, copy the file "mms.cfg" to the desktop, open it in Notepad, add a new line <code>ProtectedMode=0 </code> and then close Notepad, saving your changes. Next, go back to the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder, rename the original file to "mms.cfgBAK" (to save it as a backup) and then drag and drop in the modified "mms.cfg" file from the desktop. [47] [48] [49]
Note: To re-enable Flash Protected Mode, either restore a backup of the original mms.cfg file, if you saved one, or else re-edit the mms.cfg file to remove the <code>ProtectedMode=0 l</code> line you added. Updating Flash Player or installing a newer version does not automatically re-enable Protected Mode
Flash has been a pain since day 1 and Mozilla is currently working to replace Flash with Shumway. Unfortunately it's in the Nightly channel, doesn't come activated automatically and it isn't quite ready for normal usage. I just tested Nightly yesterday with Shumway and it wouldn't play.

  • I use the latest Firefox 13.0.1. I'm using Windows 7. After a day I updated my Adobe Flash Player, suddenly it crashed and showed a blue screen. Please help me.

My Firefox version is 13.0.1. I'm using Windows 7. Adobe Flash Player version is 11.3.300.265. A few minutes after opened the Firefox, suddenly it crashed and a blue screen showed up, it says there are unexpected error occured and forced my computer to be stopped. I need to restart the computer to see either it still show the blue screen or it just fine. After restarted, I use the Firefox once again, but this time, after about 30 minutes, it crashed again. The same blue screen showed up. As I expected, the new Adobe Flash Update crashes with the Firefox 13.0.1. Really need a solution here. Thank you.

    Hi,
Blue screens usually indicate Windows system level problems involving device drivers like graphics card drivers, hardware errors (RAM, hard drive) etc. Malware may also cause this. Searching for the displayed error code would usually provide helpful pointers. The [http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us Windows forum] would also be helpful.

  • Adobe Flash Player has been crashing for months. Can you please correct associated problems?

The following is the message after the successful download from within Microsoft Internet Explorer and Installation of Adobe Flash Player on 8/17/2011 (today): You are now running Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.5
And the following version of Adobe Shockwave Flash Player was downloaded and installed as a plug-in for Mozilla Firefox on 8/15/2011: Shockwave Flash 10.3.183.5
The following link was not working, and in fact access deteriorated since installing the latest Firefox plug-in for Adobe Shockwave Flash Player.
    http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/interchart/interchart.asp?symb=DJIA&time=20
For example it stopped supplying daily data for longer Timelines. Then yesterday the panel on the left side of the webpage appeared garbled. I had been continually getting crashes of the Flash Player for months but never got any notice that I was not up to date.

I find it strange that months of agreeing to send these crash reports did not result in any notifications of updates to Firefox.
Confusion has been introduced because of the similar names for the same application. Microsoft Internet Explorer’s notification states that Adobe Flash Player is not up to date and requests download and installation of the same version that had already been installed within Mozilla Firefox, which refers to this application as Shockwave Flash (of the same version). PLEASE SEE IF USERS CAN BE PROVIDED WITH SOME DISCUSSION OF THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN THESE APPLICATIONS.
What appears currently as fixes on the Firefox website for this application does not fix the problem, but so far it seems that the download from Internet Explorer of Adobe Flash Player (today) fixes the problem of the plug-in. This fix was NOT mentioned within the Mozilla Firefox website. Please note that at this point I do not have enough experience using the “fix” to know if I will not continue to have other problems with this plug-in.
I'm running Windows XP (latest SP and updates) and cannot use Internet Explorer beyond Version 8, since the later versions are apparently only for later MS OSs. Updating to a later OS with older hardware I do not believe is advisable.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.8 Crashing CONSTANTLY

I am irritated beyond belief with this. Whenever Adobe flash player is needed for practically ANYTHING on the internet, it crashes and the only way I can continue on the website is to turn off the plugin, practically rendering the website unaccessable. Like youtube for example. It's entirely reliant on a flash player of any kind so I can't even look at vids there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it alieviates the problem for about 3 minutes tops and the problem arrises again. I don't have another flash player on my comp, unless Java is one. Can any of you help me with this irritating problem? ><

The beta with stability fixes worked for me http://forums.adobe.com/message/5552868#5552868
With the normal release I had crashes every some minutes.

  • Adobe Flash player plugin keeps crashing/Updating not working.

Almost everyday the plug-in keeps crashing which is very annoying. Updating it did not work as there are missing plug-ins and when installing them, you have to install by manual but when downloaded theres no way to open and run the missing plug-in

Reloading the page will often get the video, game or animation to play again.

  • Adobe flash player is always crashing

    hi
first time here..so hope I post correctly.
I run Windows 7 on my pc with 4gb RAM and 64 bit operating system.
My internet browser is Mozilla firefox version 34.0.5
Can someone explain why my adobe flash player crashes multiple times a day. I have to continually go to the adobe page and re-instal it.
I have just re-installed it again ..version 16.0.0.257.
The player crashes when I use ebay or most on-line tv programmes.
    thanks

    Some things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
If you cannot open Reader by itself, try to disable Protected Mode in the registry; download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html
As for your Flash Player problem, try updating your display driver: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765

  • Which Adobe Flash player do I need for Facebook and other videos to show up on screen with Windows 8

PLEASE HELP ME WITH VIDEO FLASH PLAYER FOR WINDOWS 8 for FACEBOOK VIDEOS!

The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFl ash
You can check here what version of Flash player you actually have installed:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version, 10.2.152.25, 10.3.x beta, or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. The first one on the list, Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

How Do I Get The Newest Flash Player on my IBbook G4 To PLay Woozworld If The Newest Flash Player isn't Compatible With my mac Ibook G4...Please Some one help

The iBook G4 800 Mhz model is limited to Mac OS X 10.4.11.
The iBook G4 1 Ghz and higher models can run up to Mac OS X 10.5.8.
Adobe Flash for PowerPC can be upgraded based on this thread:
    Flash 11.5 hack for PowerPC
On both operating systems.  However, if the game is developed for a newer version of Flash, or uses ActiveX and requires more than Windows 2000, you can't use it on an iBook G4.  Please note, games in general from the PC world that require any special animation or audio file formats generally are not playable on PowerPC Macs, unless they were ported to them.    You may seriously want to consider getting a used or refurbished Intel Mac, if playing Windows games is important to you*:

Upgrading to either from Mac OS X 10.1.x (based on your signature), is not easy, and requires an Archive and Install minimum as described here:
