  • Adobe flash player green screen when playing videos

    Hello,
I get this green screen when I play videos on my IE9 browser on a Win 7 (64-bit) desktop computer. This green screen appears when playing a video which uses the Adobe flash player (version 11.5.502.146) but happens only after the an initial portion of the video (entire video is loaded already) is played and the rest of the video is green screen and is played at accelerated rates, as if it was being fast forwarded. The audio from the video is also affected as it plays static of different frequencies.
The videos I've been watching are from http://xin.msn.com/ and http://www.youtube.com/. I've also tried to solve this with disabling hardware acceleration from the flash player's menu, and uninstalling and reinstalling and then rebooting the computer, both of which are different attempts which did not resolve the issue.
Help to fix this issue on hand will be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks

  • Adobe Flash Player - Green Screen and Jumbled Audio Issue

I currently have gotten my new PC and I watched to watch some videos online.
Some sites like youtube I seem to have no issues, but with others. The video will work till random points and then suddenly it will start to go green screen. The audio will become jumbled as if it were skipping through the reset of the video.
I have tried all types of solutions I have looked up and even tried some of the troubleshooting on the adobe flask troubleshooting list.
yet I am still unable to figure out this issue.
    Build:
ASUS MAXIMUS VII FORMULA/WATCH DOGS LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

I think those are all the parts that you may need to know to maybe help me? I'm not sure.
I am running currently Windows 7 64 Bit as well.
Everythings up to date and is working fine so I just can't figure this out.
I am also using Google Chrome for my web browser.
I would appreciate any help in getting this fixed as it is becoming an annoyance and is the first time I have ever experienced this issue.
My old PC didn't have issues like this. =(

  • Adobe flash player installer screen blank.

Every time I try to install the latest Flash player the "Adobe Flash Player Installer" screen goes blank. I'm on mac by the way (Yosemite) "Getting installation" and the bar shows up for a split second and then dissapears. The rest of the screen is completely blank, no matter what I do. I have shut down browsers and all other relevant programs before attempting the install, so it's not that. Also, I have uninstalled flash to do a clean install, but it made no difference.
Please help me fix this problem. I have found no help for it.. I can't believe adobes installation software is bugged like this.

    Try the offline installer:

  • Flash Player green screen crash

When i'm trying to watch a movie in online player that uses Adobe Flash, im getting green screen for fev seconds, then stuck and crash. Green screen appears sometimes after 5 sec from start of the movie, sometimes after 15 min. I checked on Firefox and Chrome(with pepper flash and normal flash), both the same crash. In task manager I noticed, that plugin-container.exe or one of chrome.exe's take 25% of my cpu (1 core) when they stuck. Also when there is a green screen, time on player goes 50x faster. Tried reinstalling flash and graphic driver, both don't work.
    My pc:
    Windows 7 64 bit 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1
    AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 960T Processor, 3000 MHz (4 cores)
    2x2 gb Kingston DDR3 1333MHz RAM

    Gigabyte HD 6770 1gb GDDR5 (newest non-beta drivers)
    120gb Kingston Hyperx SSD sh103s3/120g
    OCZ CoreXStream 500W
    Flash player version: 13.0.0.182
I know, my English isn't best.

reinstalled 2 times, i saw Your other posts
@edit On some players movie just skips, for example: there is a 1:37 , video stucks, and next i see 1:55 instead of 1:39, it happens few times in row (on some players it's with green screen but after 5-10 sec it changes to very pixelated black-white screen, like old tv without signal, but more pixelated), then video stucks and i need to refresh page. Tried watching many movies in about 10-15 players, only youtube works, because, i think, that it uses html5.
    Any ideas?
@edit2 I disabled web shield in Avast, because i couldn't view pages, and I think that helped with flash player too.
@edit3 Yes, turning off Avast web shield helped not only with flash player but also with downloading errors and no page loading.

  • Adobe flash player installer screen won't close

I was going to install it and found it was going to install Google chrome, and I didn't want that. So, I cancelled it and now I can't get the installer screen off my computer! Any help?

    Reboot.
Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by clicking one of the following links.
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Nothing in those but the Flash Player plugin.

  • Adobe Flash Player Installer Screen completely black

When trying to install Adobe Flash Player, Mac 10.10.2, Safari 8.0.4, the Adobe Flash Player Installer page and popup screens are completely black and not accessible.

    A) The screenshot didn't work. It's not complex to visualize. Just imagine a window in the app "Install Adobe Flash Player" which has the words Adobe Flash Player Installer in the top most horizontal section, on the same level as the Mac Red and Yellow circles. Then imagine that everything below that level is completely black. That's what it looks like.
    B) When I went to Installation problems | Mac, and hit "
Flash Player for Safari and Firefox - NPAPI
then I get a Safari tab http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg. The entire window area below the tab line is also completely black. Plus there is a pop-up that says "Plug-in blocked for this website"

  • Warning: Your Adobe Flash Player version is outdated. (false error message)

When I get this false error message and click on the link, Adobe tells me my current Flash Player version is 11.9.900.170 and "Your system is: Windows 64-bit, English". I actually have an iMac with OSX 10.7.5, and Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.170 already installed. I've reinstalled, deleted Flash Player completely and reinstalled several times and yet I continue getting these false "Windows 64-bit" update needed error messages for my iMac computer. How do I stop these false error messages?

I'm having a similar issue on both my Macbook Pro (OSX Mavericks), my iPhone 5S (iOS 7.0.4) and my wife's iPhone 5C (iOS 7.0.4). It happens on almost every site I viisit and when I launch some apps. I've cleared histories, caches and turned Javascript on/off. Also, get the "warning" when I use Chrome for iOS. I've added an image below of what it looks like on my phone. I'm attempting a factory restore on my 5S. I'll let you know if it helps.

  • Flash player hanging with hardware acceleration enabled

I'm having the following problem: The Flash player is working fine for some apparently random period of time, then it hangs when it is starting up in order to display a video.  This appears to happen only when hardware acceleration is enabled.  (I have not noticed any problems with hardware acceleration disabled, but I only discovered 24 hours ago that this helped.).  The hang happens under all web browsers (Firefox reports that the Flash player crashed, but it is actually hung on start up, not crashed).  After a hang occurs, trying to view any other Flash video also hangs, and all other programs that attempt to access the video card like Windows Media Player also hang.  The only way to reset things and get video working again is to reboot the machine.
I suspect the problem is either the Flash player or the machine's graphics driver.  I'm running Flash Player WIN 10,1,53,64 under Windows 7 64 on an Intel Core i5 machine with Intel GMA HD graphics, driver version 8.15.10.2025.
BTW, is there anyway to permanently disable Flash's use of hardware acceleration? (if I disable, the setting doesn't seem to want to stay)

Thanks.  The computer is a Lenovo Thinkpad T510.  Intel's utility reports:

  • Flash Player 10.1 hardware acceleration problems

Just to join the chorus of people having problems with this, we have a custom Flash based video player which is showing behaviour that resembles packet loss when playing back streaming media, ie blocks of empty green content on the frame.
The thing is there is no packet loss. This happens in any browser running Flash 10.1, however in those same browsers if we turn hardware accelleration off in the Flash settings menu the problem goes away. All machines this is occuring on are running OS and GPU chipset combinations which are listed as being compatible with Flash 10.1 h/w accelleration.
What I'd like to know from Adobe is, will someone be identifying why this is happening? e.g. is this simply a mis-match between GPU and Flash?
Its difficult to imagine users with 10.1 installed being able or willing to either disable accelleration or even worse have to upgrade their video drivers?
    thanx in advance,
    Dean Stringer

You have correctly identified the cause of the display problems; video drivers that do not fully support hardware acceleration, and must therefore either be updated, or hardware accleration turned off.

  • Linux Flash Player woes with hardware acceleration

I am trying to get hardware accelerated Youtube video on my Ubuntu 10.04 box. There is nothing unusual about the hardware: Intel C2D, 945G chipset, and nVidia GT210 graphics. (also tried 9600GT and GT440 without success). The OS, nVidia driver, and libvdpau have been kept up-to-date thru Update Manager and Synaptic . But among Flash Player 10.3, 11.0, 11.1, and 11.2 beta that I have tried, none can work consistently with video rendering and video decoding enabled by having "EnableLinuxHWVideodecode=1" to /etc/adobe/mms.cfg. It doesn't matter which version of Firefox I use, or whether the libflashplayer.so is placed in local plugins directory or global.
    - Flash Player 10.3 is perfect until it reaches the end of the clip. Click on Replay at that time, the player rewinds and starts to play. But there is only audio. The video window becomes solid black.
    - Flash Player 11.0 and 11.1 have no accelerated video rendering until I go full screen. Once with accelerated rendering, they have the same problem with replay as 10.3.
    - Flash Player 11.2 beta crashes frequently when I switch video size from the default 360p to something else, or change player mode from default small player to full screen.
11.2 beta seems to be free from the replay issue. But I cannot try enough videos to be certain because usualy it crashes before reaching the end of clips. As 10.3, 11.0, and maybe even 11.1 are already legacy, my only hope is Adobe can make the 11.2 stable for Linux before it is locked down for release. Am I alone on this or there are other Linux users out there having similar problems?
    Thanks

    Hi Alex1113,
Thanks for your reply and filing of bug 3077372. I searched the BugBase and found another recent report (https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3075575) on 11.2_p3 crash. It happens when switching to "Larger Player" video size. Since I have seen both types of problems, I voted for both ID 3077372 and 3075575 with comments instead of filing duplicated reports.
    To others,
The crash seems to be rather gneric. So far it has been reported for Fedora 14, Ubuntu 10.04, Ubuntu 11.10, 32-bit, and 64-bit. I believe it should happen to other configurations with both hardware render and decoding enabled. Please add your votes to raise the priorities of those bugs. Hopefully we will draw enough attention to have them fixed in the next beta.
    Thanks,
    Franklin

  • Adobe Flash with R9 290 Hardware Acceleration Black Videos

I am not sure what causes this bug. I can restart the computer and it fixes the issue but randomly after a while it goes back to black. I can disable hardware acceleration and sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. There are 2 other people I know that had this issue. This happens to me both in Firefox and Chrome.
    http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2179088/290-black-screen-issue-possibly-due-adobe-f lash.html#14303459
I would report it to the bug site but it seems to be broken.
    Images:
    R9 290 Black Video Bug - Imgur

With hardware acceleration, we basically just hand everything off to the video card driver.  It's pretty much an on/off proposition.  My recommendation would be to install the latest AMD drivers that match that chipset to see if there are bugfixes that the OEM hasn't picked up.  Ongoing driver updates on these OEM cards typically aren't as good as what you'd get from an AMD-branded card, but the AMD drivers will typically work (but are unsupported) for the cards made by third-party integrators.  Just set a system restore point or keep a copy of the OEM drivers handy in the odd case you need to roll back.
If you're experiencing this with hardware acceleration disabled, make sure that you're looking at Flash video.  YouTube serves a lot of HTML5 video these days.  If you right click on it and it says About HTML5, disabling hardware acceleration in Flash isn't going to help you.
Anyway, if you're for sure looking at Flash videos that aren't rendering and hardware acceleration is disabled, please send me an exact link to the video that reproduces it.
In addition, detailed information about your OS and the browser version would be helpful in attempting to reproduce it on our end.
    Thanks!
