Adobe flash player 11.7 exists for mac power PC?

I have a Mac Power PC with leopard 10.5.5 and I need Adobe Flash Player 11.7.

Not really possible, but there may be a workaround:
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 is for Snow Leopard onwards.
* Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, try the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the version 11.5.502.55:)
Download this http://scriptogr.am/nordkril/post/adobe-flash-11.5-for-powerpc to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • HT2128 install adobe flash player, is it safe for mac

"Install Adobe Flash Player" popped up on the screen. Is it safe to install it on a Mac computer...ie. compatible?
    thanks

It's reasonably safe as long as you get it directly from adobe.com -- nowhere else.

  • I can not get Adobe Flash Player to update on my Mac. It keeps telling me to close Safari even though it is closed. I have tried all suggestions on the Adobe site and always get the same results. Thanks for any help

I can not get Adobe Flash Player to update on my Mac. It keeps telling me to close Safari even though it is closed. I tried every thing on Adobe's site to fix the problem with the same results always. I went to Mac's site as well and was told to go to Adobe for a solution. It worked fine since a new Mac in Feb. ,but it will not update now so no Flash Player ay all. Thanks for any help.

  • I want to upgrade my Adobe Flash player and its asking for a password.

I want to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player but its asking for a password and I cannot remember setting one when I first downloaded Adobe Flash. What to do?

Resetting User Password in Lion, Mountain Lion & Mavericks
Boot into your Recovery Partition by hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting.
When the Recovery screen appears, go to the Utilities menu and open Terminal.
    In Terminal, type:
    resetpassword
...a small app will open and allow you to choose the user for whom you want to change the password. If you are the admin, be certain that you choose your admin user. Type in your new password twice and give yourself a good hint. Click OK (or Done or whatever) and reboot, enjoying the use of your new, hopefully memorable, password.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Which Adobe Flash Player do I need for my Kindle Fire?

Which Adobe Flash Player di I need for my Kindle Fire?

Please see our certified device list for details.  If you're dealing with the older version of the Kindle Fire, Flash Player should be supported.  It is not supported with the latest version of the Fire HD.

  • Video won't run. telling me to update flash player. click on update for mac won't load?

video won't run, telling me to update flash player, click on update for mac won't update. do i need to load flash player and is it ok for mac?

Yes, it's fine for your Mac ...
Most sites such as YouTube require the Flash plugin.
Flash isn't a player per se, but a plugin.
Sometimes uninstalling the current plugin then reinstalling new can help.
Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Make sure and uninstall the old plugin first then restart your Mac.
If you use Safari to view videos, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
    Now try a video.

  • Adobe Flash Player : Are there issues for the Mac?

Should I install Adobe Flash Player on my iMac?
Are there benefits and or issues that I should be aware of?

Providing you only download it from Adobe you should be fine - although there are security concerns relating to Flash from time to time. When they become known OS X's inbuilt X Protect will disable it until a new updated 'safe' version is available. Adobe also update it fairly regularly, so if you do install it set its preferences to allow for updates.
As to whether you need it, only you can decide. It adds functionality to web-browsing so without it you may encounter websites that don;t display all their content.
Many users live without it or install it, but also install a Safari (if that;s the browser you use) extension called Click to Flash which disables Flash content, only displaying it if you choose to by clicking on the placeholder.
An alternative is to use Google Chrome which has its own version of Flash built-in. In that case you don't need a separate install of Flash. However, the downside is you have Google looking over your shoulder .

  • Why will adobe flash player not work on my mac?

  • Adobe Flash Player has been crashing for months. Can you please correct associated problems?

The following is the message after the successful download from within Microsoft Internet Explorer and Installation of Adobe Flash Player on 8/17/2011 (today): You are now running Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.5
And the following version of Adobe Shockwave Flash Player was downloaded and installed as a plug-in for Mozilla Firefox on 8/15/2011: Shockwave Flash 10.3.183.5
The following link was not working, and in fact access deteriorated since installing the latest Firefox plug-in for Adobe Shockwave Flash Player.
    http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/interchart/interchart.asp?symb=DJIA&time=20
For example it stopped supplying daily data for longer Timelines. Then yesterday the panel on the left side of the webpage appeared garbled. I had been continually getting crashes of the Flash Player for months but never got any notice that I was not up to date.

I find it strange that months of agreeing to send these crash reports did not result in any notifications of updates to Firefox.
Confusion has been introduced because of the similar names for the same application. Microsoft Internet Explorer’s notification states that Adobe Flash Player is not up to date and requests download and installation of the same version that had already been installed within Mozilla Firefox, which refers to this application as Shockwave Flash (of the same version). PLEASE SEE IF USERS CAN BE PROVIDED WITH SOME DISCUSSION OF THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN THESE APPLICATIONS.
What appears currently as fixes on the Firefox website for this application does not fix the problem, but so far it seems that the download from Internet Explorer of Adobe Flash Player (today) fixes the problem of the plug-in. This fix was NOT mentioned within the Mozilla Firefox website. Please note that at this point I do not have enough experience using the “fix” to know if I will not continue to have other problems with this plug-in.
I'm running Windows XP (latest SP and updates) and cannot use Internet Explorer beyond Version 8, since the later versions are apparently only for later MS OSs. Updating to a later OS with older hardware I do not believe is advisable.

  • Adobe Flash Player won't install on Mac OS X 10.6.4

I cannot get Adobe Flash Player to install properly on an iMac running OS X 10.6.4. I download the software, run the installer, it appears to install successfully but I receive an error message when I attempt to run a video on Safari: You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video. When I view Library > Application Support > Adobe there is no Flash Player folder. What's strange is that Flash Player was working properly one week prior. My machine specifics:
Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz RAM
    Safari: Version 5.0.1 (6533.17.8)

Hi, Solved your own problem, Cool

  • Adobe Flash Player freezes at 25% on Mac OS X Yosemite????

I have been trying to update my Adobe Flash Player because it will not let me watch any videos online. Ever since I updated my OS X Yosemite, my computer says my flash player is outdated. I tried to delete the download after about 30 minutes because it froze at 25%. I then redownloaded it and it has been frozen again at 25% for over two hours. I am frustrated and I don't know what else to do!!!!!!!!!

This morning we resolved a problem that prevented Flash Player installations from completing for some of our Macintosh users.
If you encountered this problem, please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer and either:
1.)      Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
    2.)      Download the stand-alone installer from  http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg

  • How do i install Adobe flash player 10.2 on my Mac 10.4 Tiger?

Adobe says i have 9.0 flash player on my computer.  I uninstalled it every place i found it and rebooted. Adobe says i still show a 9.0 flash player and i don't know where else to look for it. My computer has all the requirements to download the 10.2 flash player but every time i try to install it, it won't install. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi mgman1974, I know your Mac is not an Intel. You posted on the other thread and I responded to you there. This person,
nicky49 DOES have an Intel Mac and my messages to them are for them, not a PPC.
This is the thread that I gave you on the other thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/812290?tstart=90
From that thread the user said: First I am a MAC OS 10.4.11 32-bit Firefoc v 3.6. My MAC is PowerPC. Therefore, I cannot download and use the new version -10.2.
I responded: I've heard from other PPC users. The latest Flash Player would be version 10.1.102.64. So Google Maps won't support that version either?
They responded to me: HI! Guess What?! 10.1 actually DOES work with MAC OS 10.4.11.
Now you are saying that doesn't work? I thot that Adobe stopped supporting the Power PC. So is there a difference between your G5 PPC and this person's Mac OS 10.4.11 PPC?
I told you I don't understand Mac very well, LOL I'm totally confused!!
Thanks. I just assumed if FP 10.1 worked on that person's PPC it would work on any PPC.
I won't ask what the difference is:-)
