Adobe Flash Player not anymore in the plugin-container?
Hello,
i updated Firefox to 13.0 and FlashPlayer to 11.3 r300.
Now when i want to look a youtube video etc. not the plugin-container but 2 processes called FlashPlayerPlugin_11_3_300_257.exe handle the flash video (playing music, want to connect to the internet etc.).
Is it normal, that the FlashPlayer is now a standalone process and not anymore isolated in the plugin-container?

i cant figure out how to download the application any other way. everytime i click on it in the downloads box it says application not found.
Well, after hours of trying to figure it out I gave up and un-installed and re-installed that last verion of Adobe Flash Player and now it seems I can play games again in Messenger. Everything else had been fine just that. I can only figure it was because it was having a hard time updating the first time and took me 3 tries. So even though it said it was installed, apparently it wasn't done correctly.
Though when I couldn't figure out what was wrong at first I looked and checked to see all the things were enabled that were supposed to be and they were.
I even tried to go to the Adobe site and download the last version I had and couldn't find it. Kept coming up with the new version. Others said if you download a particular older version it may not have all the security features in it.
This really gets to be a bit much, especially when you're by yourself and have only a smattering of knowledge of technical things.

I'm sorry if i did errors of spelling because I used google translation. I 'm french .I finally figured it out. Flash Player had not installed. I had to de-activate Active-X thru the safety tab on the menu bar and then download the Adobe Flash Player and now it's working. I re-activated Active X after I finished installing Flash,. Hope fully everything will keep working fine!

I've just bought a brand new macbook pro and have tried to download adobe flash many many times and it just won't work. It tells me that I need adobe Flash player so I click the link, which takes me to the adobe website, I then download it, follow all the prompts and installation is complete. But then I go back and the message appears again that I need adobe flash player!!! I am about to tear my hair out, please help!

Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both free in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

It's referring to the MAC password that you have setup.
A software prompts for a password only when there are restrictions set on the user account for unauthorised access to system files and folders. -

Others had to go a step further after deleting YouTube cookies and block YouTube from saving cookies. In the Tools menu select Options to open the Options window. Go to the Privacy panel and make sure it is set to "Use custom setting for history". Click the Exceptions button, type in http://www.youtube.com and click on Block
Another option is to disable hardware acceleration for Flash. To do that right-click on a Flash video, select Settings, go to the first tab of the settings for the option to enable/disable hardware acceleration for Flash. When trying to open a video I always get this message 'Adobe Flash Player not allowed". If I right click I get a message saying "allow this plug in". I click that and the video works. Sometimes the right click does nothing, so I cannot view the video.

Apple and Adobe could never come up with an OS that liked flash and a version of flash that worked on the OS. So never the twain will meet. and now Adobe is abandoning mobile flash in favor of other things, so it's become a moot point.
With the surge in the number of mobile devices and the fact that a lot of them don't use flash, site creators will need to take mobile devices into account when they create their sites and assess their accessibility. -
