Adobe Flash Player download to Windows 7

Mike M sent a response which included
     Flash Player Uninstall.exe
which I used, then
    Adobe Flash Player (for Internet Explorer) - but it did not install despite saying that it did so successfully.
An earlier forum indicated that after using Flash Player Uninstall.exe, you had to enter
Windows - System 32, and make several choices at certain places before trying to install
Adobe Flash Player.  I have lost some of those steps.  If anyone recognizes
that pattern and can direct me to it, perhaps I can finally download Flash Player to Win 7.
Thanks  neillecho

FULL clean install steps:
Download the following:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Flash Player Uninstaller
Also, download these:
Shockwave Player Uninstaller
Shockwave Player 112 FULL installer (ther browsers)
You'll need to install Shockwave with the FULL installer for IE too, but there isn't a direct download for it. You'll need to go to: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/ using IE AFTER everything else is done.
Save all the files and close your browser.
Run the uninstallers first (both of them)
Go to: C/Windows/System32
Delete the Macromed folder.
Go to: C/Windows/SysWOW64
Delete the Macromed folder.
Open your Registry Editor (Start>Run or press the Windows key + R and type 'regedit' [minus the quotes] and click OK)
In the Registry Editor, go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE
Delete the Macromedia folder (Right click and choose "Delete").
Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software and delete the Macromedia folder there too.
Close the Registry Editor and empty your recycle bin.
Run the Flash Player installers, and then the Shockwave FULL installer you downloaded.
Lastly, open IE and go to: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/ to download and install the Shockwave FULL installer for ActiveX (IE).

System preferences firewall is off and apps are allowed from anywhere and in Safari other plug ins are allowed and cookies are not blocked and pop up windows are not blocked. Why won't Flash Player download?

    Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
    If you are installing for the first time,this is where to DL it.

  • Adobe flash player download help

    please help me i want to download adobe flash player for my window 8 laptop thanks martin

    This is a user-to-user forum, and we're all volunteers, here, so there isn't someone monitoring the posts 24/7.
    That said, Windows 8 comes with Flash Player installed (for Internet Explorer). If you're seeing notices that you need to update your Flash Player, and you DON'T have another browser (like Chrome or Firefox) installed, Windows Update should download the latest Flash Player and install it for Internet Explorer.
    If that doesn't do it, download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following link and selecting "Save target as".
    Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
    When asked, choose to Save the file - DO NOT run it.
    Reboot, and BEFORE opening Internet Explorer, go to your downloads folder and run the installer.
    If even that doesn't work, follow the instructions to do a "clean install".

    The version of “Adobe Flash Player” on your system does not include the latest security updates and has been blocked. To continue using “Adobe Flash Player”, download an updated version from Adobe’s website.

    You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
    Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.
    You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
    You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
    and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

    Does Macbook really needs adobe flash player download in order to watch video clips on the web?

    Hello Angel8C,
    Your MacBook Air running Yosemite will need an updated version of the Flash Player plugin to play web content that is in the Flash format (not all video content is Flash; there is also HTML5 video, amongst others). If you are being prompted to update your Flash Player plugin, you may find the following article helpful:

  • Just Let Me Download the Adobe Flash Player Please for Windows 8

    I have Windows 8 on my laptop and there is no adobe flash player on my computer.  I have Adobe Reader X instead and when I try to download from Adobe.com I keep getting information for checking for the flash player.  I know I don't have it on my system.  Why can't I just download the flash player? Please help me!

    Flash Player is a built-in component of Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and higher.  Pixsta may be making an assumption that no longer holds true on Windows 8 or higher.  You'd need to consult with their technical support for a resolution, sorry.

  • Adobe Flash Player download wont work.

    I have a custom desktop PC which is running Win XP SP3 OS. It also has Google Chrome, IE8 and Firefox V5 as browsers and all have been working without any problem. I recently downloaded the latest versiou of Chrome...12 or 13 which was just released early last week...the upgrade is working fine, but apparently  as a result of downloading this upgrade i started receiving messeages saying i need to download Adobe Flash Player. Sooo...i did download FP version 10.3.181.34...this is the version of IE and Firefox. I went through all the usual download screens and got the message saying it had been downloaded successfully. I checked my Add/Rem listing and it is listed there as properly installed and working. Unfortunately, every time i use a program which requires the FP i get the same message that i need to download Adobe FP.  I have gone through all of my system settings ...Security etc. The Flash Player icon in my Control Panel shows the FP as properly installed. I run AVG anti virus software so i turned all of that off and tried to open a website which required FP and still no success. My PC is working properly and running smoothly in all other respects and I have never had a problem with any Adobe product before. I have run Advanced System Care...deep scan which i usually do bi weekly...no help. I have checked all of my security settings and set them all on low ...no help. I am not a computer technician and have sort of run out of options. As probably an important aside...at the same time as my problem with the FP started I also received an Error message...:0x8007043B...following up on that via Microsoft it said that BITS is not running and outlined several steps to take to resolve that problem..I followed them to the letter several times but they didnt solve the problem.BITS is still not running and while i have no idea what that is I'm sure it is either the or one of the reasons I am unable to get FP to work even though it is downloaded properly.
    Im sure I have left out some important information,but will be happy to provide it if anyone can take the time to help me solve this problem. I even tried to identify the previous version of Chrome so I could delete the recent upgrade and resinstall it and cant find it anywhere! Finally, I tried to solve my problem using System Restore going back to before I downloaded the newest version of Chrome...no luck there either.
    Thanks very much for any help .
    Jerry

    At this stage my only idea is a clean install of Flash Player; please try the following
    download the FP uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html and save it to disk;
    download the FP installers (both ActiveX & plugin) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html and save them to disk;
    close all browser windows and run the downloaded uninstaller;
    restart Windows;
    go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash and delete any remaining files in there;
    now run the downloaded installers.
    If you still can't get FP to work, then we need to think about something else, e.g. why both FP and Java stopped working.  At the moment I can't think of anything.

  • How do I remove an Adobe Flash Player pop up window?

    Websites might occasionally want to store information, such as your high score from a game that runs in  Flash Player or what products you have purchased, to your computer. In the Global Storage Settings panel, you can control how much disk space websites can use to store information, or you can prohibit websites from storing any information at all. (If you prohibit websites from storing information, the website might or might not function as intended.)
    Use this panel to specify the default storage settings for websites that you haven't yet visited. (To change settings for websites you have already visited, use the Website Storage Settings panel.) The following list explains the storage options:
    If you don't want to let applications from any website save information on your computer, and you don't want to be asked again, select Never Ask Again. This action doesn't delete any information that is already stored. (To delete existing information, use the Delete options in the Website Storage Settings panel.)
    If you want to decide on a case-by-case basis whether applications from a website can save information on your computer, move the slider to the far left (None). Each time an application wants to save information on your computer, you will be asked for more disk space.
    If you want to let applications from any website save as much information on your computer as they need to, move the slider to the far right (Unlimited).
    If you want to let applications from any website save information on your computer, but want to limit the amount of disk space they can use, move the slider to select 10 KB, 100 KB, 1 MB, or 10 MB. If an application needs more space than you have allotted, you will be asked for more disk space while the application is running.
    (Flash Player 8 and later) If you do not want to let third-party content store information on your computer, deselect Allow Third-Party Content To Store Data On Your Computer.
    When you visit a website, the address shown in the browser address bar is usually where most of the website is located. For example, if you visit a fictional website www.[hotel].com, most of the website is located at www.[hotel].com. Sometimes, websites combine content from different sources. For example, www.[hotel].com might display a reservations form in Flash that actually comes from [reservations.hotel].com. The content from the latter website is called third-party content.
    Third-party content might try to store information on your computer. In the hotel reservations example, you might be willing to let [reservations.hotel].com store information on your computer, such as data about which hotels you prefer, so that you can make a hotel reservation. However, you might not be willing to let third-party content store information on your computer in other situations. For example, a car-rental company, www.[my-car-rental].com, might have a banner ad on www.[hotel].com, to track your website usage or to record your preferences.
    To prohibit all third parties from storing information on your computer, deselect Allow Third-Party Content To Store Data On Your Computer. This option is available only with Flash Player 8 and later. Adobe recommends that you upgrade to the most recent version of Flash Player available.
    (Flash Player 9.0.115.0 and later) If you do not want to store Flash components on your computer, deselect Store Common Flash Components To Reduce Download Times.
    Flash Player lets you store common or shared SWF and FLV files and other components from different websites on your computer to significantly reduce download times and allow faster viewing. For example, www.[hotel].com and [reservations.hotel].com might both use the same Adobe components on their sites.
    For an overview of issues related to storage, see What are storage settings? in the discussion of the Settings Manager.
